The ease of getting checked out and into my vehicle. I didn't like the fees and insurance arrangements that were disclosed at the last minute before agreeing to the rental. They also did not have the car I reserved for (which I understood might be different), and it appeared to be an effort to push me into a more expensive upgrade which they did.Reviewed Jan 8 2024

NEVER AGAIN NEVER!!!! The employee at the counter is just the beginning of the worst rental experience you can ever imagine. I was forced to buy insurance even though my credit card provide coverage in case of an issue with any rental car. Then I was requested flight information even though, as a student, I am allowed to stay in the country without having a flight back; they make you feel uncomfortable. Finally, the worst is yet to come. We had a nail puncture, and they charged us 200$ for a tire replacement without any explanation when a fix would have cost 60$; to finish up the bill, they had mistakenly doubled the tax and fee.Reviewed Oct 26 2023

I would have appreciated more transparency around the eventual cost of the vehicle. I was initially quoted $290 when I reserved it, and was told that would be the amount when I picked it up. Alas, I was presented with a daily "Geo Zone" fee— something I wasn't notified of when renting the car. I dropped the car off after requesting an additional day (I tried to do so at pick-up, but was told I'd have to call to extend), and was charged a total of $457. Additionally, I thought I would be renting the car from ACE, a company I've heard of, but was surprised to learn that I'd actually be renting it from Drivo (a company I've never heard of). I was also told I could receive $25 back, if I submitted a Google review, prior to even leaving the lot with the car The lack of transparency made me very uncomfortable. In the future, I'll stick to (albeit sometimes pricey) companies I know, like Hertz.Reviewed Sep 21 2023

Pros:NothingCons:The manager at Ace was very rude and had me on the do not rent list for keeping the car a few days longer than the reservation. Which I was in fact in contact with them everyday I kept the car and was being charged everyday that I had it over the time reserved. My trip was extended so I extended my rental. People do it all the time. I was not given my money back that I pre paid towards the rental when I made the reservation.Reviewed May 28 2021

Cons:Really far to get to from JFK - after you take the train to the rental car area you then need to call a shuttle to be picked up. On the return we just threw the shuttle driver $20 and he dropped us off directly at the terminal which was much easier.Reviewed Apr 26 2021

Pros:First off staff was very rude, second you cannot get a hold off anyone even with the corporate phone number and third my rental had broken down on me and after hour's of trying to get a hold of someone they said I would have to tow the car on my expense to their location so that I may yet another vehicle.
