The main lobby and bar were beautiful and relaxing areas and the hotel is well maintained and clean. Rooms and bathroom were very small and the building is definitely an older building. That being said, the interiors were clean and well taken care of, and the common areas were very well kept and beautiful.
The check in was smooth and easy. Our attendant answered all of our questions and made great suggestions for food and activities. I will say, i had the BEST caramel macchiato at the Starbucks that is in this hotel. I told the barista then, and i'm saying it again now, it was hands down the best! The bed seemed really firm which is unusual for hotels, usually they are plush.

We arrived early and tried to check in.Were advised room not ready, but in a hour and we were being upgraded. Two hours later that room was gone, but we could wait for the upgraded room or take our confirmed room (smaller,etc) then.Decided to wait on 23rd floor where the upgraded room was located--very pleasant but took another 40 minutes. It was god to wait and worth it but,.........................., had two double beds. would have liked queen beds as we were three ladies, two of whom are larger.... Everything else was GREAT

Walk into the grand lobby and you feel like you're part of Chicago history. The rooms are a little small.
The room was very clean. The hotel had many amenities and provided a comfortable home away from home. I was approached by beggars both in front of the hotel (on the sidewalk) and in the hotel lobby. It would have been nice for security to be a bit tighter.

Decor, ambiance, comfy bed and linens, great shower, great mirror in the bathroom, we were pleasantly suprised to see that we were able to open the windows in the room, we like fresh air. The wall paper was peeling in the bathroom.
In the middle of everywhere I needed to be! Near read line, near great restaurants and near the bean. Bed was a bit too uncomfortable and no water pressure in shower.

Check in was busy but efficient Because it was our 10th wedding anniversary I called to have a bottle of proseco waiting for us in the room. I was told they didn't have proseco but it was listed in the menu. The walls are paper thin. So much so not only could I hear the guy next door but I could also hear the person he was talking to on the phone. came downstairs to get my car from the valet and was told it would take 20 minutes. No one said anything when I checked in and there were no instructions that allowed you to call ahead from your room. Bathroom floor was sticky. Overall, the worse hotel visit.
My friend and I got there on a Thursday night. We asked the manager if we could get an upgrade since I was a gold member and the hotel was more than half empty. She denied us that courtesy. I would understand if the hotel was full but it was totally empty probably due to the bad weather so I will not stay here again
From check in to check out, our stay at the Hyatt Regency was a superb experience. The staff was genuinely hospitable, and the entire facility was luxurious. The premium view is worth the extra $$$, as we had a breathtaking view of the river and lakefront. Definitely recommend. It was pricey, but definitely worth it. I really can't say anything else that was undesirable, as our stay was basically perfect.

Location was great. Staff was nice. Workout facility adequate. The BIG bar and the common spaces were really neat. no convienent way to have towels replaced. You had to call housekeeping. Also the sink was small, no place to leave personal items on sink. Couldn't use the refrigerator because it was rigged to charge you for minibar items.

Nice room on 38th floor with great view. Location was great. Walking and Uber/Lyft is no problem. Elevator is really loud for room 3802 but only during high traffic hours. (View made up for it) Restaurant is disappointing for price and selection. If I am going to spend $25 for breakfast $10+ dollars for cocktails or any amount for average food at dinner, there are other options within walking distance that are SO much better. They need reasonable prices to compliment convenience.
Even though the hotel offers nice spacious rooms with an incredibly friendly staff the noise left us with less than desirable evenings. The noise from people in the hallway travelled down the entire hallway echoing, causing the ability to sleep quite difficult. Conversely early in the morning when people were beginning to check out you heard the elevator almost every time... and we were at least 4-5 rooms away from the elevator. Additionally there was hotel room service plates left in the hallway for 1 1/2 days with dirty food on it. I'm a patient person but that's unacceptable for even more than half a day

It is a large high rise in Chicago, but the staff makes you feel like you are very important! Their concierges are awesome...make sure you utilize their help!
Location is fantastic and staff were all incredibly friendly. River views from room were great. Facilities in the room were a little run down but clean and comfortable beds and everything else was great.

