Check in was very smooth, room was exactly what was represented, junior suite was very spacious and nice, good value for money, convenient to metro
The hotel staff was very helpful and kind,, and they tried to accommodate your needs. The location was ok.
Beautifully restored and transformed Dominican convent furnished with understated good taste. The staff was extremely helpful, courteous and attentive. Breathtaking view of Taormina and the sea. Luxurious garden. Breakfast buffet was the best we've ever experienced. A must. No
It was a lovely hotel. It is elegant and comfortable. The elevators are very small
I enjoyed my stay at the Victoria Palace Hotel immensely. The front desk staff was very accomodating particulary with tourist sites, transportation, dining, etc. The location was excellent with many bus lines just a short walk away. A mini coffee maker would have been a nice touch!
Staff spoke English and French professionally. Hotel was clean and no non-sense. I don't like how city taxes are not included in the initial hotel price. This is more a problem with French regulation than with the particular hotel. All hotels in France seem to do this.
The view from our room was beautiful, the location was close to everything. Appreciate the security since being down town elevators only worked with room key. For someone who does travel solo at times this was a nice peace of mind. Staff was wonderful and accommodating.
Clean large rooms, friendly staff Wifi was tough to navigate, but worked well.
Loved the shower and bathroom. Bed was also good. No real free TV channels available
its fine but expensive. breakfast was not included in rate and it was very expensive as well.
The hotel was in a good location but be prepared to walk. Good breakfast and a quiet room. They messed up my final bill, I settled my bill the night before due to an early departure. I had been charged for someone else's dinner. This was sorted. However, in the morning I was called to the desk and informed that I had not settled my bill and there was yet another dinner charge against my room number, even though it was plainly not my signature. Not confident I won't be charged for this meal.
Great location uber comfortable beds Great location to the train station!!
The hotel was clean with a great view and I particularly liked the sound proof rooms Breakfast not being included
Excellent service from check-in to check-out and beyond! I forgot one of my bags at the hotel and only found out about it after I reached the Airport. Within minutes of calling the hotel, the staff found my bag , called a taxi and called back to confirm details of when and where I would meet up with the taxi driver. Needless to say, I had a very short window of time or I would miss my plane, the fact that the hotel's staff took this isseue as serious as they did and the speed with which they reacted saved my trip from a sad ending. I will be back to this hotel as all other aspects were also great.
Staff was great
Patrricia who greeted us at the front desk was very welcoming and helpful. It was within easy acess of the Metro for sightseeing trip of Paris. It was within easy access of trains station for TGV to South of France. Appreciated the internet access in the lobby. There was a conference of some type going on and access to the dining room was denied to other guests. We were forced to eat at high tables/bar stools (uncomfortable for a evening dinner), which are basically a part of the lobby. The conference people gathered in the lobby, so a quiet dinner for us was impossible. The dining service staff were not at all welcoming or helpful. When several guests (we did too) pointed out that the conference guests were only using about 1/4 of the dining room reserved for them (happened 3 out of 3 nights we were there) ...we/they were spokenn to very brusquely stating that we could sit in the other lobby type area or go elsewhere. I will recommend this hotel to friends but will not recommend the dining .
Good location near the centre of Paris, excellent facilities, clean rooms, friendly staff Boiler on top of the room was quite noisy (room on the 8th floor)
For a central hotel in Paris it was very quiet and accesible to the city attrations
Furniture and interior decor are relatively modern. Hotel room was clean, i appreciate separate shower and toilet. Breakfast was a bit disorganized. No smaller plates, not enough napkins if need for more than one. I requested gluten free bread, but it was not supplied despite the staff mentioned to me that it could be made available.
The room we stayed had enough space to feel confirtable and clean. In the confirmation of the reservation, it was written that the hotel fare should be paid at the hotel as usual for Booking com. But I knew that the cost had been withdrawn from my credit card as soon as I booked this hotel via Booking.com. When I asked the person at the reception about this at the check-in, she was really offensive to me although I just wanted to make sure if I did not have to pay for the hotel. Did I do anything wrong!?
