There were lots of fitness classes to choose from and the spa area itself was really nice. We ate the breakfast buffet which was good with lots of healthy choices like salmon and capers and steel cut oatmeal. The location on the beach was wonderful. We have stayed at many luxury resorts which were less $ and this one just didn't meet up with those standards. Staff was good but not great. Rooms were nice but not fabulous, you get the picture.... You are really paying a lot for the spa /fitness classes and since that wasn't our main purpose we only took one class so didn't take advantage of this. We did have a massage which was a lot more money than other 5 star hotels we've stayed at, but was good.
We were in town for a long weekend and had an amazing time at the resort. The beach, the spa, the service all five stars. Since every room has a kitchen, the grocery store across the street makes it so convenient. Taking an Uber down to Miami Beach takes 15 minutes so you have the best of everything. Definitely staying there again next trip to Miami. I wish the pool stayed open later but with the ocean right there no worries. Then again none of the hotels pools stay open past dusk, at least on the strip.

The hotel was in contact via text and email starting the day before our arrival. Staff was very efficient and friendly. We were so excited to be let into our room at 10 am to clean up and rest for a lunch meeting with a local relative. We had a beautiful lunch on the patio looking out toward the ocean. Our room far exceeded our expectations. Very nice! I would definitely recommend and return this hotel.
nice hotel. ANTS in our room. Faucet in bathroom so loose it almost came off. Went to the front desk, to ask for the M.O.D. the lady went into the Staff Only office. Elizabeth, came out to assist me. I asked, if she could have someone fix the faucet and get rid of the ANTS. She told me she would. (no sorry for the inconvenience) When we returned from shopping about 2 hours later. I asked Elizabeth, if things had been taken care of. She, told me yes. They fixed the faucet. However, we still had ANTS. I went to the Publix Grocery store, around the corner and purchased some RAID Ant killer, and sprayed the room myself. My wife and are retired, and have traveled many places and numerous hotels. This is a first for ANTS. When checking out at the front desk. They, never asked, how was your stay or hope your stay was good, pleasant or anything, just checked out.
This hotel is impressive from the moment you step inside, the design screams class and comfort. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay, our room and view were equally delightful and inviting, the fitness room had amazing views, the adult only roof pool and hot tubs make for a perfect getaway from kids. We will definitely stay here again. The additional charges like parking were a bit higher than other hotels, but not enough that it would stop us from visiting again.
We got a good rate for this hotel. We did a work event at night and the pricing was reasonable. The staff was super friendly. The hotel lobby is gorgeous. The rooms are clean and spacious. A standard room has a sleeping sofa and two bathrooms, so you can easily stay here with the whole family. Per night we had to pay a mandatory resort fee ($25) and it included towels, water, beach chairs/umbrella, etc. The upstairs pool is for adults only (with stunning ocean views). Both pool areas are well run. It's conveniently located at the beach. The gym also has ocean view. It's clean, modern and spacious and has quite a lot of equipment (for a hotel gym). The restaurant close to the upstairs pool was poorly run. We went there for lunch. The food was excellent, but the portions were small. The waiter was friendly, but not focused and kept walking away and it was a struggle to get the drink and food order in for the entire group.
Staff was outstanding - particularly te front desk team! Restaurant menu was limited and the food was below par.

The bartender was extremely informative, professional and mad very good drinks. Happy hour was nice. The elevator broke and we were stuck for 15 minutes. Also the towel rack in the bathroom broke, however it was promptly replaced. I was incorrectly charged for room flip flops, it was also promptly corrected.

The cuisine at the restaurants was delicious. The pool was beautiful and the beach access a plus. The rooms were well decorated and the staff friendly. The location was also great. The rooms were small and there were not black out curtains. So, between the "thin walls" (hearing the cleaning staff banging around in the morning) and the light coming into our room, it was hard to sleep much past 7am. The price for drinks was extremely high and I did not appreciate having 19% added for gratuity before I even had a chance to evaluate the service.

Wonderful posh luxurious hotel in south beach Miami. lovely pool with around the clock bar service. welcoming staff ,everything is ready for you to enjoy your stay. we left few things during a quick check out ,they sent them back to us ASAP. 1- painfully there is not even a penny complementary stuff you need to pay for even a glass of water!2- No information regarding the inside USA calls (they call it long distance calls and the price kills! even if you call someone in next door state)

Very friendly staff, beautiful pool. Our first room was very dirty and second room (which was an upgrade) was still not great. Couches were stained, dirty sheets, bathtub and bathrobes. pool bar is expensive.

