Staff was friendly, and the price was very reasonable. When I checked in, everything was a little hectic. And there were frightening noises throughout the night. Not that I felt I was in danger, but I didn't feel particularly safe either.
My stay was overall good A little old fashion and sheets had cigarette burns on themn
The price. Clean overall. WiFi isn't free. Little gnats were present in the room. Shower head is too low, and the water pressure isn't great.
Next to the freeway, decent price, and there is free HBO. There was one staff member that my friends and I felt very comfortable around. He tried to start a conversation with us about where we're from just to end it with that where we are from are where a lot of "weirdos" are. Maybe he was trying to be funny but we felt like he was making us feel inferior. We asked for a refund on the WiFi (BTW It does not work!!!) and we had to go in and out of room three times to finally give him everything he needed to finally refund us and also after he has helped everyone else. Definitely need to have A LOT of patience with him. The other staff members were more helpful, quick, and efficient.
The location was the best part about it because it's near no much The service was horrible, rude counter, it took 4 hrs to fix my tv!! Wasted vacation time
Price. Appears to have had some recent renovation. Neighborhood/location. Available parking marginal. No breakfast (but coffee available).
Nearness to Santa Monica. We drove up from San Diego and stayed in North Hills so we could be in Santa Monica early the next morning. It worked out pretty well. There is a Starbucks a quarter mile north on Sepulveda and just off the 405. Ample parking. Good shower with soap and shampoo. Can't think of anything
The room looked well kept and clean. I loved the laminate flooring, easy to keep clean and doesn't hold smells like carpet. It looks a little sketchy on the outside but inside feels clean, safe and cozy. My party spent the day at Six Flags and this was about a 25 minute drive. Then we headed to Santa Monica. A nice central location. Flexible check-in and out times. We called and said we'd be arriving late and they accommodated us. Only turn off was it was across the street from a strip club but not that big a deal to my party, might be for some though. I did not notice any sketchy or scandalous characters rooming around or anything so that's good. Also The parking lot was full and dirty but also not that big a deal to me as long as the room is clean and it was.
Beds, floor It was very suspicious there, police arresting someone out side our door in the other parking lot. Got a weird vibe, we did not safe there. Staff was not very friendly. We got a refund on 2 out of 3 nights because kids feel asleep on bed while we called for another hotel. Graffiti on the front and bathroom doors. Cheaper doesn't mean better. Never go there.
The only saving grace was the fact that it was a 10 minute drive from universal studios. The beds were covered in hair, as well as the pillows. There were carvings in the headboard. The a/c unit was not working. There was a part of the floor that was sunken in near the restroom-this was a second floor room. The main room mirror had scribbles with sharpie on it. It appeared that the bathroom mirror had spray paint on it. There were blood spots on the bathroom floor, and a large one in the bathtub itself. The walls in the bathroom were also grimy. When he informed the front desk, all we got was "Sorry.".
The pleasant surprise of the look of the room. Very spacious and cozy feel. A lot of wood furnishings, hot and cold water on demand. I've stayed athere fancier more expensive places where the hour water takes a very long time. The matters was way too firm!
NOTHING, absolutely nothing. I asked to change rooms 3 times because the sheets were not changed in the first room, there was a big ass roach I the sink at the first room the secon room was the sAme!! And the air conditioner was not working! Then I had an argument with the old owner cuz he was being really nasty about giving me my money back. So I was given another room. It looked better but the sheets were not clean!!!!! So they gave me clean sheets ant told me to change it my self! That's when my girl got furious and told them to change the sheets and bring new ones them self. Worst service EVER DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!! Everything dirty! Worst service ever! Nasty bathrooms. They don't change the sheets between guests AND INFESTED WITH ROACHES
Price, it was fairly cheap even on high season and it was decently close to Universal Studios. Everything, don't even know where to begin, here's a bunch of the key points: - Every single sheet/towel had stains on them, from mascara to who know what else. - Even though the room stated non-smoking it was very clear they didn't enforce it as they all had ash trays and on one of our rooms we had a cigarette butt near the door of the bathroom which brings me to the next point. - Dirty, the fact that we found the cigarette, stains and carpet were I didn't even want to take off my shoes says enough. And this is considering I have a very high threshold to dirtyness. - Shady, all sorts of things happening. There were all sorts of shady behavior going on. Crazy people getting pissed at cars that weren't theirs to what I'm 90% sure a few prostitutes either live or work there. Couples fighting and what not. - We only stayed one night(thankfully) and on one of our bedrooms we found fleas and 2 of my nephews had bites all over them. - When we walked in one of our bedrooms door was open, and never locked neither did the window. It also looked like people would crash on it. - Oh god I don't even want to remember, I'm trying to forget... - I wouldn't recommend this to my worst enemy... - Please stay away from this place.
