Pros: I really appreciated that Dollar One let us extend our rental multiple times without raising the daily price. I had initially planned for a 2 day rental because my car was being shipped to my new home and was supposed to arrive a couple days after I flew in. The car was delayed a full week with very little information on when it might actually arrive and it was very easy to extend the rental over the phone whenever I realized that I would need it for longer.
Cons: There was very poor communication about when and where the car could be returned. I arranged over the phone to return the car to the Miami Beach location on Sunday, but when I arrived, the location was closed and I had to either extend it another day or drive all the way to the airport

Great layout, fast and efficient.
Pros: The garage is easy to find and everything went smoothly.
Cons: those scary red spike strips scare my wife! ha ha

Cons: Dollar representatives were rude at the desk at pick up. Dollar return reps were talking to co workers and took more than 45 minutes to received the car and handle me the return ticket. I WON'T EVER USE DOLLAR AGAIN...NEITHER WOULD I USE KAYAK...AS I DON'T HAVE ANY SUPPORT FOR THIS SITUATION, WHERE DOLLAR HAVE ROBE ME $ 1000

Unprecedented Detriment to Travel
Cons: Waited in counter-line for slightly longer than "usual" for car rental. Was then sent to garage where no-one guided ANY customers regarding what they should do. After a short while I sought out someone in uniform who informed me that we were to have given our paperwork to they or another representative to garner our "place in line" as there was no-one in the reception booth. I went around assisting customers who were simply confused and did not speak the language so that they were not forgotten/passed-over. After being told numerous times we would be taken care of in "10-15 minutes" I asked why we were waiting for over an hour and twenty minutes. The woman who appeared to be "in charge" informed me that I had "rented the wrong type of vehicle." To this I asked how reserving a luxury vehicle was "my fault" and the response I received was, "Maybe you like I give you economy car?" I do not engage in threats nor confrontations so I then went upstairs and spoke with Imrahn who was very surprised that I was still there. He summoned the manager and instructed me to meet him downstairs. I did so and waited. Imrahn then politely informed me that it would be a long time before the car that I had reserved would be available. This 1.75-2.0 hour debacle disrupted the travel plans of seven people. Never have I experienced this level of lacking performance or unprofessional/inappropriate behavior (garage staff, not counter) in any form of rental experience. I honestly cannot believe that an entire day was ruined due to scheduling that had buffers built-in but were unrecoverable with such a ridiculous delay. Please feel free to ask Imrahn what my behavior consisted of before making any assumptions that I/we were what I refer to as the typical "impossible to please" travelers.

Pros: Dollar Car Rental had reservation filed, check out at Front Counter was prompt except for...
Cons: Salesperson added daily insurance charges of $30 per day to my reservation even though I had told him that I did not need it (I'm covered through my personal car insurance and credit card benefits), he also was pushing road toll charges of $10 per day which I declined and was not included. When I went to pick up the car, there was no one to assist you to find it, everyone that was there was scrambling to find their rental cars on their own, after a lengthy checkout process at exit stop (20 minutes) I got a car that: had over 40K miles, transmission problem with first gears and highway speeds, a flat tire on a Saturday which I had to fix myself since customer service could not pick up call because they were closed. There was no service until the next working day, a Tuesday since it was a Monday Holiday weekend. Everyone I spoke to upon returning vehicle refused to take my complaint as a report and was told by a manager that my contract was binding and that I was responsible for all charges incurred. This rental car experienced greatly diminished my vacation experience while seeing some family members.

Pros: Pick up was fine,explanation of how to handle toll charges answered when asked
Cons: During rental period wished to make change to extend rental period and d/cing daily toll charge. Call dropped twice, finally connected but on arrival to drop off found two errors. Told to call customer service...two attempts so far, system too busy or down. still need to call back......

Pros: Car was at expected overall good
Cons: Pick up was hard since they did not understand the process. The page said our overall rate included toll pass and we paid extra for that since ir was not included, however, at the end it was good!

Cons: I landed with a lot of heavy luggage. I asked one of the garage attendants to help me get my luggage in the car-he said "i need to eat-let HIM do it" and pointed to someone else. I ended up loading my luggage myself only to be told that my car (that was in the lane of "medium size cars" which I ordered,) was actually a large car and I needed to switch to a medium car. No apology for THEIR mistake or assistance. But then again, all of the services at MIA are crappy.

Dollar did their homework
Pros: Process was quick and easy. We had a reservation with Enterprise and we lost money and time. When we booked through Dollar the process was fast and easy.

Drop off was a bit confusing
Pros: Once someone came by it was a fast process. They charged my car and released the rest of the funds immediately which was great!
Cons: I pulled into the drop off section of Dollar and was a bit lost. I stood in a long line and when I got to the front I was told I needed to stand by my car and wait for someone. There was no one in sight so I had no clue this was the process. I suggest putting a sign up that says "wait by your car and someone will be with you".

Horrible service !
Cons: The booking agent was rude and unhelpful, the handback took for ever as ther was inly 1 agent recieving the cars. Avis is cheapper and faster. The quality of the car was more than okay, needs to be cleanner. Also please dont advertise allianze insurance in your booking page if the at the booking counter they wont accept it. That is plain misleading.

A rental castastrophe @ MIA
Cons: Absolutely terrible experience. (1) DOLLAR staff at MIA referred me to use kiosk on site which did not connect me to an agent after repeated attempts and by their own admission did not function. (2) DOLLAR management at MIA would not allow me to extend the rental. Was astounded that when asked whether given the choice of extending my rental or my taking business to other rental car agencies, DOLLAR said to take my business elsewhere. Had to cancel at the counter and scurry around to other rental agencies to secure my rental car for my vacationing family.

