Villa Pantheon was in a fantastic location. Easy walk to St. germain, Notre dame, and a lot of the sites. Staff was super nice and knowledgeable about how to get around the city. Hotel was very clean also. Rooms were slightly small but that is expected in old European cities.
Front desk staff very helpful and friendly The drilling in the wall that started promptly at 9:00 am
The tranquility, the design of the interiors, the view from the balcony and good geographical possition.
The location is perfect, staff are lovely and nice relatively inexpensive restuarants near by. We booked a triple de luxe room and had to ask for extra towels etc. The third bed was a put up bed, thou relatively comfortable.
Front desk was excellent, very friendly - answered all questions satisfactorily. Room was good - excellent bathroom. For a short stay this was excellent. No ice machine!
Great Location, reception staff were helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and cleaned dailly. I think the Hotel is a bit 'tired' and requires some investment, one of the glass panels on the entrance door had a large crack and there was a missing button in the lift, overall the hotel was looking a bit shabby and in need of refurbishment. Also all tv channels were french, usually a hotel of this standard will have news channels etc as a minimum and/or internet access in the room through the TV.
Centrally located in the latin quarter next to St Germain, facilities were good, personnel was extremely helpful and friendly, A bit small
The staff was great, particlarly Alikhan, as well as Kim. Nice ambience. Great location.
Excellent location - very near subway/RER stations, Notre Dame, good restaurants etc! Friendly staff, quiet rooms, nice neighborhood - we are very pleased with our stay! The rooms were perhaps a bit small and the breakfast was very expensive (15€) - but fortunately there are many, many cafés just around the corner.
the location of the hotel is good, quite but not too far from the metro and everything else. it´s just not a four star hotel...maybe if they get stars for having a roof or electricity ;)
The hotel was clean, the staff friendly and perfectly located for our purposes, however I am glad that our room was at the front of the hotel and not at the back some other people were asking to change rooms from the back to the front of the hotel. Like a lot of french hotels, there was no complimentary tea, coffee or water in the room which would have been most gratefully received after a long journey.
The hotel itself is kept quite well and all of the staff was exceptionally nice. The bartender will tell you you're beautiful then offer you a glass of prosecco then explain what it is. The rooms are large but they didn't feel like anything special. They just felt outdated but not in the way I thought it would be. I was kind of expecting a little more oomph in the furniture but it was just regular boring hotel furniture. The bathroom, however, was excellent. Vanities with two mirrors a tub that is actually big enough to get in if you like baths. The decor felt like it was attempting to be fancy but as soon as you tried to take a picture you could tell it wasn't. I appreciated it nonethelesss. If you are awake watching French tv you can't understand at 2am like we were, I can tell you there's a place around the corner that sells sandwiches and pastries (probably more but I didn't really investigate too hard). These sandwiches will look like they're probably going to be stale and you have no idea what you're about to pay for but it was one of my favorite meals. And they're absolutely massive. If you walk across the street from the hotel and go down the hill from the light you'll run into it just past the little grocery store. If that doesn't make sense just ask the front desk guy at 2am and he'll at least point you to the grocery store. Also, probably one of my favorite moments in Paris. Walking about town at 2 am completely alone to find ciggies and food in my pajamas. The ac. We were ground level so sleeping with window was awkward but we had to for a little bit at one point because it got so hot in the room. And this was in October. So the rooms definitely hold heat well.
good location, very good service at reception desk the large window between room and bathroom is really strange .. is disturbing to have no privacy while using the bathroom
The location is fabulous. Easy access to subway, bus, and taxis. Many choices for dining and shopping. The front desk staff was helpful. A shuttle service (add'l charge) was available for our trip back to the airport. We had to ask for shampoo, soap, and instant coffee refills. Cleaning staff was not attentive to these details. One the positive side, when these issues were pointed out they were corrected promptly.
We had 3 rooms. Two were the small standard double rooms and one was an Executive Room with Eiffel Tower view on the 8th floor. The Executive room/Eiffel Tower view had a balcony. This room was also much larger than the standard rooms. Definitely worth the higher cost! The rooms were clean and the air conditioning worked well. Perfect location to Seine, Notre Dame, Louvre - walking distance. I would stay here again!
location is close to the train metro and the RER to the airport. Lots to see and do in this area. the room is a little dark
Very good hotel with convinient location,an exellent service and staff
Location and the roof too small room, the bath - all the water splashed out of the bath. and the water didnt go down the drain
the location it was to hot in the room
Location and the rooftop view. Nothing really outstanding. Elevators are odd. Staff was mostly indifferent. Room was small (about as large as a typical cruise ship room). Wi-Fi worked but not well.
