Cons: "The gate attendant asked if I would be willing to move to a different aisle seat to allow a family to stay together. She told me it was the same seat, saying "aisle for an aisle." It wasn't--it was the worst seat in the house--last row, next to the toilet, smelled the entire flight, with no possibility to recline. I had booked my seat months in advance, so a concession offer, such as a food/drink voucher, or a seat in econ plus, would have been the right thing to do. Instead I felt like a tool. Makes me wary of doing something nice for the airline in the future. No plugs in regular economy class makes it hard to use the United app for entertainment. Also, kept getting bumped off the wifi app."
Cons: "Flight was cancelled on our way back home from Gudalajara, was speaking to a representative for almost 2 hours to get me on the next flight the flight representative forgot to put me on hold and told everyone how rude i was, i was not rude i was just trying to get home. The representative couldn’t help me so i asked to be transferred to a manager, after 2 hours i was transferred and the manager hung the phone up. Long story short i called back spoke to another manager Yana and she was the rudest lady ever! She basically told me for waiting to long i will have to be placed on a flight 2 days after my cancellation flight. I started to cry because i needed to be home and she basically did not care so i took the date. Never again and i will warn everyone about this airline and their customer service!"

She used a discriminating tone and embarrassed me in front of other people. She made it sound as if it were a shame to purchase a cheap ticket. She was arguing with another passenger before helping me over the same subject, so when I tried to explain that the smallest backpack was almost empty and fit inside the other, she was impatient, upset ignored me and was already demanding my credit card with the bag tag in her hand rushing me. I paid extra $60.00 after I had paid $25,00 for the first bag when I could have put the flexible kipling inside the Jansport if she had listened to me. The flight delayed after I was unable to defend myself and paid an unfair feer."
Pros: "The crew was excellent - courteous/aware/friendly. The flight, although 2 hours delayed (9;20pm scheduled departure) was pleasant and smooth. Also, the de-boarding process was surprisingly quick."
Cons: "A 2 hour delay at 9:20pm at night is unfortunate yet frustrating experience, especially when we moved our flight up due to a travel warning for EWR (ironically enough, our originally scheduled flight (1922 MCO-EWR). I'm giving an overall OK (instead of good) due to the fact that there were no snacks (although I did not want anything, it didn't go unnoticed) and although there was free inflight entertainment for personal devices, I feel the passengers should have been given free internet access - in my opinion, it would have been the appropriate thing to do. In any case, this experience doesn't change my positive opinion of United."

Cons: "After spending $3000 on two first class tickets- my fiance was sent to urgent care and we were unable to make our flight on time. Customer service told us that they were unable to re-book us without a fee and even then they couldn't honor the tickets until 3 days later. This was frustrating given that there were numerous first class tickets available on various third party sites and united.com that would have been able to get us there the next day. Long story short I spent another $2300 to book a new flight with delta and I will never use United ever again."

Being charged for a basic beverage or snack also seems "chintzy" when you've already charged me for my flight + my seat + all baggage."

The flight was scheduled to leave at 7:30 PM and was delayed until 10:52 PM departure. That was awful as we got into our bags at 1:45 AM. Seats don’t recline so it was uncomfortable as well."

When my family boarded the airplane, we went to find out that the row we were booked into seats (31) did not exist on this plane. The rows went to 30. My parents and aunt who are elderly had to wait standing at the back of the plane until the stewards found us new seats. Before we boarded the airline they announced that they were overbooked and were asking for people to voluntarily give up their seats. When we boarded the plane, there were about 8 stewards in training on the flight. If the airline had oversold seats on this flight, why were those training not held back for the next flight instead of making their customers wait?"

Poor communication at the boarding gate. When we landed in Detroit we had to sit in the plane for 20 minutes for a gate to open. Pilot said this would take 5 minutes. the whole experience with Spirit Airlines was a disaster. i plan to look elsewhere in future flights."

When you get to the counter you HAVE TO PAY EXTRA for your carryon ($55) and your checked bag ($50). That’s an extra $100 that could have been used to purchase a flat rate flight through Kayak. • You can only pay with a card, you can barely use cash Flight • Seating was too tight, no room to stretch out • Snacks even the minimum was expensive. $4 for a 4 oz of juice with ice and more • When descending for landing the pilot circled around for a full hour- first we were over the incorrect airport then when we arrived at the correct airport there was too much air traffic to land right away. Between the surprise fees I did not budget for and the extra GS expenses, along with everything else, I will not ride Soirit Airlines again."