Booked a Bayview Studio, for a family of four (2 kids). Excellent views to downtown Miami and the Bay. Very spacious room, with interesting decor. Excellent restaurant, fusion of of Cuban with Asiatic cuisine. Very good pool area, too (swimming pool heated). Very friendly personnel in the restaurant and the reception, as well as the housekeeping staff. Ideal place to get the relaxing and glamorous atmosphere of the city. The room's door was poorly isolated, therefore there were some noises coming from the corridor (we stayed at the hotel at a weekend with parties organized each evening/night). Parking is exclusively valet (charging an quite high daily rate), with little choices for alternative parking around. The minibar is a kind of a mini-in-room-shop (selling T-shirts, souvenirs, toiletry, etc.). No free WiFi.
We loved the location, the view from the pool area - sunsets were amazing. Loved the unusual, different decor of the hotel; staff was very friendly. Check in was a big disorganized but still ok. Biggest complaint was the high price of the room that included basically just the room. Additional $40/night for parking; additional 'resort fee' which we have yet to figure out what that covered as the only 'resort feature' was the pool and most hotels include that in their overall room fee. We had a king suite and it had a full kitchen; however, you had to RENT dishes and utensils and even dish towels. That is unheard of in my opinion. Any hotel I have ever stayed in that provided a kitchen also provided basic plates/utensils/dish towels. LOVELY hotel but overpriced for sure.

The place is in a extraordinary location, is very clean and the staff is awesome The doors are so noisy you can listen when the people or the staff cleaning the rooms are around ,the bathroom is a mess with the water all over the floor if you need an umbrella in the beach you need to pay extra you only receive a seat and a towel
Nice hotel and good design When I arrived they only had 1 bed in my room. I had called weeks beforehand to make sure this was not going to happen. I even paid an upgrade fee to get a room with 2 beds since I was on a business trip with a colleague. When they said they only had one bed, they said it was my fault because I used a third party site to book. The hospitality was very poor. They didn't' even make the arrangements to get us a cot.
The hotel has superb location, cool architecture, excellent restaurant. Rooftop pool is so perfect if you, for some reason cannot make it to the beach. Haveto mention the staff that at all times where so attentive and friendly. Will easily consider this establishement for my next stay in Miami Beach. First floor rooms are slightly disturbed by the nearby lounge room, having live music in the evenings. Ask for rooms on second floor and above or ask for earplugs if you are in bed early.

Clean and well located This hotel wants to be big but falls flat on so many points. For one is loud come night they place a night club on premises with out insulating sound proof , results you can't sleep. They play it big but fall flat in making you feel like your in a lux hotel.
I've stayed at almost every high end hotel in South Beach and the Gale/Kaskades has been by far the best experience. The property, amenities, and most importantly the staff was always helpful and a pleasure to interact with. We will definitely be back soon! I have read the reviews below and wanted to provide insight: yes there is a nightclub on premise, so you do hear some bass around 11:30pm-3am on Saturdays. But you've gotta take into consideration, you're in South Beach, it's a loud vibrant city. You have some music/noise every where on the strip.
Gale was very sexy and overall just a beautiful hotel. I loved the design and even the hallways were sexy. The room was awesome and very quiet which was a plus. I also like how the staff is very friendly and even sent a text to ask if I needed anything to make my stay better. I will definitely stay there again! The ice machine was on the lobby level. But others than that no complaints at all. This is an excellent hotel.

The hotel is very sexy modern Art Deco type decore. Full amenities Bar and restaurant on site roof top pool and access to the beach lounge chairs. I would recommend to out of towners and locals looking for a sexy getaway. The hotel has a Collins Ave address yet the vallet is really on James St. A side street a little confusing and having to circle the block a few times battling south beach traffic was not a highlight.
Loved ALMOST everything about this hotel....GORGEOUS desig- modern yet comfortable (I would like to hire their designer for my entire home), staff (was treated like a king at breakfast on the patio), ambience, location, restaurant, rooftop pool (jaw dropper). Even the music playing in the elevator was "choice"! The only slight disappointment was the room itself. It was severely lacking in furniture and closet space. It was surprisingly sparse. Zero counter space on which to put anything. There was definitely room for a small dresser and a few chairs. Hopefully someone will read this because I'm 100 % certain I'm not the only guest that has felt this way. (The marble bathroom, however, was beautiful with a seductive shower that lured me in for at least 20 minutes! Sorry green people!)