Locality Being charged for wireless broadband. Breakfast was fairly poor with powdered scrambled eggs.
Excellent location, hotel is very new and comfortable, staff very helpful Rooms are a bit noisy. Internet is not free of charge.
Clean, quiet hotel with friendly staff. Very small lift. It was difficult to find the parking place for my car.
Breakfast was great and the location was perfect. Very close to the B line so it made the trip to CDG very easy.
Had a very enjoyable stay, would stay here again.
Clean facilities and friendly staff. We felt very welcome. Breakfast was good but nothing special.
location was good, staff friendy quite basic facilities and small bathroom for price
Great location and very helpfull staff, clean and comfortable bedroom. No complaints with breakfast. Very small lift.
Excellent staff, great location.
I stayed here when I was in Paris for a short stay a few years ago. It was lovely and now the remodel has made it lovelier. Clean, neat as a pin and well-serviced. Thank you. Teeny room for three
Location, room fairly large Bathroom too small & objects poorly located, only one chair for double room
bathroom too small, sauna and whirlpool did not work
the location cleanliness,small bathroom
Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is well located close to a Maubert metro station and you can easily walk to Notre Dame Cathedral and Jadin du Luxembourg. Room and lift were tiny.
Staff's help with forward flight bookings
Perfect location, kind personnel. Elevator.
Very nice location in the heart of Paris
The location was the best thing about the hotel, it was in an excellent area. The room was also very comfortable and clean. The breakfast dining area was cramped and the selection of food was quite small. For the price of 400 euros for two nights we thought the breakfast wasn't good value.
I was very disappointed that the hotel had no working air conditioning. I had specifically wanted a room with air conditioning and the room was very hot. We were unable to sleep with the windows open as it was very noisy due to the location. A consequent to this was I had 2 very poor nights sleep. They did eventually give me a fan. The staff saw no urgency in sorting out the problem. The breakfast was a 'shelf' of food and you were only able to have 1 croissant each. This certainly didn't warrant the hotel being 4 star. It was a tiny room and the choice and selection of food was poor.
The location, only 1/2 block from the Seine and 1 block form Notre Dame on the left bank was superb!
The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The location is excellent for shopping , transportation and eating out. Everything on your doorstep. The breakfast room is extremely small and uncomfortable. Breakfast for that room price should be much better.
very small breakfast hall and very little choice of breakfast and impolite staff
Close proximity to Metro and several of the sites.
Staff of the hotel extremely frindly and helpful. Nice atmosphere in a nice area. Close to restuarants and metro. Rooms are too small.Only 1 elevator very small and slow. No internet free. Breakfast too expensive. Minbar too expensive.
Staff very helpful.
Excellent location in the centre of Paris. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lots of good restaurants nearby. I would definately stay here again. The room was fairly small, especially the bathroom. Having said that, the bed, furnishings etc. were top quality. Hotel rates were very pricey, but in my opinion, you get what you pay for in the centre of a capital city!
its central location i guess. it was very easy to move using the metro. generally, i think the staff should be more helpful and polite and their rates should be much more low.
Location Nothing in particular
The hotel was beautiful and the location was fantastic. There were many restaurants and shops in the area, and it was perfectly located for exploring all parts of the city. Also, many of the new, popular restaurants are within walking distance.
Excellent location, modern decor, friendly staff. A stone's throw from Notre Dame. Staff were extremely helpful with restaurant recommendations and even late breakfast. Small room, but par for the course in Paris. They're doing renovations, but that has to happen sometime, so no big deal.
Its Location I think that the rates at expensive for the size of the rooms and the facilities available
A very comfortable hotel in an ideal location for Paris and especially the Marais quarter. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms very well designed (quite small but this is normal for Paris) but the use of space was well appointed. A very good lounge / bar for relaxing and free WiFi
The decor and the central location The street outside is very noisy, so we couldn't open the window even though the room was too hot for comfortable sleep (20 degrees).
