The helpful and professional attitude of the staff Room was small
Staff was most helpful, a real strength. Honors bar, not dining facility but many great places within the block. Proximity to the intersection of Respail and Montparness boulevards is a real asset. Not exactly 'didn't like' but rooms were a bit small, not unusual for an urban European hotel. Some wear and tear but nothing serious.
Friendly and helpful staff. Free internet access. Afternoon tea and coffee in the lounge. For a small street it was surprisingly noisy.
We were pleased overall, but we were especially grateful for the very helpful staff.
location, hotel honesty bar, ambience and decor, helpful staff no
It was a placed in a very good location, near the metro stops, near to shops and restaurants so making it very accessible to the city centre. Staff were very helpful and spoke very good English, would recomment to anyone, and would to back. Clean room and good sized ensuite, very adequate for our needs, cot in our room for our toddler also. Could not recommend it enough. Breakfast was pricey but we choose to go to a nearby cafe which was very good.
romantic decor ,very clean , helpful staffs, new appliances , free tv internet in your room! , strategic neighbourhood , easy access everywhere. small room , but sigh ... this is paris ...
reception can speak english :-) / Breakfast is very nice parking is too narrow :-)
The staff was knowledgeable, spoke English well and were always ready to give advice.
The staff are charming and the hotel is in the centre of Montparnasse. Vastly over priced.
Excellent staff, clean and comfortable rooms, good facilities and superb location. The only mirrors in the hotel room were in the bathroom which made getting ready a bit more time consuming.
Very good value.
free fruits Room number 36 was teeming with bed bugs. After two days of staying at this room I found at least 20 big bites on my body. It was a nightmare! Thank god we didn't take our baby girl with us!
They allowed me to check into my room several hours early. Very helpful staff.
Good location near the train station and pleasant neighborhood. The hotel was grossly overpriced. We know Paris is expensive, but other places we stayed were as nice or nicer and less costly
Good location. Well connected to the metro. Too expensive for the room size... but totally expectable for Paris.. in late june.. booked 1 day in advance. So no real complaints.
I would never go back this hotel, first of all the staff at the front desk are not kind at all. Compare with other hotel, the room has no light, no epace to respiration and the staff are not ready to get costomers. They were busy what they were doing even i had been waiting for asking some questions. After all returning back their unkind faces...! With this price... i would not recommend this hotel to anyone i know. The other hotel i was before people and room were much nicer. After paying the bill not even say good bye...! So disappointed.
the location is great, the hotel itself is on a lovely little street and very close to a Metro which is only 5 stops fromt the Champs Elysees. the rooms were so small...if you have a big suitcse forget it! also the matresses were really really soft and uncomfortable if you are use to a hard matress, it made for 3 poor nights sleep.
Very nice hotel, newly refurbished rooms, excellent value for money
Even though a single room, it was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was a bit disappointing with very average coffee.
The staff was very helpful. We left Paris in a day of transport strike, almost impossible to get a last moment taxi to the airport, and the girl who was there found one for us! Everything was OK, and I enjoyed very much the surroundings.
It's a good 3-star hotel actually: cozy, friendly staff, comfy rooms, etc. Fantastic mid-range hotel for a weekend trip to Paris. The only two things I didnt like was: A) The room's carpet was very dirty and B) the breakfast (while excellent) was an extra 11 euros per person and per day, which seems a bit steep.
Room is clean. I asked Taxi reservation.I waited about 15min.But Taxi is not coming and I pay some Money.
Staff were very friendly. Great location beside a Metro The room was actually too hot
Location, Room was Quiet & very clean. Staff very helpful. Room decor was tired & needed replacing.
Very decent quality for what, at Paris standards, is a very good price. Good choice overall.
The Hotel Aiglon staff was excellent in assisting a non speaking french guest. The room were much smaller than America's typical hotel room however the room was perfect for our use. I would stay here again .. One additional advantage in staying at the Aiglon was it's location to mutiple cafe's and the Metro on Raspail. I enjoyed an excellent experience at this hotel.
The location is great for both good food locally, sight-seeing and a short hop on the metro (station opposite) to shopping, museums, galleries and a direct link to gare du nord. For the rate, this was a good value hotel. The great location also meant traffic noise and the room was too hot, opening the window let the noise in.
