For this part of Paris the rooms are very nice and good value, with nice design and very comfortable beds. Internet in the rooms was not free, but at least available.
great design of the room, top floor (6th) was excellent, and you could not beat the TV in the bathroom mirror. really happy with this perfectly located gem.
Very good location, very fancy common spaces (hall, breakfast room, reception). The room at the sixth floor was good, but not as great as common spaces. Bathtube/shower uncomfortable (without hang up for the shower and without shower curtain, it's a mess with the water everywhere).
It would be better to have wooden floor than carpet in the room. A shower stall rather than a bathtub would be more convenient. Breakfast a bit too light and with poor variety
The front desk staff was excellent and very helpful in all ways. None to comment on
The staff was helpful when I had questions. Although helpful, I still came away with feeling they wanted to separate guests from their money as quickly as possibly. They were not warm and did not exhibit the hospitality I come to expect from today's hotels. Two examples: On checking in, I specifically asked for a quiet room away from the elevator. Although the relatively room was quiet it was next to the elevator. Unfortunately, because of my jet lag, I didn't realized this until I'd occupied the room. Why would the check-in clerk not consider my request? The second day, leaving the breakfast area I saw a huge cockaroach. I took a picture and sent it to the hotel by email to be discrete about it. They thanked me for the information and said they'd take care of it. When I checked out a bit later in the morning, the clerk told me an exterminator would be there in half an hour. Great for them. But never once did they say they express any need to be forgiven for having a dirty place. They didn't even comp me for the unpleasant experience. I just don't get it. If you want to sell yourselves as a four star establishment you can't just be superficial about it. You have to deliver through and through which is consider this place to be a wanna be four star. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone looking for authentic hospitality and superior service. By way of comparison, I was in Paris 2 years ago and stayed in a two star hotel in the same area and found the service to be of much higher quality. Next visit, I'll go back to them.
The best in Select Hotel is location. It is situated in the center of Paris and it has good neighborhood with Sorbona and Luxemburg park. Muy bien. The room was too small for me and for people from wide area countries.
The hotel is in a great location and the lobby and other public facilities were beautiful. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We also liked that there were several restaurants all within the same square as the hotel. The rooms were tiny and the bathroom made me feel a bit claustrophobic. Also, the Internet only worked during the day.
Friendly, efficient staff. Nicely designed interior and excellent location. Comfortable room. We will definitely stay there again.
Second time at hotel, great location
The location, it was in an exellent square in front of university sorbonne . Big rooms for hotel in paris. Beautiful rooms with very nice architecture view. perhaps a little more of cheese and ham in breakfast
great location, great soundproof windows!unusually beautiful interior decoration! breakfast generous for paris conditions! if you weigh more than 50 kilos, do not go to ther bathroom-you may get stuck..
Centrally located in the latin quarter next to St Germain, facilities were good, personnel was extremely helpful and friendly, A bit small
The hotel was clean, the staff friendly and perfectly located for our purposes, however I am glad that our room was at the front of the hotel and not at the back some other people were asking to change rooms from the back to the front of the hotel. Like a lot of french hotels, there was no complimentary tea, coffee or water in the room which would have been most gratefully received after a long journey.
Excellent location - very near subway/RER stations, Notre Dame, good restaurants etc! Friendly staff, quiet rooms, nice neighborhood - we are very pleased with our stay! The rooms were perhaps a bit small and the breakfast was very expensive (15€) - but fortunately there are many, many cafés just around the corner.
They're ac was out while I was there so it was so hot..
The hotel itself is kept quite well and all of the staff was exceptionally nice. The bartender will tell you you're beautiful then offer you a glass of prosecco then explain what it is. The rooms are large but they didn't feel like anything special. They just felt outdated but not in the way I thought it would be. I was kind of expecting a little more oomph in the furniture but it was just regular boring hotel furniture. The bathroom, however, was excellent. Vanities with two mirrors a tub that is actually big enough to get in if you like baths. The decor felt like it was attempting to be fancy but as soon as you tried to take a picture you could tell it wasn't. I appreciated it nonethelesss. If you are awake watching French tv you can't understand at 2am like we were, I can tell you there's a place around the corner that sells sandwiches and pastries (probably more but I didn't really investigate too hard). These sandwiches will look like they're probably going to be stale and you have no idea what you're about to pay for but it was one of my favorite meals. And they're absolutely massive. If you walk across the street from the hotel and go down the hill from the light you'll run into it just past the little grocery store. If that doesn't make sense just ask the front desk guy at 2am and he'll at least point you to the grocery store. Also, probably one of my favorite moments in Paris. Walking about town at 2 am completely alone to find ciggies and food in my pajamas. The ac. We were ground level so sleeping with window was awkward but we had to for a little bit at one point because it got so hot in the room. And this was in October. So the rooms definitely hold heat well.