Room was very modern and quite. Bed was comfortable. Staff were very helpful.
Hotel was very warm and comfortable, staff were very helpful. We arrived in the early evening and hotel staff were able to recommend some restaurants within a couple of minutes walk.
tidy modern rooms
great location, right at the metro station.
I appreciated the good price/quality relation as well as the design of the hotel and the room (nice modern urban design without overdoing it). Staff was quite friendly and helpful. Being asked at check-in to sign a form that prohibits a number of issues including bringing your own drinks to the room. What if I want to bring a bottle of water I bought while doing sightseeing in Paris? Would I break a house rule by doing so? I was never asked to sign a similar form before in another hotel and found that a bit awkward.
Nice location,parking lot.
near metro, near restaurants, everything was good.
the area it was in Restaurant for evening meal too small, little selection so went out for meals
The cleaners were friendly and helpful. At least the front desk staff helped with directions to various destinations. Very rude and unfriendly front desk staff. We had to wait at least 20minutes for someone to come and help with the problems in the bathroom. Worst breakfast ever, Only Mohan was friendly and helpful...no smiles from the staff...they were just doing us a favour by being there....terrible
the room was quiet and dark The check in staff did not explain to me or my colleague how to use the door key. They also did not explain how to use the in-room telephone. I needed a taxi early the next morning but they would not book a taxi for me during the previous evening (and since it was impossible to figure out how to use the phone, I couldn't phone down to reception in the morning!). There were no instructions in the room for the telephone etc. I could not work out how the bathroom sink tap worked (it had a nice designer look, but it was impossible to figure out how to get cold water from the tap!)
It was very convenient for us. The Metro was close by. Lots of places to eat close by. Remodeling being done on our floor. Dirty.
Staff was very nice No
Very nice hotel! Had a specious room (at leats for Paris), Provides fast internet access (both WIFI and cable). Because the hotel is fairly new, the equipment was so too. Excellent breakfast buffet. Will come again.
hotel stuffs are helpfull elevator is very slow
problem with car parking
All of the above, plus location and the breakfast.
modern design, clean rooms substandard breakfast in small, unpleasant room in the basement
It was easy to access transportation and move around the city. The rooms were too warm with no A/C. The street next to the windows were too noisy to open the window to cool the room.
Cant beat the location for access to transit and dining out.
Small and modern hotel with good service. No free wireless internet.
The hotel is very stylish and chique in a fantastic location in the centre of Montparnasse. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was beautiful. The breakfast looked a bit sparse and expensive, so we gave it a miss. The noise from the street cleaners and bottle bank emptiers was very loud!
The location is good, 200 m far from the underground stattion of Edgar. The area is full of bar and restaurant where is possible to have the "petit dejeuner", the breakfast for 5/6 euros. The lights in the room where not enought, it was difficult to see inside my bag! The breakfast is crazily expensive (21 euros/head!) When we arrived they gave us a room with 2 bads instead of 1 double bad, and i had to ask for it and they gave us a new room.
Very decent quality for what, at Paris standards, is a very good price. Good choice overall.
Best hotel I've ever stayed in in Paris excellant value for money, very clean well decorated and staff very friendly.
The location is great for both good food locally, sight-seeing and a short hop on the metro (station opposite) to shopping, museums, galleries and a direct link to gare du nord. For the rate, this was a good value hotel. The great location also meant traffic noise and the room was too hot, opening the window let the noise in.
The staff was very helpful. We left Paris in a day of transport strike, almost impossible to get a last moment taxi to the airport, and the girl who was there found one for us! Everything was OK, and I enjoyed very much the surroundings.
Staff were very friendly. Great location beside a Metro The room was actually too hot
Location, Room was Quiet & very clean. Staff very helpful. Room decor was tired & needed replacing.