Best hotel I've ever stayed in in Paris excellant value for money, very clean well decorated and staff very friendly.
Quad room was perfect for our group. We really liked the set up of the room, as well. Location was convenient. Maid staff was a little loud in the mornings, but it wasn't until 0830. If you wanted to sleep in late , it didn't work so well!
Location was ideal, and great breakfast. Room was quiet. Except for the Barman, the staff were excellent. The room was pretty basic, TV channels useless for non French speakers, and getting a drink in the bar nearly impossible, either because nobody was there, or it had closed early!
Clean rooms, good pricing, good location Electronic card key lock, all keys had to be reprogrammed due to booking inconsistencies.
Location. It was a convenient walk (20 minutes?) to museums; shopping was nearby The hotel had no restaurant. Also, the small bar had no bartender one night during my stay, so I could not get a glass of wine to sip while I worked on my computer.
Everything was excellent
the comfortobility and its closest to the center there was just a hot water in bath, no cold one
spacious room and bath. cleanliness and good service Not very central.
Nice sized room, pleasant staff, location ok, close to trains & quiet, good internet access & air conditioning Standard room rates a bit high for location & quality; also high charge for breakfast
Staff where fantastic, giving advice and organizing outings/things we wished to do (even before we had arrived my wife had contact then and they organized dinner reservations at our favorite restaurant and a night out). we where in europe for a month and this hotel although was the most expensive was the least impressive (i think that might be Paris hotels in general though)
Good and helpful staff, nice room, comfortable bed
the location was excellent, how the room was furnished and its atmosphere.
the hotel was very clean and staff were helpful when needed. My husband used to sauna and said it was great. the restaurant that was supposed to be there wasn't. I think they were using the back bar area as the restaurant. It didn't look all that inviting and nobody seemed to go into it.
The staff are most helpful, the room clean and everything worked in the room. Occasional queue at breakfast, but it was at peak times.
Nice rooms, good view, friendly staff. The price of beer is quite extrodinary! 9 Euros for a large beer is double the price in London and very expensive.
I loved the setting of the hotel, the decor and the fantastic ambiance. n/a
The staff were very polite and courteous and more than willing to help Rooms are smaller than I am used to
Very clean and comfortable. Very convenient having secure parking facility.
The location was really good. The staff was also very professional and pleasant. The morning continental breakfast was really poor.
The hotel is close to the metro, about 100 meters from gaite metro. Around the hotel we can find a lot of restaurants. We had a special rate and we got a small room but the room is still nice and very comfortable. However, it is not recommended to bring lots of luggages otherwise there's no room for them.
friendly staff, clean rooms, excellent location with many bars/restaurants in direct vicinity there happened to be a problem with the hotel's A/C during the weekend of our stay, causing us to change rooms/floors several times, which was not great..
Everythinh was wanderful, the hotel, the room, location, staff. I recomend this hotel.
The location, prize per night and lovely Hotel. Excellent of going with children. We would absolutely pick the same Hotel. People in reception very kind and helpful. Rooms very clean, coasy and warm. Silent nights. The beds were a little bit hard.
The location of the hotel was perfect for our stay - close to transport links but quiet at night. Breakfast was over priced
Nice, quiet and confortable room, big enough for two persons (and bags). The hotel wasn't close to Paris main attractions, even so it was inserted in very nice area and very close to subwaystation. Althouth the room was very quiet, in the morning we were able to ear footsteeps in the room abouve ours.
The staff are friendly and helpful and the location is good with easy access to the metro. The bed was too small.
close to the metro stations. quiet. no
really a nice hotel
perfect location. quite confortable. I will come back to the hotel again in the next visit to Paris.
facilities, location and atmosphere
The room was surprisingly spacious for the price, there was plenty of room to walk around and dress. It was also clean and wonderfully comfortable. The hotel itself is close to 2 metro stations making it really easy to get around the city. Our room was out the back of the hotel as opposed to in the main hotel which was fine only that the staff were reluctant to leave a light on for us to get to and from the hotel which was annoying the first night but after a brief argument they agreed to leave it on as soon as it got dark.
location close to the Luxembourg Garden limited space
Great location uber comfortable beds Great location to the train station!!
