When we went to pick up the car at the original booking location , they didn’t have any cars , after spending 2 hours on the phone we had to drive to the airport to pick up the car , wasting 3 hours and paying extra on airport taxes .

The reservation price for the minivan was $732.32 which we prepaid in August. When we picked up the van, the printer was broken, so they said they would email the contract to me which they never did. Then, after we returned the car, Hertz charged an additional $1,962.80 to our credit card which we never authorized. This was totally unexpected and Hertz could not explain it to me.

Cons:

they charged for an extra driver even though the other driver was my licensed spouse. the staff was wonderful but the company is willing to nickel and dime to death.

They have absolutely no instructions at Houston Airport (AIH) nor an email on how to drop-off the car for after hours drop-off. So tricky and confusing.
