"The only thing I liked was the care of the flight crew. One of us is a disabled passenger and they didn't give special consideration for someone who is disabled and couldn't walk to the gate nor to the seat. Our seats were in the REAR of the plane. That's no place for a disabled person. Not even a window seat. Lack of communication to the special service assistants for a request of an aisle wheelchair to get to the seat. The flight was delayed and we were sitting in the plane for over an hour to wait to exit the plane. We were informed there was lack of staff at Orlando International Airport for Frontier Airlines, and we had to wait for other staff to come from another gate to get us off the plane and get bags to baggage claim. We were waiting in Baggage Claim to retrieve our bags for over 30 minutes."

Pros: "The base price was good, but once you add all of their extras, which in any other broadline airline the price is actually more expensive, but also no WiFi so could do work"

Super rude and careless flight attendant. Asked for bathroom permission for my 3-year-old once we were at full altitude and she denied. Sure enough 2 minutes later an adult just went for it. Then as the seatbelt sign was off she was blocking the aisle with the trolley. When I asked kindly to make room, she didn’t even acknowledge that she heard my request... she did, eventually, without even looking at me. Also very slow to get the stroller and a bit slow to get the baggage but these latter issues may be airport dependent."

Pros: "The check in staff were rude, we felt like we were rushed. Frontier is a deceitful airline, they didn't tell us that the bags were SO expensive, usually an airline gives you some bag for free, nope! Carry on and checked luggage cost a ton of money. Not to mention you have to pay for seats, which is expensive! If you're travelling with someone and you don't pay for seats and you wait until the end to be assigned then you won't end up sitting beside the person you're travelling with and I must tell you the response I got from them was that they're busy and they have no time to deal with this. Then there is the flight crew, through the flight all I could hear is the flight crew talking about how they are on a waiting list and something about becoming a full attendant and every other word was accompanied by a bad word. I would file for a refund if I thought that would get me anywhere. Sorry Kayak I like you but from now on I'll be going direct to American Airlines. By the way! The CEO of Frontier is the former CEO of spirit...That alone should tell you stay AWAY."

Cons: "Airplane is new but chairs are made of plastic and very thin, they don't recline and you have very small space -- very uncomfortable. I flew from Miami to Vegas (5 hours) The plane flew at low altitude the entire way and went right through all storms just to save fuel/money. People were afraid for their lives because the plane was shaking so bad. I travel 1-2 weeks out of each month by plane for work and I am not afraid, I knew it was fine, but others had no idea and were very afraid. I know it is a cheap airline, but the real problem I had with them was they are not honest. Their website says that if you chose your seat online you have to pay, but if you do at check in it is free and they will try to keep your party together as long as there's seats available. Upon arriving at the counter they wanted to charge me to keep me and my fiancée together, otherwise she was at the front of the plane and I was all the way at the back. The plane had extra seats and we got there early to get assigned seats together but even the manager would not help me even after showing their website. He said the computer will make them charge me and there was no way around it. There's always a way around it. At the end of the day, paying for seats, all bags you check in or carry on, foods/drinks in the plane, I paid just as much as flying with a good airline such as Delta. I will never fly with them again, that is for sure."

Cons: "I've traveled consistently between 4-6 times a year for the last 15 years and this was my first trip with Frontier. It was by far the worst travel experience of my life. One of the passengers was so drunk that she threw up all over the gate agent's podium, and this passenger was still allowed on the plane. When we boarded, we had to circumvent the vomit because it hadn't been cleaned up yet. There were multiple passengers on board who brought their own alcohol, were noticeably drunk and extremely loud. I understand that this is not your crew's fault, but there was a complete lack of understanding as to how to handle the situation. The pilot scorned passengers as a whole, and noted that if people didn't calm down, he would force a landing in North Carolina. The responsible passengers such as myself not only had to tolerate the debauchery, but also felt like we would be potentially be punished for other people's bad behavior. The flight crew seemed to have no idea how to handle this situation. I don't understand why is passenger are blatantly breaking federal regulations, the crew would not do anything about it. When I attempted to check in online, literally ever seat (including middle seats, back row) had an up-charge which is simply ridiculous. the seats were small and very uncomfortable. I will never fly Frontier again. I'd pay double for a flight with another company just to avoid them."