For a central hotel in Paris it was very quiet and accesible to the city attrations
Patrricia who greeted us at the front desk was very welcoming and helpful. It was within easy acess of the Metro for sightseeing trip of Paris. It was within easy access of trains station for TGV to South of France. Appreciated the internet access in the lobby. There was a conference of some type going on and access to the dining room was denied to other guests. We were forced to eat at high tables/bar stools (uncomfortable for a evening dinner), which are basically a part of the lobby. The conference people gathered in the lobby, so a quiet dinner for us was impossible. The dining service staff were not at all welcoming or helpful. When several guests (we did too) pointed out that the conference guests were only using about 1/4 of the dining room reserved for them (happened 3 out of 3 nights we were there) ...we/they were spokenn to very brusquely stating that we could sit in the other lobby type area or go elsewhere. I will recommend this hotel to friends but will not recommend the dining .
its fine but expensive. breakfast was not included in rate and it was very expensive as well.
The room we stayed had enough space to feel confirtable and clean. In the confirmation of the reservation, it was written that the hotel fare should be paid at the hotel as usual for Booking com. But I knew that the cost had been withdrawn from my credit card as soon as I booked this hotel via Booking.com. When I asked the person at the reception about this at the check-in, she was really offensive to me although I just wanted to make sure if I did not have to pay for the hotel. Did I do anything wrong!?
Excellent service from check-in to check-out and beyond! I forgot one of my bags at the hotel and only found out about it after I reached the Airport. Within minutes of calling the hotel, the staff found my bag , called a taxi and called back to confirm details of when and where I would meet up with the taxi driver. Needless to say, I had a very short window of time or I would miss my plane, the fact that the hotel's staff took this isseue as serious as they did and the speed with which they reacted saved my trip from a sad ending. I will be back to this hotel as all other aspects were also great.
Furniture and interior decor are relatively modern. Hotel room was clean, i appreciate separate shower and toilet. Breakfast was a bit disorganized. No smaller plates, not enough napkins if need for more than one. I requested gluten free bread, but it was not supplied despite the staff mentioned to me that it could be made available.
Good location near the centre of Paris, excellent facilities, clean rooms, friendly staff Boiler on top of the room was quite noisy (room on the 8th floor)
Room was very modern and quite. Bed was comfortable. Staff were very helpful.
Staff was great
The hotel was in a good location but be prepared to walk. Good breakfast and a quiet room. They messed up my final bill, I settled my bill the night before due to an early departure. I had been charged for someone else's dinner. This was sorted. However, in the morning I was called to the desk and informed that I had not settled my bill and there was yet another dinner charge against my room number, even though it was plainly not my signature. Not confident I won't be charged for this meal.
The hotel was clean with a great view and I particularly liked the sound proof rooms Breakfast not being included
The central location - just a cross the road from Montparnasse Tower - easy acces to Metro, and a lot of good shops, bars and restaurant just outside the hotel. Not luxury, but nice and clean. A little bit worn-out, small rooms.
Friendly helpful staff, good location, clean bathroom Overpriced for standard of accomodation. Room is far too small to be advertised as a Twin Room. No air conditioning.
good location, friendly english speaking staff, nice clean bathrooms tiny lifts, boring breakfast
The staff was very kind and helpful
Excellent location, a very convenient metro station nearby the door, rooms though a little small well decorated, nice and helpful staff Paying awfully expensive Wifi
Everything was very good. Good location close to shopping street, plenty of reataurants around with quite goof French food. Close to all famouse places of Paris. Hotel clean, not noisy, not looking to that that windows go out to bussy street. Everything is good Just price I think is too big.
Location, Metro station was right out the front door, took us everwhere we wanted to go. I misunderstood the desk staff when I was told there was complimentary drinks in the hotel frig. Complimentary in the states means "free" ....I know now that it means a full compliment.
Good location. Lots of stores and restaurants. Good bed and shower. Helpful staff. All Paris hotel rooms ave very small, and this was no exception. We faced the back, which was very quiet.
cleanliness of room and reception staff no tea & coffee in room
Small, clean, secure and well located. Rumble - noise from metro.
The breakfast and the common area is nice The rooms are too small and not well furnished
The bathroom was quiet new and clean Too small room (it is bigger on the photos). Small cabine of douche. Poor and smelly gardrobe.