The Hotel Victor is located right in the middle of fun Biking, Bikinis, boozing and dancing till dawn but and what a big butt South Beach has, bring your money, valet $40 a night drinks there magic number is $20 a drink and 20% added to everything courtesy of the people that don't know how to tip... So bad service is the norm because they get paid ether way. But no were on Earth will see the eclectic mix of people just wanting to have a good time, then in South Beach Nothing Works when you pay $300 a night and cant take a shower because the shower is plugged FAIL. Or go to have a soak in the Roman tub until you turn it on and it spits nasty bits of the last people that used it out FAIL Or the Ac vents are so plugged that it took 2 maintenance people 2 days to get it right FAIL. And the worst part is they have your money because you used a new service and paid up front wont do that again FAIL FAIL FAIL. Spent $1000 dollars in 2 day on room and did not get to enjoy it Priceless NOT!!!

Room was setup well. TV install on wall was slick & well-done. Free breakfast each morning was convenient and saved us money (croissants, muffins & high-class coffee). Pool & view were unbeatable. Nice rooms, great staff They made us pay a resort fee per night that was not optional. Unfortunately it rained our entire trip, so we could not use the beach chairs or towels, but I was still charged anyway. ALSO. There is no pool. It is very misleading because it stated there was, but it is not built yet.
Nothing I've stayed in hotels for the past 25 years. This was one of my worst experience. My room had 2 queen sized beds and it was the smallest room I've ever seen. After fitting 2 queen beds there was no space left to even walk. Smallest side tables which can not be used for anything. Small closet, the doors of which won't open. Miniscule bathroom. They charge $10 resort fee per day which includes towels and beech chairs. When I asked for extra towels, the front desk lady sternly mentioned "you have already taken 4 (when I had taken only 2 and wanted 2 more) and refused to give anymore). Jose at The front desk was very helpful and always smiling otherwise this is a rip off. No pool, awful drinks and nothing else I would recommend. Stay away from this place. I had horrible experience. Hope you don't!!!

The rooms were beautifully appointed The hotel was under construction which we knew and expected. That was not a problem. But the service was terrible and the service people even a bit rude, The common places were not clean and were often trashy, and overall it did not live up to the standards of the cheapest Marriott I've ever stayed at.
The location is great because it's a beachfront hotel. Front desk staff is very courteous and nice. Not the service I expected. The valet staff is not the most welcoming at all. No warm greeting or smiles at all. I was really dissatisfied with the quality of the room. I had called ahead to get a preference of room. I got a room that was on a low floor and with no city or beach view like their website states. The worst part is that this particular room has a balcony that is in the view of the next rooms balcony. Meaning that our neighbors can walk out of their room and look directly into our room. We had to keep the blinds closed the whole stay for privacy. That was the worse part. Very disappointed. Lastly there wasn't a hairdryer and housekeeping opened out door an hour before checkout time.

This Marriott is a beautiful hotel. You walk right onto the beach. The staff is wonderful. They are attentive, friendly, courteous, and overall just genuine about wanting to please customers. This hotel is one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed at when taking into consideration the overall experience (i.e. Location, staff, cleanliness, accommodations, pool area, etc) The rooms are a little on the small side.

We were down for the Miami Boat Show, which we attend every year. I must say, through all the years we have attended, this was the cleanest, most comfortable & friendly hotel we have stayed in. The staff was great, very attentive. Cleanliness is most important for us and this place passed with flying colors. We also had our puppy with us and everyone was great with her. The newly renovated room was super cozy. The entire hotel is undergoing renovations but it wasn't even a bother. Looking forward to seeing the end result! I would stay here again. Honestly, the only downfall was location. We were a bit farther south and A taxi ride vs walking distance from where we needed to be BUT we would totally stay here again.

Cheap renovations with premium cost of accommodation. Parking cost is unreasonable. Our first room had not been cleaned after the previous guests. We were switched to a worse/smaller room. There was no acoustic privacy.
The hotel had direct beach access, and close to great outdoor shopping, and was a very good value for the money. The staff was friendly and attentive It seemed a little run down, but that was in character for a hotel that was as old as this.
It's right on the beach! Housekeeping staff took my iPhone 6 charger and took the bottles of alcohol that I bought and placed in the fridge. They also took my razors. Also noticed that while they are on the floors cleaning they keep all of the doors open even if they have other people's property in them which makes it really easy for someone else to go in to your room and take your stuff.

