I was given the wrong address for pickup. not sure if this happened on kayaks end or u-saves. the contact information listed, specifically the phone number, was nonfunctional. i wasted hours and money taking a taxi to the listed address which did not service u-save. eventually I was able to contact u-save, and upon arrival was denied rental. I was told that my international driver's permit was invalid, despite previous cross-checks on all of the fine print available. The desk worker said they could not refund me and dismissed me. at which point i had to end up renting another car from the agency next door. this was a horrible experience in terms of time service and money.

final price was not what was listed online. went from $20 to $400 for a four days rental after the addition of car insurance, which was not mentioned prior to booking.

We were told whet to park the return and then we were told that the shuttle was picking us up about 1000 yards away and we had to move our 3 full size pcs of luggage ourselves work little assist over uneven pavement. We are both about 70 so it was a hardship. Since the plane was delayed my reservation was canceled. I do not know car models very well at all I'm 6 feet and the sales agent offered me a Nissan Sentra which I only later learned is a compact car My original reservation was for an intermediate size car. I think I had a really great price originally. I am fairly certain I did not get my original good deal. But I learned a valuable lesson. From now on only Enterprise.

Car windshield holes and scratch, wipers left water smeared in glass and all impeded vision. Sticking gas pedal, brakes grabbed, old 10+ years I think, no agent to talk to, only through TV screen, 2 lot men only spoke Spanish, forced to buy Insurance even though I have my own. Very difficult and sleazy.

U-Save does not reveal prior to booking the car, that they do not accept most major insurances like mine (Geico). Even with full coverage rental insurance, U-Save will only rent to you, if you pay the obnoxious daily insurance premium that they offer. U-Save also charges an unbearable deposit ($1500-$2000). I did not get the vehicle. I went to my hotel and rented from another company the next day.

We rented a car. Beyond that everything about the experience was extremely poor and almost felt like a scam. The pick up is off site, serviced by a shuttle. The check out took 90 minutes and the insurance issues were extensive. They clearly mark down the car cost and make it all up on insurance and then some. I even got the kayak insurance ahead hoping to manage cost. They refused to accept it. This all just feels dishonest. The car we ordered was a midsize SUV. We got a compact. The car worked fine. The check in process was disorganized and there was no parking. The shuttle was delayed. Overall I would do everything you can to stay away from this company. The price you see online is not the price you pay.

U-save means you save money but lose a lot of time, which was not worth it for us to start our trip. The cost for the car was very low with no unexpected fees, however the pickup process took an hour and a half to 2 hours. To get to the car rental, we took 2 separate shuttles which was expected. However, once we got to the U-Save building there was a long line of people and it took each person 20-30 minutes to leave the counter and receive their car. The agents that are at the counter kept having to leave to pull up each car individually and all the people/families waiting outside endorsed they also waited up to 2-2.5 hours to get their car AFTER the 1/2 hour it took to get to U-save from the airport in the first place. While the car was sufficient, I will not be using this car rental company again. The only highlight of this experience was the drop off was smooth despite the heavy rain, and our shuttle driver was able to take us all the way to the terminal rather than having to wait for the second shuttle to get back to the terminal.

I am very disappointed in kayak for supporting U-Save car rental that operates a scam near by FLL. This review is a warning to anyone who extended to rent from the company. They will scam you in daylight. Kayak needs to stop advertising low car rental rate on behalf of u-save….then for the renter to find out they need pay $600 at a rate $100 per day for insurance despite my full coverage Geico insurance. Please do use kayak
