The staff was most courteous and helpful. The hotel was very convenient to the heart of Paris and many of its attractions. I recommend that reservations be re-confirmed prior to travelling to avoid any confusion.
Great atmosphere, helpful staff.
Location, style, very friendly and professional staff at front desk and concierge Room not very spacious, no gym/spa
We loved the central location, across from the Louvre and the Gardens of Toulerie as well as the view of the Eiffel Tower. Sightseeing, shopping and all types of dining were within walking distance. There was nothing unpleasant about this hotel.
location & style
Location, nice atmosphere On the expensive side
Concierge services are exceptional - special thanks to Eric, Remy, Magaly.
it was next to the metro station
The worst hotel Old smelly rooms , bad carpet dirty, wood very bad
Location and comfort.
The best about hte hotel is its location - just next to the Louvre, between two squares, walking distance to everything I wanted to visit (never took a taxi or any other kind of transport). The receptionists were English-speaking and nice and helpful. The room was spacey (stayed in a junior suit), as well as the bathroom, cosy and clean. In fact, everything in the room, as well as the service, could be compared to a 5* hotel (including the cosmetics in the bathroom). Plus, the free WiFi is a nice addition to all. The hall and the corridors need renewing - the first impression of the hotel lowers ones expectations because of the old and a bit dirty common spaces in the hotel. Another thing, is that the air-conditioning was poorly working and it was a bit hot, but I just turned it off and opened the windows from time to time. Also, unpleasant surprice was the thinnes of the walls - I could hear every slam of a door and footsteps, however, no one really made noise, so I slept like a baby. One more thing about noise is that the windows of my room overlooked an inner yard and when opening the window there was a bussying sound from the air-conditioning or other machines. Overall, these were quite minor problems and didn't spoil my stay in the least!
O.K., I know its owned by Hyatt but It still felt boutiquey and small with a personal touch (as if not owned by Hyatt). The staff focused on attentive service, from the front desk, to room service, etc. Its clearly part of the staff culture. There is an intimate feel as if they all know each other--and everything about you. When I spoke to one front desk person they know a discussion I had with another the day before. The Concierge was amazing and made recommendations and the actual reservations and when things were not available made good judgments on his own for changes. We felt like they know us and were watching out for us. It is not that big really which helps in this case. The rooms felt well maintained with a terrific balance of old world and new. Highly Recommended!!!!
Great traditional typical parisian 4* hotel. Excellent location. Wanted 100 euros to stay until 1:00pm for check-out. Offered me 12 noon free.
The quality of the rooms, decoration, and space are far far less than shown in the pictures and indicated in the hotel desciption.
The welcoming and very helpful staff, cleanliness of rooms, and above all, the excellent location. The room service was poor. We had a baby and we used to order warm milk twice a day. They gave us hot milk one day, watered down the other, cold another, and so on, even though every day we asked for a glass of warm milk. I guess it all depends on who is on the shift.
Great location ......just a short walk from some fantastic places of great interest. Buzzing cafe night life right on the doorstep too....good atmosphere in the hotel... It seemed expensive and the quality failed to match the expense....certainly for a pound based UK visitor. There was a shortage of helpful welcoming staff....particularly at reception where you face an unacceptable wait. Irritating.
Excellent location, helpful staff, clean rooms, large and light bathrooms, really french atmosphere, close to most of the sightseeings and fashion boutiques. The decoration of rooms is a bit tired, but this is a problem of the most of the hotels in the centre of Paris.