There was a change of management during my 7 day stay with a noticeable change in service at the front desk. It was too late to do anything about the room decor. I would have moved hotel but there where no alternatives. The paint work needed a refresh and the bathroom needed gutting
Nothing! Absolutely nothing! The room is the size of a shoe box, staff is very very unpolite and not helpful at all, elevator is tiny and no internet available in the loby and you have to pay to acess it from your room.Be aware that the photos from the website had nothing to do with the real hotel room!!!
Proximity of the theatres
good location, efficient staff small rooms and thin walls, kept awake by the guy next door snoring
Central location. Very unfriendly staff, very bad value for money
The fact that we arrived late and left early. The hotel is quite run down and dilapidated. the room was very cramped and the en suite facilities miniscule. The staff had done their best to clean the very scruffy room but were obviously fighting a losing battle. The pictures on the Bookings.com website are misleading as they were obviously taken many years ago and maintenance since had been minimal. We had planned to to stay there on our return to Paris but cancelled the booking and found another, a vastly superior, hotel with more facilities for the same price
The Unic Renoir was a great hotel. Very close to Monparnasse and a short walk to the city. Good position also for the Eiffel Tower.
The rooms a little small and not too much space for the suitcases. I had a bad experience with one of the concierges. When my father wasn't feeling well and had to stay all day long at the hotel, I asked for a lamp for the night table and he came up with the lamp and screaming that the hotel wasn't a hospital. The next morning I tried to talk with the other concierge, but he was alone and very busy.
Tu be in the district of Montparnasse I can't have the room I asked for and the WI-FI was out of work
I was told that breakfast was included when we checked in but when we checked out we were charged seperately for breakfast. The cost was not excessive and breakfast was pretty decient .Hotel was about 2 blocks from the subway which we found very difficult to navigate.
Bad smell always in the bathroom as though the drains were chocked
Location. Bath didn't work - shower did, so no problem.
The location was good, and overall satisfactory. Free Internet service is only available in the lobby, not in the rooms, and most ports are closed. The hotel requires some improvements because rooms looks a bit old and some items are not working properly (lights, refrigerator, etc.)
shower did not work. Room extremely small
Location, I got a discounted rate for the room and that said service was adequate to the cost Lack of free Internet connection in the rooms which for a 4* hotel should've been provided
well situated declining standard. Bathroom smells from mould. too much spray when cleaning the rooms.
The location was excellent there're lots of cafes, restaurants and cinemas around. Also a small shopping center with Galeries Lafayette Free wifi internet is only available in the lobby...
Location, good place to start from in the morning, especially with the subway and bike station nearby. The dripping tap, small room, not really clean (a bit dusty), not a non-smoking room althoug requested and most of all the relatively lousy bed (too old, even I had a backache when getting up in the morning).
The location was very nice. Close to subway system, and centrally located to all of the tourist attractions. A nice surrounding safe area with lots of nearby cafe's and bars to choose from.
Nice location,parking lot.
It was very convenient for us. The Metro was close by. Lots of places to eat close by. Remodeling being done on our floor. Dirty.
I appreciated the good price/quality relation as well as the design of the hotel and the room (nice modern urban design without overdoing it). Staff was quite friendly and helpful. Being asked at check-in to sign a form that prohibits a number of issues including bringing your own drinks to the room. What if I want to bring a bottle of water I bought while doing sightseeing in Paris? Would I break a house rule by doing so? I was never asked to sign a similar form before in another hotel and found that a bit awkward.
the area it was in Restaurant for evening meal too small, little selection so went out for meals
near metro, near restaurants, everything was good.
Hotel was very warm and comfortable, staff were very helpful. We arrived in the early evening and hotel staff were able to recommend some restaurants within a couple of minutes walk.
great location, right at the metro station.
tidy modern rooms
the room was quiet and dark The check in staff did not explain to me or my colleague how to use the door key. They also did not explain how to use the in-room telephone. I needed a taxi early the next morning but they would not book a taxi for me during the previous evening (and since it was impossible to figure out how to use the phone, I couldn't phone down to reception in the morning!). There were no instructions in the room for the telephone etc. I could not work out how the bathroom sink tap worked (it had a nice designer look, but it was impossible to figure out how to get cold water from the tap!)
