Gorgeous, clean, affordable Nothing
The location is great for events downtown. I like to walk, and the central location is nice. Staff was really friendly. We were there for a show at the Saenger which was just a couple blocks away. I would stay there again I didn't like the parking setup. I don't know where the garage was, and you have to stop right on the very busy Canal street and valet. It was pretty much a zoo in front of the hotel the whole time~ But again, the staff was helpful and friendly
The crown plaza is a nice hotel. Older but nice You cannot go outside without someone on the sidewalk wanting money, cigs, food.....something. I had one person start cursing me because I wouldn't give him anything.

Check in was a breeze, valet and bellboy were SUPER helpful. We even got some great recommendations for that night and for future visits from staff. The lobby was stunning! After check out, we left our baggage with concierge at the front of the lobby to continue our morning exploring without being weighed down. Overall, great visit! Comfortable beds, clean, nice accomodations. We didn't like being surprised by the $50 valet charge at check out!
Location My room was not clean properly...a pair of dirty women underwear were hanging on my bathroom door. The bed had stains on the sheets and the room smelled. I will not stay at this hotel again!!!

Having no working remote control for the TV (who doesn't love bonding time), and no free lotion (ashy legs for the win!). There was a swingers convention going on at this hotel, which we were not made aware of, and were continuously cruised by older couples while simply trying to smoke cigarettes. We're not bored with our sex life just yet.

Room was nice and comfortable, looked to be recently remodeled. Nothing is included. I had to pay extra to park, extra for the wifi and extra for the breakfast. If I had known this I definitely would have not stayed here. Staff seemed very busy and did not have time to answer any questions that you might have.
The rooms were clean, rooms comfortable, location great, and the staff were accommodating. There was no fridge in the room, and free wifi was only on the lobby.

We were unable to reach our hotel. No one told us when we made our reservations that Mardi Gras parades (at least two) would be passing by our hotel after 4:00 p.m. (which is check in) making it impossible to get to our hotel. We waited in traffic for over 3 hours trying to reach our hotel, then the New Orleans police started diverting all the traffic and set up barriers making it impossible to be anywhere near Canal Street. The front desk at the Marriott told us they couldn't guarantee we could reach the hotel by midnight. We had to drive to Baton Rouge to get a hotel and missed out being with family the next day for our grandchild's 1st birthday.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Made us feel special. The rooms were nice and the new beds were the most comfortable I have experience in any hotel. The only complaint is they need to put more outlets in the room. I would stay at the Hotel Marriott again.

Also, housekeeping didn't come to our room one day. At least it wasn't clean when we got back at 5 pm, and at that point I wanted a nap.
Every one of the staff went out of their way to help us. Very enjoyable stay. No refrigerators! Really needed in that climate.
This hotel is near the chaos of canal street and bourbon street but off them just enough for a quiet nights sleep. The staff were friendly and they did a good job making up the room daily. The highlight was the doorman, Glenn. He was nice, knowledgeable, and knew a lot about the area.

Booked one night and paid in advance, after my stay they charged me over $200 and would not assist in helping me. Just seemed like I was dealing with a bunch of morons. Would choose another hotel with a smarter staff next time.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and comfortable. Hotel was quiet and away from the constant noise of Bourbon Street. Many art boutiques and cool shops along the road to browse in. When I first checked in I was given a room that was already occupied so I had to cart all my stuff back to the front desk. My tub did not drain properly. I complained twice but it was not fixed. I left something in the room, called, was told to go to a website to report it but as of today have not heard anything about the item I left behind which has a high sentimental value.
The location was super convenient for spending time in the French Quarter. Since it's right near Bourbon St, the elevators had keycard access, which made me feel a bit more safe. No issue getting shuttles to and from the hotel from other services. They were able to hold my bag after check out when I had a really late flight home. We found old, empty beer cans and a few other things hidden under our beds. The staff was pretty gruff, even when I popped in to the front desk at 8AM, before all the drunk tourists started causing problems. The A/C was either a freezing blast or a furnace, no in-between.
I liked being within walking distance to everything. The beds were also comfortable. There was no fridge in the room. The air didn't work very good. The bathroom mirror light didn't work and kept turning off leaving the bathroom pretty dark. I went to a total of 4 vending machines and none had bottled water. On one the return change button was broken so you had to buy something even though it wasn't what you wanted. Complained to the front desk and was told they refill on Thirsdays. This was on a Saturday and Sunday morning.
2 queen beds provided for 4 people, beds were small but very comfortable. Pool is small but warm, great for kids. No mini-fridge in room. Tea and coffee in room not adequate. Parking is valet only at 38 dollars per day. Park at airport instead for 11 dollars a day. Hotel wants to pay for your tour in exchange for participating in a time-share scam. We declined.