excellent location, good room
Location is very good
Location, staff and cleanliness No
Staff, decor, location size of bathroom - very small
the best part of the hotel is the location and its good breakfast When i arrived at night on a prepaid reservation the reception staff tried to send me to another hotel nearby claiming the room had suffered damage and was unavailable. After a full day of travelling and not having received an advance notice of the "event" I suspected this was a trick used by an overçbooked hotel. I demanded to see the damages and this the supposed manager was unable to show me, so after a little voice raisingf on my part all of the sudden the room became available. I left that the hotel reception made to lie to me their paying customer . Two more managers emerged and during my short saty the hotel personel made me feel as if they had made me and my wife a favor by letting us stay in the hotel for which I had PREPAID my stay. I can only imagine if my reservation was not prepaid I would have been in the street looking for a hotel room
Location, Location, Location!!! Saint-Germain-des-Prés is a fabulous area and you can walk to many interesting sites and shops. As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe and welcome at the hotel and in the area. The room I was assigned had a view of a generator that was a bit noisy in the early morning hours. Beware of Room 106 travelers!! Other than that everything was great!!
Sympathetic environment. Very good location Too expensive for what it is. There was no hot water in our room (room 406) and the concierge did nothing about it. We had to leave the next morning. Not a good experience. The room was very small and the price was huge. 570 euros, plus breakfast 50 euros for two......May I ask why?
I had serious problems in the hotel with payment by credit cards. For sure tecnical devices on the reception must to be checked. It was really very unpleased to be learned that you can't pay by your credit card then you know that there are enough money on this card...
The location is ideal for a trip to Paris. Plenty of restaurants, cafes. public transportation. The bed was very comfortable. Like most hotels in France (and Europe) this so-called "Superior" room was tiny.
romantic room was very small for the amount paid.
My wife and I were impressed with the hotel from the minute we walked into the lobby. The receptionist and bell hop could not have been more hospitable. The decor was elegant, and the spa and work out facilities were state of the art. In addition to this, the nearness to the Boulevard St. Germaine de Pres, boutiques, and cafes was excellent.
the location was great and the small hotel was very private.
I liked the staff very much. The food was good and delivered on time. The room was imaginatively designed. My only disappointment was that I was on the top floor and instead of a window lookin onto the Place Vendome, there was a large mirror. Thus the room was dark at all times.
Attention to details was good. Advised prior to arrival it was our 20 th wedding anniversary and they had a bottle of wine waiting for us. Very professional staff. My wife liked the chocolate on our bed every night after turndown service. ice machine, coffee/tea facility within the room would be nice . Excer
Well situated near place Vendome, very helpful staff. Everything was excelent.
The staff were outstanding and most polite and helpful.
Convenient location, a comfortable room suite, a good restaurant with Michelline star, mostly friendly staff, The attitude of some people from the staff
water would change temputer during taking a shower
The room was well laid out and the staff was very curteous. The hotel was in an excellent location. I could not get the free wifi to work on my computer and the hotel staff had no soluition. The lighting system was hard to figure out.
It was totally luxurious in an unpretentious way, rooms absolutely beautiful, ornate lift, relaxing calm restaurant. Perfect in every way.
Staff was courteous, rooms were clean, location was great, restaurant/ bar in lobby great. I didn't like that I had to buy an adapter. Most hotels lend them and have it in the rooms. I'm staying in London now and there is an adapter for free. I didn't like that there was a charge for hi speed internet. Low speed was free but u had to pay for high speed, seems silly.
Concierge service was very good, reasonably quiet, bed comfortable, bar was nice, bath was clean room was very small, location just ok, very expensive (breakfast 27 euro, or about $40 each) bar drinks expensive, room very expensive for the size and quality
Great location, slightly older hotel but in great condition, very clean. I enjoyed the old photos in the hallways although I felt the decor in my room was lacking. The hairdryer in the bathroom was awesome, very powerful! I didn't like that I had to buy an adapter - I came from a hotel in Munich that allowed guests to rent.