I am a former Miami citizen and so I am picky and savvy. The Royal Palm is simply beautiful. The furniture, flooring, light fixtures, landscaping, are well designed and maintained. My room was clean, chic, had an amazing view. Bathroom was modern and lovely. Bed and sheets were comfortable. Your stay includes beach chairs and towels and service (cocktails and food) at your chair. I felt like a queen and was treated exceptionally well by the staff at the beach. I accidentally left my grandmother's ring in my room after checkout and the bellhop mobilized the housekeeping staff to look for and find it. I am so grateful! And whoever is running this place is doing all the important things right. I am a frequent traveler and will DEFINITELY be returning to the Royal Palm Resort. Oh, and you can't beat the location... I requested a late checkout, as I was unsure when I would be done with my meetings, and the gentleman at the front desk smirked and laughed at my request, which I did not appreciate. I do not fault the Royal Palm for this I still feel, despite this individual, I had an amazing experience and I will definitely return.
My wife and I booked this hotel through Kayak's partner Getaroom in late October. The South Beach hotels were generally booked for New Years Eve, so we were happy to have a confirmed reservation. When we arrived at the hotel in New Years Eve, we were told by the front desk staff member that it reservation didn't exist. We looked up or confirmation and confirmed that we had prepaid via credit card. The hotel staff did they could not honor our reservation as they had no rooms available and they take no responsibility for mistakes made by third party booking agencies. They recommended we try elsewhere, so my wife called other hotels and I ran around trying to find a room. We called Getaroom three times and we put in endless hold each time as they struggled with the same problem. They finally found the glitch which turned out to be a misspelling of our last name as "Wppd" instead of "Wood." No apology from the hotel or Getaroom for two hours of frantic searching for another hotel. The hotel itself was nice but lacking in staffing and amenities. Cleanliness was OK. The pool and hot tub were overrun by kids and postadolecents. Location was amazing and we were able to walk to New Years Eve celebrations in South Beach.

Location, beach access Poor hotel management, and poor service when allocating rooms and requesting guests to change rooms. They tried to downgrade us on the first night (the room was already paid for), and also offered us to sleep at an other hotel on the first night because our room was not available. Not accessible. Swimming pool area: Bathroom at the pool could be the bathroom of a 2 star hotel, and there are no indoor shower.

There was a significant amount of blood on the walls between the doors of our room and the room next door (how can you miss that? who is looking over this place??)

Location is central to everything in South Beach. The staff is very helpful and goes out of their way to make sure guest have an enjoyable stay. The room was very clean and the cleaning staff did a great job keeping the room clean even sweeping the sand from the beach off the floor. The walls are paper thin and you can hear guest in other rooms all around. Guests in the halls can get noisy and those sounds come through pretty clearly.

For the price I paid this was the best value hotel I have ever stayed in. Staff was fully flexible and attentive to my needs and knew the excellent surroundings of the hotel. You could actually have a meaningful conversation with the dude caring your luggage. Room was big and with many good practical and esthetic genius details. On a hotel this class you will normally have a complementary bottle of water. But beside this I can't put one single finger...

The hotel as such has everything it needs to be a heaven of quitness and luxery located in a nice part of Miami Not nice to stay there in a WE because than all they attention goes to the parties that are organised in the hotel. Hotelguest don't feel welcome any more at those moments. Families with kids even can't use the swimming pool in the WE ans at the beach they close at 5.30 pm !... During the night you're awakened regulary because of the noisy party guests, returning to their room. Conclusion: nice hotel from mo. till friday afternoon but otherwise, stay away there when you're whth kids !

It location is great and the beach is lovely right out front. The rooms are tired and need a refresh. The check in process was strange. We were told that they were sold out of the room category and we would be upgraded for one night and then had to move. We went back the next day and since I guess we were prepaid they tried to give us a handicapped room and was told this was the only one available. We had an argument with front desk manage Sandra and after three tries we got a room overlooking the parking lot that was acceptable.