Great Location, reception staff were helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and cleaned dailly. I think the Hotel is a bit 'tired' and requires some investment, one of the glass panels on the entrance door had a large crack and there was a missing button in the lift, overall the hotel was looking a bit shabby and in need of refurbishment. Also all tv channels were french, usually a hotel of this standard will have news channels etc as a minimum and/or internet access in the room through the TV.
The staff was great, particlarly Alikhan, as well as Kim. Nice ambience. Great location.
Front desk was excellent, very friendly - answered all questions satisfactorily. Room was good - excellent bathroom. For a short stay this was excellent. No ice machine!
Villa Pantheon was in a fantastic location. Easy walk to St. germain, Notre dame, and a lot of the sites. Staff was super nice and knowledgeable about how to get around the city. Hotel was very clean also. Rooms were slightly small but that is expected in old European cities.
the location of the hotel is good, quite but not too far from the metro and everything else. it´s just not a four star hotel...maybe if they get stars for having a roof or electricity ;)
Front desk staff very helpful and friendly The drilling in the wall that started promptly at 9:00 am
The location is perfect, staff are lovely and nice relatively inexpensive restuarants near by. We booked a triple de luxe room and had to ask for extra towels etc. The third bed was a put up bed, thou relatively comfortable.
Great modern decor in st Michel
The staff were courteous and extremely helpful, rooms tidy and the beds were the most comfortable we have ever stayed in! We were in Paris for the weekend as a couple and had a fantastic stay at the hotel. Location is ideal and we would highly recommend to any friends/colleagues looking to stay in Paris. I dont like the 'room number' signs on the bedroom doors. That is literally the worst I can say about the hotel!
location and style of hotel
staff was very friendly however hotel infrastruture was not good the elevator hardly coulf git one person and room was extremely small as eell as the breakfast area
The room was compact but really well designed and stylish. The staff were really friendly and helpful. It didn't feel like just another chain hotel. The gym wasn't available which was very inconvenient for us but as it was being renovated it will be lovely when finished. It is a small space and there are no weights but good quality aerobic machines running and a cross trainer. Also there is a large park 5 mins up the road.
The staff and the vaulted breakfast room. Sites and Metro are not close. I found it a bit difficult to get to these and I have stayed in Paris many times.
location could not control the room temperature as it was fall and the individual room air conditioning had been turned off in order for the building heat to be turned on. Subsequently, the rooms became too hot.
Crisp-clean, modern design, location A mirror and a shelf in a bathroom would be useful
Wonderful area. No bar area
Clean and responsible staff, good bell staff. Very expensive given what it is. Wifi is horrible throughout hotel. 3rd party website logon problem that management had no idea about.
Staff. Clean. Location. Room a bit small. No morning coffee. No free breakfast.
not much room too small, no faciliies, ocation not as expected
Perfect location in heart of Latin district. Staff kind and courteous. Room extremely well appointed. Very clean. In the heart of it all! Nearby a HUGE park with tons of different points of interest: running track, tennis, little sailboats on a fountain for kids, kids playground, gardens and concerts.
The White Rabbit, or le Lapin Blanc, is a boutique hotel that has got everything right. Extremely efficient room layout yet still with design features that make it attractive rather than sterile. Desk staff were most welcoming, Position on St Michel just a block from St Germain cannot be better. While the price is not cheap, it is a really good price for the value received. Alice wins. Nothing.
The localization was perfect, it's vis a vis Sorbona and near Luxemburg Garden. In my triple room there was no coffe service and no ironing kit as they wrote in an offer.
Staff were exceptional throughout our stay. Rooms very clean and of a good size for Paris. Worth asking for a room with a veiw out over the skyscape of the city.