The hotel is marvelous...great location on the Left Bank, close to Musee Orsey. The restaurant attached to the hotel, L'Atelier is world class and a must visit! We will return to this property the next time we are in Paris no
Location, service Breakfast ok but not great eg bread average, pastries mediocre
This is a modern, clean, comfortable hotel in a prime location in St. Germain, near the Musee d'Orsay, an upscale area with good restaurants nearby . It is not a particularly tourist-oriented neighborhood and many shops were closed for August vacation. However a Metro stop one block from the hotel provides convenient access to other arrondisements and neighborhoods. The concierge desk was most helpful in making restaurant reservations, arranging a taxi to the airport, and answering questions. The room, though fairly small (this is Paris!), was comfortable and had many convenience features.
Fantastic location. Right next to a main subway stop that made it perfect for infra-city travel. Staff was warm, welcoming, and accommodating. Highly recommend Some road noise from the city streets while sleeping. Although I think this is overall hard to avoid in downtown Paris. It certainly should not hinder you from selecting this hotel
Room (Junior Suite) was well appointed and comfortable, with an impressive view of Paris from the balcony.
A luxe hotel with a friendly staff. We had a tidy deluxe-room with a balcony and a clean bathroom; there was a various, tastefull breakfast and the hotel has a nice and comfortable bar, lounge- and tearoom. Next to our room there was a compressor/aircondition machine which gave a noisy sound during the night. The air in the room was musty(although the room was very clean).
The staff were all fabulously helpful.
the bed was so comfortable and the room was very nice. No enough space for the luggage or in room dinning.
The location was excellent- close to shopping on the Ledt Bank and also convenient to the Louvre, D'Orsey, and transportation around the city. Also, the staff was very helpful, assisting us obtaining dinner reservations and in helping us with language issues, etc..
Truly excellent hotel. Currently probably the best in Paris
View of Tuileries and Eiffel Tower was marvelous. Staff were delightful. It's a little tired. Rooms with view of courtyard are dark. Food service is lackluster and expensive. Breakfast was cold and slow. Decor is very worn. Salon is trying so hard but misses chic by a mile. Staff are charming.
Location, close to most of the tourist destination on walking distance... Overpriced for the services they offered..
Very quiet for the centre of the city yet very close to restaurants, cafes, gardens, culture, metro etc. Large windows that opened onto old buildings and a courtyard and all we could hear was singing from the nearby church The staff were very helpful and welcoming. Room was a bit small and the door was very difficult to unlock!
Excellent front desk staff, also in the bar/restaurant although service there a bit on the slow side. Rooms well designed but like most Paris hotels a bit on the 'compact' side. See above - not much room in the room, although for a two night stopover perfectly acceptable. Great bathroom - unusually good Parisian plumbing!
Central friendly staff Food poor value for money meal at night expensive and not particuarly good
great location. Great rooms. Unbeatable comfort.
It was fine, just what we wanted. the lift is too small, but I appreciate the diffficulties of placing a new lift into a protected structure
Staff; location price was much higher than suggested
Good Location A bit pricey for what you get. Although a few of the hotel staff were very nice and helpful, for the most part they were not. Trying to get a cab at 5am was not fun
Reception. The shower water escapes and floods the bathroom floor.
Location was great - lots of shopping and we walked all over Paris from the hotel to visit galleries and the Montparnasse tower for the best view of the city. Quite noisy from building site and road opposite our 3rd floor room. We couldn't make the air con cool our room and did mention this to reception but they didn't seem to do anything.
extremely friendly staff - small, but cosy room - nice and tasteful furniture private pool in the cellar was a bit strange (resembling a dungeon) but in some way also funny and romantic
Critically understaffed probably due to so many French employees taking summer holidays. Found broken glasses left unattended around the poolside. No running hot water during my stay, but given discounted rate and very commited staff (although few in numbers) and the manager, after all satisfactory. Yet I doubt if I want to come back on special occasions and never on summer holiday season.
Quirky idiosyncatic place with character. Excellent location. We loved it.
The facility exceeded expectations as well as the staff and the room. I was fortunately upgraded, possibly because the restaurant was closed for a day due to a Fashion shoot in the hotel. I couldn't have been more pleased with everything.
