I hated my entire time at the hotel
Parking place, sauna, swiming pool.
English speaking staff No top bed sheet
Nice to have a pool. Room was very nice, and staff accomodated our 4 person family by ugrading us to a suite at a reduced price.
The room was a little bit small. Was a little far from the center.
Contrary to some reviews on this site, I found the personnel at reception extremely friendly and helpful. I think Oceania actually have read the reviews, and must have instructed the personnel. Some reviewers talked about poor breakfast : untrue ! I took breakfast opposite hotel the 1st day : 11 euro buys you a croissant, orange juice, coffe, and 2 slices of bread and butter. You're much better served, and very friendly, again, in the hotel for 17 euro. It is true, there is no minibar in the room, the remote of the television set did not work very well (small tv also) and no wardrobes to be found. Finally, the 220V-connection is conventionally placed (earth connector at top) but just above the desk, which does not allow any apparatus to be inserted that has a transformer firmly connected to the plug.
Hotel was lovely, staff were really helpful, parking availability at hotel was excellent and a really good rate, very nice surprise!
Basically I chose the hotel only for the location, few steps from the exhibition centre....the rest is very average, food bad The welcome by the staff and the way they serve you
Excellent buffet breakfast. Close to Metro. Staff very helpful when we wanted directions to Parc de Princes.
Convenient position a short walk to the metro station. Staff v.friendly and helpful. Room v.modern but still comfortable. Swimming pool great. I stay in a lot of 4/5 star hotels and normally prefer older hotels, but I would definitely give this one 10/10 No evening meals available but with a number of good bistros a short walk away this wasn't really a problem
Friendly No tea or Coffee making facilities in the room
The bed Room service
very nice hotel, good for family vacation, great location
Good location. Metro at the corner. 300 Euros per day is far far too expensive for the rooms provided. No beakfast included. Laudry is ridicuclous expensive and internet 6 euros the hour !
Nearby the metro and expo. Expensive breakfast
The location was excellent, and metro was really close. Internet was twice the price mentioned in your web-pages. The room service food was terrible compared to it's very expensive price (e.g. Club sandwich selected under 'Hot stuff' was cold, very small, and did not even taste good).
comfortable big room
Feels like a 4-star hotel, but it's actually a 3-star. Also, I like one of the staff: Charles. Breakfast is a bit pricy and not enough choices. Staff didn't know how to use the computer in the lobby because it was 3-days old, so when I asked him some things, he couldn't help me.
it was so close to the Expo and thats what we wanted.Great The brekfast was expensive ,so we didnt have it, great to have a kettle in room ,but no norrmal tea, Bar closed to early.
The hotel was very quiet, which I liked. The room is nice and clean. Parking place was not well managed, hotel receiptionist gave us wrong information about the city.
Breakfast included and Location (metro, tram), personal little bit over priced
Location was great. Nice clean and bright entryway, common area and breakfast room. We booked 3 rooms. The rooms were very varied depending on the theme. One was very dark in hues of brown and black, one was red and black and one nice and light. One of the rooms had a shower full of mold. We requested that they clean the bathroom one morning when we headed out for the day but came back at the end of the day to find the same mold. Rooms were on the small side but with all necessary amenities.
the location was ideal for the exhibition centre breakfast was not included and was very expensive as an option
The proximity to the metro was useful. The staff at the hotel were attentive and helpful during my stay.
some of the staff were very rude. no 24 hrs room service
its location, convenient access with the "tramway" just at main entrance, and métro too, across the road. very quiet though; the aspect of the bath tub, bottom seemed scratched, had bad aspect.though clean.
Room was of reasonable size. Room was very very noisy (street side)!!
On arrival the room key did not work. I reported this to the desk. They gave me another key which did not work. I reported again to the desk. The reception staff eventually entered the room but said the door needed a new battery. When we returned to our room after the rugby match the door still would not work. I had to have 2 attempts to get the night manager to come up. He got us into our room. He said that the door needed repair. The next morning we had to get someone to let us into our room when we had had breakfast. When we returned in the afternoon although they had repaired the door they let us go to our room. The key did not work and I had to return to the desk again and get a new one. I found the whole thing most unsatisfactory.
we should have better room. room was combined-room...small one
The location, close to my business appointment This was the second time in this hotel. The rooms are not clean. I had a non-smoking room, but it smelled as someone just had smoked. Personel had opened the window, and put in an electric aplliance to hide the smell. Internet access cost are high. Breakfast: plates, forks, glasses: everything is not clean.
walking distance to the Effiel tower. and it had parking. nice place
The hotel is very convenient for the Paris Expo site at Porte de Versailles (two stops on the tram) and is located right outside the Balard metro station. Relatively basic, functional rooms, don't expect luxury. Overpriced.
position was excellent, staff were very helpful nothing!
