Pros: Price was right
Cons: Self car condition check is tricky, car has a significant Dior dent and a few small but hard to notice in a parking garage, once drive off it may be your problem sińce car rental company is not telling you upfront where are the major issues

Pros: Good customer service and problem solving.
Cons: When we arrived at the rental center we were told they don’t have any cars available, even tho we paid in advance for rental.

Cons: The front desk representative at the airport was horrible. He did not explain anything and when I asked in detail what the charges are for he got impatient and kept sighing and started getting angry

Price/Vehicle good - Customer Service needs improvement
Pros: I liked the vehicle. It was extremely comfortable and held a large amount of luggage as promised. The vehicle was only semi-clean. There were pretzel crumbs on the floor and under the seats. Customer service at pick-up was very good, and we avoided long lines at other car rental stations.
Cons: The vehicle was only semi-clean. There were pretzel crumbs on the floor and under the seats. Drop off at the airport was another story. The attendant who greeted us was rude and demanding. There were no other cars needing his attention. The clerk at the kiosk was on the phone who left us unnoticed and waiting over 5 minutes while he was carrying a conversation on his cell phone, and then hr helped another customer who arrived after us.

Big smoky smell
Cons: The car had a strong smoking odor. We would have had to wait a while for another one so we just took it.

Pros: Fast drop off. Nice guys receive the car.
Cons: The guy approach on desk, pick up car without light and brightness so you cannot see the car outside. Car coming wet so you cannot see the surface. For a stranger, maybe teach people a small English instead Spanish.

Rented a Corolla got a minivan
Pros: The minivan itself was fine
Cons: I was by myself and I didn't want to be in such a big vehicle and waste money in gas burn unnecessary amounts of gas

Horror and abuse at the car rental
Pros: Facility was very nice.
Cons: The staff at the counter for advantage were horrible. I was asked by the clerk for my license and credit card then he asked me for my insurance info,no problem I quickly looked up my geico electronic card. He said that the card wasn't good enough . He needed the declaration page.. I called my wife and I called geico. Geico explained that in the state of Florida the comprehensive collision are not required to be marked by law. Regardless I have comp and collision I own two new cars.i passed the pho ne to the clerk and he said after speaking to the agent I'm not allowed to take info over the phone.there was a fax copy machine behind him.. my wife called me and asked for their info to fax declaration page..by the way I went back to reservation and no where there does it say you need that page.the clerk by this time was quite irate . After all this run around I said can you please just do your job and finish. He stopped what he was doing and looked me straight in my face and said.OR WHAT? I couldn't believe what I was hearing I said excuse me..he repeated OR WHAT?at which point I asked for a supervisor . No one at the counter wanted to give me the corp number or call supervisor. He finally went far behind the counter and spoke with his supervisor . He told me follow me and took me to another rental company across the lobby. I felt like a child being taken to the principals office. The mgr never apologized and literally said the employee was doing his job. That I had neglected to bring the declarations page. They are not allowed to get it from the phone.didnt offer a solution .. screw me.. I spent about forty min reserving another car from another company for more money. The principal is not the money its lack of basic respect and courtesy. People wonder what drives people in crazy situations were people react in dangerous ways. This could have been one of those .I am not young but I am very sick.. I had been threatened abused scolded all for trying to pay for a service.this is not going to stay here I will written advantage and I will look up all info I can and inform everyone I can about this incident.and kayak should let their customers know wether or not they need additional info before they go to receive a service.

Left flat with a flat tire.
Pros: I thought the Kia drove well. Picking up the car was fairly easy.
Cons: I had a flat tire. Called them and was put on hold for twenty minutes. They finally said it would be at least another hour before help would come. I called AAA and they arrived very quickly.

Pros: The price was good for the car
Cons: Crumbs left in the back seat when I first got the car. The car was not similar to the car that I was promised. The company charged $40 a day extra saying that I returned the car to the wrong company. But I did to return it to the correct company. Money was refunded... they need to be more attentive to the customers atleast call me and ask where the car is before assuming it wasn't in the right place or check with your employees because they did not do their job right.