The special atmosfear of the hotel
The restaurant is fantastic, and overall the hotel ambience was good. Location good too. No shower! not even a clip to hang the shower attachment on! Small bath. No mini bar. Not enough room to swing a cat in. 'Shabby chic' definitely the correct description as rooms very tired decor wise - handle even dropped off the wardrobe door. Ridiculously, outrageously overpriced!!!!!
i liked a lot the people working there , very nice and friendly some of the rooms were not well lit , hence it was uncomfortable for packing and reading also the safe gave me a lot of trouble it wasnt working properly lift too small and not enough for staff and guests
Location is perfectly central - 100meters from the Seine opposite the Louvre. Hotel is compact and upstairs corridors only fit one person at a time but is the most unique, quirky and original design I have ever seen (You must see to believe!). The room was small but amazing and I believe every room is decorated differently. I would recommend anyone to stay here and when they do - book the private plunge pool and steam room for yourself for an hour in the morning. Take time to sit in the bar drawing room to sip a drink 100 years back in time. Staff were very friendly and practically ran my life for 2 days with all the questions they answered for me!
Unusual hotel - funky decor Swimming pool is tiny. First day and a half no hot water. Restaurant was closed
I liked going to the steam room & the fact that the spa area stayed open late. The concierge was very handy and helpful to have for making reservations and checking travel routes. The hotel was very expensive and the rooms are still quite small (I know rooms are small in Paris, I go there often). I just don't think it is worth the money when all that extra money added was a spa we rushed back to after dinner at night to feel like we were getting the value of the hotel.
we liked the wery good position but more of all we have appreciated the wery wery good restaurant PINXO and his chef staff the only person who speaks italian is ......the italian barman (very kindly), nothing is written in italian but spanish yes!
close to everything it was wonderful,
rooms must have been recently renovated... clean and modern... small but well laid out.. bathrooms were very well done ... staff excellent.. pool and workout facilities great no hotel was great...only disappointment was that we were there in August and that is when parisians vacation and as result many restaurants etc close for the month... and restaurant closed at hotel for month of august.
The rooms are a lot smaller than you would expext.
Particularly given my short stay (2 days), the staff has been very helpful in assisting me in various things, e.g. getting a ticket to a sold out event.
Space inside room was quite limited
Fully Equiped, clean & new Room, with a good location Very Tiny Room
Tasteful hotel Very very small rooms - no view
I thought that the staff were helpful, but did not enjoy the stay as much as last time. Do not stay in Room 101 it supposed to be a luxury room where it is really expensive and is right on the front opposite the Irish Bar. Very noisy at night. Did not get a very good night sleep the first night of the holiday.
Great location, excellent base for touring and exploring from. Park right across the street and metro station at front door. Staff very friendly - concierge service was excellent helping with decisions and arrangements. Enjoyed the bar in the evenings. Would likely stay there on any return trip.
Quiet and cozy room. Spacious and clean. Staff was very helpful at check in and the few times I requested suggestions for dining.
location of hotel was amazing, staff was great, concierge was great. everything was fine
Very comfortable, affordable Hotel with the luxury of the Spa. After long days of walking it was great to relax in the pool and spa! The room was very big as is the American way! Location was perfect.
Concierge was extremely helpful with planning day trips and use of metro. We travelled with subway and bus without any trouble as they give you maps and great instructions. Rooms were clean and had fresh crisp white linens. Housecoat and slippers to use spa. Courtyard lovely to sit in while waiting for wife to get ready. We had a two level suite on mainfloor over looking a very French courtyard/garden.
The location was awesome! The noise and lack of an outlet in the bathroom, The room was also dated and could see years of wear and tear.
The position Frankly more or less everything! In serious need of modernisation!! Air cond not functioning in a great number of rooms, carpets hardly clean in common areas, state of the building itself, in the garden show the lack of maintenance. An overpriced, and way overrated hotel.