The staff are very pleasant and helpful. The room was very unconfortable with dirty wall-paper and black attic.
Two mins walk from Paris Expo and Metro. A perfect no frills business stop. Includes free wifi. Just very basic. No shower. Just a hose in a 2/3rd size bath. It's fine really just don't expect extras.
close to exhibition, price simple breakfast, expensive parking,
The location near the MTR~~~
Good location for Boat Show. Near good metro line (M12). Pleasant room. Full when we arrived in the evening, despite our having a confirmed booking. Alternative hotel arranged by Pt d V H of much lower standard. Persistence required to have another hotel arranged. Then, when asked for compensation for difference in price, they said they could accommodate us for balance of our stay - which required cancellation of the second alternative hotel they had put us on to.
- The hotel is located in a good area, with metro station verry close and a lot of restaurants on the same street. We came often after 12 pm and we have nothing to worrry about; - the personal of the hotel was verry nice and the room was cleaned every day; - they let us eat within their restaurant, but with our food bought from a supermarket which is 2 minutes from the hotel, without extracharge; - there is wireless iternet available for 5 euro/3days, which is reasonable; - the air conditioning is working; the bathroom is clean. - The room is small, but after the first day you get used with that; - the elevator is also very small, but we were laughing about this after we succeeded to caryy our luggage in the room; - the tv does not have all the main tv programs..
Conveniently located next to metro and tram lines. Getting to the centre was a breeze. Breakfast was overpriced. At 11 € per person, it's more value for money to take a metro to the centre and then go to Paul's or Pain Quotidien.
Good bed. Good breakfast. The fact there was no bar and no wine in the mini bar in the room except champagne
Cleanliness and comfort
The single room was very small, but the staff were excellent, and the location (2 mins walk from Paris Expo) was perfect for my trip. I will definately stay again.
The staff was great with pointing us in the right direction for getting around Paris. It was a very cute modern hotel. Very clean and well kept. A bit small, but that's what you get in Europe. I'd definitlely recommend the hotel and stay again. The major downfall of the hotel, is that it was a bit out of the way. Kind of far from the main city, but luckily they were a pretty good distance from the metro and never had to wait for a train at that stop.
The staff was really helpful and friendly. That was the best part of the hotel. I also liked the location and the design of the place. The room wasn't as clean as I would have liked at all. Carpet looked like it needed a vacuum. Bedding had a few stains, that was really uncomfortable.
There was no duvet, just an itchy dirty sheet which I couldn't use. Furthermore, the room in the promotional photographs was not anything like the tiny flat-pack wardrobe containing room that I stayed in. It was claimed that this room was discounted from £450 - I doubt that very much!
nice staff clean rooms quiet rooms
All the members of staff were courteous, polite and very helpful.
The hotel was clean and on a nice street in Paris. We saw a lot of Paris that most tourists miss. Good french cusine around. The staff was pleasant, friendly and very helpful except for..... ......Linda, a lady who welcomed ?? us to the hotel. While the website said the hotel was close to the Eiffel tour it was not and Linda was, she said, too busy to help us because the hotel was big, with many guests and she couldnt spare time to explain to us how to reach the Eiffel Tower as we were interested in the open buses. She suggested we go back to the Montparnasse Station Information Centre to get what information we wanted. Luckily, a few local guys were only too happy to help and we enjoyed our daily 80/62 bus trips to the Eiffel and back. Linda, should note that she has her job only because of guests like us and it is her cardinal responsibility to help us out and to speak to guests in a kinder tone!
Hotel is tidy with moderate price.
Comfort in the room Some of the staff at brakfast was not so polite
Nice and clean room not far from metro
The location was good. The convenience of the doorknob was bad.
The hotel is lovely and clean and very modern. The breakfast was a very good choice. Not very central for sightseeing though, more for business people. When I asked for extra coffee and milk for the room they did not seem to want to give it
friendly staff, good location, modern interior design, very clean and tidy the VISA card I supplied for my booking at booking.com was charged on the first day (even prior to our arrival!), even though the card does not run on my name (it belongs to another family member who was not asked for permission by them!) and was said only to be there for guarantee purposes. When I said that I don't think this is OK they said "that's how it's done in France"....
Staff is very frendly, and helps in all cases. Breakfast is not so good.
bar open late! went to breakfast to have a cup of coffee only........was charged 15 euros, which reception kindly cancelled
The location of the hotel was key for us working at the expo.
The door lock failed to work on our 2nd night, I had to come to reception 4 times before someone came to look. I was given a free drink for my trouble.