Location is great!!! Staff are very sexy and friendly!!! It's a bit expensive but it's Paris so....
Rooms were very comfortable and clean, quite newly decorated and refitted. The staff were excellent and most spoke very good English. The location is excellent, a quiet street in a central location with easy travel links and lovely part of the city.
Excellent location for metro and airport trains. Good restaurants in the area and within 10min walk to Notre Dame. Small room and bathroom, but adequate if intending to get out and about. Did find other peoples clothes under the bed which begs the question how well they clean the rooms.
Quality of the fitout of the room. Very clean. Air conditioning unit out side the window was noisy. We stayed in room 602.
Quiet location; helpful staff; proximity to good restaurant; internet access; place to meet academic colleague
The best thing is lokation. The glass transparent door in bath/toilet. The room with 2 splitted beds is very small.
The staff were all extremely helpful and we loved the fact that the hotel was so close to everything we wanted to see and yet so quiet.
Fantastic hotel, very clean and great staff :o)
location no tea or coffee facilities
The most comfortable bed in 5 weeks of travel in N.Spain & SW France! Excellent location for sightseeing. No.
Location very good. In walking distance to most attractions and close to metro and RER. Superior room was large after French standards. Nice hotel and only limited traffic noice.
the room/the friedliness of personell Too hot and not enough fresh air
location was great the hotel staff were helpfull and kind thr room was clean the bed was very comfterbale
location value for the money
I liked the staff at the front desk. They were very freindly, helpful and went out of their way to help. We had to leave early and they really helped us out. I had to make changes in airtravel early in the morning and the night office person could not have been nicer. I will definately stay at this hotel when I return to Paris. Byron Lawler
The staff were helpful, the hotel was quite small but smarly decorated and the room service food ( from a restaurant nearby ? ) was very good and not expensive for this area where the hotel was located . The lobby/bar areas were very comfortable with space t sit, relax and read ( lots books and magazines ! ) My ( loft ) room was a "suite" ( free upgrade ) and was lovely - except for the HUM of the airconditioning unit , very hard to sleep !
Nice hotel. Good location on the Quartier Latin. Very Quiet . Stayed on a suit - Loft. Strange smell. (Not intense but it could be sensed)
Great Hotel in the best location for the pAris left bank - all was good except the cleaning processes for our rooms were below standard....
After a very cold day wandering around Paris it was fantastic returning to a cosy room with lovely towels and an extremely comfortable bed The view from our room was of another bedroom
Convenient location and nice style in hotel and surroundings and an excellent value, especially for a nice Paris hotel.
The beds were the best we have found in hotels on the left bank in Paris and we have stayed at many of those
The location was great, right off the Luxembourg gardens and Senate. On a quiet street but VERY close to a lot of bistros, bars and restaurants. The room was very small, but clean. Staff was nice. The floor we were staying on smelled like stale smoke, and the rooms also had a stale smell. Thank goodness the windows in the room opened. The breakfast we paid extra for, was below mediocre. They ran out of eggs two of the three mornings we stayed there. When we brought it up to the kitchen, calmly requesting more eggs, they huffed around and then brought like two eggs worth of scrambled eggs.
I loved the quiet location near old church, yet right near many restaurants, the Seine, & St Michel Rer rail line to the C de G airport. It is a little gem. Nothing
Really good reception staff privacy from the first floor rooms a small problem
Very good location , just go out of the hotel and you will find the metro station evrywhere , Very friendly staff
Location was excellent, room was clean, bed was comfortable, staff was helpful and friendly. Room was small (granted many Paris hotel rooms are small but expected a bit larger in a 3-star). Oddly we got charged for the coffees in the morning although it was available for free later in the day.
Good location overlooking the church makes for a quiet stay. The staff are very pleasant and accommodating. This is a good choice for a moderate hotel. We would return.
The view of the church from our window, the geranium window boxes, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. the wonderful woman in the breakfast room, and the location. The bed was rather hard.
A great location very cosy and helpful staff would stay again
The location was excellent Very clean Staff were very helpful We could hear the people in the room above us walking around but it wasn't a real problem for us
Excellent location, the room was very nice - good value for money Breakfast is too expensive - should be included in the hotel price
The location of the hotel is its best feature. It is right in the heart of the city close to all the sights to see in Paris. The reception staff were generally a little disconnected and did not offer much information. I felt they could have been more friendly and informative.
