Pros: It was a peaceful getaway for me and my wife. Very enjoyable and relaxing.
Cons: Room service was magnificent.
Pros: The room was really nice
Cons: Well satisfied
Pros: The look of the hotel is very cool. The rooms were spacious and clean with a nice bathroom area.
Pros: The hotel is right off the freeway, and the location is amazing. There is a gas station adjacent to the hotel, which was great because we just walked right over to buy some waters.
Cons: Pay for parking my car
Pros: Nice decor and great location
Cons: Charge for parking which is ridiculous. Girl who checked me in was a bit rude
Pros: The room was ready and clean! The staff were friendly and attentive. We were only there overnight but it was very nice, quiet enough and clean (which to me is the most important feature)!
Cons: Nothing, it was all good
Pros: Clean, spacious, nice amenities. Close to freeway and airport.
Cons: Lack of nearby attractions. Far from downtown and other tourist areas/attractions.
Pros: Clean, and luxurious feel. Easy access, and only minutes from Manhattan Beach.
Cons: Restaurant was mediocre.
Pros: Huge rooms deigned and furnished lavishly.
Cons: A bit too far from any touristy attractions. Not a walking hotel b
Cons: Parking charge.
Pros: Location and good price
Cons: Front desk staff / accounting staff are incompetent
They double charged for the room and then didn't seem to think it was a big deal. I'm sure it will get refunded sooner or later but just a hassle. First and last Ayres hotel stay
Conveniently located just minutes from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and downtown Manhattan Beach, Ayres Hotel Manhattan Beach offers convenience, comfort and old world elegance. Each guest will enjoy pristine accommodations as well as complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi. A daily full breakfast is at a surcharge. Self-parking is available at $10 per night.
Pros: Facilities are beautiful, staff is super friendly. Lots of character - way better than the other nearby chain hotels. Pool terrace has a great view of the beach - Palm Terrace rooms are great since you get a patio!
Cons: Pool is quite small.
Pros: good survice
Cons: everythings good
At Hotel Casa Del Mar, you'll be just a 5-minute drive from Santa Monica Pier and Santa Monica College. After having fun at the outdoor pool, you can grab a bite to eat at the restaurant or unwind with a drink at the bar/lounge. Other highlights at this exclusive hotel include a health club, a fitness center, and a steam room.
Pros: My husband and I had a fabulous stay at the Marina del Rey Hotel.
Our room had a amazing view of the marina, was very well appointed and the staff couldn't have been more helpful.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to that part of LA.
Pros: Vibrant lounge with a nice view of the marina.
Cons: $30 valet only parking option!! Weird odor in the room
Pros: Ambiance was great from the beachy/sea vibe in the lobby with the "flying" seagull sculptures hanging from the ceiling a wonderful scent machine in the lobby that makes you feel like you are at the beach.
Very romantic setting at the outside bar complete with couches and fire pits.
Beds were super comfortable.
Cons: $30/day for valet parking is a bit steep when there is plenty of parking around the hotel. Give an option for people to park their own cars, even if you have to charge a fee.
Pros: The remodel is first class.
Cons: The front desk service was fine. The dining was terrible. Slow inattentive service, overdone steak, raw salmon, overpriced.
Pros: We loved the view, facilities, great beds and location of the hotel.
Cons: No complaints.
5 miles from the Los Angeles International Airport, this hotel is 4 blocks from the shops and restaurants of Fisherman's Village and a mile from a public beach.
Cons: Engineering in the room for the first 40 minutes with no resolution-- had to change rooms... Not the engineers' fault but we should not have been checked in to a room in repair. It made for a stressful beginning.;'(
SHUTTERS ON THE BEACH is 5 star Hotel located Santa Monica, Los Angeles (CA).
Pros: I liked that the hotel was near the water, close to a concert I was attending.
Cons: I booked this hotel because they had balconies and it was near the water. The balcony was closed due to renovations. The bath tub was small , hotel was a little outdated. Not as special as a experience as I was hoping for
Pros: Nice place, but not worth the Ritz premium. I would stay at the JW Marriott in Santa Monica next time I'm in the area.