Arrived 12:35am for a 1:19am flight and was denied check in because supposedly counter closes at 12:30am. So I was denied entry for 5 minutes? I had to pay a taxi, extra night at hotel then a fee for rescheduling flight. Ridiculous, NECER flying Frontier again! Even if tickets were free! I booked/found flight on kayak app. I would suggest kayak remove them, experience was so bad that negatively effects kayaks reputation too. Also, every other airline provides complementary beverages and snacks, NOT Frontier. Also free bag check? Nope frontier charges everything! Even a carry-on which is free everywhere else. Absurd, truly worst flying experience EVER!"

Cons: "I'm sure there's some tiny print somewhere explaining carry-ons are $45 but it should be more obvious when booking - even if you do it through a third party. It soured the rest of what was otherwise perfectly good service. Other passengerss reacted the same way. I was charged and then noticed the family next to me was charged only $40 for checked bags. The looks on their faces for having to pay for both types of bags was priceless. I mentioned the cheaper check-bag fee at the counter and she said, "Oh, but you said it was carry-on". It just felt scammy. Easy-Jet has been a discount airline for ages and they give you all the options up front so you know what you're getting into. They practically charge you for toilet paper but there are no surprises. Add the extra aggravation of LaGuardia's third world style and you end up with a frustrating day for avoidable reasons."

Cons: "I booked tickets with this airline for the first time because prices were significantly cheaper than with other airlines. However, I didn't realize I would have to pay $45 for carry on luggage, pay extra if I did want a seat in the middle, and even pay for soft drank! After factoring in all those things, it would have been a lot cheaper to use a different airline. Plus, it was by far the most uncomfortable airplane I have ever been on. No leg room, small seats that do not recline and have no cushion. Terrible experience!"

Cons: "There is a lot to complain about with this airline. I cannot comment on the comfort, food not entertainment because I missed my flight. Granted the flight missing was not the fault of the airline however I would have imagined that the staff would have told me in no way would I make my flight with the security lines the way they were. Once we made it through we ran the entire length of the airport to try and make the flight in hopes that they might delay the plane. That's is not the whole complaint because it happens. However; my bags flew with the flight I missed. The ticket agent assured us the bags would get to the destination and I could pick them once I arrived on the later flight (through a different airline). When I arrived NO employees where to be found. The "helpline" not helpful not even to tell me if the bags were there and lock and I could get them in the morning. Instead I was talk to condescending and rude, thanks to Kim in Colorado. I stayed the night over since my home is 3 hours from the airport. Next morning at 8:30 I call to speak to someone, helpline again unhelpful. Could not tell me when someone would be there or anything about my bags. I show up the airport. No staff. I waited for an hour and half for a ticket agent. Once I posted on their social media page that I was unhappy that person told me when they would be there and their hours. NOT THE HELPLINE but I already stood around picked up my bags and was out of there. I will never fly this airline. They nickel and dime you and have terrible customer service."

Cons: "They wanted,discharge me $40 dollars for a carry-on, let's just start there. So in addition to whatever I would have paid to check a bad now carry on items are 40 bucks? Get real. Next there's the issue of the flight itself which was horrible. The seats were no better than plastic folding seats you would buy at target and about as comfortable. Frontier's idea of first class is what every other airline would call coach. There is so little leg room or room in front of you that I couldn't lay my head down on the tiny little excuse for a folding tray. Additionally none of the chairs leaned back. Not that they could as you would be in the lap of the person behind you.so I had to sleep on a red eye for 4 hours sitting straight up on hard plastic, crammed into a row like sardines. I will never fly frontier again."

