Terrible Service from Budget

Pros: Iwas eaitingbfirvthete shuttle ehicj tske too long to pick you up. It wad very vlosef to miis my flight i took my taxi on my own and pay the taxi to go to sir port on ti.e thete is no coperation from budget car

Pros: The staff was nice. The location is very convenient.
Cons: The inspection was done in the dark so I didn't notice some major damage on the car until I was driving. Thankfully I wasn't impacted by this but it was disturbing. The pick up location has no where to sit and wait. It took so long for me to get checked in and get the car although it wasn't the busy that morning. I'm pregnant and could have really used a seat - I had to lean against the wall.

Poorly marked and no service
Cons: The customer is asked to drive the car down five levels to an unattended area in a underground garage. There is tiny sign (not visable from the car) giving vague instruction of what to do. We just happened to bump into an attendant as we were trying to find our way back up to the desk. Snarky cashier then mentions that I'm a little late (well within a 24 hour period) returning the car. NEVER AGAIN. They are not competitive in price and it's one of the WORST RENTAL SERVICES I HAVE ENCOUNTERED ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD.

Pickup and drop off was terrible
Pros: Car was fine
Cons: The budget location I used was awful. Will likely never use budget again because of it. Plan on messaging corporate.

Pros: Staff was friendly and the pick-up/return process was easy and convenient.
Cons: The car was extremely dirty and sticky. The seats were stained and the interior clearly hadn't been cleaned in quite some time.

Cons: The staff at the budget location I picked the car up from were very rude when I dropped off the car. I had to go three floors down in the return garage then come up to return the key. When I got upstairs the employee at the counter said where is the parking slip and why haven't you filled out the mileage and gas reading. I said that isn't my job it's yours and he said I would get charged 48$ for the parking slip if I didn't go down to get it from the car. Very unprofessional and probably won't use budget again.

Poor service for the price
Pros: Car was comfortable
Cons: * It was a 30 minute wait to get my car when I walked in the office. For someone who was trying to get out of town on a Friday, that 30 minute wait added precious time to my Friday travel time. * The front office was not air conditioned leaving everyone in it a sweaty mess. * I asked if a EZPass would be included with the car and was told "maybe but maybe not". Turned out there wasn't one. I paid the price for that as I waited for 20 minutes at a toll booth on Sunday to pay cash for a toll. * When I returned the car, there were 5 employees organizing the fleet at the return area, but none of them were able to help me. All of them were searching the other cars for an EZPass. I waited alongside my car for 5-10 minutes until one of them came over to help. * No one at the return area had a pen to take down the mileage of my car. Instead, they asked me to take a picture of the dashboard with my phone and bring that up to the front desk as proof of the mileage. The car itself was nice and comfortable. Both the customer service both picking up and dropping off the car left a lot to be desired, especially for the price that I paid.

Poor customer service
Pros: The car itself was great, very clean, comfortable, and new.
Cons: The service was appalling. I went to the Budget at 333 Adams St in Brooklyn, and there was one guy in training helping about 5 customers. He was distracted with the phones and fax, so it took ages to get the car. Then, knowing I was stuck in traffic and wouldn't be able to return the car on time, I tried calling to extend my rental and got automated messages throughout, no real person, no ability to ask the cost of extending a rental. When I finally got through to a receptionist she was unhelpful in providing me with alternatives, and I ended up getting charged for an entire additional day because I had to return the car an hour after the location closed due to traffic. Very disappointing experience overall.

Unfriendly desk staff
Pros: Car was clean, ran well
Cons: The staff at this location when I picked up the car was super uncommunicative and unfriendly. Didn't explain charges. Also if you don't refill the car all the way, it's $10 per gallon for them to refill it, which is highway robbery

Cons: i did not rent any car there that day. i reserved a compact car, but when i arrived, the maneger said they do NOT have cars except a Ford explore. and there were three families waiting cars there. they treated customers and messed our plan.

Cons: Went to pick up van i rented on line for one way trip bringing household items to new home in Florida. arranged on-line for a panel van reservation made no problem. arrived to pick up van and only passanger vans avail, rude obnaxious stall told me they dont rent panel vans for one way and told to walk to another location in brooklyn or manhattan.they would NOT call other locations ,aid they didnt have a phone to call "outside" no one offered to use their phone. asked them to check "online" for me and they said they dont have internet access. i asked for manager.no manager and no call as promised. I wil NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER USE THEM AGAIN . i AM TELLING EVERYONE TO AVOID THEM

Pros: The car was very nice.
Cons: We arrived at 11:15 am to pick up my rental, which was booked for noon. Without saying anything, the representative printed out the contract for me to sign, which showed $392 as the price. The price I booked was $215 for a 24-hour rental. I asked why it was so much, and she said "You're early, so you went over the 24 hours." This is ridiculous, as I hadn't done anything yet. I said I would have happily waited until noon--just 45 minutes--to take the car had she notified me that it would cost an additional $150 for an extra hour of the rental. She actually didn't speak at all while she was processing the rental. We just stood there waiting for her to tell us what to do. Terrible customer service. She did, finally, tell us that if we arrived the following day by 11:16 am then we would not be charged. We arrived at 10:30 to be safe, and were assured that we would not incur additional hourly charges.

Waited 40 minutes for car
Pros: Drop off was painless
Cons: I waited 40 minutes for my car, despite the fact that I had an appointment. One person in line in front of me took 10 minutes - no problem. Then another half hour with no explanation. Repeated requests for the car had no effect. I'll never use Budget again.

Cons: There were no cars when I went to pick my car up and there was no timeline as to when cars would be made available-- despite having made a reservation in advance. The woman at the desk was unhelpful and I ended up waiting for two hours past my reservation time for a car.

Cheated me on gas.
Pros: Not much. Rate was cheap, especially for a one way rental but I figure I was doing them a favor getting the car from city center to the airport.
Cons: Reserved a compact and got a Ford Mustang. Not small and yet not easy to get two suitcases into. And the car rides incredibly rough. And I drove it 25 miles but had to put 3 gallons of gas into it to fill it before return. Either tank was not full when I picked it up or the car gets 8 mpg.