Pros: being done with dollar.
Cons: woman walks right past me as i drive up and disregards me. i dont know where to go so she starts screaming when i drive past drop-off spot. i told her "you were looking right at me and said nothing" and she rolls her eyes. great customer service. i was two minutes late and get charged for full extra hour. what a joke. Hertz or Enterprise from now on - on principle. hope it was worth it.

Pros: Good car for one or two people, easy to drive.
Cons: I reserved the car from my phone, was unable to click the government rate, rented the car and Dollar was not willing to give me the government rate afterwards because the reservations was not made with the government rate. Also did not like the fact that you cannot make reservations at the Dollar counter in Miami International Airport.

This automobile needs service
Pros: Perfect Size for my needs.
Cons: Kayak price did not show when I reached rental counter. After showing email confirmation from Kayak, attendant did manual override for the correct price. The car needs service as the steering shakes at speeds above 50 mph. My 1st experience with Florida Sunpass. I advise customers to do research on Sunpass as well as calling Sunpass directly for details.

Cons: online booking WAS $249 got to the counter at Miami international airport and "paulette" gave me the $663......!!!!! walked away and got $359 from National..... never trust dollar rent a car

Best rental I have
Pros: I choice the special car, when i when to the airport the personal let me pick any car available that i want. The car was clean, brand new( 2015), good on gas. My kids love it. easy to pick up from Miami airport and drop off in Orlando airport. I lost my sun pass and i report it online and few days later they found it. No surprise fees, everything was under the contract explain. Thank you so much

Misleading Prices & Awful Service
Pros: The car was fine, although we didn't get to pick it out.
Cons: -We were quoted $10/day but the price almost quadrupled once we got on site due to mandatory hidden fees. -Service reps sold us toll tags that were never explained. -Outbound Service Rep instructed us that we HAD to have a receipt for refilling the tank WITHIN TEN MILES of our dropoff location or we'd be charged more than $10/gallon. After spending 45 minutes searching the nearest gas station to the Orlando Airport, the dropoff location quickly tossed the receipt without so much as looking at it or asking for one.

Cons: I went to pick up my car, and all of a sudden my rate went from $800.00 to $2500.00 . I left the counter and rented elsewhere. Dollar tried to rip me off. never again will I rent from them. Thieves!!!!

Cons: When we booked the car through kayak it was informed that the rental price will be 86 usd an when we got to the car rental center at MIA, the dollar agent told us that the total amount will be Approx 450 usd. I think you should post more Clear information on your webpage regarding the terms and conditions of the prices or whether it includes taxes or any other charges. It is surprising how 86 usd become 450 usd. I did not rent the car. In addition, I payed through kayak an insurance with Allianz which according to the dollar agent does not cover any car rented. I want the money payed for the insurance back.

Pros: They switched out my rental car which had the odor of cigarette smoke with no problem or delay. I really appreciated the way they handled it.

Friendly service, but you have to wait for it.
Pros: I had a really bad experience trying to rent from another car company. When I got to Dollar, the lady reassured me that everything would be ok and she was very friendly. I did have to wait in a line for about 20 minutes before meeting with her though. When you go out to the parking garage, you get to pick your own vehicle out of the type you have chosen, but in my case (economy) there was only one car still available.
Cons: There was confusion when you walk into the parking garage. I didn't know where I was supposed to go.

Pros: Considerate workers and fantastic car. The drop-off process was extremely easy and fast.
Cons: Had to wait a long time in line at the counter to pick up the car even though there were just 3 ahead of me. There were a lack of workers at the counter but I imagine that it was because of the early hour.

They did not honor the quote that kayak gave me an
Pros: The car drove fine. The drop-off was seamless.
Cons: I came twenty minutes after getting the quote, the quote wasn't in the system yet and the woman rep told me to wait 20 minutes or pay $375 more than what I was quotes, I patiently waited twenty minutes but the price was more because she said she had to charge me for a week when it was only 5.5 days that I required the car and I'd already gotten the lower quote which she then said was in the system. She told me I absolutely needed a $52 sunpass even when I said I was staying not near Miami. She lied and told me I absolutely required insurance addition and was angry when I already paid extra for Amex primary insurane on vehicle, she said that wasn't good and I needed theirs. She was furious when I said I didn't want Dollar to refill gas and that I would and said I would pay a lot more doing it that way. As mentioned she absolutely did not honor the quote I got through Kayak even though I was there at the time for which the quote was relevant. The base rate was more as was the tax. When I went to pick up compact car, the guy in the garage said they only had minivans or a huge chevy SUV but I hate driving a big car (for gas mileage and also I just feel more comfortable in small car which is why I booked the small time. He said I'd have to wait another hour or so for a smaller car so we waited. It was more like 40 minutes but still, why didn't she tell me there were no cpmpact cars (btw, there were mid-size cars available and not luxury but he wouldn't let me take one of those, only a minivan or huge Chevy SUV). He insisted minivans get great fuel economy. The whole thing was absurd, I wound up spending so much more than my original quote and waiting about an hour and half at desk (for un-honored quote to come in and then to wait for a small car) from time I got to Dollar. The car drove fine but in daylight it had chips and scratches everywhere, not a problem but just FYI. The worst rental experience by far that I have ever had. Back to Enterprise or any other company really. They knew they had me by the balls because it was nearly midnight and I was exhausted. She seemed so nice originally but then turned into a really evil and pushy person when we spoke about the rate.

Cons: Was not clean. Charged an extra $10 for a "different drop off" location when in fact I booked the same location in Kayak, and confirmed with the staff before getting the vehicle that there would be no charge.