Pros: Hotel staff was outstanding; from valet, front desk & concierge all the way through to pool attendants, room service and bell desk.
Cons: Totality , needs upgraded , bathrooms , amenities , need more restaurants .
Pros: Staff is great, and generally a very nice hotel.
Cons: Doesn't live up to our expectations based on previous experiences at other Ritz hotels. It feels tired, not as luxurious as others, and is starting to show some age without upkeep. A simple example would be the pool has cracked tiles and feels rundown.
Pros: I like the avalibiliy of the staff
Cons: For a younger crowd in there 25-30 age it's not an appeasing hotel it's more for older crowd like 50-60 so for me being a pro Olympic athlete and being 23 yrs old I didn't enjoy it that much
Pros: the location
Cons: room service food. the french soup was disgusting. There was also no glasses in the room.
time it took to get the food
valet parking took 15 mins to get our car
Pros: I can't begin to find words to express how much we enjoyed our stay at the Marina del Rey Ritz Carlton! We arrived on a Wednesday morning with a sick child. The staff immediately took charge helping to get us situated with a room and going so far above and beyond ensuring that our stay was enjoyable. From the person who greeted us to take our luggage, to the valet, to the front desk staff to the wait staff in the restaurant and the gift shop (which opened up for us to get us meds in the middle of the night) to the manager who followed up even after we had left their hotel, every layer was kind, attentive and fantastic! They honestly made us feel like we were at home with family who was concerned about us. What a fantastic experience! T

Pros: - There was one really fantastic bellhop
- Near enough to my personal gym (Equinox)
- Near enough to shopping, etc
Cons: - None of the rooms have an actual full ocean view
- Rude/weird reception staff
- The second room I was moved to disgusting i.e. someone else's hair shavings in the shower, what looked like dried vomit on the blinds in the bathroom
- Literally heard a family on the elevator say "I'm so ready to get out of this place"
- Restaurant is overcrowded with the LA "wannabe" set, not a great scene, actually a really weird scene
- "Luxury" is a stretch here. This hotel would make sense in Vegas
Pros: Nice smell in lobby
Cons: No complimentary water bottles
Pros: Decor was nice, staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: Small room, valet parking was expensive, no free wifi or breakfast.
Located on a quiet residential street, this Los Angeles-area hotel with Art Deco façade is 2 blocks from the beach and Third Street Promenade shopping; the Santa Monica Pier is 4 blocks away.
Cons: I didnt check in until after 1:00am, I flew in from Miami. Requested a late check out, the front desk clerk told me 1pm. I was woken up by knocking at the door at 11:30 then again at 12:30. Not sure why that happened, wasn't cool.

Pros: The BWP was extremely clean and felt comfortable. I enjoyed the layout of the room and the furnishings. The breakfast that was included was worth it. Not to mention the front desk was friendly and helpful.
Cons: The pool was so small and the weight room wasn't very big at all. But this wasn't a big deal at all.
Pros: Not much
Cons: The price of almost 200/night got me motel 6 like accommodations.
Pros: It was convenient to where I was working.
Cons: The room was dark and the lighting poor. I had a view out of my window of a wall. It was clean enough to my liking.
No one bothered to ask how my stay was when I left.
Pros: I was very impressed with this hotel. I rarely write reviews, but I was so impressed that I thought about writing one while I was still there! The pool was nice and clean and I wished that I'd had more time to enjoy it. So too was the spa. The breakfast was a complete breakfast that I could last all day on! Everything in the room was also nice, clean, and comfortable, and there was so much more I didn't get to take advantage of. Also it is in walking distance to the beach. The business center was well equipped and in good working order. The staff was nice and friendly.
Pros: It was 10-15 mins from the beach waterfront. The customer service was friendly.
Cons: The room we stayed in had no phone signal connection and it was on the first floor. The rooms were outside of the main building and the lower level is where we had no signal and had to step around to get a connection
Pros: The breakfast was really nice, one of the best continental breakfasts I've had at a hotel - everything you could possibly want including hot dishes that tasted freshly made. Always very clean and breakfast room staff were very polite. The pool area was nice, unfortunately it was just too cold when we were there to enjoy it. Located close to the beach and a number of nearby restaurants and other shopping.
