I booked a ford transit and when I got to the rental counter they told me no I only booked a standard minivan. So the vehicle was falsely advertised and had to end up paying an extra 200$ to upgrade the vehicle and 75$ for tollls. I’m extremely disappointed with the quality of the service. This is the second time this same this has happened. I prob won’t be using the app again to book a rental car.Reviewed Jul 24 2026

Not being ripped off on extras I didn’t ask for, these charges forced me to ring up twice to get them removed then told when returning the car it’s not refundable so a battle but I WON Also the website and online order from did not state I must provide my driving license making me return to my sons house the return to airport after paying a $65 Uber fee.Reviewed Apr 29 2026

Agent was dishonest and insisted that I needed to add insurance by Florida state law. Argued with me for almost 5 minutes. I needed the car so I conceded. Then called customer service to address the issue and they could not help me. Will never rent from Thrifty or Dollar again.Reviewed Apr 10 2026

Long lines at mco with only 2 agents trying to sell u everything under the sun. Drop off was strange. U drop it off at mco and they only indpect it when u are are gone and send u an email 24 hrs after saying it was no damage. What if they said there was damage ? How can u dispute it ? This is the third time that I have paid for a car that the rental car company classifies as an intermediate, only to be given a compact or sub-compact SUV. this time it was a Kia Soul that according to the thrifty website is a compact car, not a intermediate, but you already know that. Your counter agents are well versed in attempting to upsell the client on insurance and toll road transponders. Under NYS law neither are required and I had my own transponder with me so I accepted neither. NYS and I are fully aware of these upsell techniques.Reviewed Apr 28 2025