I liked the smell of the lobby and it brought back memories for me when this was one of the coolest spots to stay in Miami Beach. It has definitely lost that X factor. Everything feels dingy and not kept up. Checking in was the longest process I have ever been through aNd the girl seemed nervous. Maybe she was new, but it was over and over the same information and had multiple cards for all kinds of things, unlike any check in experience I have had before. Seems like they get stiffed by other guests a lot before. The security are constantly checking if you are staying there and annoying...definitely have decided to hire less than personable staff in general. One of the front desk girls when handing me the final bill, held it out to me without looking at me as if passing on to the next task, CUSTOMER SERVICE 101! Treat each guest as if they are the only person in your world at that moment and look them in the eye with a smile. In general, the whole world has lost this touch, but you would think a 300 a night hotel would still care about this. Finally made it to the beach chair area after being asked twice to show room key by security and then the beach chair guy wanted me to walk all the way back to his booth to check in instead of just taking care of me at my chair. When I refused and told him to take care of it, he kept calling me boss in a derogatory way like I was asking too much. Hire people that care and understand that the only reason they have a job is because of people like me choosing your hotel!! This is standard and not asking too much. I should have great things to say because they did all of this basic stuff and then decided to do more!! They all need help on how to treat guests. There was a blood stain on newly replaced linen in my room. They did an okay job of responding but it should have never happened!!! They only took off the resort fee and $50 and then didn't do it! Had to remind the people upon checkout and they acted like I was lying to them. The valet brought my car when I asked and left it in the rain and not under the overhang!!! What?!! When I asked him to bring it out of the rain his reply was that they were too busy and slapped me on the shoulder like I was his friend and gave me a dirty look like I was asking too much. hahaha I will never again recommend this hotel to anyone as I always have in the past. I'M GOING BACK TO AIRBNB WHEN I TRAVEL NOW. HOTELS LIKE THIS ARE COMMON NOW.
All around great staff Rooms are in need of a facelift. subpar wedding DJ's at the pool, bring earplugs. Sloppy Sunday crowd.

We had first class friendly service from all hotel staff. The breakfast included was really delicious. Our room was so great even had a record player we put on Latin music to start our vacation. Great to use the Raleigh Hotel pool across the street on the beach. I will come back. We parked our car at the Lincoln Mall parking garage for 1/2 the valet cost. Loved my stay. Valet parking 42.00

The hotel was very nice! The bed was especially comfortable. We would definitely stay here again. The kitchen was out of service, but only a minor inconvenience.
The staff was deceiving, unwilling to help and provided the overall worst hotel experience i have ever encountered. The hotel valet staff informed me that I could leave my car parked in front for a few hours while i went to eat dinner and when I returned my car was towed. I tried to explain this to the staff as well last the managers Alvaro Diaz and Gregory Capella. They both informed me that there was nothing they could do. Even though they admitted that the valet may have given me the wrong information, there was nothing they were willing to do to rectify the situation. $281 and hours later i was able to retrieve my vehicle back. The tow company informed me that it was the hotel that called them to have the car towed and they do this all the time! I would never recommend this hotel to anyone simply based off the poor customer service and lack of training of the staff and management. They truly do NOT care about their guests or accommodating to any of their guests needs. I am currently pursuing legal action to be reimbursed for my tow, cab, time and expenses due to their error. There are plenty of choices of places to stay on Miami Beach and I would NOT recommend this one even if they are offering a better price at the time.
Location is close to beach, theater & Lincoln Rd. Mall but removed from the noisy, congested areas. Lovely pool area, good breakfast selection, and accommodating, friendly staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable but a bit small. Will plan to stay at here again next visit to Miami Beach.
Loved the location, price per night, most of the staff and the quality of the hotel. Had some mold in my shower in an otherwise spotless room. Had two awful experiences in the cafe. Both times the person on duty forgot about me. Had to chase him up for a beer I ordered 20 minutes prior with my meal. Another time, he left me sitting for 15 minutes without attending to me. He only had 2 tables on both occasions. Despite these bad experiences I have to say that this was just ONE person... All the other staff, including the manager, were outstanding !!!
This was such a horrible experience. The rooms are gross, they look nothing like the photos. The hotel staff has horrible horrible attitudes. No-one is willing to help you. The hotel is not a 4 star, I would probably consider it about a 1. Please do not waste your money, there are so so many other places in Miami that are so much nicer.
The expensive valet took forever. Rooms and amenities were mediocre... not worth the money you pay for this hotel.