Hotel location is very good, walking distance to Ils de la Cite, close to a Metro/RER station. Rooms are very clean and bathrooms are new.
the staff was very kind and the demand for a nice view was respected.breakfast was served at very practical hours and it was very nicely located.the elevator was really nice and aristocratic. our room was not ready by 5 pm in the afternoon by a mistake and the cleaning lady did not want to do it late in the afternoon. so we spent a night in another room and then we have changed it. but the staff has offered us the breakfast in order to compensate which was kind.
Location, helpful receptionists. Had to use antiquated, tiny, scary elevator or walk up a lot of stairs. Also, the street noise at night, yelling street people and motorcycles rushing by, was pretty bad.
Hotel staff was really very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was very good. The hotel is a bit old-fashioned and the rooms are small.
Room was compact and had everything I needed. It was clean. Very good location. STaff were all congenial and pleasant. A single room that is as small as this one was can cause claustrophobia over ten days of stay. The bed was too near the window and when the weather was bad I was cold. You should offer larger rooms for singles on a longer stay. I would have been happy to pay extra but no one told me. I found it hard to hear cnn as it had a quieter audio setting than the other stations. More movies and interesting programs needed. Single people do not stay out late into the night so they some entertainment in their room for evening.
Very bad experiences I got with that particular hotel, most guest been awaked from sleep at 3:00 O'clock in the morning by a defective fire alarm systems. Most of us been gathered at the hotel reception at a cold nightwearing only a light pyjama some half dresses !!!!! Nothing in particular even they been in shortage at breakfest with french baguetteand tea spoon , incredible !!!
Excellent front desk staff, especially the pleasant, very friendly and helpful Oriental lady at the reception counter..patient too, smiles a lot ( unusual in many French hotel staff) goes the second mile for guests.Clean and central, very walkable to many "must- sees" in Paris None that we can think of ...except the room would benefit from a refitting ( especially new wall paper) to match the bathroom which was a well renovated one.
Very friendly staff. Gives a very personalised feeling during my stay.
Lovely hotel in a great location. Many restaurants, cafes and shopping. The staff was kind and courteous. Our room was extremely small but very quaint. Small room, noisy street, bar below our window
Location was excellent. Very friendly staff room was small. Room telephone system old analogue type making joint business conference calls via bridge challenging
Location and atmosphere
Location Low bed
location smaaaaall room
Staff, location, decoration, ambiance It was overpriced when I compared to similar hotels around when I took a walk
Centra nice rooms
it's a nice place yo spend several nights. wonderful friendly staff doing their best to make your visit as comfortable as possible i had an allergy on a soap with what they clean sheets
Location, location, location :) The bed is quite soft
nice breakfast deliveed to the room at no extra charge
Louis II is a perfect blend of hospitality and comfort. Every detail, from helping me set up wifi to recommending local events was given with every attention and care. I cannot compliment the staff enough who greeted me every morning by name. I breakfasted twice, a buffet set with delicious and filling food. Boiled eggs, yoghurt, cereal, toast, croissants, jams, juice and a large pot of coffee will set you up for any day in Paris. My room and indeed the hotel was spotless, comfortable and wonderfully charming and I enjoyed sleeping with the window ajar hearing the sounds of the city going to sleep and waking. Location is ideal with easy walking to the sites of Paris and the RER/Metro. Will certainly return.
The location, ideal for shopping and restaurants. Steep stair to first floor, then very cramped lift to higher floors
The staff were very very helpful and attentive.
Very good shower spray head in bathroom shower.
Superb location, and beautiful, opulent decor. I mentioned that it was a special occasion and they upgraded our room, we were over the moon!
Very friendly staff. Great atmosphere .
Until last day morning yes but last days I decide next time I will not stay there. Because of one stuff.
Very good location, cosy atmosphere Reception staff was quite arrogant and not very helpful
This is a place of high style and design, well-located and a high level of customer service and reception. Jean Yves at reception went the extra mile to reserve and change dinner reservations for us and even help with bus routes. Shower/baths are great, but can difficult for anyone with mobility issues. Standard rooms at the back are quite small and accessible only by stairs from ground level to first floor. There is a small lift beyond that for back rooms on the second and third floors. There are two nice rooms on the ground floor just off the breakfast room. Beware if you have mobility/flexibility issues, as the opening to the bath/shower can be quite small
This is a very nice small hotel located in an excellent location in Paris with all services close by. The personnel is excellent meaning friendly and always ready to assist you. The only thing not so satisfying is the size of the room. Although I booked a deluxe room, it was rather small in size.