Came early bc we were miserable at another hotel so we showed up at 1030AM Ann's they kindly let us check in for our four nights at that time so we could relax get and shower and unpack before hitting the city. Phenomenal location to all and I mean all things. The whole staff is friendly and helpful. Great city and river views. Would most certainly recommended to anyone visiting the city.
Service staff never made me feel like I was a bother. I loved the spacious and newly remodeled room we stayed in. Beautiful bump out bay window with breathtaking views of the river and Lake Michigan. Bathroom had very high end finishes, and also included a television in the mirror! The maintenance guy who tried to fix a broken bathroom light was using very profane language as he failed at repairing the light. However, this staff member's behavior scored us a free upgrade from city view - to river lake view - so it all worked out.

Our room was beautiful with a spectacular city view. Complete functioning kitchette which we did not take advantage of because we were only there one night but would have been great for a three day weekend stay. Staff was friendly and professional. We had a light fixture broken in our bathroom when we first arrived and they had it replaced and room service had cleaned the glass up in under 20 mins. Impressive for an operation this size. Within walking distance to many desired locations.
The staff was extremely helpful with everything from directions to meal preferences. The quality of atmosphere was also very good. The decor and views from the hotel were better than anywhere I've ever stayed. The pool area was not on par with the essence or ambiance of the rest of the hotel, with the lack of hot tub areas and the extreme plainness of the pool area compared to the rest of the hotel.

The Front staff made this place, really nice and very helpful. The location was great and made getting around Chicago a breeze. Next years Microsoft Ignite conference I will be booking at this Hotel again. Next time though I will remember to get a room with a fridge!
Most things we wanted to see were just off the L, we had to walk 6 blocks maximum. There was a lack of dance bars for people our age without a ridiculous cover charge

Rooms were clean $53 for valet and they brought down the wrong car 2 out of 3 times. Both times I waited for more than an hour when the entire purpose of the valet is to save time. Half of the staff was excellent and the other half was rued.

I was pleasantly surprised about our stay. We travel a lot and typically stay at places we are familiar with. However, this place was perfect! Location, staff, room.....everything was great! We will definitely stay here again when we return to Chicago. I think the most impressive part was the great staff. They understand customer service and they were on their game at all times!

Location Not at all what I've experienced from a four star hotel. The rooms weren't very big or nice. And the attendants at the lobby were sitting down, which I found odd. I would never rate this a four star hotel, I found it akin to Aloft hotels. I also bought this room for a friend's birthday, and they said they don't do anything special for birthdays. I've stayed at 3 star hotels that send up champagne on birthdays.
We liked how breakfast was available on every floor, the location (pretty central to our interests), the price was good and there was relatively inexpensive parking next door. View from the room was basically an alley and parking lot, not the best view in Chicago by any means. Breakfast ends a little early. Free drinks at the "lounge" was a great surprise but the lounge itself is a bizarre little room.

Location The check in desks aren't the best, it gets congested and it's loud. The evening reception is nice however I received one coin for one drink?! I saw many others with many coins for drinks.

The location was great! It was trendy and clean and comfortable. Love the free continental breakfast on each floor. We also got two free drink tokens for a happy hour they host - which was a nice pre-dinner drink for us! They were also able to accommodate us last minute for an early check-in which was super helpful. Everything was a little small (hotel room, lobby, etc). It was modern and boutique-like, but I wouldn't consider it a luxury hotel.
We were very happy with the Kinzie Hotel. The location was very convenient for the Oriental Theater, as well as for dinner locations afterward. We appreciated the continental breakfast provided on each floor. We found the room very spacious, clean, and comfortable. We especially appreciated the friendly staff and we look forward to staying here again.
We loved the breakfast on every floor! The rooms were nicely decorated and very clean. The location was perfect!! While we were okay with "no view", we didn't care for others looking into our windows. We had to keep our blinds closed the entire time. Sheers would be nice to still have the light but still have piece of mind about privacy. Perhaps next time we will ask for a view!!