- Location, location, location. Traveled with a friend and this was incredibly convenient to everything we wanted to do in NOLA. I'd absolutely bring bikes if you have the means, makes the city a lot more accessible and reduces transportation issues. - Pool - Staff was awesome, very accommodating even at the last minute - it's clear that they all like their jobs - Stored our bikes in the room downstairs so they didn't take up space in the smaller room and the doormen were always available to open it up for us. Before we found this out they kept our car in a gated lot close by to make sure our bikes were safe on the car. - Free drinks at bar are slightly misleading... Not a total scam but just make sure you want well liquor and add up the cost prior to making it a double with "premium" liquor. - Valet can be slow but they did give a heads up that it would take 40 minutes at some times. - Depending on where you are in the hotel you may have a way to walk down the halls to your room but this isn't really a big deal. - Truly not that bad - if I HAD to pick bad things this is what I remember but I would absolutely stay there again.
I loved the location of the hotel the staff was courteous and friendly. The in hotel restaurant had good food but was a bit pricey. Our room was clean, I am a picky person so it met my standards. I thought some areas could have had better house keeping. Large dust bunnies were all over the floor near the stairs. The main area that was traveled by the guests were kept cleaner. But most importantly I didn't like that they permitted a drunken homeless person to sleep outside of the hotel doors, not a good first impression for many guests.
I can't even put into words just how amazing the staff were. Every single person I met was so friendly and accommodating. Even going as far as making me a make shift shower chair due to my ankle being broken and needing assistance. Every need was met and then some! The ONLY issue we had was the sensitivity of the room keys. We had to have them remagnetized every day sometimes numerous times in a day.

The room was giant The place was shabby, even the uniforms were cheap. The hotel bar closed at 12:30, the room service was from like 4-10 and was provided by a third party, in the morning I called for a sprit and it took FOREVER for it come. I paid 450 for that room. I should have been at the Four Seasons level.
Staying on the corner of Bourbon Street and Orleans St was perfect. The staff was very friendly, including valet and bellman. We didn't ask for much, but we were given a lot. The free drink at check in certainly didn't hurt! I also really liked the beautiful area in front of check in. It reminded me if a formal living room, and any time I stopped to sit in there I met other guests. It was just so homey. I didn't like the parking fee. I booked through Trip Advisor and it said parking, but nothing about the extra fee. I think it was more the surprise of it that kind of bothered me. Also, I'm not certain the air was working. It wasn't hot, but it wasn't cool either. That said, we never mentioned it to the staff, given we were only in the room to sleep, so I think they would have fixed it or moved us had they known.
Beautiful hotel with friendly, efficient staff. If you want to stay in the heart of Bourbon Street this hotel is it. Upgrade to Balcony suite for a perfect stay. Everything was great.
i stayed here with a group of 9 women. This hotel was in the very best location to walk everywhere that we wanted to go in the French Quarter. It was a really great price and i would definitely stay there again, group or individually. Having traveled to NOLA many times and stayed at many similar hotels, this was the easiest, cleanest, and best value by far.

Beautiful hotel very comfortable I have two $50 charges on my credit card upon arrival that were poorly explained and I was told they would be refunded by now but they have not been. It feels like the hotel is charging me the difference between the hotels.com price I paid and the walk in price.
When we travel to New Orleans, we stay at the Westin. It is a great location. We can walk to whatever we want to do or take the trolley. That we couldn't stay longer this time.