My boyfriend and I stayed here on our first trip to Paris. The location is amazing - a metro stop across the street, as well as the Louvre and Tuilleries gardens. The bed was large and comfortable, and our room was cleaned no matter how late in the day. The restaurant had a beautiful courtyard and good food (breakfast is not included). The room was a little dark, but the common areas of the hotel felt luxurious. Couldn't have asked for a better location, especially at the price we got. The room was a little dark - could have used more lamps and another mirror. A few nights there was noise from people either closing doors or shutters in the hotel. For some reason the front desk took about an hour to deliver us our bags despite multiple calls, but that was the only time we had an issue with service.
I had a great stay. Staff was very polite and helpful. Location was perfect, breakfast was delicious. Will come back again
Overall was a great place but its ally was given a room that was approximently 250 sq feet. Enough place for one but NOT two. To change rooms it cost an extra $50.00/ day. And while we were there the room was rented out again with the same result occurring to another couple. So while it made have great qualities the hotel still scams the customer.
great hotel no complaints
Location ... Location ... Location The courtyards are just gorgeous and what better place to enjoy breakfast or coffee or a drink. We loved our room, # 210. it had a loft with a bed. and a view of the courtyard. Breakfast was not included. I think the room price should include it !
Location to major tourist sites very good Free internet access spacious room Poor reception area ,lack of assistance on arrival, room furniture in poor conditionlack of cleaning to room ie not vacumned & dirty glasses not replaced or cleaned
Location fantastic Would have been nice to have a bar in the hotel
Location - near the Louvre and short walk to the Arch de Triumph. Outside view from our room was to an interior courtyard - no view.
Location, location, location.
Very friendly staff especially the evening that we arrived. All spoke very good english and were very helpful and very friendly with my children Unfortunately there was no hot water in our apartment and the shower door had come off its hinges, which was not immediately apparent on our arrival. However, the staff resolved this by giving us access to the bathroom in the room next door. Not ideal but it worked out for us
The location overlooking the Tuilleries on Rue de Rivoli was excellent. The lounge was cosy. The person handling the Reception much of the time was consistently unpleasant, unhelpful and almost rude. One person handling the luggage would not reply or confirm that the Hotel would keep the luggage for sometime after check out.
Hotel Brighton is extremely elegant and stylish. It is the ultimate address for a short, comfortable and realistically priced stay in Paris.
Location was wonderful- right next to Louvre and Tuileries. Comfortable walking distance to all attractions. Front desk manager was quite rude and unobliging.
The hotel is located central to many things to do in Paris. The building is quaint and pretty. It was warm weather for October and we were told there is no A.C. and no fans. The staff at the desk was unfriendly the maids and bellman helpful and friendly. Our room was extremely hot and located on floor one so if you opened the window for air you had the option of car exhaust, very noisey traffic or a pigeon joining you. I was confined in this room on 2nd day of trip with a broken pelvis from a fall on the sidewalk in Paris.I was very glad to be able to leave this very uncomfortable room and bathroom that smelled like a urinal. Despite many concerned calls from my husband to make arrangements for a car to take us to airport, the evening before no one knew anything about it and was irrated at our inquiries.
During the daytime it was good to be so central to major sightseeing areas. At night we felt a bit more isolated, with many of the shops etc closed.
I liked being in the center of Paris, close to all important monuments and historic attractions. Breakfast was ok and the staff very friendly. The room was extremely small and unfriendly.
The room was wondeful and the hotel is very well situated. It need a conceirege to assist tourists.
the location was really good, and the room was big enough (privilege room). the staff were there when we needed but nothing more then normal. We didnt like the fact that we payed for a superior room and did not have a street view. The room was turned to the back where you could only see windows of the back rooms.
Location was first rate. Breakfasts were good and generous. Staff were very friendly and helpful. no
Convenience to central The hotel was too noisy, pub next door ruined our stay
All the staff were courteous and very helpful at all times. The breakfast was very good for an inclusive price. Although the room was on the small side, it was extremely comfortable, and it was very good to have tea and coffee making facilities. There was nothing we did not like.