I loved the spa, and the club level. The art--in the halls, and the rooms--was quite wonderful and unique in my experience. The food on the club level was excellent. And the spa is the best I've found amongst hotels, and in Chicago. Staff was quite helpful. It is very expensive. I was amazed at how expensive the overnight parking would have been ($ 71), and chose to park for 1/3 of that in a garage next door.
This place is so extra!! I have stayed at the London location but it had been so long ago that I forgot how nice it is.

Very nice. Excellent price for how luxurious it was. The room was unbelievable and the location was perfect. The parking was very easy, if you don't want to use the valet, there is a parking garage right next to the hotel. I had called to confirm our check in was at 3pm, and I received an email stating that our check in was at 3pm. However, our room was not available until after 4pm. We had missed our dinner reservations because of this. And being that we paid alot to stay at this hotel, they did not offer any compensation for their error.

This review is not a negative review of the hotel. Rather it is a result of a horrible experience with kayak and their vendors. Upon arriving at the hotel, I was told at the front desk my reservation did not exist. After showing them several emails from kayaks vendors, they told me those confirmation numbers did not exist if that was the fifth person with the same issue booking through kayak that day. After several hours on the phone with no successful resolution with kayaks vendors, my partner was finally able to secure a room for us at another hotel. We are still trying to resolve this issue with. I will not be booking through kayak again.
Best was very comfortable. Room was smaller than I thought it was going to be. They really need to add a curved shower curtain.
The location. My wife and I went to see the Phantom of the Opera playing next door at the Cadillac Palace. I can't say enough about the convenience of having the hotel next door. no having to walk blocks to our vehicle. Walked down the sidewalk and into the hotel, was able to avoid the cold Chicago weather. The Room. We stayed in Room 405. Our view out of the 2 windows, the first was a brick wall, the second, an alley way. At about 2am, for some reason the windows decided they wanted to bang against the frame endlessly, not allowing neither my wife or I to sleep. The bed was definately not a King Bed, and for it being a Premier Room, I would have expected the bathroom to be bigger than the size of a closet. I can't say I wouldn't stay here again, but would want to see the room before check-in.

Couldn't have been happier with the Hotel Allegro The booking site Amoma.com gave me an invalid confirmation number, and since the hotel was already full for the second half of my stay, I ended up quite stressed out and dragging my luggage around for a full day until the hotel had a cancellation and I was able to stay. Amoma.com was very responsive and professional when they finally responded (I think they're based in Switzerland), and I think some third party was responsible for the booking problem, but regardless, my stay was more distressing than I had hoped for. If you have a choice, I would recommend booking with another agency for this location.
The receptionist messed up my receipt.I used my company's card to stay and I am the only person who stay in the hotel.And when checking out,I just asked for the receipt but didn't check it.after coming back,I have to use the receipt to do my reinbursement,but found out that it is not under my name and the stay person wrote down two,which looks pretty bad on me!i called the hotel to change the receipt name,they refused it bc it is a past reservation! The most annoying thing is that when I checked out using the compan card,I asked them if it is ok to pay with a card not under my name.they didn't say anything.and the worst thing is that the receptionist change the name of my reservation in the system and didn't tell me about it.moreover,the receipt amount doesn't match my reservation amount which is also ridiculous!!!All in all, this experiment almost cost me to not be able to reinburse my stay. They r obviously not professional and it gives me a really bad memory here!

Luxurious hotel The room is much smaller than it seems in the photos. Walls are super thin which makes privacy very difficult. Expect to hear your neighbors.

We were on the 23rd floor right next to the stairwell, and I have no idea where the noise came from, but all day and all night there was a loud knocking/banging noise, followed by a revving noise that would come from a machine, that continued nonstop. We were not near the elevators, so we ruled that out. It was impossible to sleep, even with the tv on and my white noise sleep app. Ridiculous. I don't know if the rooms booked on kayak are the crappy, noisy rooms because of the good price, but I will not be staying at the Hard Rock again.

