    Pros: Extremely helpful crew when they saw I was handicapped I was offered a ride by car to the terminal. So helpful. I was very pleasantly surprised at how thoughtful a simple courtesy could be
    Cons: The system assigned me an off airport pick up and drop off even though I specifically asked for LAX

    Pros: Choosing your car from the designated zone is a nice feature though there are downsides as will be explained later. The price we got for our rental was also amazing. And the staff inside the office was very helpful.
    Cons: We had to get an infant car seat and this is where the "choose your own car" aspect fell apart because we also had to install the car seat ourselves. Maybe this is just a case of us being first time parents and only really having experience with our own car seat but we were at the lot for about 20 minutes trying to figure out how to install the seat before we were finally good to go. It would have been nice to have some staff nearby to help us out.

    Poor service overall
    Pros: They didn't give me a rental car, so there was nothing to like. They did reimburse my rental (I think) and the lady was nice on the phone.
    Cons: When I was in person at the Long Beach airport, the wifi was down and I couldn't even rent a new car (which I was going to have to pay triple my previous price for). I waited a long time then nothing came of it so I went over to National because Hertz said they couldn't help me and I was helped very quickly there.

    Two LAX locations, no information, and gave our car away
    Pros: The LAX Airport location was gracious and took our reservation even though it was for another location (2 blocks away). Although it was quite painful to get there, we were treated well and got our vehicle and were on our way. Ensure your reservation is the LAX Airport location on Airport Blvd.
    Cons: First of all, the agent kiosk is usable I guess, if you just need your keys. The agent I spoke to over video, who was on the other side of the country, by the way, couldn't do anything to help me when we realized the reservation was not at that location. She advised me to go to the other location instead of talking to a real person not more than 15 feet away. Dear Hertz, advise your remote agents to punt to a local agent instead of asking your customer to LEAVE. Now, turns out there are TWO Hertz locations at LAX. The one the Hertz shuttle takes you to, and then the one in the Hilton Hotel. Our reservation had NO information that we reserved at the Hotel. We take the Hertz shuttle (driver doesn't say there are two locations) to the wrong location only to have to leave my family and baggage and Uber -- yes UBER -- they "didn't have any drivers" to take me to the other location. Our plane was 90 min late. The hotel location GAVE OUR CAR AWAY, and it was my fault I didn't call them. I was told to "just have a seat in the lobby and we'll find you a car and come get you." Just have a seat in the lobby and wait. On a Friday afternoon. At LAX. I could feel the traffic outside getting worse. I finally asked them what they meant by "find me a car." It means they call other locations to see if there are vehicles available. I ask them why they can't get a car from the location my family is sitting at 2 blocks away? "It doesn't work like that." WHAT? I pull up their website and show they have vehicles available, "You can't go by that." WHAT?? My wife finaly talks to an agent at the airport location, and FINALLY someone actually wants our business and not only rents us the car at the rate we reserved last FEBRUARY, gives us a discount as well. If your Hertz reservation says it's on 5711 West Century Blvd Los Angeles, CA, do NOT use it. They don't want your business.