Friendly staffs and clean rooms The two bedroom apartment was actually one bedroom with an extra bed put in front of the living hall. Small elevators and smaller rooms.
the friendly staff, appealing surroundings the bed was too hard and the pillows too thin
The staff was exceedingly helpful, solicitous, polite and friendly. They offered great recommendations that greatly enhanced our visit. We spoke almost no French, and their English was excellent, to a person. The best thing about the Residence Henri IV is its great staff! Our family of 3 adults and one teenager should not have stayed in a single "suite" - even one advertised as being for a family of 3-4. The two-room accommodation was very, very small - probably OK for a family of two adults and one or two smaller children, although even so I think it would have been tight. We did not find the very tiny kitchenette useful at all.
People were charming, facilities were wonderful. The light, the space, the little balcony with flower box and the location. Not everyone travels with their laptop.
Hotel location and quality were both excellent
staff very friendly , rooms clean and well furnished, lovely bathrooms no
The location and staff were excellent. A little noisey from within the hallways but the room was nice, clean and comfortable
The rooms where a little bit smaller than what the internet photo's showed however it made up for it's class and atmosphere. You really had the feeling like you had a small apartment in Paris with a small kitchen net, a nice bathroom with a tub, king size bed and a cute veranda. Most of all the staff where very friendly and helpful. I liked the lay out of the bedroom and how breakfast was served literally right in bed.
The hotel staff was excellent, friendy, intellegent and were always willing to help. The hotel location is also superior, close to the metro and within walking distance to many locations. The breakfast was often disorganized. One person was trying to serve breakfast as well as attend the front desk.
The hotel was very secure, with a person attending the door at all times. The bathrooms were very nice and the kitchenette was very convenient. Its location was superb - very close close to stores, restaurants, the metro, and the Notre Dame. We had booked another hotel for when we returned to Paris after traveling France, but decided to cancel that and come back to Residence Henri IV because we liked it so much.
Comfortable beds, cleanliness and friendly staff TV in room 556 did not work properly but hotel refunded payment
Good location. Nice city, nice people. Noisy lift - not too troublesome. Dodgy airconditioning, but I have met worse.
The location in the very heart of Quartier Latin, although in a very quiet and safe street; We also liked the staff, all very professional and friendly. The size of the room: too small.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was modern and clean. Very close to Notre Dame station and easy to get around the city from there.
Repeated stay.Excellent location for our purposes. Easy access to all types of transportation.
Great location. Close to all attractions.
Location Wifi did not work at all.
Location was excellent and the hotel staff was polite. Good place to crash when you're not planning to spend time at the hotel.
The location of the hotel was very convenient, the room was big enough. There was not a tv hall to watch the Tour de France.
The hotel was very central, it was easy to get to most places. The rooms were clean. The hotel staff were quite friendly but not extremely helpful. The only negative thing was the organization of breakfast. The breakfast room is quite small and we had to wait for a table, but then we had to wait for it to be cleaned which took quite a while.
quiet but central location, beautiful room, understated but efficient service Curtains could cover the windows better, but overall excellent.
Location superb - couldn't be more central. Fascinating history to the hotel, built in 1480, and where William Burroughs wrote the naked Lunch. Room very comfortable. Bathroom on the small side, and could do with updating. No Tea/Coffee in room.
Location No smooking
Wi Fi could have been faster
The hotel is located in the real centre of Paris. The building is old and nicely restaurated. Service is good. The bathroom is quite small but is arrangaed in a clever way. However, the door to the bathroom let all sounds come out - good for one person, not so good for two.
location -- busy area of Paris but very quiet concierge not much help. hotel looked a little tired since we last stayed there -- and so loved it -- in 1998
Ideal location, short walking distance to River Sienne, Louvre, Notre Dame etc. Room very quiet and peacefull despite close proximity to the usual tourest attractions.
location is very good Rooms claustrophobically small. Airconditioning cannot be regulated in the room, was warm the first day, we had to open the window. Second day was better. Bed is 1.90 m; too small for me. Pillows not nice. Find it difficult to believe that this a four star hotel; price way too high.
good location for major attractions, staff was welcoming and helpful. Breakfast very expensive for what you received, mini bar outrageously expensive. Our bathroom had a huge column in it preventing us from opening or closing the shower door and had to step into the shower completely to turn on water. room temp not adjustable, we paid more to have laundry done then we actually paid purchasing the items. felt we should have been warned about expense.
exclent friendly stuff just because them i can stay there once more. elevator.