The decor was lovely and the atmosphere very relaxed and quiet even though it is situated in the middle of Saint Germain with brilliant cafes, bars and shops all at your doorstep.
Great Hotel in the best location for the pAris left bank - all was good except the cleaning processes for our rooms were below standard....
The location was great, right off the Luxembourg gardens and Senate. On a quiet street but VERY close to a lot of bistros, bars and restaurants. The room was very small, but clean. Staff was nice. The floor we were staying on smelled like stale smoke, and the rooms also had a stale smell. Thank goodness the windows in the room opened. The breakfast we paid extra for, was below mediocre. They ran out of eggs two of the three mornings we stayed there. When we brought it up to the kitchen, calmly requesting more eggs, they huffed around and then brought like two eggs worth of scrambled eggs.
Nice hotel. Good location on the Quartier Latin. Very Quiet . Stayed on a suit - Loft. Strange smell. (Not intense but it could be sensed)
location was great the hotel staff were helpfull and kind thr room was clean the bed was very comfterbale
The staff were helpful, the hotel was quite small but smarly decorated and the room service food ( from a restaurant nearby ? ) was very good and not expensive for this area where the hotel was located . The lobby/bar areas were very comfortable with space t sit, relax and read ( lots books and magazines ! ) My ( loft ) room was a "suite" ( free upgrade ) and was lovely - except for the HUM of the airconditioning unit , very hard to sleep !
I liked the staff at the front desk. They were very freindly, helpful and went out of their way to help. We had to leave early and they really helped us out. I had to make changes in airtravel early in the morning and the night office person could not have been nicer. I will definately stay at this hotel when I return to Paris. Byron Lawler
After a very cold day wandering around Paris it was fantastic returning to a cosy room with lovely towels and an extremely comfortable bed The view from our room was of another bedroom
the room/the friedliness of personell Too hot and not enough fresh air
Convenient location and nice style in hotel and surroundings and an excellent value, especially for a nice Paris hotel.
location value for the money
The beds were the best we have found in hotels on the left bank in Paris and we have stayed at many of those
Location. Very close to Vavin metro stop. Standard room was tiny, shower difficult to not get water on floor, closet won't hold standard hangers. Worst was heating system that ran too hot all week. Only solution was opening balcony door and listening to street noise all night.
Room small and compact, good for sleeping, but not for spending other quality time. Conveniently located, near metro, great neighborhood, near many restaurants.
The easy city access. Many metro lines, almost in the centre. The elevator functioning through the room card.
Location was good Non smoking room we had smelt like a smoking room
A good hotel in a great location. But i was charged for a breakfast that i didnt have.
Very well situated.
Great location. The room was clean and well equipped Very small room for two persons
The main good thing about the place -is it's location. The shower was good and the room-space was relatively reasonable. It's Clean. Some of the stuff very nice -but for some you are just disturbing... Even in Paris -you want to sleep. At least some hours. The bed was old and used-up. It's about time to change the matress / elavator was far stoo slow -hopless to wait. / room was supposed to be "no smoking" but had a strong smoking smell /
Good value Staff had some difficulty with English. The AC worked well in one room and poorly in another.
The front desk staff were all very helpful. Small elevator and narrow hallways. Rooms are small also but manageable.
The hotel was very central and clean.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good value, plenty of choice, staff very helpful
Modern design, comfortable bed, good shower I liked everything
Hotel staff was very kind.
nice and courteous staff, location of the hotel was perfect , especially for a family with little child ( jardin de luxemburg with playground is 3 minutes away)
quiet, clean, good location Quite small for an apartment room, double bed comfortable but small and not much room to move in the bedroom. Also very small shower. Living area and kitchen were practical
Very good when travelling with baby given the kitchen facility. The staff was excellent - very nice and helpful. Location is very very good - few minutes from Boulevard St. Germain and Boulevard Saint Michel. No dislikes.
The location is very good regarding the resteraunts, the bars and being a hip location. The staff is polite and helpful The hotel is not a 4 star hotel as listed, but Appartments with 20 euro per day housekeeping service. Very small rooms like all of Paris. The reception is closed by 6 pm
Location,in-house facilities Too highly priced, poor service,no regular change of towels,no help with the luggage
nice and quiet place. Hangers in the bathroom for the towels does not exist.