Cons: they charge more than the amount arrange in the contract ($250 MORE) spoke to agent named Erwin A (DID NOT GIVE ME HIS LAST NAME) and promise to make the correction , wich has not being done

Pros: This rental was a great value. There was no wait at the counter, the car was pretty new, and the agent was pleasant and explained coverage options without being pushy. I got a very basic car but for the price it was a great value and more than suitable for my needs.

30 minutes waiting to confirm and verify my car re
Pros: Value for money
Cons: I had to wait 30 min at the counter to confirm availability of the car reserved + another 20 min waiting on the car detail

The lady at the counter treated me with the worst
Pros: I like that i went to Thrifty and i was treated like a human being and was able to get a car
Cons: Worst customer service, i wouldnt mind that much being declined to rent or ask to come back at the time that my reservation started with a good attitude

Line to pick up car too long
Pros: Good location
Cons: After a long wait to pick up the car I rented from the company next door and had a great experience at a lower price. Advantage staff kept me waiting while they were busy up-selling insurance and services to other customers. Competition is a wonderful thing!

Not the best service!
Pros: The price.
Cons: If you don't purchase the insurance they give you a hard time. The car (a compact not economy) was super basic, NOT central locking, pwr. windows, etc.

Will not rent to locals.
Pros: Please be aware they do not honor unlimited miles for locals. I have rented from them in the pass, until recently when they were bought out by royal car rental. They knew id done business with them in the past. They did not care and referred me to a policy change that happened tqo days before i reserved.

Pros: Wasn't able to rent the vehicle after all. Although I'd made the reso for the car over a month ago, I didn't learn of all the hidden fees and restrictions for Florida residents until pick up time.
Cons: Would never make a reso with this company again. Hate the hidden restrictions and fees and poor customer care experience.

Advantage is OK
Pros: I liked the vehicle. I liked paying for toll in advance. Gas mileage was ok.
Cons: I didn't like all the taxes and fees I had to pay. I didn't like the dropoff procedure. The dropoff signs for Advantage weren't prominent & there were a lot of cars just sitting there when I arrived.

Cons: The car was filthy inside, had a leaking front tire but there was no spare tire, jack or tire iron so i had to put air every day. The care was delivered with front spoiler damaged from previous rental

Worst customer service
Pros: The price was very reasonable.
Cons: I'm not a big complainer, but I'm not sure if I'll ever return to Advantage. I had an associate that yelled, truly yelled, because we mentioned that additional fees they had sounded like a possible scam. He snapped at us right on the spot like he had no care in the world. I've worked in customer service for 20 years, and I would never dream of treating a customer like Marcello did at the Miami International Airport. We asked to speak to the manager and he just brought another guy in that was nicer, but customer service is not a priority with this business, obviously. I hope that they get things under control with their attitudes, or they'll lose many more customers like me in the future.

Cons: First car I received the radio didn't work and when I reported it they acted as if they already knew that that vehicle's radio was broken. The staff was rude and unhelpful.

Cons: Same of old try to run up the fees at the counter. The lady at the counter said I have to get their insurance, even though it covered by my credit card. She continued to insist that my credit card does not cover everything and at the very least that I was OBLIGATED to get the lower insurance plan through them. She began to say this was a law, then said this was a new policy because they had just merged with EZ cart rental. NOTE: I had just rented a car with EZ car rental 3 weeks ago, and there was no such policy. Finally, I got tired of arguing with the woman and said thank you but no thank you. I proceeded to the next car rental agency, non other then EZ car rental.... Since they merged!! which was true, I was able to get the same car which I had just cancelled with advantage through EZ car rental, and guess what??? I was able to rent the car without getting their insurance!!! Long story short, car rental companies should remove commission based compensation for adding more fees to customers!