The Westin is located on the riverfront, about a four or five block walk from the heart of the French Quarter. We loved the extra walk back and forth to meet friends given all the food indulges in NOLA. Staff was fabulous.

Very poor insulation between rooms. We had to move from our first room, as it sounded like our neighbors were inside our room. In our second room we backed into the elevators and heard that constantly, but it was better than loud voices.
Overall the hotel is clean and the service is what you would expect. Food offering was very mediocre or non-existent. I have never seen a 50-story hotel that did not have a dinner restaurant. At the end Of the day there is only the food in the bar....no menu except the bar menu which is very limited. The 2d floor dining for lunch and breakfast was only mediocre.

Could have used a room freshener. The bathroom is a bit small. We kept hitting the wall with the door each time we opened it.
The location I didn't like the fact I had to change rooms at midnight due to there being a MOUSE in my room. I was told I'd have a $100 credit to my room and that someone would assist me in moving. Whoever came up just handed us a key to the new room and left. I wasn't assisted with a cart to move. The new room was 12 floors higher but way more spacious. I was content until the next morning I went to shower and there was pubic hair or something slapped across the back of the shower meaning no one bothered to clean the shower....it probably could have been easily removed with a wipe of a cloth but apparently that was too much effort. As I checked out I mentioned my $100 credit which I now learned went back to the hotel. The fact that it was $100 to spend within the hotel was not communicated to me and in my opinion I thought I was going to be refunded $100 from room cost. I was very unhappy with that. How would I know to use the credit before check out and when would I use it between the time I had to transfer all my stuff to another room with no help,sleep,get ready and overcome being disgusted by the shower,and checkout by noon. I would like a refund for my stay. The manager supposedly is communicating with this company since this was a third party ordeal.
Room was excellent and very comfortable view was spectacular I was ticked right off at the $48 parking charge. I likely won't be back. I would rather this information be included right up front when booking.
Got to the front desk to check in and they told me they never received my booking info but my payment was paid in full then they told me all rooms were filled so I had to find another hotel near by but it wasn't to the quality which took 5 hours to process and wasn't compensated anything for their mishap so I will never use the Ahoma.com service again

The hotel is in a great location and the lobby is nice The hotel was overbooked the first night. They told us upon check in that our room would be ready in about 20 mins as it was being cleaned. It wasn't ready until midnight. The room we had reserved was a double room, they ended up giving us a king room that had been smoked in by the prior guests (there were still ashes in the bathtub). We asked if they could send up a cot - which never arrived. Luckily the second night they switched our rooms. Overall we were pretty disappointed.
They gave us a King rm instead of a double that we booked , we had 3kids with us. No double rms available so they upgraded us to a suite and gave us roll aways for the kids. Room was gorgeous,49th floor with wall of windows (amazing view of city and river) plus gave us a $100 in house credit. Totally made up for their mistake. Hotel and location was great. Have stayed at this location numerous times but have never had such a small cramped room. AC could not keep up wife was hot and uncomfortable both nights. Called maintenance first day of stay and he said it was working ok. Could not enter the hotel without being accosted by losers trying to get you to come into their strip clubs which surround the hotel.
I enjoyed the location, clean rooms, pool, staff, bed, nature sounds from radio, and smell. Noisy at night due to burbon st, but that was expected. Nature sounds come in handy.
The salt water pool was nice. I really wanted a balcony room and they didn't even asked me if I want one. The water didn't even get hot shower

Great location. Close to restaurants and nightlife. Fabulous Staff. Try Restaurant R'evolution, it was a fabulous experience. Currently the hotel is renovating. Our room was near the construction area, so it made the visit less than optimal and not our normal Sonesta experience. I look forward to a future visit once the renovations are completed.

