Worst rental ever
Cons: Customer service and rules are aweful. I reserved a car with this company cuz it was cheaper and spent 20$ for taxi to get ther but wasn't able to pick it up because have been told that I have to have my own insurance even can't buy it from them therefore didn't get qualified even tho there was no mention of it on confirmation. How can I have insurance or what am I going to do with that if don't have a car, that's why I'm renting it. So I ended up paying triple price of what I suppose to pay with reservation.

I didn't get what I reserved
Pros: The sedan was brand new and clean.
Cons: I reserved a mid size SUV and when I went to pickup they said that they cannot give me the SUV because I am a local resident living around the airport. They would only offer me upto a full size car or a minivan. I was helpless.

Pick up problem
Cons: My incoming flight was 6 hours late so I called ahead to tell the location I wouldn't be there until about 1am the next day instead of the scheduled 7pm. The agent at the 800 number said they would put a note of this on the reservation so there would not be a problem. Upon arrival the desk agent told me my reservation was expired, and acted like she wouldn't give me a car. I explain the plane delay and that I had called ahead just to preclude this problem. She acted like, well too bad, it is expired. Luckily another agent came by and showed her the note about being late, and almost reluctantly she gave me what she said was the last car available (Hey, not really my issue how many cars you have available, as long as you have one for my reservation.) She was certainly not customer focused at all. Hey, I didn't want to be there at 1am either, but she is being paid to be there and deal with customer's needs.

Over the top Customer Service
Pros: I think I must have just picked the right night to stroll into ARC, but the two staffers on were beyond nice to me. They upgraded me, took pity on our shivering Hawaiian souls and started the car for us and brought it around, and recognized me at drop-off and were all smiles. It turned into a "people are good wherever you go" learning experience for my daughters, who were braced for some NJ unfriendliness. 6 stars for representin' my home state with class.
Cons: The drop off site was hard to find with some sketchy signage.
