Pros: Pretty simple drop off/pickup procedures
Cons: Was quoted a price of 14 dollars a day. After thrifty was done with their fees I ended up paying roughly 60 bucks a day for the car. I understand some fees/tax, but that's alittle but absurd

Cons: all the additional charges that were never discussed such as toll for 4.99 per day and other surprise charges.

Excelent for same day pick up reservation
Pros: Very fast online reservation. Got there and less than 10 minutes i was out with the car. Everytime I called for anything they were very nice and helpful.

Cons: After miscommunication between their hotline and main office about where and when to drop off my car, the customer service representative proceeded to yell at me and then hang up the phone, leaving me stranded in the middle of San Juan at midnight unsure how to return my car (which was very easy in the end, he just didn't know that I could return it late, which the local office had confirmed earlier that day)

Dings, Scratches, and Filth
Pros: Nothing good about this experience
Cons: The car was scratched, dinged, and the interior riddled with stains on the seats. Agents lie to customers to upsell insurance and toll pass. A $130 rental ended up at $218. Stay away.

Pros: Clean car
Cons: I made reservations for a ford explorer or similar and when I got there they told me they don't have that type of truck and I was given a midsize car.

Pros: Dropped off earlier then expected with no issue
Cons: They reminded me 10 times in ponce thrifty has 2 addresses in San Juan and it was not the one at airport. Luckily I was early for flight because we drove between them twice getting told otherwise

Long Lines But it was Spring Break
Pros: Despite the other rude customers in Line, the rental agents were completely professional at all times and upgraded us into a Premier car because of us having to wait in line. The vehicle was a 2017 that looked like it was just driven off a dealers lot! I will definitely use Thrifty Rental in San Juan airport again.

2 locations different areas, same address
Pros: PIckup was easy and expedited once I found the place. Wildcard card turned out to be a perfect fit for the area and at the right price! Staff was understanding and helpful.
Cons: Pickup off site and drop off at the airport. Confusing! Also when stating pickup time, we were not informed that the location would already be closed and we would have to pay the overpriced taxi fees to get to our apt and then get Uber in the am to pick the car up.

Pros: Puerto Rico is beautiful and once my Thrifty car pickup interactions were over, everyone I met on the island was lovely.
Cons: No more not-so-Thrifty rentals for me. Obnoxious, disinterested staff in San Juan airport - and . Thrifty would be better served by having a kiosk. I was told that the (not extravagant) car in the listing I chose was not in the class of cars I paid for and would cost more. The insurance I purchased online with the rental - it turns out - is completely separate from Thrifty, meaning I'd have to pay Thrifty for any issues/accidents and then try to make a case for reimbursement with the elusive ins. company. And to be reasonably covered I had to buy yet more insurance. Thrifty told a fellow customer at the counter, who was returning a car with a less than full tank, that she would be charged for an amount of gasoline that was significantly greater than the actual capacity of the gas tank. The rep was 100 percent indifferent

Great new rental car
Pros: I liked how fast they were able to get me and my family out the door for our vacation. Easy, friendly and helpful. The car was waiting, doors were open and a tank full of gas.
Cons: I didn't like that the car size I wanted was not available. Our luggage was jammed in trunk and extra seat next to the baby's car seat. I was uncomfortable in a small Kia car and wanted a larger car but the have very limited inventory.

Cheap rental, poor service
Pros: The car was just fine, and it was decently cheap ($90 for 2 days, including a toll pass).
Cons: Despite scheduling our car pick-up for 6 a.m. at the airport (when our flight landed), and there being no line at the rental counter, we were stuck waiting over an hour for our car to be ready. Their excuse? "We open at 6, so we need time to bring the cars over from our other lot." Ok... except they *knew* that we were coming at six, so our rental car should have either already been there, or been the first one they brought over. We knew their service would be questionable based on Yelp reviews, so I expected a little bit of a wait, but an hour+ when we had a reservation is pretty bad.

Worst experience ever
Cons: Longest wait times, line didn't move for periods of time, finally got to front and no cars available despite my reservation so had to wait even more

Tons of hidden fees.
Pros: Car was clean and worked. Person at the desk was friendly enough.
Cons: The price quoted on kayak was about $90. Not bad for a week, right? Well when you add an additional $90 in fees, it's not a good deal. These fees were not additional insurance, but things like 'location fee' whateverthat means. So not worth it considering they also had the slowest and longest line at the SJU airport. The budget/Avis booth actually had decent staffing and their line moved much quicker. I will not be using thrifty anymore and maybe not even kayak for rental cars because the price you are quoted will be double.

Pros: Quick and easy. Only took about 15 minutes from the time we were at the counter to the time we were driving away.
Cons: The first car they offered us smelled like cigarette smoke. When we mentioned it they switched us cars in a matter of just a few minutes without any hassle.

Cons: The3 car I rented wasn't available and was given a van that had defects and cigarette odor, so I had to go back the next day to get another car.