Monteleone is marvelous and I will come again. My only criticisms are 1. It is not fully handicap accessible 2. The bathrooms are nice but small and dated, no walk in showers 3. Bedrooms are small by modern standards (limited to 2 to a room comfortably. Restaurant, entertainment, bars, service par excellence, cleanliness, doormen extraordinarily helpful( (we needed extra assistance and always received what we needed and more)
Great location in heart of French quarter! Friendly staff, super clean and awesome rooftop pool with bar! Hotel restless awesome and we received voucher for complimentary bottle of wine! Sent my clothes out for laundry and was told it would be a one day turn around. After 3 days still no laundry and I had to call twice to finally get it back. Also our last night we needed to actually get some sleep as we had a 630am flight home. Unfortunately the guests next to us were so loud we didn't get more than an hour of sleep. I called front desk twice and finally after security made their second attempt to get these rude guests to quite down the lowered their voices slightly.
Excellent service. Doormen were friendly and engaging; they greeted my two young children with our every entrance/exit and asked them about the activities in between, made some fun suggestions for meals and places of interest to visit- really added to the experience for each of the kids. Small rooms, but comfortable, good noise control - was not disturbed despite business of lobby and hallways. Beautiful foyer and delicious menu at Criollo, the restaurant downstairs. Will certainly return to this hotel for its service, comfort, attractiveness and convenient location. Spa staff were not at the desk on more than one occasion, were haughty and were generally unfriendly during booking of appointments. Stark contrast to the rest of the hotel. Services provided were acceptable. Would NOT be likely to return to spa based on the unpleasantness of interacting with them.

The hotel and staff are beautiful and amazing. But when we got to our room it was fairly warm. We called down to the concierge and asked that someone come look into the issue. We left for the afternoon and when we returned there was a note sarying someone had come to fix the problem. Two additional requests later and it was still around 80 in our room. Staff didn't even call to see if we were satisfied (after 3 requests). Difficult to sleep and not enjoyable. See above.
Friendly doormen, bellman, front desk. Love the gracious old hotel. Criollo's Restaurant had excellent food and service. One could not ask for a better location as a base of operations for leisurely tour of French Quarter. While I don't think most rooms fit this category, we happened to get a very small room with window looking across a dark alley. Room could not have been more than 12' square, with king and furniture closet, one could not help but feel a bit claustrophobic. Be sure to ask for room with street facing widows. Housekeeping kept forgetting essentials - like TP. Had to call to request and then wait 15 min for delivery. Otherwise, excellent experience.
The pool was a welcoming retreat after a day of touring the city. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. I would have liked to be a part of the carousel bar, never any seating available. The view was not to my liking, and the bathrooms were small.
The location is right in the heart of the French Quarter just a block off Bourbon Street and on the classier Royal Street. The décor is beautiful. The rooms are small but nicely decorated. The drapes were incredible. The cafe are the hotel was very good for breakfast with beignets as good, if not better than Cafe du Monde without the crowds. The walls were fairly thin so you could hear your neighbors. Also, nearly got high from the marijuana fumes seeing through the air system.
Location was great, room was nice and hotel was beautiful. They didn't tell us in advance we wouldn't have a window in our room. Also the bathroom was pretty small. There is just not much room to set anything down.

The location is excellent I thought the hotel looked a bit run down,not a 5 star hotel.. I did not like the fact that there was no complimentary coffee or news papers The coffee was available in the gift shop for $3.00+ / cup. Not acceptable for a supposed top flight hotel, Forget trying to get a seat at the famous Carousel bar, but it was the first weekend of Jazz Fest.

The location is very convenient -- on Canal right between the French Quarter and the CBD. The rooms and facilities are very comfortable and well appointed. There was nothing lacking. What really separates this hotel, though, is the staff. From the front desk people, to the people on the door, to housekeeping, to the valets, everyone was amazingly friendly and helpful. A very positive attitude permeates this hotel. I certainly would stay again. The only negative aspects were that the hotel's front (on Canal) is undergoing a major renovation which makes it hard to find the hotel from Canal and, sort of related to this, the actual front desk/check in area is not on Canal at all. It's on Common. I understand the hotel wanting a Canal address, but it does make it confusing to find the check-in area.