Quad room was perfect for our group. We really liked the set up of the room, as well. Location was convenient. Maid staff was a little loud in the mornings, but it wasn't until 0830. If you wanted to sleep in late , it didn't work so well!
Room is clean. I asked Taxi reservation.I waited about 15min.But Taxi is not coming and I pay some Money.
The Hotel Aiglon staff was excellent in assisting a non speaking french guest. The room were much smaller than America's typical hotel room however the room was perfect for our use. I would stay here again .. One additional advantage in staying at the Aiglon was it's location to mutiple cafe's and the Metro on Raspail. I enjoyed an excellent experience at this hotel.
It's a good 3-star hotel actually: cozy, friendly staff, comfy rooms, etc. Fantastic mid-range hotel for a weekend trip to Paris. The only two things I didnt like was: A) The room's carpet was very dirty and B) the breakfast (while excellent) was an extra 11 euros per person and per day, which seems a bit steep.
The main good thing about the place -is it's location. The shower was good and the room-space was relatively reasonable. It's Clean. Some of the stuff very nice -but for some you are just disturbing... Even in Paris -you want to sleep. At least some hours. The bed was old and used-up. It's about time to change the matress / elavator was far stoo slow -hopless to wait. / room was supposed to be "no smoking" but had a strong smoking smell /
Room small and compact, good for sleeping, but not for spending other quality time. Conveniently located, near metro, great neighborhood, near many restaurants.
The easy city access. Many metro lines, almost in the centre. The elevator functioning through the room card.
The front desk staff were all very helpful. Small elevator and narrow hallways. Rooms are small also but manageable.
Location was good Non smoking room we had smelt like a smoking room
The hotel was very central and clean.
Good value Staff had some difficulty with English. The AC worked well in one room and poorly in another.
Great location. The room was clean and well equipped Very small room for two persons
A good hotel in a great location. But i was charged for a breakfast that i didnt have.
Very well situated.
Location. Very close to Vavin metro stop. Standard room was tiny, shower difficult to not get water on floor, closet won't hold standard hangers. Worst was heating system that ran too hot all week. Only solution was opening balcony door and listening to street noise all night.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good value, plenty of choice, staff very helpful
Location, helpful staff breakfast was included, but low-end
The staff were excellent, well informed and friendly. The decor was lovely and our room as great. Nothing
The helpful english speaking staff. Welcoming reception. The spotty WiFi service. Our room was on the 5th floor.
We liked the friendly staff and the privacy that was given to us! The service was also good and the room extremely clean! Breakfast could have more options.
Perfect service. Very helpful crew.
location, design price is a bit high
The room was fantastic! Cost of breakfast was astronomical.
Well appointed room, tastful decor, great staff. nothing
excellent room and location
The staff were all so friendly and enthusiastic plus extremely helpful. The rooms were all redecorated with modern facilities. The location of the hotel was perfect for a weekend in Paris. we could walk everywhere we wanted to go and loved the local markets on Sunday morning.
The location was fabulous, the beds were incredible and the staff were over the top.
Charming does not begin to describe this hotel. I prefer: "Work of Art"
a beautiful and lovely hotel no
Good small hotel, comfortable, friendly atmosphere, helpful staff (e.g. on tips for restaurants, with taxis etc), clean room, excellent bathroom, and brilliant location - easy walk to St.Germain, the river and the centre of Paris. Plenty of good eating or shopping within easy walking distance. Would happily use again. No downsides. Excellent location for weekend city visit, or longer.
It was a perfect boutique hotel experience - lovely rooms and staff went out of their way to assist. Location is ideal for tucked away gourmet French restaurants and the best shopping. Too short!