Cons: The room we were in was supposedly a Queen with a sofa bed, but it was more like a Full with a sofa bed. My 3-year old didn't care about the comfort of the sofa bed, but an older kid might have been pretty uncomfortable on the thin mattress. Also, we had a few ants in the bathroom - might be a hard thing to control with 1st floor rooms in a warm climate?
Pros: This hotel is located centrally to shopping , dining, and the beach. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quite nicely appointed. The pool is especially nice.
Cons: The only thing I can even think of that could have been improved on is that the ice maker is on the 1st floor. That's a little inconvenient if you're trekking all the way from the far end of the 3rd floor.

Pros: It was right across from the marina. A beautiful setting. Convenient to restaurants and nightlife. The staff was very friendly. The room was immaculate and clean. I enjoyed my stay. I would highly recommend it.
Pros: The lobby, close location to Venice beach and the bar were quite nice. Staff is accommodating and nice.
Cons: Rooms and interiors of the halls were old, carpet is definitely old, and the lounge for elite members is tiny (cramped seating). Really small outdoor pool.
Pros: The service and staff were great - hotel is very nice!
Pros: Room was nice and clean
Cons: Parking for $37, valet only was a rip-off!
Cons: Parking fee not included in stay
Cons: Rooms not ready for check in

With our brand new lobby, inviting outdoor lounge and spacious new guest rooms offering panoramic views of Marina del Rey, Southern California coastlines, along with city and mountain views of the entire Los Angeles basin, you’ll find that our hotel is the perfect location.
Pros: The room was large, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were FANTASTIC! (The even helped us find a pizza place open late to get a late snack). Everything was in walking distance, we didn't take our car out of the garage once!
Pros: For the price, the hotel was excellent. Rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. It was walking distance to the main attractions in Hermosa beach which was nice. The rooftop pool was great and the view of the sunset was awesome.
Cons: I feel like the hotel nickel and dimed the guests for everything. The bathroom products were cheap and left my skin and hair extremely dry. There were bike rentals, but they were 20-30$ for the day. Parking was 30$/night. I generally felt like the staff was overwhelmed as well.
Cons: Coffee machine in room but no ceramic coffee cups provided to use it. Told per IHG platinum member could not use club room with free breakfast because rewarded with bonus points.
Pros: I loved the all around look and feel of the hotel. It was clean, the staff was hospitable, and the room was amazing.
Cons: Parking in the parking garage was an additional $125 for the 5 nights I stayed and was not disclosed when booking the hotel.
Cons: Could not change reservation when plans changed. Awful
Pros: House keeping staff are friendly and quick at preparing the room. Check in staff was friendly and it was a quick process. Clean room with a lot of space and giant mirror, balcony and fridge.
Cons: The fitness center is a small room with mainly cardio machines. Please add some free weights. The elevators, vending machine and ice are located in just one area of the hotel; my room was literally 88 rooms away from them.
The bathroom next door had a pipe issue that would make a huge noise every time the guest was using it and woke me up several times at night and in the morning.
At check out, the front desk lady was in a hurry and unfriendly (I didn't catch her name but she was red headed with eyeglasses).
Pros: Nice staff.
Cons: Some rooms can be quite an extended walk from the elevators.
Cons: I didn't get the room I reserved, I paid for ocean view room and I got a street view room
Pros: We had a very nice stay and will return in the future. Our son and family were also there and we all found the hotel to be helpful and attentive to our needs. The location is great and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We found the staff to be very helpful and willing to go the extra mile to make sure we were happy. 5 stars.
Cons: We also did NOT like the parking fees, but with that the only negative it's not such a big deal.
Pros: Liked the room. View was beautiful.
Cons: Didn't like paying for parking and getting a 100 fee that they say is mandatory after paying 170 for a room that was very pricy,
Pros: Room service and housekeeping had the best customer service at of whole hotel!
Cons: It looks like a hospital. No one greets you or shows that they want to be of service. I was looking forward to a bath after long conference and when turning on the water a huge clump of hair came out of drain and killed it for me.

Disneyland is just 30 miles from our location and the world-famous Santa Monica Pier is a short drive away.