Nothing i can think of. Worst hotel i ever stayed in my life. Its not even worth $20 par day. Bed bugs, shitty blankate and dirty room. Horrible staff.
The wifi was the only thing I was satisfied with. Walls are were way too thin! The couple next door woke me up a couple times thru the nite. The bottom of my feet were black after just a few minutes of walking barefoot on the carpet. The staff was very hard to communicate with and reeked of b.o.
Close to restaurants, freeways, and places other than this motel. Shabby, unclean room; long black hairs on sheets and towels; hooker in parking lot. $74 a night?!? They should've paid ME to stay here!
Absolutely nothing!!!! The staff was very rude and the room smelled. The bathroom window didn't closed all the way and there was a hole in the bathroom window with some kind of paper stuck in it. There were also bugs in the room. We dropped our stuff off went to the park and came back and just left. We didn't even stay there. Will not stay there again!
Nothing!!!! Very bad service. We got our room and the AC didn't work, I called front office and they daid they would come check it and they never did. When I turned in my key and I told the lady at the office she was really rude and said " Well you booked the room right" whatever that was suppose to meant. Super bad service would never recommend this place to anybody.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The carpet was not vacuumed.
The pool, corner room & breakfast. The parking situation upon arrival.
The staff, the comfy beds, location Funny smells, noisy electronics/shower, parking price. The place is good but could use an update
Best place to stay when going to Universal Studios, and I go a lot. There's a free shuttle that takes you to the entrance of City Walk or you can walk there in less than 10 minutes via the pedestrian bridge.
Everything was perfect
Staff and less than 10 minutes walking distance to Universal studio Wait for elevator and parking was pricey
Close to Universal Studios The outside hallway carpet was greasy and muddy. Even after having them clean it, we continued to bring grease and grime and dirt into our hotel room. Our entry walkway was pretty disgusting because of it.
Walking distance to universal and reasonable droving distance to many LA locations. Cost of parking.
The room was spacious...good pillows. Good gym, nice pool. Two elevators were out (and have been for 3 years!), making trips up and down sometimes very lengthy. You can call the operator each time you go to the elevator asking to be picked up, but how ridiculous for a hotel of this caliber. Restaurant food was boring. All three places to eat at the hotel had the same menu, with tiny differences. The first meal or two it is fine, you can find alternate foods to eat, but after a few days, a change is necessary. It cost $18 for a so-called, all you can eat 'continental breakfast'...yogurt, fruit, cereal, muffins and coffee! This Hilton is near the Universal City Walk, all franchise restaurants so no good food nearby for real foodies...if you like buffets with all you can eat, this is your place.
Staff was great, location to other attractions The parking garage was pricey considering I paid 200.00 a night should get a discount when staying. The elevators were all not in service. Breakfast was too expensive for a weeks stay. I couldn't find a salon inside for service.
The Hotel was clean and staff was super friendly but the parking wasn't free, $21 dollare a day. Yikes! No free parking.
We stayed there before going to vegas for our honeymoon... Awesome place, staff is extremely friendly, totally recommended
Great staff Double queen beds seemed a little small and mattresses were not very comfortable.
The pool area at night was beautiful The only thing I would mention is that the additional parking fee was not clear when I booked, I ve found out of this at the hotel
Room was very clean and staff was very polite.
I loved the bed but that's about it. When I first checked in I was carrying my baby and luggage and had my son follow. Got all the way to my room and my key didn't work so i had to drag it all back down and carry it all back up a second time. The shower clogged up. The tv was in & out and some channels didn't have any volume?! No fridge, no microwave, no table for us to eat on.... (There was a desk my son ate on but me & my husband had to eat standing up or on the bed) Parking is $21 a night for guest. You have to pay for wifi & breakfast.