It has a great location for downtown shopping and dinning Despite the fact I paid extra for the larger more luxurious room it was very small and came with no perks such as included parking. Parking was twice as much as the near by overnight lots in the area. The towels, sheets ect were very stiff and ruff with no robes in room. The staff seemed clueless on several amenities the hotel offered including an app for the tv that allowed you to order movies and control settings the same as a remote and thank goodness because the actual remote in the room did not work. Also there were added charges to the bill that had to be disputed at checkout all were resolved but it added frustration onto an already Less than pleasant experience. We will not be staying there again.

Very convenient location right on Michigan Ave. You won't run out of places to eat or stores to shop. I'm a music enthusiast and the memorabilia on the walls is a nice touch. Also a guitarist and the ability to have your own guitar brought to your room to play was pretty sweet. A Jamaican style bar club along with a nice steak/bar restaurant are in it (Although a little pricey) Been to many hotels due to my line of work. Although the ambience is nice Its not much more then anything you'd find at a Holiday Inn or Hampton. Seems a bit on the older side. Don't know about the more expensive rooms. But ours did not come with a fridge or microwave ( you can purchase them)

It was very pleasant get there early and having a room to do an early check in. The staff was excellent. Overall it was a good hotel. The location of it was very impressive, close to every place, Willis Tower, Millennium Park, and Navy Pier. I think it's a little pricey, but given the location I think it's worth it.

Location was great for Michigan Avenue shopping as well as Shedd Aquarium, Museums, and Navy Pier. The pool and hot tub were great. The water temperature was perfect for kids. The view was excellent from the top floor, which is where the pool/fitness area is located. Rooms were comfortable and quiet. Elevator system was easy. The overall design of the hotel was a bit unique and differentiated from other Chicago 4 Star + choices. We valet parked the car. When you leave, you go down to the parking garage to exit. The corner to drive out and up the ramp is super tight . I ended up scraping my back door pretty substantially. It was operator error for sure. I would just caution others to be careful as they leave or ask one of the valet guys who do this all the time to drive it through the corner.

I booked a room in Chicago at the Swissotel for two nights and after reading the horror stories about kayak bookings through getaroom, I was a bit apprehensive. Based on my travel plans and circumstances, I was able to risk it and make other lodging plans if necessary, so I risked the inconvenience of whatever troubles getaroom might cause me. Fortunately, I did not run into any troubles at all and had a wonderful stay at a luxurious hotel that is in a great location. I received all the service and privileges of a normal stay at the Swissotel. No complaints.
We did not expect a room with a view but we got one and it was amazing! The rooms were also very large and we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go. We were right beside the elevators so we heard them often but we got used to it. At first if just sounded like a plane flying overhead until we figured it out but it was no where near a deal breaker for booking again.

It was in a pretty great location and all of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were well kept and comfortable, though do need a bit of updating. We did not receive a very warm welcome upon driving up to the hotel. It took us a minute to find a valet and a bellhop.
It is in a nearly ideal location near Michigan Avenue, shopping, restaurants, etc The audiovisual support for my meeting was abysmal
Love the location near River & Lake Michigan. River walk has so much to offer right outside the doors. Walkable to most major attractions. Just off from the crowds of Michigan Ave. This is our 4th time and always my first choice when visiting Chicago.

Nice views from the room and the fitness center. Very clean and quiet despite how busy the lobby was with guests! Low, popcorn ceilings really make the room feel more like a motel than a high-rise! The room was a bit outdated overall. Also the location was not super easy to access on foot - ended up taking more cabs than we would have liked.
Beds super comfy; Felt like I was staying at a spa; Staff super friendly and helpful; beautiful view of the river and partial skyline; GPS kept wanting to take me to the closed parking garage underground; Had to ask other hotel valet down there how to get up top to my hotel (not hotel's fault). Valet expensive ($70), but guess it's the norm for Chicago.
Good location My king bed was actually a king box spring with two twin mattresses. Who does that? The seam is right in the middle of your back.

