Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Cons: No remote for the car - had to open with a key and then unlock for others. No auto lights-several times I forgot to turn lights on or off. These seem to be standard on every new car and not unusual options. Price is high. When flying, how are you supposed to get to the off site locations that the searches show having reasonable pricing?

Cons: Dollar didn't have any cars. 15 people waiting, no cars. Two extremely unhelpful employees. Waited 45 minutes and then ended up taking a 90 minute Uber ride so I didn't miss my meeting.

Pros: They washed the car before they gave it to me that was about it the
Cons: The people who work here are over worked and a manager was no where to be found. I wanted an hour to get through the line to get to the counter. The staff was uninformed on the toll roads and tried to use that miss inforation to get me to purchase a 15 dollar a day toll pass. (I spent 5 dollars in tolls my entire trip 5 days). Front of house staff and back house staff did not communicate well and seemed to be having arguements over the wallow talkie system. Would not recommend

Pros: Nice fleet of cars. Nice vehicle. Good customer service at the counter.
Cons: Not so good customer service over the phone. Three keys attached to one keychain and cannot be removed, what's the point of that?? There was melted chocolate in the glove compartment, I hope it was chocolate. Lastly, we needed the rental for one extra day, to avoid being charged a weekly rate which was double what we were paying, we had to return the car and rent another one. This was inconvenient and probably could've been solved over the phone with some good customer service.

Cons: Kayak indicated a full size car for a certain price. Actual cost was 2 1/2 more. To get a midsize.

A little chaotic, but with good results
Pros: The car was great. The agent gave me an upgrade after a bit of a mixup at the time of pickup. Very easy to drop off.
Cons: The pickup process was chaotic, a bit loud, and disorganized. The agents bickered with each other about a mix-up over a car being assigned to me and another customer. However, I did feel like the woman helping me had my back. She was great. I felt looked-after. But the situation was confusing and unappealing.

Convenient pick up
Pros: We appreciated the ease of pick up
Cons: On our return, we typed in Dollar Car rental and GPS took us to another airport parking lot. So we had to call corporate to find correct location. Just having a return address on the receipt would help out of towners like us. When we arrived the staff were just hanging around lazily. Driver of the bus didn't help with bags, little communication.

Couldn't have been Easier!
Pros: Got to the airport at the appointed time, car was ready, paperwork went quickly, and I was in and out the door and driving my SUV in under 15 minutes. For my money, saving me time is the most important thing.
Cons: Had a friend drive me to the airport to pickup the rental, but there's no place for 'private vehicles' to park and wait while I do the paperwork. My friend was able to go to the cell phone lot and wait for me, so it all worked out in the end. Would be nice if private vehicles could wait somewhere on prem, but it's not a major problem at all, especially with the lightning-fast service the Dollar employees provided.

Worst customer service experience I've had in a long time
Cons: The location was disorganized and inefficient. I waited a long time despite the fact that the employees outnumbered the customers. My service rep was reasonably polite but took too long - she had to walk back out to the car a couple of times because she had forgotten to get certain information. The woman at the gate when I exited was very curt. Just an abysmal experience overall.

Pros: Great Car, good value.
Cons: The address on the website, and on google maps is incorrect, 8800 Essington Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19153. The real location is on Garage Access Road, and when we told the staff inside, they were wholly unbothered by the fact that their website and google were leading people astray.

Bait and switch beware
Pros: The shuttle driver was very helpful and friendly at the airport.
Cons: I was supposed to get an intermediate car but got a Ford Focus. I waited over 1 hour to get the car. The car was problematic as it almost stalled several times. The car was more expensive that on the web as I paid over 300 dollars for two days while the online quote was less than 200 dollars.

Pros: Nice car.
Cons: I told them to not put insurance and they still put it on and charged me twice as much from what I was looking at originally. Kayak had one price and somehow I got another price for just two days.

Cons: I was so disappointed in my vehicle. I had a Kia Forte. It has probably got to be the worst car I ever rented. The noises, the squeaking and the roughness of driving the car was horrendous. I will never rent again from Dollar

Courteous and quick help
Pros: When I got lost and also when I could not start the keyless car, the 800 # help was quick and courteous and accurate. Made me feel confident.