Steak salad from room service was exceptional! Employees were friendly and helpful. Toilet stopped up. Hallways smelled musty. Bedspread smelled like someone's perfume - obviously was not washed before I arrived. Woodwork was full of nicks and scratches. Very dissapointing for a Marriott.
Great value for the price. Only thing that I can point out was check in. We had to wait for a room to get cleaned even though we were checking in 2 hrs past regular check in. Also no hot tub. :( staff was top notch. I have never had towels delivered so fast. I swear they were to us before I hung up, haha
We liked pretty much everything. There's a pool, fitness center, & gift shop. There's also a fully functioning restaurant (The Daily Grill) that is open early & closes late. Great place to have people in the area meet us for food or drinks. Very comfortable rooms with everything you need included. It was nice to have a parking lot in the hotel, but if you opted not to go with Valet, it was a little bit of a walk to get to the lobby with suitcases & such. Adding to that, the parking lot is shared with airport travelers, so there were times at night where we were concerned we wouldn't find any spaces, even though we were hotel guests. But, it still worked out, there were a couple of hidden spots. My biggest complaint is that the air-conditioning unit in our room was very loud & would wake us up throughout the night whenever it clicked on. On a minor note, the business area in the room with the extra outlets had blown a fuse & no power was coming out of it. We let the front desk know. Over-all, these are small complaints (other than the AC).
Staff was very friendly and helpful. No breakfast for guests unless you pay at the restaurant or order room service.
I did like that the front desk accommodated us despite the miscommunication about check in. They gave us free overnight parking as well. I did not like that guest parking was so expensive. Even just for a few hours would be pricey just for a quick visit.
Arrived with family and Young Children. At midnight had a fire alarm that told us to exit the building via Staircase. We did. carrying 2 children and 20 flights of stairs later. We were told, It was the steam from the kitchen that caused it, go back to the room. 1 am, this gets repeated again. We get told someone was smoking, go back to the room. This happens again. We just go to the staircase with no energy to walk down 20 flights of stairs. We call 45 min. later to find out (false alarm). So next morning - the staff gets approached and we get told oh there was a party on the 21st floor that was using a fog machine. I asked why not have a PA system in the stairs so you can notify the people to not panic or there's a fire on the 2nd floor or anything. They said oh I know.. WTF.. I know. I just left with family never to return to that one again.
They charge extra just to use wifi, which is typically a standard accommodation everywhere. The place is run down.
Upgraded to larger family room with Sheik theme when they saw we had kids. Kids liked it. Location great. Porbably slightly older than the Hilton next door.
Team members were friendly, shuttle to Universal Studio mall plus in walking distance if you choose and food was good. We were there for our grandsons birthday First I could have had better room rate then what we got Sheraton is a Starwood management and we are owners of a Hotel in San Diego that is also managed by Starwood.. So I had told the manager checking us in that and he still didn't do anything about a lesser rate. Second under remodeling no ATM machine black out curtain didn't close properly use hair clippies to keep outside lighting out at night..
Location, location and location - that's the only thing positive about this hotel. Otherwise, it is no better than a poor hotel with bad everything - Rooms are aged (badly need remodeling) - Rooms are not kept up and clean (there was mildew buildup around the sink and it was blocked for us) - Service is poor (45 min to get shower cap)
I did like that my room was ready on time and that it had a view. When I arrived there was a leak in the restroom that they did not fix... I has the same issue with the water leaking from the toilet when I woke up the next morning. Also the morning I checked out the TV did not work and I had to call room service to fix it and reprogram it. The price was not up to par with the type of room I was given.
Location was perfect for me. Rooms were nice and clean. Bed, comfortable. There is construction going at the corner of Lankershim and Universal Hollywood Dr. I stayed for two nights where the construction completed at 11PM the first night. Unfortunately construction continued ALL NIGHT the second night which was a Friday night. I was woken up several times by the work that was going on!