Proximity to my meeting place at Place Vendome
very comfortable and quiet
Very good location, close to shopping area. very small room.
Staff and rooms were very nice. Location is close to shopping and various tourist destinations.
This hotel was in a great location, walkable to the Louvre (15min) Notre Dame (20min) and with many great restaurants and bars very close by. We took a guided tour with an English speaking guide to Versaille, booked through the front desk - it was great and I would recommend it. The breakfast is overpriced @ 29Euro per person, but there are many other options nearby.
Friendly service and comfortable room with a nice view of the Eifel Tower.
My clients were delited with this Hotel. You made us look good. The Hotel went beyond our expectations. Only regret: To Good.
Room service was tasty, the hotel is lovely and very well located, overall service is good, hotel is very clean. We were out mostly, but it was lovely while we were there. It was a great experience overall, but we did sit at the bar for a drink for a long while (yes, they knew we were there) and no one served us- some one else was having a drink there already as well. We also had some dirty, wet cleaning rags left in our room on a suitcase. No big deal, but just noted. Our room was tiny. Also, the front desk staff seemed stressed out and although ultimately helpful, they were rather brisk. Please note that our French is very limited, so this is likely just miscommunication on our part.
great location, great breakfast
Excellent location, superb staff, and great breakfast. Lobby bar too small
very modern, clean hotel. loved the location and the surrounding amenities one had access to by walking. granted was in france, but did miss having an english speaking channel other than the bbc news channel.
the service very satisfactory and the location at heart of st germain the croissants are regular, not the best i have had in paris, though the salads and the cheese platters are excellent
the view and location of the hotel and that it has modern mobiliary that they did not have laundry on sunday and that they don´t have efficient taxi service.
The hotel was recently renovated so it's modern. Free internet service was very good. Excellent AC, especially for France. Well located. Most of the rooms are tiny. We reserved the largest room they had which was very comfortable, though still small by USA standards. Worth the higher cost for the large room.
This hotel has air conditioning, which is not very common in the area. There was a heat wave in Paris during our trip, so the air conditioner provided much comfort after spending the day out exploring in the heat. There are really only two reasons to book this hotel: (1) the location is good being right next to the major museums and within decent walking distance of the Eiffel Tower, and (2) it has A/C. There is nothing spectacular about this hotel; it's a relatively clean room with a bed and bathroom. The breakfast is ridiculously overpriced for what you get! Save some money and walk to a nearby cafe to get a good breakfast and spend less money while getting to experience the city.
Lovely large room, big comfortable bed, quiet location, within a few yards of Musee d'Orsee. Nothing negative to report.
The people at the front desk were wonderful and helpful. The room was very quiet, which matters to us. The room was comfortable and kept immaculate. The state of the dollar made this a very expensive stay; but we felt we got what we paid for.
Friendly customer service. Hotel is in an excellent position to see the major tourist attractions.
Comfortable rooms, friendly staff, very close to the river Seine and the heart of Paris, good shower. Small room (club room), no tea and coffee facilities.
I was impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of the team , th equality of the accomodation and the facilities provided in the room. The location was plus parfait , a quiet , central and within easy access of some of the culteral gems of Paris
A good hotel in a perfect location
The location is excellent and the help during the strike invaluable. The bedspread and drapery fabrics need replacing.
Great position on the Left Bank. Given a smoking room when requested a non smoking room.
The rooms were extremely quiet. We could not hear guests in other rooms or in the halls. They were decorated beautifully and the maid service was excellent. We also took advantage of tremendous special pricing. The only complaint was the noise from the street. I guess, we're not use to city living. We were on the third floor and could hear the heals of women walking below. It certainly would not prevent us from staying with you again. We would just ask for a room off the street.
