The guy at the counter interrogated me
Pros: Thought I liked the deal
Cons: The guy didn't greet me very amicably. While in queue at the Thrifty counter, I was approached by a man wearing a blue polo beatingthe Dollar/ Thrifty monicker. He said to me, "You can go over to the Dollar counter as all the agents here are busy with customers." I looked at him doubously, he assured me pointing to his polo shirt with the logo. "It's ok, just tell them it is a Thrifty reservation. They can look it up." I walked over 2 counters, stood in line, first in line. After no one rushing to greet/ assist. Finally one gentleman gestures me over to his counter. I let the man know I was sent by a genteleman whom approached me while in queue at Thrifty. Instead of helping me complete my transaction, he asks very rudely. "Why did you come here yo this counter, who told you to come here?" I said, "I've told you whom and where and why. The man said you can help me, why are you getting upset with me? He wore a polo bearing your companies verbiage. I didn't think the man was lying to me, can you help me or not?" He reluctantly looked up the reservation after being difficult, supposedly unable to see a confirmation number on the screen capture I was demonstrating to him with brightness on 100% and zoomed about 300x. He says, "Deposit is $104.00." I ask, "Will my card be charged the deposit now? I was hoping to pay cash" he replies, "That can only be done upon returning vehicle." I state, "I have a debit card that I can put the deposit on. In my car." He says, "Ok but it must bear the Visa logo, and cannot be prepaid." Upon making the reservation I remember saying I could in fact use a prepaid card. I gave up then and decided not yo try and complete the rental. Thanks for nothing.

    Great car, great gas savings!
Pros: Six cars were lined up at the easy to get to Las Vegas Airport Thrifty parking lot ready for us to choose one and simply drive off. We chose a new, comfortable Hybrid and saved a lot on gas.
    Cons: Nothing.

Pros: I finally ended up with the Ford Fusion that I wanted.
Cons: I chose Thrifty for an American car. At the counter, they said a Ford would be "doable". In the lot, there was one Chevy Impala and a bunch of Japanese trash. The Impala had a bad bearing which wobbled like crazy on the highway, so I had to return it. Once again, the clerk offered the cars I didn't want. I noticed a Ford Fusion in another area, and asked about it. After much hemming and hawing, they finally gave it to me. I paid extra (for Thrifty over others) because their listing with you specifically offered American brand cars. That's what I wanted all along. Now I know not to trust that listing with Kayak.

    A financial headache
Pros: Probably just the car to be honest.
Cons: The fact that the agent(Gary from Dollar Rental) charged me twice on my account for car insurance even though I already purchased the travel insurance through kayak. I didn't appreciate the fact that I was told there would be a $227 dollar hold but in actually they held over $300 which overdrafted my account. The service I received at drop off when they told me there was nothing they could really do to fix the overage charges and that I had to contact the corporate office. I'm just really disappointed seeing as how kayak let me know that I was paying less than $100 but I ended up being charged $190 and that's almost double of what I saw when I signed up for the rental online.