Cons: "I've flown frontier before and I have never had a problem. Tried to check in for our flight 30min before it took off as we were running late. The rep who was working the desk (young female, approx. 20yrs old) gave us the worst guest service I have ever received. I did not understand why we could not check in, nor attempt to board our flight, although I understood it is our fault for running late. We did not need to check any bags as we were carrying them on. The woman behind the desk only kept saying you missed your flight and was very disrespectful when our friend tried to talk to her saying "I don't know why your even trying to talk to me, I told you I am done with you." I work in the guest service industry and have never been treated or talked to with such disrespect. I would have understood if she was apologetic and explained to us WHY we could not board or make our flight, compared to being rude and rolling her eyes constantly. I will not be flying frontier again I can avoid it."

Cons: "The flight attendant was laughing during the safety speech, which was a little discomforting if you like to feel as if you may make it alive. If you like to not move your legs around or not be able to recline slightly while in an air plane, then this is your airline. The flights are cheap but they forgot to tell you they charge for one carry on! You might as well fly with a legitimate company and not end up paying the same price if not more because of all the "fine print". The saying goes "buy cheap, get cheap" but this airline is a little out of control."

Cons: "After adding up all of the hidden fees with the "low cost" of the flight, it all came out to MORE than I would have paid if I had booked a flight with another carrier!. As ad DEPENDENT of an active duty military member, I NEVER have to pay for checked luggage, much less a carry on! Once I got over having to pay and additional $150 for luggage, I board the plane to find extremely uncomfortable seats with half of a tray table, all I could do was laugh. The joke was totally on me!!!! For a flight that was over 3 hours long, it was NOT WORTH ANY OF IT!!! I didn't do the research that I should have, and that is totally on me. Fool me once, but NEVER AGAIN."

Cons: "-$40 fee for personal bag that was slightly over regulation -one hour delay PLUS 2 hours stuck on runway in the airplane without access to water nor could we stand up out of our chairs for bathroom -finally when they were serving food and beverage only paying passengers had first access to food and water even if the crew had to walk all the way to the back and then back to the front to serve and charge them, it took about 45 minutes until they started serving water (of which the second cup of water they needed to charge for supposedly although we got "lucky" and they gave us a free second little glass of water)"

And it would be a two hour flight. However we waited another hour on the runway with NO updates!!! Just sitting on a plane, on a flight that was already late, was very frustrating. Frontier staff should really work on better communication. They also had an elderly woman pay $60 for her carry on. They could have waived the fee, she was elderly and she stated she wasn't aware that she had to pay for her carry on. It would have been a nice gesture when the flight was delayed."

Unable to check in online because their website was working so they charged me extra at the airport desk. The people really have no interest in helping you out which is only reflective of the upper management. For a low fare airline, it's actually pretty expensive and very unreliable. I will get my own pilot's license before I ever have to consider flying with these people again. Anyone can handle cheap travel as long as it's cheap. This is cheap travel that ends ups costing way more than American airlines or jetblue. And try putting a price on losing an entire day waiting for them to fix the plane."

Cons: "We waited on the tarmac for 44 minutes waiting fir a gate after taking off 30 minutes late. Then the baggage didn’t come out and I was stuck holding my baby for 2 hours waiting for the stroller to come out."

Cons: "My son, 17 year old was supposed to fly by himself. We left our home at 4am, At 6:00 he got to the counter and the lady said he couldn't check in because he was 10 minutes late. He explained that it took us longer than expected to get to the airport because of the weather, They didn;t let him check in or take the plane. And to make things even worst, he plane was not on time. They left about 50 mnutes late!. It is 8pm and my son is not in Ft Lauderdale yet. We had to buy another ticket, (of course it was not a Spirit ticket). I would have understood if the doors to the plane were already close, but people were not even on the plane yet. My son could have taken his 6:30am flight (which actually left almost an hour later) if the Spirit people had been a little flexible and caring"