The cleaners were friendly and helpful. At least the front desk staff helped with directions to various destinations. Very rude and unfriendly front desk staff. We had to wait at least 20minutes for someone to come and help with the problems in the bathroom. Worst breakfast ever, Only Mohan was friendly and helpful...no smiles from the staff...they were just doing us a favour by being there....terrible
Well appointed room, tastful decor, great staff. nothing
The staff were excellent, well informed and friendly. The decor was lovely and our room as great. Nothing
Perfect service. Very helpful crew.
excellent room and location
The room was fantastic! Cost of breakfast was astronomical.
We liked the friendly staff and the privacy that was given to us! The service was also good and the room extremely clean! Breakfast could have more options.
The staff were all so friendly and enthusiastic plus extremely helpful. The rooms were all redecorated with modern facilities. The location of the hotel was perfect for a weekend in Paris. we could walk everywhere we wanted to go and loved the local markets on Sunday morning.
location, design price is a bit high
The helpful english speaking staff. Welcoming reception. The spotty WiFi service. Our room was on the 5th floor.
The location was fabulous, the beds were incredible and the staff were over the top.
Friendly, comfortable, delightful! Quite expensive for the best rooms
Good small hotel, comfortable, friendly atmosphere, helpful staff (e.g. on tips for restaurants, with taxis etc), clean room, excellent bathroom, and brilliant location - easy walk to St.Germain, the river and the centre of Paris. Plenty of good eating or shopping within easy walking distance. Would happily use again. No downsides. Excellent location for weekend city visit, or longer.
While there were hairs from previous guests in the bathroom, the tile and stainless steel was sparkling and the tub was good for soaking. Small room, small in-room safe, no place for baggage, hairs in linens and in bathroom.
Charming does not begin to describe this hotel. I prefer: "Work of Art"
It was a perfect boutique hotel experience - lovely rooms and staff went out of their way to assist. Location is ideal for tucked away gourmet French restaurants and the best shopping. Too short!
st beuve is very lovely, well appointed and reasonablely priced. i will recommend it to my family and i will definately be returning. the staff was pleasant and helpful. i liked it so much
Perfect location, friendly and helpfull staff. Quite rooms with good comfort.
A little gem, spotlessly clean, bedrooms medium size & tastefully decorated, very quiet location & the staff were courteous & extremly helpful. This hotel is far superior than some of the four star hotels we have used. For a city hotel we would not hesitate to use it again. The hotel is easy for the metro, buses and rer train. There is a good selection of restaurants & patisseries close by. Nothing
a beautiful and lovely hotel no
Comfortable, well-appointed room. Very helpful people at front desk. Location is convenient, a 10-15 minute walk from most anywhere you would want to go on the Left Bank.
Clean large rooms, friendly staff Wifi was tough to navigate, but worked well.
Staff spoke English and French professionally. Hotel was clean and no non-sense. I don't like how city taxes are not included in the initial hotel price. This is more a problem with French regulation than with the particular hotel. All hotels in France seem to do this.
The view from our room was beautiful, the location was close to everything. Appreciate the security since being down town elevators only worked with room key. For someone who does travel solo at times this was a nice peace of mind. Staff was wonderful and accommodating.
Loved the shower and bathroom. Bed was also good. No real free TV channels available
The location was safe and convenient, front desk personnel was polite and friendly, the room was clean, the bathroom was designed nicely, the breakfast was reasonably priced (and basic). Small room (seems to be the norm in Paris)
Staff were very accommodating, location was excellent for our needs.Hotel currently in final stages of renovations, very pleased with cleanliness of room. The rooms were small, but more than suitable for a short stay.
My wife and I stayed in this hotel in November 2010 because it is conveniently located with respect to the apartment where our son and his wife live. However, Paris is a small city and this hotel is only 2km from Notre Dame and 2km from the Eiffel Tower, so it is pretty central. There are several Metro stations close by and, of course, the famous Paris bicycles. We really liked the hotel The staff were very friendly and spoke perfect English - they also put up with our attempts to converse with them in French. The hotel obviously has been recently renovated. Our room was nicely decorated, very clean with a modern bathroom and separate toilet. The room was fairly small but you don't come to Paris to sit in your hotel room! Good value. Nothing that we didn't like.
Close to a metro station and easy to find. Very limited facilities, very small room, gave the impression of being run on a budget
Nice room, convenient for metro, pleasant staff. The lift seems to be directly over a drain!!