Pretty Good Value
Pros: Check in was great. The girls behind the desk were great... Value was a great price.
Cons: Check out was not as courteous. The guy never talked to me. He just handed me the final car slip. No thank you.

Pros: Great value, decent car.
Cons: No walkaround prior to rental. After I left the lot, I discovered the car had body damage. During the rental period, i was concerned that I would be charged for the damage but fortunately I wasn't as there was not a walkaround inspection when I returned the car either . Also, the fuel policy is a scam. Buy the tank of fuel in the car for a king's ransom OR pay $9.00/gallon upon return OR gas it yourself within 10 miles of the airport and provide a receipt proving the distance. There are very few gas stations within 10 mile of the Philly airport so this was quite burdensome to avoid an enormous charge to refuel the car.

Beware -- Bait and Switch!
Cons: I rentedd a full size carl. When I got to the counter that said that I could only get a full size car if one was on the lot. They only had compact cars and required me to pay a full price for a "premium" car/ O will not rent from Dollar again.

Pros: Friendly upon arrival
Cons: Charged extra when brought back 1/2 hour late - Despite giving me wrong car the day before and sending me through hoops to get the proper one after ready to leave lot. Very displeased. Unlikely to use Dollar again in future

Pros: The return was very easy.
Cons: I didn't buy the insurance because I'm covered with my own private plan and the customer service really tanked after I told them that. They took a very long time to bring us our car and finally put us in a 2015 mazda of some kind. However, they then pulled us out of that car just as we had started the ignition and put us in an old impala that was an extremely mediocre vehicle.

Pros: Terrible experience - the Dollar shuttle never showed up at the airport (despite me calling) and so I was not able to get to the rental car parking lot to pick up my car. Will never use them again.

Pros: The agent who checked me in was pleasant and accommodating, in light of the fact that there was no car available for me.
Cons: There was no car available in the size I reserved upon arrival. They tried to give me a car that looked more like it was pulled out of someone's garage than a legitimate rental. Upon return, the agent was less than congenial. I realize it was early in the morning, but a smile and verbal communication are essential to the job, one would think.

Pros: Great value for money. Car in good condition. Friendly staff.
Cons: Drop off/pick-up could have been streamlined. Kind of long wait for the shuttle. Two people in a row were assigned cars from the same spot so I had to wait for the person in front of me to leave before I could.

Cons: I rented this car because the description said it would hold five people and two suitcases. When I checked in at Dollar they gave me a Ford Fiesta. It barely held my wife and myself and it was a struggle to get our two suitcases in the hatch. I will never rent a car again that does not spell out exactly what the make of the car is.

Pros: The return at ABE was great. Iesha was great. Friendly , information and helpful.
Cons: Sharon was not. She told me the extra charges were all taxes. The price of the rental was $20 more than I was quoted from kayak. She could see the disappointment on my face. Her response was, did you want the car or not ? Come to find out, she added nearly $10 because I pick the car up 40 minutes earlier than I had planned.

Pros: The Lady at the counter was a sweetheart and made the rental process clear and understandable. The shuttle drivers were courteous and friendly and kept the buses clean.
Cons: The car was clean but it looked as though it was done quickly and it was not done carefully. Streaks on windows and rearview mirror.

Pros: The person at the desk. He was nice, everything thing else about your rotten company should be thrown out.
Cons: Waste of my time and I went to Alamo and gladly gave them my money. What a nice and accommodating company. Easy to work with and inexpensive. They did just what they advertised. Your company is tacky dusty and deceptive. You know how this goes with, now I'm going to tell 5 people who will tell 5 people and..... By the end of the week about 1000 people with if they don't already know how terrible your company is and to NEVER use you. Good day

Dollar bait and swicth.
Cons: Car was a sub-compact when I asked for a midsize. Price changed from $200.00 to $498.00 at counter. Went to a different car rental.

Bait & Switch
Cons: I made the purchase on Kayak using the parameters in the app and booked online. Once they had the shuttle take me to the store, the price doubled, though they could clearly see the price booked from kayak, they refused to honor it, saying the problem was with kayak. After protesting, I eventually had to leave because I was short on time. Weeks later, after filing a complaint on their website, kicking a storm on Twitter, my issue remains unresolved. Never again.