Cons: "This was my first time flying Spirit. I didn't realize that you had to pay for a single checked bag, and pay even more for carry-on bags. I also didn't know that if you don't check-in online, you have to pay to check-in at the airport, and it is cheaper to pay for your checked and carry-on bags online. I didn't know that I couldn't select my seats in advance without being charged another fee. Having my seat randomly assigned if I don't pay this fee is stupid. I also didn't know that there were no free snacks and drinks on the flight. I just wanted a cup of ice water and was told I have to pay $3 for a bottle water! The line at BWI for Spirit to check bags was VERY LONG AND VERY SLOW. I got to the airport 3 hours before my flight and just made it in time. Several of the machines at the counter were broke and at times it seemed like only one person was working to check bags. I will rethink the "cheap" Spirit flight next time I fly and consider other airlines, especially if I am checking bags."

Our flight was only delayed and we reached our destination just a few hours late. FULL DISCLOSURE: Props to Spirit for sending us an unsolicited voucher for a free anywhere flight ticket. I went from saying I'd never fly again to I can't wait until my next trip. Cons: "EVERYTHING EXCEPT THE CREW. First, I show up two hours early for my flight only to find out they cancelled it. I was told I could take a flight the same night or the next morning for the same time. I chose that same night. As me and about thirty other people waited at our terminal gate I started getting worried about thirty minutes prior to our flight and there was no attendant at our gate and NO plane! About twenty minutes before our flight took off this kid jumps up and says that the airline has changed our terminal and he had just gotten an email about it. Our tickets said the terminal was the one we were waiting at. And I had been at the airport since 8:00 am. So if they would have made an announcement about my flight changing terminals I would have heard it. Extremely frustrating and exhausting."

Pros: "I received a phone call from Spirit representative John who left a message stating that my departure flight time has changed and to call back. Upon vsll back I spoke with s female (did not get her name) who told me there will be s two hour delay, flight leaves Baltimore at 9:24 pm. Also told me to go back to website to print nee boarding pass and there will not be a 2 nd charge for the seat. When I logged back in around 6:40pm, (extended my workday so I didn't wait around at the terminal), there were no changes to the original departure time for the flight. So, I called Spirit again, spoke with Todd - I'D#41987 who said, no - flight 443 leaves at 7:42pm! Hence, I requested s refund and cancelled. There was no way that I could get to the airport in time for the flight. I didne request a Saturday morning flight because at that point, I lost total faith that there wouldn't be issues on the return flight from Florida. I will never, NEVER again make any travel plans that include Spirit. All they are interested in is signing people up for the credit car offering bonus fly poinft??? Duh!"
Cons: "See above..."

Pros: "The only plus about my flight was the fact that it was inexpensive in relation to the amount of time I had to purchase a flight. Compared to other carriers this price point was at least half of what everyone else had available. It was a little out of the way for me to drive from WDC to BWI to catch the flight as well."
Cons: "The service from not only customer service on the phone, but the service of all the staff members EXCEPT one lovely lady at FLL who made sure I was in the correct line out of many lines. Everyone was snarky and rude and seemed like the last thing they wanted to do was be there dealing with customers. The plane was clean but the bench seating and back rests for the chairs were very uncomfortable. I am about 5' 10" and I felt very constrained in the seats, as well as the fact that I could not recline. I guess I could have bought the 'big comfy seats' at the front of the plane but then I also could have bought the flight from the other airlines -- thats where Spirit gets you, you think you are paying for a cheaper flight but in reality you are voiding yourself of what would be normal amenities on any other airline. Finally on the day we were coming back home, the flight was delayed about 3 hours. I got the initial email from Spirit but when I checked google flights and flight tracker there was no delay. Finally decided to call Spirit customer service only to be connected with someone who was out of the country most likely was somewhere in eastern Europe according to her accent. I had a very hard time understanding her and it seemed like instead of answering my questions she would read whatever was the expected prompted answer -- which left me without an answer. She also could not confirm that the flight was delayed even though the multiple delay emails were continuing to come in. Luckily after every email we kept on calling because some of the delays were listed to depart around 1.50AM (mind you this is a flight that was supposed to leave at 8.30PM the evening before). I understand that the airlines cannot do anything about weather, but I believe the delays could have been handled better. If I were younger and I didnt have so many responsibilities, I would most likely fly Spirit again."