Was charged a deposit at the hotel, had to pay to park. Also room was soooo cold had to sit in coat and hat, called front desk we were offered a space heater but it was never brought to the room. Called the front desk and was told the heat had been cut back on so heater in room should work now.. It didn't
Clean beds. Parking is expensive ~$55 for 2 days. And if you decide to leave the hotel for few hours to cruise around town, you will pay even more for hotel parking. Nothing is free, not even the coffee in the room. $30 breakfast (basic) per person is ridiculous!
I loved the location; close to Universal but also a short drive from Hollywood and Warner Brothers. Walking distance to small restaurants and gas stations. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in! And the view from the 20th floor was incredible. The room needs some updating. Dings and marks were visible on the walls and the bathroom showed definite signs of wear.
The rooms were clean and comfortable The staff were attentive and courtious The smoke alarm tests Lack of king bed availaîlity
Very clean Quite far from main la attraction. Neighborhood is a no man's land at night.
this hotel had the most comfortable bed i have slept in away from home. the stylish simple decor is relaxing and the small details are appreciated. the central location is one of the primary reasons i selected this hotel. very pleased with my experience at this hotel.
Very nice room with good comfort Expensive breakfast! Including tax and normal tip we paid almost 70 dollars for a three persons continental breakfast (toast, muffin and fruit).
The peace and quite and very relaxing and clean Leaving
Everything was great! Would recommend to others
This is a very efficient, comfortable and stylish hotel. The staff is friendly and professional. Clearly, they hire customer oriented staff and pay great attention to detail. I'll definately return.
Just how nice the staff was and the welcome feeling each time you entered the doors An $93 dollars charge a day later after paying the bill that was not given a reason for what it was for.
Pillows, beds, comfort of whole room. Excellent staff. Shuttle was lincoln town car. Across from 24hr grocery store. No view just another room 4 feet away. No pool. Spa water was warm but not hot. Did I mention, no pool!
The guy at the front counter was very helpful room was clean but on the street didn't like that didn't seem like a four-star but did have a minibar valet guy stunk up my car not going back to this hotel because a dirty animal
The friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness and the updated everything. We always stay here when we come to California. WiFi included and free parking. The staff is awesome and they treat you with respect and not just like another unknown person.
The room was nice, the bed was comfy and the staff was very professional, friendly and helpful. The breakfast food, while complimentary, was also not very palatable.
Breakfast was okay, nothing special, but it was nice they had free breakfast at all. Location wasn't the greatest but I didn't feel unsafe. No pool.
Very nice hotel for the price. We were only 15min from Universal. Free parking Parking area was small luckily we didn't have a problem but if they were all booked I could see it being an issue
The area in Burbank is never the best. It was nice to find this hotel which was very nice and made staying near Burbank Airport not only tolerable but very nice
The good things...Entire hotel was clean and new looking. Check-in was quick. Beds are really comfortable & clean. Nice touch have the remote control in sleeve showing it was sanatized :) Business center was very useful for us! The downfall was someone got arrested in the room right next to us the next morning police everywhere, So that was a site for sore eyes. And a bit scary for us considering I was traveling with my daughter and mother :(
Staff was cool, place was fairly clean, great breakfast The area was horrible ,no pool. Funky smell.would rather pay an extra 50 bucks a night and stay at an embassy suite
Proximity to Hollywood Breakfast was marginal. Location was a bit dodgy
Clean Friendly staff Short drive to universal Spend more but avoid this location Neighborhood is shady Scary to walk on streets at night Liquor stores everywhere Not for families No good restaurants or shops around
It was unique with every room having different murals and great location, very friendly hotel staff, and they even have a coffee/espresso machine at all hours of the night as well as pastries provided in the morning! Would definitely recommend for a trip to LA and will be staying here again! Limited parking in front so have to park in the back lot
David was very helpful, we had a bit of trouble finding our way however he talked us through it all and we arrived eventually. We end up extending our booking by 2 nights as the stay was comfortable. I confirmed on check in that my credit card was being used as a pre auth only, however when checking out i was informed my card had been charged without letting me know and i could not charge my stay to the correct card and nothing could be done about it.
excellent spacious room, iphone/ipod connection with tv, very good bed, shower, air conditioning, everything works great. very well decorated room, light inside. close to warner bros, just 10 minutes by car to universal studios and 30 minutes or less to six flags magic mountain.