Very high quality apartment - felt just like being at home
Location The concept of hte hotel is definitely nice. The execution is tired, however. Curtains ripped, very dark rooms (not enough lighting and 3 out of 6 lightbulbs in livingroom were not functioning upon arrival), old mattresses, an extremely uneven sofabed, not enough cutlery/glasses, the only drawer cabinet had 2 out of 4 drawers not functioning (storage space is already very limited for an appt for 4) and the 2 nightstands had click drawers that did not click shut anymore. No major thing, but unacceptable for a comparatively (London, Berlin) top notch price.
Excelent location, silent at night, kindness and professionalism of staff, good room size, comfort. Breakfast should be included in the room rate.
The hotel is very clean and all of the facilities have been updated. On a very pleasant, tree-lined quiet street near the Luxembourg Gardens. The room was a bit small given the (French government-awarded) 4-star rating. The muzak in the hallways is very annoying. A shower curtain would help keep the bathroom from getting flooded. Internet service should be for 24 hours, not two hours.
The location is convenient to reach RER, but there are neither shops nor good restaurants in immediate proximity. The canteen is very small, the breakfast selection is poor.
the kindness of the staff the room was too small and uncomfortable to be a "superior double".
The Relaise Saint Jaques is a very fine well run hotel close to the Sorbon university in Paris and is idealy situated close to the Latin Quarter and the splendid Luxemburg gardens, The room was splendid with a good sized bathroom, and the staff on reception and the staff in the bufet breakfast room were very friendly and helpful all the time nothing was too much trouble. nothing i did not like.
Very polite personel and the position was good.
The location and staff were great The hotel room was too hot.
friendly staff. Situation of hotel. Small selection at breakfast.
the staff were really helpful. the rooms comfortable the kettle did not work
Excellent location. Unwelcoming staf on day of arrival. LImited TV channels options. No "do not disturb" note in the room and maid entering without warning.
Good location. Nice city, nice people. Noisy lift - not too troublesome. Dodgy airconditioning, but I have met worse.
The location of the hotel was very convenient, the room was big enough. There was not a tv hall to watch the Tour de France.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was modern and clean. Very close to Notre Dame station and easy to get around the city from there.
Great location. Close to all attractions.
Repeated stay.Excellent location for our purposes. Easy access to all types of transportation.
The location in the very heart of Quartier Latin, although in a very quiet and safe street; We also liked the staff, all very professional and friendly. The size of the room: too small.
The hotel was very central, it was easy to get to most places. The rooms were clean. The hotel staff were quite friendly but not extremely helpful. The only negative thing was the organization of breakfast. The breakfast room is quite small and we had to wait for a table, but then we had to wait for it to be cleaned which took quite a while.
Location was excellent and the hotel staff was polite. Good place to crash when you're not planning to spend time at the hotel.
Comfortable beds, cleanliness and friendly staff TV in room 556 did not work properly but hotel refunded payment
Location Wifi did not work at all.
Comfortable, well-appointed room. Very helpful people at front desk. Location is convenient, a 10-15 minute walk from most anywhere you would want to go on the Left Bank.
Perfect location, friendly and helpfull staff. Quite rooms with good comfort.
Friendly, comfortable, delightful! Quite expensive for the best rooms
A little gem, spotlessly clean, bedrooms medium size & tastefully decorated, very quiet location & the staff were courteous & extremly helpful. This hotel is far superior than some of the four star hotels we have used. For a city hotel we would not hesitate to use it again. The hotel is easy for the metro, buses and rer train. There is a good selection of restaurants & patisseries close by. Nothing
Charming does not begin to describe this hotel. I prefer: "Work of Art"
It was a perfect boutique hotel experience - lovely rooms and staff went out of their way to assist. Location is ideal for tucked away gourmet French restaurants and the best shopping. Too short!
While there were hairs from previous guests in the bathroom, the tile and stainless steel was sparkling and the tub was good for soaking. Small room, small in-room safe, no place for baggage, hairs in linens and in bathroom.
Good small hotel, comfortable, friendly atmosphere, helpful staff (e.g. on tips for restaurants, with taxis etc), clean room, excellent bathroom, and brilliant location - easy walk to St.Germain, the river and the centre of Paris. Plenty of good eating or shopping within easy walking distance. Would happily use again. No downsides. Excellent location for weekend city visit, or longer.
a beautiful and lovely hotel no
st beuve is very lovely, well appointed and reasonablely priced. i will recommend it to my family and i will definately be returning. the staff was pleasant and helpful. i liked it so much
