KAyak needs to label pick-up location - Downtown Denver vs Airport
Cons: KAyak does a terrible job identifiying location pick -up. I stated airport and got downtown and paid $150 more at the airport because I didn't have the correct location. This was my first time flying to Denver, and I thought it would be easy using KAyak, but I was disappointed.

great, first time experience
Pros: The line was long but when it was our turn, the attendant was very nice and helpful. We ended up with a little upgrade which made our experience even better.

Horrible Customer Serivce
Pros: The van was nice
Cons: but i didnt want a van, i wanted a compact car. Also waiting in line for a rental for over an hour at 11pm at night is pretty ridiculous considering that i had made a reservation previously. Shouldnt they staff accordingly judging by how many reservations are made? there was about 40 people in line with 2 workers that were averaging 15 min per customer. I wont be renting through Avis again.

Cruising in Comfort
Pros: Clean 2017 Chevy. Exactly the car I needed and was Available.
Cons: Overall I am Very Satisfied. Nothing Bad to Say. I Had A Great Experience.

Pros: Nice clean car
Cons: The agent trying to up sell me on a larger car that I didn't reserve and didn't need. REALLY annoying. Just give me the economy car I booked!!

Pros: Fast and curtious service with the rental process
Cons: This is one of two bad reviews I've ever written.l, and am by my own standards a forgiving customer. In this case, the car was not well maintained. Low tire pressure in the front drivers side, broken windshield wiper blade, faded dash, squeaky passenger door, and the change oil soon and a (!) type check engine light on. (To give them the benefit of the doubt, I assumed they were the same message). Drop off was understaffed. I won't go Avis next time.

Super service @ AVIS downtown Denver
Pros: Downtown AVIS should not be overlooked when renting a vehicle while visiting the Denver area. They are very friendly and professional, and not too far from the central train stop downtown (walking distance). A train ride between the airport to downtown is only $9 each way.

Pros: On airport rental
Cons: Pushed the fuel agreement, bring back the car full and we'll change your bill back to what was originally stated. Dirty car at pick-up. Picked up inside, filthy outside, windows not cleaned, etc Also, low tire warning light was on at pick-up. Could they have at least checked the air pressure in the tires? . Ran out of car check sheets to mark down issues with the car prior to leaving the lot. Found issues that the exit associate had to write on a piece of paper to give to me to prove on return I had not done any damage. Won't be renting from Avis again at the Denver airport.

Final price is hidden
Pros: One way rental possible but the final price for the rental came up to almost twice of what kayak web site indicated and no I did not read the fine print where it most likely was indicated. All I ask is a fair price up front.

Pros: The agents at the Denver International Airport drop off went above and beyond. The car was nice, but they are what made this rental an excellent experience. Kudos to them!!!

One Way Rental
Pros: I needed a 'one way' rental because my flight out of the Denver airport was so delayed that I could drive home faster than waiting for the next flight. Avis was the only company that provided 'one way' rentals. Thank goodness!

Car is good but the service is terrible
Pros: The Ford Focus was new, clean, and full of the latest features. It also drives and rides very well. Plenty of oomph to go 75 miles per hour on I-25.
Cons: The rental line was long. The service center was drab. The return was chaotic. The trainee assigned to handle the return did not know what she was supposed to do and there was no one to help her. I never received an email receipt. They also tagged on a fuel charge even though I made sure the tank was full before the car was returned. They did refund the fuel charge after I complained. I won't go back for a long time.

Slow service, BE CAUTIOUS WHEN RESERVING FOR THE A
Pros: Ultimately, they were able to accommodate me after a reservation error. Shuttle service is prompt and convenient
Cons: I made the reservations on Kayak. I specifically put in Denver Airport for the location, but the "deals" that came up were actually for a different address in downtown Denver. We took the shuttle from the airport to the Avis location and the line was out to the door. After waiting close to an hour in line (which proceeded to extend out the door and into the road about 10 minutes after we got in line) I gave the clerk my name and she said that I did not have a reservation. She looked it up by my reservation number and told me that it was for the downtown location and that it was about a $60 cab ride to get there. She even told me that this happens all the time.. They did get me a vehicle, but it cost me $140 more than what I was expecting to pay.

Pros: Car was clean, comfortable
Cons: Ridiculously long wait in line, even though there were plenty of employees standing around. Employee that helped me did not communicate where I needed to go to get my car which resulted in me standing outside for 20 minutes before I could find someone to ask. (Others were dealing with this same situation at the same time). I was told I had to sign the gas option and pay for it...then had to jump through hoops to get it removed. Really bad experience overall, so many headaches.

Dnever International Airport Avis
Pros: Decent vehicle, ran nice.
Cons: There were 75 people in line to get a car when our shuttle arriver at the lot. That is absolutely rediculous! The long wait means no more Avis rentals at Denver International.

pickup location error
Pros: Avis upgraded the car for me
Cons: I searched for cars to rent from the Denver Airport. Kayak found a rate cheaper than anywhere else. What I didn't notice was that it was from a downtown location. Fortunately Avis gave me a rental from the airport. Unfortunately the rate was double what it was from the downtown location.

Pros: The staff was kind and the car was comfortable.
Cons: Was a considerable wait in line. All cars at DIA are ridiculously expensive to rent. We paid approx $2000 to rent an SUV for one week. I would appreciate it if Kayak and others of influence would put pressure on DIA to offer more reasonable rates.

Cons: The Denver International Airport Avis is terribly run. They lost the SUV I was supposed to rent twice since they have no formal way of tracking cars in their lot. It took about 3 hours to finally get my vehicle.

Pros: Picking up the car, filling out the paperwork was easy, quick.
Cons: On the day of return, we had called to ask if it would be ok that we returned by 1pm when we initially said noon and we were told that would be no problem. We were coming back to Denver from a 3 hour drive in the mountains; however when we arrived at 1:15 pm, we were charged for another full day!!!! The guy helping us was rude and short with us. The manager wasn't around at this time so we called back an hour later, she said she assumed we knew there would be a late charge; why would anyone assume that when being told it is no problem; that is something that should be stated when the question is being asked. Poor customer service, didn't feel taken care of to want to use them again.