The rooms were amazing, and the view was very beautiful! The workers were very polite and very outgoing
Ita the nicest holiday inn i hqve ever seen and the girl at the front desk told me it was the biggest too. Also PARKING IS FREE. . . A rarity in LA It was all good
My only suggestion is that the room service could be a bit nicer for the price... plasticware?
Had frig and mirowave in the room . Our room had a connecting door in it. The one night someone in the other room went to sleep with his tv volume up. beginning of the night we were able to sleep but as it got to early morning it became a problem. However when we tried to fix problem they quickly helped solve the issue.
Staff was amazing (though having a newborn with us helped). Young pregnant woman at front desk (didn't catch her name) was exceptionally accomodating. First night was broken by several members of a wedding party banging on our door and being loud in general.
I enjoyed the entertainment Friday and Saturday night. Kareoke and the house band were awesome The pool area could use some upgrades and a jacuzzi
The rooms were very nice and comfy. Nice size bathroom. The non-smoking rooms wreaked of disgusting stale cigarettes. As a non-smoker, it made me gag!!
Hotel was clean and comfortable. Manager, was wonderful. Breakfast was good. Hotel is located in a somewhat sketchy neighborhood.
The hotel is in a great location, very close to plenty of food and bars in NoHo. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were clean. Also did not hear any noise from any other rooms.
great stay friendly staff perfect no
The customer service was hands down, top notch. We were greeted by the maintenance man who greeted with a friendly wave and hello. He also helped me check in by reading to me the license plate number from the rental car we had because I couldn't see it. Nothing! I'm a stickler on customer service and cleanliness and this hotel surpassed all expectations!!!

The hotel itself was clean and comfortable. I would have thought twice had I known about the surrounding neighborhood. It was in the middle of a commercial area with no restaurants or stores close by.
Clean, friendly, great breakfast. Paid parking

Very clean. The bed was very comfortable.
Everyone I encountered at this place was happy and eager to help. The place was clean and easy to locate. Took less than 10 minutes to Universal. If I am in the area again I would stay there again. The pool is heated. The warm breakfast was nice for kids I know before we got there but being charged for parking seamed a little excessive do to the location.
I like the layout of the hotel, design and location.
Everything, everyone was very helpful and pleasant. We will stay here again! Thank you
What I loved the most was that I was close to everything in LA! Breakfast was delicious! Will be coming back for sure!
facilities user friendly, complete, quiet, relax, secure and confort.. none
My boyfriend and I stayed here because we were going to Universal Studios. The location was perfect only about a 15/20 minute drive. The staff was so nice. I thought the valet parking only would be inconvenient but it actually wasn't. Comfy beds, clean rooms and bathrooms. We would definitely stay here again!
Staff was very nice and room was clean. I have no complaints. Valet parking was free but only because we had to sign up for a rewards program. If we didn't sign up it would have been 7.50 a night.
Location was central The facilities felt like a Motel 6 trying to be a Marriott and it just doesn't feel comfortable or relaxing at all. The freeway is right next to the rooms. I felt like I was at a cheap Motel.
The staff was wonderful and accommodating! Rooms were always clean, staff was very friendly. The breakfast was excellent. We were in for over a week for a horse show and this was a great area and easily accessible for us...being from Pennsylvania! Will absolutely stay here again next year! Room was tight for 4 people, but no big deal! Hot tub was a bit too hot...otherwise, no complaints!
nice pool and hot tub, nice rooms clean and spacious
Very friendly staff and affordable for the location Very friendly staff and affordable for the location.
Nice balcony room with a view over the garden. Wi fi was really slow, no room service
We saved a lot of money staying at the Mikado for 9 days. Enjoyed the quick and easy access to all the north Los Angeles suburbs we wanted to see. Do not book a stay here if you are looking for luxury. That is not what this hotel is about, although it is comfortable, has in-room refrigerators and microwaves, wi-fi, pool and hot tub. Some reviewers have too high expectations for this price range. We were just looking for a good deal, and that's what we got!
Great staff. Housekeeping forgot to clean our room. Staff was apologetic though and assisted us as much as he can.