The River Hotel is very conveniently located and has a nice restaurant downstairs that has a nice beverage selection and even deep dish Chicago pizza (along with a diverse selection of salads, pasta, and meat dishes). The A/C was great and the mattress was comfortable. We were able to check in an hour and a half early, which was very nice. The room was tiny - literally the same size as many of the hotel rooms we stayed in in Japan. The toiletries and furnishings were the bare minimum - don't forget to bring the bar of soap to the shower if you want to use it there instead of at the sink! Finally, the elevator situation is terrible. Multiple times, we had to wait well over 10 minutes for an elevator to get to our room. Be sure to budget in extra time if you're on a schedule!
The elevator service was terrible. We would often wait over 20 minutes to catch the elevator during the day, and the stairs were not practical when you're staying in the 28th floor.

Staff was very helpful, have a son in a wheel chair and they went out of their way to help. Great Italian/pizza restaurant in lobby. Historic style building with very clean modern rooms.
Location is perfect. Rooms are tiny, with no wasted space and good views. Lobby non-existent, but 2nd floor desk/relax space makes up for that. They have no lot, no arrangement with a local lot, and only one valet on staff as best I could tell. This guy would disappear for up to 20-30 min, or flat out say it will be 20+ min before I can get your car. All that, for $55 per trip. Don't drive, or plan to find a distant garage if you want to pay less than $50-70 per night parking. Atop the valet-delay, they only had one elevator servicing floors 11-30s, and every trip up or down took at least 10 min of waiting (don't leave anything behind!) and every trip in the elevator was packed body to body.
Chicago is a beautiful city. The River Hotel couldn't have been located any better. Our view was ok nothing great because we were in the 2nd floor. The hotel staff was very nice. And the marble stair case was gorgeous. I liked that they had complimentary bottled water. That's help whenever you walking continuously around the city. I had issues about several things that may not matter to some people but it bothered me. I asked twice for a sleeping mask and the first night they're were out said they'll get some in the next day. On the next day I asked again and they already have them out.?.? I feel they should have notated I requested one the first day and then have it ready the next. The bed linens leave something to be desired. They use a flat sheet for the bottom sheet which kept coming undone. The comforter wasn't big enough for the bed. It continuously kept falling off so in the middle of the night I had to get up and cover my wife back up. The room was for the most part clean. However I drop something and when I looked under the bed I saw individual skittles covered in dust :-/. And the restaurant... We tried to eat and drink there but the service was terrible. Took 20 mins to get menus and a water. I guess they're understaffed? But we left before ordering anything due to the service. The overal stay wasn't terrible. I would stay there again but I would never pay full price for it.

This hotel has a long history and floor plans are quirky but the rooms are remodeled and modern. Our room in the historic tower had a 31st floor view that happened to have windows facing 3 different directions for a 270 degree view from Michigan Avenue to Lake Michigan (I think it was the only one on the floor with that expansive view). Minibar charges when we didnt use anything is always really annoying. I would have hoped a nice hotel like the Intercontinental wouldn't have this issue.
This Intercontinental is in a great location on the Magnificent Mile. The rooms are spacious and the bed and bathrooms are nicely updated. The pool was very nice as well. I would recommend the valet if you are staying a over 24 hours they have a flare rate and you can leave and come back. Parking around the area is just as expensive but you can't leave and comeback. They also gave me late checkout of 2 PM.

We loved our stay and will go back. Need a better coffee maker. Small microwave in room. Fridge for your own soft drinks. Mini bar was very expensive

Location is great, staff professional and helpful. Room was cramped, room service breakfast was HUGELY expensive not to mention over cooked and arrived cold. And who chose the hall carpet? No one in my party could understand the choice. Unattractive and at first glance looks as though it is worn and needs replacement. Not a great impression.
Location was fantastic and newly renovated older tower was lovely. Pool and health center were fantastic When we parked in the garage, no one offered to help us with our luggage. The parking fee was astronomical at $67 a night. I was charged $400 plus dollars for a mini bar that we never touched and it was obviously from another room as the names on the requests were not us. One employee said she would have to investigate and it would delay our checkout. NOT GOOD! I called the front desk again and spoke to someone else who immediately removed it