Cons: We were told we would get a Camry or Jetta. The car they gave us was a little Mazda. The car was dirty with a lot of scratches. We got in and there was only a half tank of gas. Had to go back to the counter to report this. They then wanted us to wait while the got the tank filled. We refused and requested the Camry they promised us in the first place which they then supplied. typical bait and switch

Rude rude rude
Pros: Just liked the price next time I will stick to larger names it was the first and the last
Cons: The guy at the counter was very rude and functioned like a robot-a computer would have been better to interact with-the car was dirty inside and out- if something happens like an accident they don't allow you to transfer your private insurance over like most car rentals- also we had 5 large bags and this airport does not have access to push carts near the rental car center which is about a 20- 25 min transit no bus shuttles just a lot of walking-- so

Almost a scam
Pros: New, clean car
Cons: Add-on's all over the place, including $7/day for a SunPass (otherwise you have a heck of a time getting out of the airport and Miami). The add-on for an extra driver, my wife, added 30% to the price....and so forth. Avoid Advantage and their sister, E-Z

Pay the extra money and go with a better known com
Pros: Price - but you pay for what you get
Cons: 1:40 mins on the phone trying to extend the rental and no one answered in Miami. Ended up just returning the car and re-renting with Alamo. Horrible/non-existence customer service.

Ugh never again
Cons: The car wasn't ready when I showed up and the attendant was rude. I didn't get the jeep I ordered and instead got a jacked up minivan. The car had damage to every panel plus they didn't even bother to remove the parking violation sticker residue from a previous renter on the window. The car was stained all over the interior. They didn't give me the remote entry to the car even though I had an infant with me and needed it. About 30 mins after I jumped on the highway w the car, the warning lights went off because it needed to be serviced. Fifteen minutes after that, the low tire pressure signal went off. They don't seem to do any kind of maintenance on these vehicles which is scary. When I mentioned it to the guy when I dropped the car back off, he not only didn't care, didn't give me a discount, etc but he also didn't even write the problem down! Pay the extra couple bucks a day to NOT rent from these people!!

Cons: Since my plane was delayed 2 hrs, I was there 2 hrs later to pick up the car which I rent earlier with paying insurance. When I got there, they said they didn't have any cars left and I couldn't rent since I came late. They didn't even check it up and just rent the car to other people that I already booked. I was in panic. I asked about insurance and they said they were not involved in the car insurance that I paid through Kayak and they said I had to figure out things by myself or ask other car rental place. I will never use this place and NOT recommend!!

Pros: The Toyota Yaris was extremely economical with the gas mileage and comfortable, and easy to drive an park!
Cons: The bumper cover of Toyota Yaris kept coming off! It was not clear where I had to return the car in the car rental center. I had to park and walk up to the booth to ask an attendant where to return the car.

Miami Airport Car Rental Center
Pros: Flexible drop off, pick up times Reasonably priced
Cons: Rental Car Center in Miami has many negatives. It is hard to reach from arriving flights, massive , expansive car center that is not necessary, Advantage rent a car was unorganized, painfully slow, and had employees who appeared to be trying to slow down the process or were borderline incompetent

DO NOT GO HERE EVEN IF YOU HAVE A RESERVATION!
Cons: The pressure to buy insurance and the hidden fees! they slip them in the small print without telling you up front! Chargers fees for everything. $25 fee for $1 toll. Stay away. The car seats were dirty .We had difficulties getting in touch with anyone at Advantage to deal with it. Pay a little more and choose another rental car company. The WORST EVER!!!!

Very Long Counter Line
Pros: Great car for the price.
Cons: The line was extremely long even with 3 people working the counter. The time it took me to get a car and drive away was the same as my flight time from Atlanta to Miami. If the line would have been any longer, I would have paid twice the price and went next door to Budget. In addition, one of the sales clerks told me that the Sunpass included the price of the tolls. I knew that this was not correct, so I asked again just to see what he would say and he reiterated the same message.

Fraudulent accident claim
Cons: This company has filed a claim against me for an accident that did not occur. I have never had such an experience in all of the years that my company has been utilizing rental cars. Clearly this company employs unscrupulous people. I will never utilize this company again, nor will any of the organizations with which I am affiliated. Legal action is being taken. Avoid Advantage Rental Car at all costs.

Dirty and smelling van
Pros: The van drove nice and did good gas mileage
Cons: The van was dirty and smell bad inside the windshield wipers where bad and felt unsafe to drive when raining at night