The hotel was well staffed and the staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant used for the complimentary breakfast was comfortable, and the food was excellent. Room was clean. Bath area had floor patched and re-patched, with grout very dingy looking. Floor was uneven and extreme care was required when using the shower.
Not knowing what to expect, when I walked in to book the room, my first impression was "wow this place is pretty nice" for the money, I would be hard pressed to find a better place, friendly service, clean, very quiet
Plenty of parking., quite and clean. Pool was too small. Free breakfast had powered eggs and no bacon or sausage.
Beds were comfortable with nice pillows. Nice bathrooms. Quiet rooms. Clean. N/A
I liked the location of this Best Western because it was close to the California freeway system. The streets surrounding the hotel were wide and traffic was at a minimum so the area was quiet. The hotel is close to wonderful restaurants too. Also, the breakfast each morning was upgraded from the past years that we had stayed at the hotel. There was a much better selection of foods from which to choose. Nothing at this time because our stay was very satisfactory.
Service and staff were great!
Very clean and comfortable. Great helpful courteous staff. Denny's on-site & room service convenient.
Pretty spacious . Nice lighting . Not enough blankets
Clean room and comfortable beds Check in was a bit slow
The location was good being next to the 405fwy and the 101fwy. Getting anywhere in LA seemed easy at this location. The person on staff that attended me didn't seem to pleased to help me and was quite rude. Her greeting was not pleasing at all felt like she didn't care. I didn't even bother to call the front desk and tell them the bathtub was clogged. Would I stay here again. If that lady is still on staff I would stay away from her.
Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds Very close to the freeway so lots of traffic noise for the light sleeper....but they do provide earplugs!
Nice and clean I rented this room 2 months in advance when I was going to my room their was no parking spaces they have 180 rooms and 140 parking spaces the clerk said they did not guaranty a parking space having 2 young children I arrive at midnight to the hotel with no parking I ask cleck for a refund CLERK SAID HE REFUND DEPOSIT BUT It was not possible to get my money from expedia. Plain and simple Dont expect to get a parking space come solo....
I liked the location, it was pretty much 15-20 min away from everything. There's a Denny's right next to the hotel, which you can get room service from until midnight but it's open 24 hours so you can still walk over. The room had a lot of mirrors. The pool is small but convenient for kids. Parking became difficult to find when you get back late, but it was also 4th of July weekend so they were probably all booked. There were some people smoking right outside their rooms.
Checking in and out was easy due to the very easy going ans helpful staff. We were there for an event and the location worked out great. Also just down the way arw a bunch of great places to eat. I mainly chose this place because it had a high cleanliness rating. The rooms were fairy dirty and things were falling apart. One of the lights didn't turn on, dust was very visible ans there was a red/brownish stain on the bathroom wall by the switch.
Comfort of toom Bed too soft and lumpy
Location, room comfy, and mostly quiet despite 405 freeway nearby. No complimentary breakfast. There's a Denny's on site, where the food can b good or not so good. (Different chefs?). No King beds available, although this may be because I made a late reservation.
Coming from San Diego, LA can be a bit daunting, so wanted to be sure to stay in a part of LA that wasn't sketchy. Sherman Oaks is central enough. Hotel is very nice. Rooms are nicer than the outside of the hotel gives away. Exterior is fine and updated, but gives away its age as a 1960s original motor inn. But well-maintained and managed. The toiletries were nice and boutique-hotel worthy. Would stay here again. Good staff and service. Not much to not like, but perhaps the noise outside the room is less than ideal.
Location Street noise, no sleep timer on TV remote, stained carpet, got bit by something the first night.
Location Did not serve breakfast before 7:00 AM on the weekend. In town for a soccer game and had to leave the property to get breakfast.
Staff was helpful and friendly. My room was not clean -- dusty furniture, dearty windows, hand cream, that hotel provided dried up.
Room was clean and quite big. Room furniture was adequate. It was without frills and fancy. The shower area was not properly designed. The shower curtains were not adequate. This cause water to spill over and make the whole floor wet. It became a big mess. Also the vanity area was very small.