The location was top notch in a historic building- it was pointed out during our architectural boat tour! Our room's windows were inches from a brick wall which made me feel very unsafe. No notice that it was an interior rom when we booked. In addition, we could hear the wedding reception going on below. Sure this hotel has plenty of rooms, but do you really want to chance it that you will be placed in one without a window?
From the moment you pull up in front of the InterContinental you know you've made a wise choice. A friendly, suited doorman opened the cab door and welcomed us into the beautiful lobby decorated with a 4-story Christmas tree. We checked in and an exceptionally friendly clerk, Mariana, made sure we were given a quiet corner room, per our request. Our room was clean, spacious, and newly renovated - but not overdone. The wi-fi was fast, the bathroom toiletries lovely, and the room was quiet. Stop and see the pool -- it is the original, and its gorgeous. How often do you see chandeliers over a swimming pool that once boasted Esther Williams as a swimmer? Best of all, the location. Between Ontario Street and the Chicago Tribune, right before the river -- perfect! When we stepped off the elevator the rug was worn and shabby. This was our only complaint about the decor.
Lack of comfortable lounge area in the bar area. Years back there was a very ample lounge area for either for couples or larger groups. Too bad they eliminated it. I am also glad the re-opened the pool early.
Booked through kayak the day of to arrive and no record of my booking at hotel. Card was swiped twice, so I had to wait past my stay for the authorization to fall off for the $700 charge. It was a messy situation and one that shouldn't happen while I am taking a break.
Large and full service yet not corporate-looking and bland. Very slow elevator.
I hosted a meeting while I was there and their banquet staff was exceptional! They were able to make changes last minute. If they didn't know the answer to a question they found out for me. They were always smiling and always on top of every detail without my asking. The side chair & mattress were a little harder than I prefer.
Cool looking. Hotel corridors unique in a good way. Room comfortable. Balcony nice but should have bad small chairs. Bar uncomfortable and staff had stiff personalities. Facilty confusing.
The staff were EXCELLENT! I was there for a small event and Dominic took perfect care of us. Loved my stay!

room was excellent - very comfortable bed restaurant was nothing special - for location of the hotel it was poorly situated and did not take advantage of this location and offer a view of the park or of the lake
Location, interior design, amenities
Loved the view of the city from our balcony. Also, the rain shower was great! It was the perfect location to all the tourist attractions of the city. Would definitely stay here again! The cost of parking was a bit overpriced.
The room was great and the amenities were awesome. Great location, only a few minutes from Michigan Ave and Millenium Park. It would be hard to return to Chicago and stay anywhere else!
Beautiful hotel all around. Incredible pool deck, one of the best I've seen, Upscale, and very clean. The noise from fire station nearby meant that we had to keep the balcony door closed and so it was a waste to pay the extra money for a balcony you can't enjoy. Very expensive parking.
Modern room, loved the shower.. Found the room servicw menu limited, very few items.
It is such a big hotel I found it chaotic especially with several different events going on. Crowds of people, lots of noise. Just too big a apace for me!

I arrived 2am and there was no reservation and the company never told me there was a problem with my card. Spend until 4am getting another reservation for next day and then arrived and there was no reservation again. They ruined my entire business trip. had to spend half day looking for another hotel. The first night Marriott accommodated me in a room that was not what I expected. At least had a place to sleep. They were kind and very helpful, but the room I got was not what I expected. But It wasn't hotel's fault was getaroom.com fault.
Location Old, small rooms, poor plumbing. It's an embarrassment for Marriot. Don't stay here
Location and decent sized, clean rooms. We booked day of stay and got a good rate. I would actually rate it a 3.5, but I didn't have that option. Extremely uncomfortable, stiff sheets.