The bell hops were nice and that's about all I can say nice about the place. When we got there they couldn't find our reservation. They put us in a tiny room. (We paid extra for a corner executive king.) After 4 hours the room was still at 80 degrees. We were moved to a corner executive king (what we should had have from the beginning.) We called down to the front desk for a bottle opener waited 2 hours they never brought it up. The pool was dirty and disgusting. They claim its a 4 star hotel but we will never stay here again. We should have gone to the double tree.
Location was great and felt very safe. Room were the right size and they were lovely and moved us up to a top floor because it was my daughter's first trip to NOLA Pipes broke the last night and our room had wet carpet; they moved us once I reported it
I liked the room and where the hotel was located I paid too much and was constantly dealing with hassles like slow elevators, stupid rules, staff that lied about a room being available. We paid $310 for a room and $42 to park and couldn't get free Wifi, really? The Valets were rude and they basically forced me to use baggage handlers.
Great location and staff. The valet parking crew was very professional and courteous. Olga at the bar was a pleasure to talk too. I liked the modern decor as well. I would recommend this hotel most of the time. Walls are thin--I could hear people talking on both sides of my room. I imagine it has something to do with being an old building. Fortunately it didn't last long, however, if you are there for any kind of festival where there will be a lot of late night partying (it's near Bourbon street so this may happen quite a bit), I'd recommend being one of them instead and not assuming a good night sleep.

We stayed for 3 nights. We were able to walk out the door and be right in the French Quarter. We were traveling with a small child and everyone was very accommodating. they were able to put us in an area removed from most of the rooms, so we didn't have to worry about the baby disturbing other patrons. Restaurant on sight was perfect for a quick breakfast and facility was very clean. Rooms are good size and we had a great view of Canal St. Canal St. side of hotel is very noisy at night.

Loved all the staff! We had a room with a great balcony and we really enjoyed the restaurants/lounge in the hotel. Honestly we were satisfied completely.

Location was perfect! A short walk to everything, but not so close that there was street noise. I also enjoyed the exposed brick walls, and my corner/wrap-around room was very spacious and full of natural light!! A/C worked great, and the number of towels provided was more than sufficient. Pillows were flat and needed more stuffing in them. The sheets were a bit rough/scratchy.
The staff was very friendly. Valet parking was fast and very nice. They held our luggage after checkout so we could go to the Saints game which was fantastic. Price we paid for a single King Size bed was sort of outrageous
Breakfast was fine, close to the sites Charged me $150 for deposit and still haven't gotten it back.
I like the fact that the hotel staff especially the Front Desk Manager Tashena Johnson helped me out when my credit card was compromised. She did the best she could to make my stay as comfortable as it should have been. The location was great. Not to far from everything attended. I didn't like the way my reservation was not in the system when I arrived and I didn't like the 1:00am phone call asking for authorization...
Everyone on the staff was so friendly and sincere about it. They were always will yo help us figure out things to do and where to go. This will not b our last trip to this great hotel! And the ladies who did breakfast were great! Nothing! It was a great week. It is just a well worn place.
I like the fact that it was close to where I wanted to go easy to get around town. The only problem is that someone did call in the middle of the night trying to poach my credit card but they told me about that upon my arival. They've been having problems with someone messing with their customers.
We had a wonderful stay. The staff were all friendly and helpful, especially John, the Valet. The room was great, and the location of the hotel was too. We will be back! Nothing, except we didn't get to stay longer
Very nice hotel! We had a beautiful corner room with a good amount of space and two comfortable double beds. Breakfast was basic, but great, and the staff was very nice. Clean and a great location! I only have one complaint -- I was frustrated that our towels were changed everyday, even if we hung them up. But otherwise, everything was great!