Housekeeping! Needs a lot of work! & room service food.
The hotel has a very good position/location for the visiting Expo area. I like the hotel, it was new and really nice. The working staff during the night hours was a bit louder, in my opinion. I would like to have a room with view into the street next time.
The service was very good, for foreighn travelers, and nice restaurant enclosed, If you are looking for any fun this is not the place. 95% business travelers. Too Hot in the rooms as i could not turn the heat off, No nighlife at all around, very conservative atmosphere No music, No Fun.No dancing.
Good breakfast, bright atrium style reception hall
location to the Expo . good facilities , friendly staff who were willing t converse in English no
nothing i liked no service-nofood selection -direty carpets -no taxis infront of hotel
It was very easy to check in and the rooms are a good size. Whilst sat in the bar saw a mouse running up the side of the tv.
Free wi fi, leaving No restaurant, no bar, limited tv
The stuff is very kindly and I had a good leisure time at this hotel. It is really really excellent!
Near the Expo Center The furnicher was old
it was close to the exhibition centre and thats it! desperate need for refurbish, our room stank of old cigarette smoke and was very tatty and worn! sheets smelt disgusting so children had to sleep in their sleeping bags! ! holes in the window vents, window would not close properly, sofa cushions smelt horrible, stains on the walls, damp in the bedroom, skirting boards missing, tiny wardrobe etc etc etc wont be visiting again
The location was easy for the metro. It was nice to have cooking facilities. The room was tired, and the building was clearly idenifyable. The signage could be larger and be the name on the booking form.
The situation was ideal for our visit to Parc de Prince for the rugby and the resulting visit of Paris
We arrived early before check in time to park the car, but staff allowed us into the room also which was a big bonus for us after travelling. Car park very secure under the building.
Great hotel, great location, good staff, nice room for children beds were too soft- my only complaint- everything else was great!
The price, the location. Disability access to hotel from the parking area was poor.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. A nice little hotel well worth recommending
The overall attention and courtesy of the staff, abundant/delicious breakfast, free internet service, Metro/train/bus transportation nearby
position of the hotel and the neighbourhood. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Nothing
I only stayed one night, but were made to feel very welcome by the stafff.
Good localization - about 7 minute walk form Metro station, supermarche's and boulangerie's near by, not very romantic, but definitely enough for a visit. The room was cleaned everyday with new towels and shampoo samples supplied. Reception stuff speaking English and being nice and helpful. Housekeeping stuff being not so nice (entering the room without knocking and showing discontent when I said that we are leaving in 15 minutes). The beds being terribly soft - I woke up every night and felt pain in the back every morning (my wife didn't have this problems).
Qiet neighbourhood yet central
off the beaten track - quiet and comfortable only things were the number of pillows - only 2and the distance from the airport
Although a very short stay, the area was excellent for restaurants (even in Paris in August), the staff were very helpful and our bathroom was brilliant - looked as though it had never been used before, it was so clean and beautifully appointed. Large comfy bed. Very happy.
Reception area looks nice. No complains about the room, it was 4+. The first receptionist (male) was morose. When I asked how I could connect my wi-fi, he only answered, that I cannot do it without e-mail address. Likely I could (mobile phone).
The room was clean and had a nice atmosphere. The bathroom was clean although the shower was somewhat confusing. The hotel was nice enough to let us leave our car in the garage even after we'd checked out. It was a little bit far from the city centre and the internet in the hotel didn't work on the second day we were there
clean rooms, nice staff, good for young travellers who don't really care about luxury It was kind of far from everything important to visit
I do not like the hotel. There is no air condiioner. The breakfast is very poor.
The staff was fantastic! The rooms were small but quaint and I especially liked the little balcony. It was excellent value for the money. The lobby and breakfast area could use a bit of an update and the elevator had seen better days.
Close to metro and river, nice kebab and coffee shop, helping staff. Good location and easy to find. value for money. bed was uncomfortable!
Staff was very helpful and co-operative Both the room and bathroom was very small. Once could hardly move. In case of any proproblem, no body was avaialble to fix it.
Comfy bed. Helpful reception staff. Handy for metro. Really nice place overall just a few problems. The shower was cold every morning! because it was a boiler shower and couldn't cope with everyone using it at once. Breakfast staff were quite rude, tables weren't set up properly and breakfast was quite basic. Housekeeping staff ignored the do not disturb signs and one day removed two of our towels without replacing them. Although being only a two person lift this wasn't a problem except in the morning when housekeeping kept a trolley in it and we had to hike up 7 flights of stairs! No chest of drawers or cupboards. Hairdryer didn't work on full power for more than 10 seconds. Door rattles loudly when adjoining rooms shut theirs.