This hotel is exactly what you'd expect from a stay in Downtown Chicago. Imposing structure, bustling atmosphere, and lofty prices. The central location couldn't be beat and the view provides you a look at the city no matter which direction you face. Room was clean and modern. After some initial difficulties, a new room was provided and sorted out with a credit to be used with breakfast (delicious breakfast, but expect to be charged the Chicago price for it). The price for staying directly on the Magnificent Mile shouldn't be surprising. The lobby was constantly occupied and persistently loud, which also is indicative of a stay in Chicago. The initial room assignment seemed to belong to another individual as there appeared to be clothing in the closet and a suitcase laid out when the door upon a very brief inspection from the cracked door. After informing the front desk, a new room was quickly assigned...but only one of the two keys ended up working. After our final trip to the front desk, we were in better shape and the breakfast the next day was delicious. The room was by no means spacious, but exactly in what you'd expect from Chicago standards. Don't forget you'll be paying for parking, which is at least simplified by the ability to charge to your room.
Great newly updated rooms and incredible gym that puts many Health Clubs to shame. Room Svc leaves a bit to be desired but luckily they're located in great proximity to many great restaurants.
Please get Keurig coffee pots in each room
The best part is that the Merriot is in the "heart of the city". Offsite parking.
The view from the room was very good The staff was excellent. The place had a very modern feel and look. The bed was very comfortable I would go back. The room did not have enough outlets. The room was small for the cost.
Great for a business trip where you don't spend a ton of time in the room. Not so great for a couple's getaway weekend. Room was rather small and room was in need of upgrades.
We stayed at the Club Quarters because it's a block away from the Chicago passport office, and was reasonably priced. Checkin and staff were great, very helpful and attentive, very accommodating. The business center in the basement is very convenient, however, it didn't offer color printing and we were prepping for a visit to the passport office which required color printing. The staff have me a list of kinkos/fedex offices which offered color printing, however the list was outdated and I wasted an hour running all over the city following old information. I share this with the staff and hope they have updated the info. I would have gladly paid for color printing, and was wishing I spent the extra $$ to stay at a Hilton, which reliably has color printing.
The room layouts are convenient, the cleanness of the hotel is up to par, and the hotel is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Chicago and there is a convenient social bar downstairs! Customer service representatives at the front desk were not helpful. I personally would not recommend this hotel before another hotel because of the service I received; but the hotel is very nice and in a great location.
The location is absolutely perfect if you're visiting Chicago from out of town. However, the rooms are small and basic so if you're not planning on staying in the room that much it's perfect.
Outstanding service and staff. The room was clean and they had a fitness room that wasn't busy. Also, they had these purified water stations on each floor. Very small room and the treadmills were pretty low quality.
Free wifi and free water. My "queen" bed was really two twin beds pushed together which lead to an uncomfortable nights sleep. The room was also the size of a closet but I was too exhausted from my flight to put up a stink.
My wife and I have always stayed north of the river but chose this one to stay in a different part of the city but be close to everything. We loved the location to CTA stops because used that to get around the city. We loved the location's proximity to basically anything that we needed. The staff was very informative and friendly. My wife enjoyed the chilled water bottle stations on each floor. The elevator runs very quick compared to other Chicago hotels that we have stayed at. The room service and food deliveries run late into the night. We purchased our room online so maybe we were not given the best room. Our room was in a "hole" of sorts. There was absolutely zero views from the small window and barely any sunshine. The size of the flatscreen tv left much to be desired. Most hotels now at least have a 40" tv. There was no microwave in the room and not one that we could access down in the lobby area. The bed was not overly comfortable. Again, we loved most things about hotel because we chose it more as a crash location, not a place to stay all day.
It was a great place to stay - stayed here for business travel. They're professional all around. Don't get a car here; expensive for parking. You shouldn't have one in Chicago anyway.
TV service did not offer NBC and possibly ABC. Otherwise a great place and location. The other stay a couple of weeks ago - the phone did not work. Could't call to the front desk. Phone was dead and even after reporting this continued to be dead for the whole week.
Location and value
Loved the free coffee and water on each level. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Walls were thin, and you could hear other guests making noises and playing music in their rooms.