While there were hairs from previous guests in the bathroom, the tile and stainless steel was sparkling and the tub was good for soaking. Small room, small in-room safe, no place for baggage, hairs in linens and in bathroom.
st beuve is very lovely, well appointed and reasonablely priced. i will recommend it to my family and i will definately be returning. the staff was pleasant and helpful. i liked it so much
A little gem, spotlessly clean, bedrooms medium size & tastefully decorated, very quiet location & the staff were courteous & extremly helpful. This hotel is far superior than some of the four star hotels we have used. For a city hotel we would not hesitate to use it again. The hotel is easy for the metro, buses and rer train. There is a good selection of restaurants & patisseries close by. Nothing
Friendly, comfortable, delightful! Quite expensive for the best rooms
Perfect location, friendly and helpfull staff. Quite rooms with good comfort.
Comfortable, well-appointed room. Very helpful people at front desk. Location is convenient, a 10-15 minute walk from most anywhere you would want to go on the Left Bank.
fabulous location; staff could not be nicer; amenities and decorations very chic
Easiness of getting in and out. Free WIFI service. Tiny closet. Small bathroom. No eye contact greetings sometimes.
Freindly staff, clean room nicely decorated, good breakfast
Unfortunately one of our group was suffering from severe toothache. The staff at the hotel were great organising a dentist appointment & later calling out a doctor as her pain was so bad she couldn't sleep. They were very helpful and calm during the crisis which was a real comfort to us especially as were were in a foreign country.
The staff was exceptional. They made a great effort to make sure our stay was enjoyable and memorable. Not a thing. I will go back again.
Really good staff. small size. Location. Rather cramped. Leaking pipe.
new refurf so very clean. Hotel staff very helpful
Great staff. Everything about hotel was clean and comfortable. Room was extremely well soundproofed and on a quiet street right around the corner from metro and restaurants. Very well designed rooms for the size.
This small, modern and cosy hotel is a magical place. The staff were outstanding, friendly and helpful (a special thanks to Laurent that gave us the warmest welcoming). The best choice for our weekend in Paris.
An extremely comfortable and classy boutique hotel, well situated in Paris, close to RER for Airports, and convenient to most metro lines. As with many hotels like this, the rooms are small, but in this case beautifully decorated.
spacious room and bath. cleanliness and good service Not very central.
Clean rooms, good pricing, good location Electronic card key lock, all keys had to be reprogrammed due to booking inconsistencies.
Large room with excellent full bath. The hotel is convenient to Gare Montparnasse, St germain des pres. The hotel itself is lovely, old style. Will return. Everything hunky dory.
Nice sized room, pleasant staff, location ok, close to trains & quiet, good internet access & air conditioning Standard room rates a bit high for location & quality; also high charge for breakfast
the comfortobility and its closest to the center there was just a hot water in bath, no cold one
Location was ideal, and great breakfast. Room was quiet. Except for the Barman, the staff were excellent. The room was pretty basic, TV channels useless for non French speakers, and getting a drink in the bar nearly impossible, either because nobody was there, or it had closed early!
Staff where fantastic, giving advice and organizing outings/things we wished to do (even before we had arrived my wife had contact then and they organized dinner reservations at our favorite restaurant and a night out). we where in europe for a month and this hotel although was the most expensive was the least impressive (i think that might be Paris hotels in general though)
Good and helpful staff, nice room, comfortable bed
Location. It was a convenient walk (20 minutes?) to museums; shopping was nearby The hotel had no restaurant. Also, the small bar had no bartender one night during my stay, so I could not get a glass of wine to sip while I worked on my computer.
Everything was excellent
the location was excellent, how the room was furnished and its atmosphere.
L'hotel est bien placee,et il a un air romantique tres particulier non
location room is too small
Great location, lodged between montparnesse and saint germain. The hotels selling point is its larger double rooms. I stayed in one of the smaller cheaper ones which was average at best. The first night I stayed (Sunday) the noise on the street was horrendous until 6am, even though i requested and was assured a quiet room. All i wanted was a little piece and quiet......