The hotel is clean, nice shower and the location is not that bad for the price. A member of the hotel staff got the e-mail from my sister to try to hit on her.
abruptness of cleaning staff
under ground was very close from the hotel, location of hotel seems recent area. weather was very hot and no A/C availble in rooms
Second time we have stayed @ this hotel as is ideally situated for the Exhibition Center which we were visiting .. Rooms very warm @ night, air con. would improve this, as opening the windows lets all the noise in from restaurants close by
The way the toiletries in the bathroom were adapted to me. the breakfast buffet was excellent the price increase for the room if there was a 'salon' taking place at Porte de Versailles
The overall service we received was very poor! The receptionist was very rude and not professional at all when there was an incident with wifi. The rooms were not throughly clean, they were very small and crowded. Overall, not a good experience.
10 min walk from exhibition center. Untidy room, noisy pipes
The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the rooms I saw were very clean. The foyer is nicely laid out with comfortable chairs. It is an old-fashioned hotel in its decor and is not kept in very good repair. I'm afraid that the first room I was provided with had a broken toilet, and the second had broken air-conditioning.
Stated as a 3 stars hotel, in reality this is a 1 star, if any.... our double / twin bed room was extremely small, 2 person can not pass through at the same time. Room was dusty, and the house keeping room door was opened and the supposed to be clean bed sheets, pillow cover & toile are all over on the floor...
next to porte de versailles expo & restaurants for diner no so good maintenance, not always competent staff. could be noisy as theres a bar located nextdoor.
Lovely room with light blue painting, very nice & helpful receiptioninst, recently refurbished bathroom! Small elevator! WHich was not a problem at all!
The Room is nice. It is near Metro. That night there is a pipe cut in the Hotel. But we were notified so late. Finally we didn't have time to take a shower.
Having a comfortable good sized clean double room as a single person. Awaking in the morning to complimentary breakfast.
A very good use of space. The rooms are bathrooms are relatively small, but yet so well layed out that is was more than enough space. The breakfast area was really pretty, the colours and layout just worked. A small variety at breakfast but everything that you need. The fresh orange juice squeezer was also really great.
Good location, decent breakfast, many TV channels. There are two rooms on the groundfloor in front of some storerooms, it doesn`t feel very nice when you enter. Relatively expensive. Some strange noises in the bathroom.
The best thing was the price and the cleanliness of the hotel I was not too happy about the area. It was a bit scary walking to the hotel late at night. Also there were not many nice restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
Good staff and nice rooms, clean crisp and nice breakfast. Lift was cosy
I had wireless internet Rude, unhelpful staff. No ice machine. No anything. Just a closet sized room that wasn't ready at 2:30 pm (check in was at 2:00).
The room was very comfortable although small, the staff were friendly
It was convenient for me since my work was very close to the hotel The rooms were not cleaned daily. I had to pay Euro 26 for getting the rooms cleaned everytime.
Conveniently situated to Porte de Versailles...four people fitted comfortably...good well equipped kitchen...good apartment...would stay there again That the room we had booked wasn't ready till the day after we arrived so we had to stay in a different room and pack and repack all bags when we were very pushed for time...we had been assured both 3months prior and the week before arriving that a double room would be available on arrival late in the evening...but it wasn't...so we were shunted to different separate rooms for the first night....
close to Porte de Versille exhibition centre and large rooms
Good service, stqaff and facilities
We were impressed with the 1 bedroom apartment which was clean and comfortable and found the staff very helpful throughout our stay. We were traveling on business but had a 6 year old and a grandparent with us. All were comfortable. When we got to the hotel in the evening we found out that our pre-paid reservation made a few weeks earlier was canceled. Once we got to our e-mail it turned out that the problem was due to over-maxing our business credit card which we were not aware of having left a few days earlier and not receiving this information. However the staff was able to put us in a very nice, comparable apartment and at the same price, so the stress was minimal and we appreciate it. There is also a weekend flea market within walk. The hotel has a pretty good connection from the nearby metro station but the distance to airport and central attractions still adds up and walking to Paris attractions is only an option if you have a lot of time. Good location if you are going to the Expo grounds right by the hotel but not if you want to spend as much time as possible in the centre of Paris. Not much happening nearby in the evenings though.
The room smelled bad. Like the sewers. It took a very long time for the heating to heat up the room so it was very cold. No where in the hotel to check my email and near the hotel either.
The design and comfort of the room It took the staff three days to find my reservation and when they did they wanted me to move to another hotel. The logistic of the hotel was a mess.
very close to Paris Expo, also to Aqua city. No room service for daily cleaning, not explaining how to clean the garbage