Great staff. Beautiful decor. Great room. Good location. No complaints
Location is excellent--lot's to do nearby. Room is comfortable. Wifi is free. coffee pot in room. Bed is way too soft. TV has limited channels. Paid parking--$15.00 per day. No full service restaurant--only dinner. Pool is small and hot tub is not inviting. Staff are direct not gracious. No safe in room.
Internet was very slow
helpful staff, good service The pool they were supposed to have was located at another motel. A little deceptive to say they have a pool.
Staff was great. Hotel was clean and comfortable. A little off the beaten path but seemingly a nice neighborhood. I asked for a pre noon check in online the day before and I was not allowed to check in until 3 pm.
Room was ready upon arrival, very clean, nicely appointed rooms, easy access location. Rooms open to central courtyard which was noisy from the var at night. Room service never brought my order, no call or any apology and the desk staff didn't seem to care the next morning when I told them.
Everything. Food very Good. Could not fault anything.
Staff was very friendly and helpful! There was not much nearby that was walking distance, but easy enough to get an über to take you to nearby sights/activities.
It was probably an awesome place in 1982 when it was last remodeled... First time I've ever been to a hotel that there was no cold water in the shower. I've had lots of no hot water experiences, but only scalding hot water was a first.
The beds very hard.
Acoustic insulation is not good at all. We could hear every conversations of people walking by our room. Both queen bed is squeeking too much and curtain has multiple holes.
Some of the front desk staff was polite. Pool was a decent size. Bed was not leveled .Floors also felt like it had holes at least 1 square foot in some spots. Shower head was pretty dirty. The noise was bad from construction crew that was fixing a room close to my room. Noise from highway was pretty bad early morning and late at night. Walls were so thin that I heard conversations as if I was in the same room.
It was dirty and smelled weird.
The carpets and floor were filthy
Poor hotel Infested with silver bag Poor internet so called free WiFi
Cheap, relatively clean Rooms and building exterior badly need rehabbing. Tub was patched with repair compound and needs to be reglazed. Shower head is waaaay too low, and I'm only 5'10
The room was cleaned daily, beds were made and they have lots of pillows in the room. Couldn't hear noise from other rooms. Although you are right by the freeway, you don't hear lots of noise. Little to no parking. One day we came back late to the room and there was no parking, and it was confusing on where it was ok to park out on the street. My husband had to help me take the kids up stairs then come down and park the car in a compact area. The check in staff was not the friendliest.
The staff at the Ramada in Burbank are very friendly and helpful. The rooms we clean and tidy and the furnishings had been updated in the last year or so. The only complaints are to do with the building. I believe this is an older building and you can tell. Our sink leaked pretty badly from the faucet into the cabinet under the sink. We would get standing water under the sink almost daily, and would try to wipe it out, but you could tell this was a constant problem; there was visible water damage and a little mold (it looked like the entire area had been scoured recently or there may have been more). My other complaint was the shower. This place probably has old piping and without a huge renovation I don't know what they could do about this, but they have some kind of hot water heater/weird piping gremlin here. No matter what temperature you try to get the shower to, whether it's ice cold or as hot as it will get, the temperature changes constantly and dramatically. i would be in the shower and suddenly the water would get completely scalding. This wasn't right after I got in it would be about six minutes in and I hadn't touched anything. So I turn the temperature down all the way and the water gets hotter. Way hotter. I'm standing in the shower and I have to get out because the water is going to burn me. I stood there for five more minutes waiting for it to cool down enough to get back in and wash the shampoo out of my hair. I barely got it rinsed it before the temp jumped back up again, and the temperate was still set for as cold as it would go. Later that day, hours later, when my husband went to use the shower, He would have either scalding water or ice cold water and no in between. We found this problem to be constant in our 7 day stay. We also had the maintenance people look at the sink and they tried to fix it but it didn't really work. It didn't really bother me, I just wiped out the standing water but I was worried about water damage to their hotel and I leaking through to the room below if the problem went unchecked or unnoticed by the next guest. So the pipes are old and the shower was frustrating and you had to be careful using the sink so you didn't flood the area, but the staff is lovely and the rooms were clean and the beds are comfortable. And they have free wifi and the pizza place will deliver to your room.
The room size Very out of date, not worth the price. Needs to be 25% cheaper.