Pros: "There was nothing I liked about this flight."
Cons: "The flight was 5 hours delayed, apparently this happens a lot. They didn't offer any accommodations, they were extremely rude and when we finally got on the plane, the flight itself was terrible. They also tried to make me pay for my bag, even after the huge delay. Worst airline ever, pay the extra money and choose a safe airline!!!! In the end, spirit is actually more money and through experience everyone working through spirit has been nothing but RUDE!"

Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "The tickets were cheap and I should have known there was a catch. I wish I would have spent the extra money and flew with another airline. First of all, they charge $52 dollars to check a back and $55 to carry on your luggage. So I spent $110 dollars additional for my luggage alone. THEN, they charge you for non alcoholic beverages and water which are usually free on other airlines. Lastly, my flight back was delayed three hours due to "maintenance issues'. All the passengers I spoke to were "first time" flyers and I realized that's how they scam people into purchasing their tickets. Then once you fly one time, they nickel and dime you to death because Spirit Airline is horrible and they know you will more than likely NEVER fly with them again. If you've never flown with SPIRIT, don't waste your money or time. Pay the extra and fly any other airline. I plan on telling everyone I know to NEVER EVER fly Spirit and hopefully they will spread the word."

Pros: "smoothest landings ever in both directions! Friendly staff"
Cons: "Unclear or hidden fees I was unaware of. Had travelled with spirit several years ago and it was great! Free coffee and donut as well as blankets available for use and free luggage check. A friend told me about check in fees baggage fees etc, so I was able to avoid them but would have been very surprised had I not know"

Cons: "I was asked to change my seat from 29A to 3E to accommodate a family who wanted to sit together. I was told that 3E was a better seat. 3E turned out to be a nightmare. A row away was a child who screamed for 75% of the flight but that wasn't the worst part. 3E was situated between a man and a woman who must have weighed 450 pounds! I literally had half of a seat for the entire flight. I really feel that I should be reimbursed because of how uncomfortable I was forced to fly for the entire flight. A person of that size should not be squeezed into a row of three seats."

Pros: "I will say it was on time, maybe even early."
Cons: "I had heard bad things about Spirit, and I just attributed it to their piecemeal charging. Having flown substantially, I've accepted that as where things are headed. Though I will say I was surprised they charge you a different price online for a carry-on, and continually increase at different steps. So $45 online to add a carry-on to $110 while boarding. Like I said, that doesn't bother me so much. The seats are the most uncomfortable. I can't believe this is modern cushioning. And when I asked for a pillow, offering to pay, the flight attendant literally laughed aloud and said, "This is Spirit." So even the employees know how bad this airline is."

Pros: "We arrived safely."
Cons: "It was shocking to print our tickets and only then, at the airport, be told that each carry on bag costs $55. To check a bag is $52 apiece. The plane was delayed about 35 minutes which apparently is normal according to other flyers. There are no complimentary beverages or snacks. The seats are small with very little leg room. None of this information is readily available on Spirit's website. I bought our tickets through kayak and it was not readily available there either. I definitely would have paid more to be able to have carry on bags, more comfortable seats, and to be on time. I am already bitter knowing we have to pay $170 more for our bags on our upcoming return flight."

Pros: "Clever script for the safety prezo"
Cons: "Kayak, can you let first time Spirit flyers know that nothing is included with the ticket price but the seat and your book/handbag"

Pros: "Nothing - this was the most uncomfortable plane I've ever flown in."
Cons: "I was shocked upon entering this plane - it was the least comfortable, most creepy plane I've ever boarded and flown in. The seats were crammed in as close together as possible. The seats themselves were rigid, with a hard back and little padding, did not recline at all, had only a tiny tray table the size of a large cell phone, and instead of a seat back pouch there were just a few elastic bands. I put my water bottle inside the elastic bands and a flight attendant told me 'those document retention straps are not for your water bottle'. I was not impressed. The 'unbundlers' branding effort that Spirit makes did not in any way convince me that I was getting a better value. It was also a huge annoyance to have them attempting to sell us spirit airlines credit cards for the last 20 minutes of the flight."