We just stayed overnight, and arrived very late. Front lobby was open late (great!) and check-in easy. Valet accessible right in front (great!) Clean, fluffy linens (great!) Hotel not noisy (great!). Staff very helpful (great!) And, you're right on South Beach (great!). Didn't get to the pool, but it looked nice from the window in the dark (oh, well). Old elevator is cool, but some instructions for those of us not born in 1855 always appreciated. Valet parking $35 a day, but hey, it's Miami, and we didn't helicopter in. Typical narrow room/layout for the 1920's. They do a good job with space saving, though. Doesn't bother me, but might bother some. Also, the hotel front is easy to miss at midnight. We drove right by it, and we weren't inebriated.

Location! Loved how close I was to everything I wanted to see and experience. I didn't appreciate the size of the bathrooms especially the toilet area. I did not appreciate the fact that there is no parking or even a discount through the hotel. The decor can use an upgrade.
Such a great location and a nice looking botique hotel. But everything is ruined when the house keeping staff wakes up guests at 8 am by chattering to each other loudly in the halls waking me up 3 times before 9am. I'm the guest so your staffs behavior should not impact my experience. Yes you are a botique hotel so you should scale your service accordingly and know your staffs conversations carry through the entire floor. Don't stay here!!!!
Unreliability of broadband connection. Wi-fi and internet cable both didn't work but that may have been something to do with my computer.
There was a dance club to the rear of the hotel that played loud (deep bass) music until 4 AM. The sound of the bass resonated throughout the hotel room and woke us up. We needed to use ear plugs in order to go back to sleep.

Very convenient location; friendly staff; quality bedsheets; parking lot next door; proximity to the beach and pedestrian shopping street. Carpeting in my hotel room was full of stains and should be replaced. No stopper in sink and bathtub (minor nuisance). The day of my departure I stored my suitcase and wool cardigan in the luggage room until it was time to leave for the airport. When I returned from lunch to pick up my bags, my newly purchased wood cardigan was missing (stolen or misplaced?). The cardigan had been placed in the storage room along with my bags. The hotel clerk was adamant that my cardigan could not have been lost in the storage room and insinuated that I must have taken it along when I left the hotel for lunch. Because of this I was cold throughout my return flight to France.
Position in the Art Deco area Parking is a problem at night - especially on weekends. Thousands of people come to Miami South beach so you may cruise a lot for a space (including public garages).
This hotel is a block from the beach - great location. all you need is near. Employees and the staff are very kind and gentlemen. Is very clean hotel and the cafe in the morning offers fruit, orange juice, otmeal, cereals, bread varied, boiled and scrambled eggs, hash botatos, sausicha, x, and a delicious cafe. all for a great price. I will return to this hotel in January 2015. I recommend.

The room was a nice size but they have bed bugs and that hotel reeks of piss! Its smelle like a portable washroom, especially in the lobby! The hotel staff was rude too! Bed bugs, pissy smell, and rude staff

The staff and service was incredible! We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing on the beach right in front. As well as the roofdeck. The $15 resort fee covers sunchairs, towels and umbrellas on the beach. The location of the hotel is excellent. Close to everything yet in a quiet area. Highly recommend staying here if you are willof to splurge a bit.
Great location! Right on Ocean Drive and had beach service as well as a rooftop lounge area. The onsite BLT Restaurant is excellent. A classy hotel with small but very attractive rooms (we stayed in the Classic), attractive bar and lobby, and an appealing verandah.

My fiance and I used it together and when he napped in the room one day, it was a perfect refuge for me to have some alone time. BLT Accessibility to Starbucks and the beach. Loved being "across" from the beach vs. directly on it. Your location is very nice. I do wish we could have a waiver for the resort and valet fees. Other hotels (The Tides) were giving what they call a summer Florida resident rate that also provided free valet and no resort fee. Plus, your pool was under construction. Nevertheless, we decided to pay the extra because The Betsy had the appeal we were looking for.
good location in South Beach. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. I was charged an extra fee for 'resort fee' plus sales tax for each day which were never mentioned when I made the booking. Seeing that I was there on business and not leisure, it was a waste of money to pay this fee for access to the beach. This should have been stated clearly.

The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and took their time to provide information and services. The food at the hotel restaurant was one phenomenally delicious. The decorative bed pillows were dirty and the maintainence people interrupted our stay at least three different times. Lastly the only elevator was small and extremely slow.

Top side deck was very relaxing and had a great view. Hotel room was extremely comfortable, especially the bed. Love the books they have all over the place.