Malcolm worked at the front. He was extremely sweet and helpful, giving great recommendations on where to go and what to do. He was always very happy and looked like he loved his job, which most people dont look like.
Great location and staff was wonderful! They picked us out a room on the 8th floor with a beautiful view of Canal Street and the Mississippi River. Will book again on our next trip back to New Orleans.
Free hot breakfast, rooms were clean, on main streets so no walking on sketchy back roads late at night, bed was comfortable and pillows weren't those expensive fluffy pillows that are good for nothing, water pressure was great, shower was nice, staff was friendly, a/c worked great. No cons...
The gentlemen who ran the kitchen and bar were the nicest men I've ever met! They are family now especially mr. Don The short, Hispanic woman at the desk had an attitude.
Once we complained about the room we were upgraded to a beautiful room. The one we were expecting. Had to complain to get a room that was even tolerable. Would have liked to get a nice room from the start rather than feeling like we had to complain to have a good experience on vacation.

The staff was incredibly lovely! They were super helpful with events going on in the Quarter, and the hotel itself is a perfect location! We had amazingly comfy king bed with a gorgeous shared balcony off the back. I loved that among the bathroom amenities that they included a makeup remover toilet! That was truly a life saver after a long night of great music and libations in the neighborhood. We will definitely stay here again when we're back in NoLa! The bathroom was a touch out dated for those that mind, but we certainly didn't! :)
We came for our honeymoon and was pleasently surprised that our suite was so big and equiped with a full kitchen. It's where Paul McCartney stayed for an added bonus. The staff were very nice and accommodating. We arrived early due to having to take an early flight and had to check in early yet our room wasn't ready. The manager gave us some drink coupons to use at the bar due to having to wait. That was very nice considering we were checking in prior to the actual check-in time. I felt for a suite of that magnitude it woyld have been nice if they had an in-room coffee maker.
i've been coming to the Richelieu for years, and it's still my favorite hotel in New Orleans. All that New Orleans is: classic, faded, fun, vibey, and somewhat inexplicable :)
The location, while not in the heart of the French quarter like many other options, was very close to the great live music on Frenchman street. The staff was very nice and helpful. The property is extremely old. While I didn't mind that necessarily, the beds were very uncomfortable and the carpet looked like if could use a cleaning.

We liked everything, and everyone was nice except for one guy on staff at the counter on the morning of tuesday July 11th. On the morning of Tuesday July 11th we stopped by the counter and asked the guy there, didn't know his name but he was maybe in his late 20's or early 30's. we had asked him about some directions on your area map that you guys hand out, we pointed out what looked like a street and asked him what was the name of the street and instead of politely saying this is not a street, his remark was, no it's not a street, why would it be a street, we thought that was rude, we wanted to say something but didn't, everyone else was very nice, Thank You, Edward Lanzarin
I wanted an authentic New Orleans French market experience and that's exactly what I got at the French market inn. Everything was perfect. It was historical, right across the street from the Riverwalk, two blocks down from Bourbon Street, Clean, safe, right across the street from Cafe Du Monde. We decided that we would stay here every time we came to New Orleans. It was nothing that I didn't like. I'm used to stay and four star hotels so I had to adjust to the boutique feel of the room, but I bet it was comfortable and the atmosphere was authentic and great.
For the price, the inn provides access to the French Quarter, into which I went for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and nightlife. The staff is helpful, knowledgeable about the area, and eager to help. The room and inn have that French Quarter feel (e.g., courtyard, exposed brick, tall windows). The room was comfortable except for one point. The shower was glass, not a curtain, and was nice for such an inexpensive room. My friends who stayed at the same conference were jealous that I was staying in classier accommodations than they for the same or less! My room on the first floor had no weather strip on the bottom of the door and suffered a draft. Once plugged with a spare blanket, however, the room was cozy. Also, the electrical cords for the television were rather lazily slung over the TV itself. It looked shabby.

