I dropped off my vehicle at 5:15am at LAX rental center. There was one employee a couple of cars ahead of me She said I can go if there was no damage. I accidentally left the keys in my pocket. I realized this at the airport and gave them to the dollar shuttle driver to get them back. At the airport I saw that they charged me $500 for the keys. No tried to contact me and obviously I had the keys. I was still at the rental center when my car was checked in. I tried multiple times to call the rental office at LAX. The phone rings three times then hangs up. I wrote a complaint to them. Two days later and the charge is still on my credit card. The fact that it is impossible to speak to anyone is so infuriating.Reviewed May 22 2026

Car was supposed to be ready for me when I got to the lot. I had to go to the counter. Rep informed me I could not use AAA and I had to buy roadside assistance at a significant uncharge. Return there was no service until a parking lot guy told me to just leave it after 15 minutes of waiting and told me they'd send a bill. It wasn't really great.Reviewed Feb 28 2026

Although I reserved a car and checked-in prior to arriving, Dollar did not a car available when I arrived. It was a sad scene. At 1am, about a dozen customers were in the same position. No cars were available. Staff were indignant, unhelpful, and rude. I will never rent from Dollar again. I highly recommend that no one ever rent from this facility ever again.Reviewed Feb 14 2026

The front desk would not honor my reservation with kayak. He jacked up the price. He gave me a filthy vehicle. He did not provide a walk around. The vehicle fuel was not full. He charged me over a $100.00 for fuel on my contract without letting me know before leaving. He did not pull the vehicle into the parking lot; instead, he parked the vehicle in the gutter with two feet of water streaming by the driver door so that I had to walk through water to get in. They could not rent me a car based on what QEEQ did or said in the system. I did not get a car. They were incredibly unprofessional and disorganized. The representative seemed inept What several letters were simply rude and unprofessional. I would never ever recommend anyone to rent from that facility.Reviewed Dec 28 2024