Hotel staff pleasant, clean, close to all the main sites. would stay again towels
Loved the location, and the modern decor the hotel has. Staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms are small, and this is most noticeable with respect to the toilet (toilet only, as it is separate to the bathroom), it is smaller than a closet! If you come to Paris, you really shouldn't be planning to stay too long in your room, but there still should be more space.
Beautiful relaxing breakfast.Very efficient front desk. Comfortable bedroom.
Great downstairs lounge area with WiFi. Convenient location near shops, metro, parks. Helpful staff! Tiny hot room. Couldn't adjust temperature so had to move to another room. Second room still so hot had to frequently open the window.
Location good for exploring Paris. Good bed. Some helpful staff. Noisy plumbing, Tired looking bathroom, Only 1 iron for 40 rooms and staff that aren't prepared to find out where it is or if it's available for use.
The Parisian charm of the hotel and the surrounding area. The shower. You had to sit in the bath to have one, not easy!
location and staff No
The Ferrandi Hotel is very well situated in the sixth district of Paris for visits to major attractions (museums, shoppping, gardens, restaurants) as well as being in a district with considerable charm. I also appreciated the availability of free wifi in the rooms. It is in need of a refurbishment, as some features were a bit threadbare.
breakfast too expensive
quiietness inside the hotel, approximate to public transortations
Nearness of the metro Room was too hot at night with no control over temperature; maid walked in without knocking or announcing; towel warmer did not work; new internet password needed daily - not explained at check in; only one elevator worked
The location is good - within meters of the Gaite metro (line 13) and a short walk from the Montparnasse railway station. Service and facilities are at par with Parisian hotels available at significantly lower prices. I was mislead by the good reviews on this site. Maybe I was just unlucky with the room. It was #104.
The room size was good, comfortable beds, shower and bath and two sinks were great and the buffet breakfast. There were cafes nearby. The separat toillette had an offensive sewer smell.
Excellent staff and the hotel is clean and modern. Good location with nice resturants and theaters nearby.
The location was very close to the major attractions in Paris. Rooms were small but clean and newly renovated. The parking was for compact cars only. The fire alarm went off at 0300 in the morning for almost two consecutive hours.
Noise from the road
Availability of triple room. Breakfast included Room tight.
The Location is good and the staff are freindly Nothing
The location was really good. The staff was also very professional and pleasant. The morning continental breakfast was really poor.
Nice rooms, good view, friendly staff. The price of beer is quite extrodinary! 9 Euros for a large beer is double the price in London and very expensive.
the hotel was very clean and staff were helpful when needed. My husband used to sauna and said it was great. the restaurant that was supposed to be there wasn't. I think they were using the back bar area as the restaurant. It didn't look all that inviting and nobody seemed to go into it.
Very clean and comfortable. Very convenient having secure parking facility.
The hotel is close to the metro, about 100 meters from gaite metro. Around the hotel we can find a lot of restaurants. We had a special rate and we got a small room but the room is still nice and very comfortable. However, it is not recommended to bring lots of luggages otherwise there's no room for them.
Everythinh was wanderful, the hotel, the room, location, staff. I recomend this hotel.
The staff are most helpful, the room clean and everything worked in the room. Occasional queue at breakfast, but it was at peak times.
Roomier than many French hotel rooms, located close to Gare de Montparnasse, modern bathroom fixtures, standard in-room coffee maker... should be quite familiar to most Americans. Fairly noisy due to the adjacent place de Catalogne. Not the most exciting location in terms of restaurants and bars, but not too far away either. The room was generally quite clean, except that somehow they never bothered to clean around some of the light switches or outlets, which had consequently built up a gross layer of sticky dust.
friendly staff, clean rooms, excellent location with many bars/restaurants in direct vicinity there happened to be a problem with the hotel's A/C during the weekend of our stay, causing us to change rooms/floors several times, which was not great..
I loved the setting of the hotel, the decor and the fantastic ambiance. n/a
The staff were very polite and courteous and more than willing to help Rooms are smaller than I am used to