Pros: "Thank god it was a relatively short flight, and the passengers on board were friendly."
Cons: "All the additional fees, their website is glitchy and the customer service agents weren't very knowledgeable. I wouldn't fly them again unless I absolutely have to."

Cons: "Seats were like sitting on bricks. The airline nickles and dimes you for everything. Website is terrible. Everything is an add on and it is hard to find pricing for the add ons. If they could charge for seat belts and air, they probably would. Never again!"

Pros: "I liked nothing."
Cons: "Spirit delayed the flight and cancelled late in the afternoon....luckily I was able to get a flight back through American Airlines for cheaper and no hidden $55 baggage fees....never riding Spirit ever again."

Pros: "Timely boarding and take-off, flight time was even a bit shorter than advertised. You pay for just what you want or need- perfect!"

Pros: "The only thing good was the crew but I was sleep most of the flight."
Cons: "I was in one of their new planes and the seat were so small that everyone was leaning on each other, good thing I was sitting next to my husband. They charged you for everything. They charge for carry on baggage, checked baggage, picking your seat online, sign up for their reward card and printing your ticket in the airport. Yes they charged $10 to print a ticket. I will never fly with them again."

Pros: "Absolutely nothing"
Cons: "Got charged $65 for a small carry on because I did not realize that any airline charged for carry on items. Boarded the plane after paying my disgustingly high fee at which point they said were on a two hour delay, and made us sit in our seats for 2 hours on the plane, waiting to take off. Did not receive any kind of complementary beverages or snacks on this 5 hour trip that was scheduled to take 2 hours. Had the most turbulent and stressful flight of my life with extremely rude flight attendants. I will never fly spirit airlines again."

Pros: "The staff was nice"
Cons: "We were 4 hours delayed seats not comfortable $70 for bags my ticket was only $80! No anything for the inconvenience. Food vouchers nothing"

Cons: "Flight seems cheap at 1st but by the time they charge you a fee for everything (including to sit next to your travel companion, carry on, etc. etc, it became more expensive than if I booked with a "real" airline. Seats/tray tables were smaller than usual. Flight crew was rude and Latino attendant giving announcement had such poor English and spoke so fast we thought he was actually speaking Spanish. I'm glad we didn't have an emergency or I'm sure we would have had a fee for oxygen masks or life vests before we could use these. I will NEVER fly on this low budget scam airline again!"

Cons: "They allowed us to board when it turned out they knew plane was not ready to go. We left 3 hours late and t hey kept us in the dark for a long time."

Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Seats were cramped, flight delayed 4 hours, no outlets on the plane, a ridiculous price for wifi and after contacting them to reprimand us because their delay made us miss our scheduled bus, they wouldn't do anything for us. Is this airline in the business of travel and providing a professional service or is it in the business to make a profit"

Pros: "The staff is polite and friendly"
Cons: "I don't like how there is so much small print all over the n place. I purchased my tickets and then was forced to pay for a seat, then has to pay to just ship my bag, and once I got to the airport had to pay again because my bag was 50lbs. I don't feel the airline was very forward about thier prices and making the process seemless and convenient. I feel it is a bate and switch. By time I was finished a $100 trip turned into $230 including luggage. That is ridiculous because it was tagged on slowly. Just let people know from the beginning this is the price. I feel it is better to just pay for the convenience of knowing up front about the fees with Southwest and being done. You have to understand people and the psychology of your customers. Have them pay the fee upfront and they know what they are spending vs. Nickel and diming them will earn you more loyal customers who will return. Your reputation is ruined and you may be able to salvage a few. However, it was 4 of us together and none of us will return to your airline. We never fly anything but Southwest and we saw your prices and opted to give you a try. NEVER AGAIN and we will let others we know about our experience."
