They gave me a bad car to begin with. The car already had an Oil change required warning sign. The car had an empty red bull can. When I complained the same to the Hertz customer operations manager at Salt Lake City, he was least interested in listening to what I was saying and was very adamant in accepting the fault. When I said the vipers were making a screeching sound and the viper auto mode was not working and I had to manually move it up and down, he said that Hertz does not guarantee the working of auto vipers and some cars don't even have that feature. I am renting cars since ages and never felt experienced such a terrible customer service. Never choosing Hertz again in my life.Reviewed Jul 5 2026

You said they were renting me a Tesla. They never had or will have a Tesla at that location for rental. They provided me the least expensive car they had after waiting for a return. Bait and Switch. Staff ignored me, was unhelpful and I ultimately had to rent a car through another agency because the “Couldn’t help me.” They were unwilling to change my reservation and unwilling to give me a refund for a reservation for a rental car that was accidentally placed a week later. Excellent service. Would not recommend renting EVs in general unless you have a dedicated place to charge. If you’re renting a vehicle for vacation I’d strongly recommend using a gas powered vehicle. Service at Hertz was amazing!Reviewed Oct 22 2024

We booked a Nisson Rogue and the only choice we were given was a Dodge Durango. The rental consume much more fuel then the Nisson and we did not need the room of the Dodge. We opted to go directly to the car and bypass the counter as there was a long line at Hertz.