The shower was terrific. Entire bathroom though small very well designed. Good bed. Nice and quiet. Breakfast very nice as well. Little light so hard to see inside of closet.
Very good position next to bars, brasseries and metro Rooms are very nice but a bit small
The room was very spacious, for a hotel in the centre of paris. It is really idealy located in the heart of the centre 30 meters away from the metro, in the lovely Marais area. We got a free upgrade to a superior room because we stayed there for 5 days, which was great. Staff was nice and spoke english (as well as french) really well. Another great thing was the rooms are all overlooking an atrium, so you do not hear any street noise. I've stayed in a lot of hotels in paris but this was by far the best one ! I would recommend this hotel to anyone ! PS we didn't have breakfast in the hotel, so i don't know how that was.
The central location, closeness to the subway system and the pleasant view from the window.
great location, very helpful staff, comfortable, quiet room
Excellent location. Comfortable rooms. Very nice breakfast. Very helpful staff. We had several problems with our room (safe not working, heating not working, toilet flush broke down while we were there). The staff available were as helpful as they could be and did their very best. I think we were just particularly unlucky anbd I have no reason to believe that other guests had similar problems. To compensate for all our problems we were offered free breakfast each morning and also got a half bottle of champagne. The most senior staff available most of the time was a receptionist and there was no manager on site.
This hotel is very centralized near Notre Dame and the Hotel De Ville Metro. Thomas, the receptionist. I'm rating this briefly b/c I am a critic. My full review will be on another website and popular magazine. First, the room was filthy and tiny. Not worth the money. There were blood stains on the curtains. The chairs in the room had more stains than I could count, looking as if they have never been cleaned. The toilet ran all day and all night requiring maintenance. The fixture in the kitchenette was loose and after addressing it with management nothing was done. The vent in the bathroom had inadequate ventilation and had dirt fuzz hanging off of it. I had to clean it myself. It looked as if it had never been cleaned. The bathtub leaked from both sides when taking a shower requiring us to use half of the towels in the bathroom for each shower so we wouldn’t slip on the floor. The hotel cleaning staff never did an adequate job cleaning the bathroom and after discussing it with Thomas the receptionist, he explained that they were unreliable and often did not show up to work. Despite his excuses he was very nice and cordial. The mini-bar was in a cabinet with no vent creating a heat source from under the kitchenette. This made the room even hotter because the air conditioning did not work for our entire stay. The rude Chilean woman receptionist almost scolded me and my wife telling us not to touch the thermostat in the room. I heard other guest complaining about this issue also. It registered a constant 29 Celsius, or 85 Fahrenheit. Lastly, the wireless internet connection did not work. It required a cable from hotel management. The best thing about our stay at this hotel was the location and the service received by Thomas, though after finding out I was a critic he explained to me that there were much bugger and nicer rooms and offered to let me see them. I declined. We should have received a nicer room if it was available. This is definitely not a 4 star hotel. It barely makes 3 in my book.
Delightful, friendly and helpful service from the concierge Loic. Good English spoken. Comfortable clean room. Public sitting area/reception was limited because of lace of space and because weather was bad and we could not sit in the pretty courtyard. However we were happy to return to our cosy room after a long day of sightseeing. Excellent for a short city break and good location for sightseeing in Paris and close to a metro station. No
Excellent location, excellent staff. Very comfortable room. Only slight niggles - I wasn't sure how the air conditioning worked (the room was a little warm at night) and the toilet was sometimes a little eccentric. To be fair, however, the concierge did offer to have a look at the toilet if we wanted and, again, I could have asked about the air conditioning. On the whole, we were delighted with the hotel and will definitely stay again and recommend it to others.
the courtesey and the comfort, quietness
The location of the hotel is excellent. Very near the metro and in the heart of the Marais. Most of the front desk staff were very helpful and friendly Upon check-in the staff at the front desk were aloof, bordering on rude and one woman was particularly unengaged and rude.