The location was absolutely perfect: within a few short blocks to all the fun. But the location also provided much needed quiet at night. The facilities were clean and absolutely beautiful. I will absolutely stay here again and will tell everyone about this gem!
We were super close to Bourbon St but never heard it- which was great! We had an interior room with no windows which I was a little apprehensive about booking at first but it proved to be the best idea ever! After getting in to town early in the morning and wandering around a lot, it was great to ha e a quiet, dark room for an afternoon nap. New Orleans is always busy and there are always people out on the streets at all hours- I highly recommend the windowless rooms for peace and quiet when it's time to get away:)
I really enjoyed my stay. I appreciated the historic feel of the room with brick walls. I was skeptical at first about renting a room with no windows, but it exceeded my expectations and wasn't as sketchy as imagined. There were plenty of lamps to substitute the natural lighting. The staff was very friendly. They greeted everyone who passed through the lobby with a smile and were helpful with suggesting local places to eat. Great location for the french quarter experience. I felt as if the carpet in my room had not been cleaned or vacuumed before my stay. There was obvious staining and debris visible. I am glad I brought slippers. It seems as if the cleaning of the rooms could be more detailed as there were trash under/behind the dresser and side table.

The hotel was amazing. I went through Kayak and found this hotel with great reviews and $100 under our budget! When we walked in, the lobby was cute, perfectly decorated, and had the New Orleans feel we were looking for *cough*we're tourist*cough*. We were greeted by Lonny the bellman, who wouldn't let us lift a finger with our bags. He even gave us some free wine vouchers for a near by café. Check in was standard with no wait time and a friendly front desk staff. There is a small pool and patio area if you wanted to take a quick dip (by small pool, it is incredibly small, but still nice to have as an option). This hotel is cute, clean, and has the New Orleans experience with just a quick walk to Bourbon St, Café Du Monde, amazing shops in the French Quarter. Since we were driving from across country, we had an entire SUV packed with professional camera equipment, expensive camping gear, and pretty healthy supply of clothes etc. We were concerned about street parking and were told that if we valet our car with the hotel, it would be in a garage, 24 hour surveillance, and returned to us in the exact same condition we left it in. We thought "it's only $15 more than parking across the street, and we will have piece of mind" so we went with the valet. We remove our luggage for the night, brought in the camera gear (thank god) and carried on with our New Orleans experience as they drove our car off to the garage. Being a typical girl, I realized I left something in the car and asked the front desk if I could either walk to the car or have it brought around. She gave me quick directions and I headed to the parking garage. When I approached the booth in the garage, the gentlemen working pointed to the pay lot across the street, and handed me the keys. I was confused because it was just a $20 over night pay lot that we could have easily used instead of paying $15 more for the "garage" we were told our car would be in. I grabbed my items, double checked all the doors were locked, and took the keys back to the employees in the booth. When I got back to the hotel, I told my boyfriend about the differences in what we were told we were getting and what we actually got as far as parking went. We both agreed that there must be some reason for it and that the garage was full or they would move the car at some point. 8AM: Our hotel phone rings. The supervisor of the parking garage was calling to let us know he was ready to take our car to the shop to have the windows replaced. You can imagine our confusion, seeing as we had gone to bed late and had partaken in what New Orleans had to offer, IE we were hung over and had no idea what was going on. We get dressed and head down to meet with the garage supervisor who informed us that between 3-5am the driver's and passenger side windows had been broken and it looked like items were removed from the car. We head over and look over everything. Sure enough, it was in the same spot it had been the night before, sans two windows. It only looked like some center console change and our GPS had been taken(which was in a locked glove box). The parking garage paid for everything to be replaced that had been taken, and replaced the windows. Our plan was to leave at 12pm after some beignets from Café Du Monde, but ended up having to stay until 6pm waiting for the car to be fixed. Of course our room and valet charges were comped, and the staff acted accordingly, it was just an unfortunate situation that could have been avoided if the front desk had the real information regarding where their guests' vehicles were actually parked. Take what you will from this. Be it, sh*t happens and you move on, or it was a nice stay, something bad happened, and the hotel did the best they could.

The hotel is right at the base of the French Quarter. If you plan to stay in the Quarter, this is a great option. Noise and parking. During a busy time, self park will be almost impossible. We valeted in order to avoid searching for a space.