Cons: I booked a room with two beds, when I showed up they did not have any rooms with two beds available. I had to book an additional room at my expense.
Pros: Good location. Close to LAX, not far from the beach. Room was great, very clean. Friendly staff, free parking was a huge plus.
Pros: The hotel was nice enough. I was in town on business and searching for places to relocate to in the area. This has always been my go to when I am on business travel and was excited to bring my girlfriend and show her where I stay when I travel to LA.
Cons: Unfortunately we had some items come up broken after we were gone all day. Management never came to see us after they promised that they would. Nothing has been done about it. I am not trying to get anyone in trouble, but at least give me the courtesy of attempting to make it right instead of constantly saying sorry. Sorry doesn't fix it, it admits fault which further enraged by the lack of effort to make things right
Pros: While being close to the airport you don't hear much from the planes.
Pros: Extremely courteous and helpful staff and comfortable amenities.
Cons: Indoor signage for pool/spa is lacking.

Pros: I though the hotel's location was cool, off the main road but still tucked away and private.
And the rooms were comfortable and newly renovated.
Cons: I didn't like the rooms lay out. (No foyer or hallway to separate the room door from the sleeping area) You see the light leek in from under the door and the foot traffic in the hall feels very close as you lay in bed. Also the robes were only a large and fit me more like a child's robe than one for an adult.
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff
Included wired and wireless Internet access (~8 Mbs up & down)
Cons: Valet parking only ($15/day)
Floors are creaky, can easily hear the guests walking around in room above
Pros: Very comfortable beds. Love the hip decor. Would come back again. Really Nice people. In general we really enjoyed Manhattan Beach more than other coastal cities. It's less cramped feeling and has a wonderful Beach.
Cons: Valet parking. I'm guessing you could park in neighboring streets if you wanted. It's on a busy street but it's nestled back a bit so you don't feel it.
Pros: The staff couldn't have been nicer and it made the stay that much more enjoyable! Highly recommended and will stay here again!
Pros: I arrived late because my flight from Miami was delayed a few hours. As I walked in around midnight, the staff helped me load up my suitcases into a trolley and directed me to where I could take my dog out for a walk. I ordered a breakfast that night for sometime between 9:00am and 9:30am the following morning, and it arrived promptly by 9:05am. The staff also allowed for a later check-out at 12:30pm to give me time to maneuver my belonging and dog. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. I would recommend.
Cons: They stopped serving food for room service pretty early.
Pros: Love the idea if complementary cookies. I didn't eat any but the idea is great. Thanks.
Cons: They nickle and dime you on the breakfast. $9.99 for a bowl of oatmeal. Nooooo! So sad. $30.00 for the two of us to have eggs, sausage and potatoes. Really. And the OJ was a separate charge, ouch.
Pros: The hotel has many positives such as: clean surroundings, friendly staff, great food, free wifi, & an inexpensive valet.
Pros: I really thought the room was lovely--large. Things seemed updated and clean. Bed was fairly comfortable--everything worked well. Staff was warm and friendly. Cookies in the afternoon provided at front desk.
Cons: First bellman didn't tell us that we could stay parked in the Handicapped Parking spot in front. Second bellman did, but a $10.00 charge appeared on the final bill. Staff took it off when I explained. Requested 4 pillows and a view as our most important request. No view and only 2 pillows on bed when we arrived. Bellman brought two more pillows after a phone call. Artwork in hallway is a series of gigantic pictures of 1950 ish dolls---creepy. Including a 5X7 framed photo of one of the doll pictures on the desk in the room. i could see one, but entire hall lined with them.
Pros: We loved the location, cleanliness, size of the room and price.
Cons: Room service- the breakfast was awful! We didn't eat all of it because it was a soggy wet fried egg sandwich with rolls of lunch meat and wet uncooked spinach. Honestly don't get breakfast there. Also the front desk girl didn't make eye contact or smile once- not sure why but that got to me.
Pros: The room decor and space were both excellent. The bed felt firm in an inexpensive fashion, but was still reasonable in comfort. The real reason for the low rating in an otherwise four star establishment was the complete lack of hot water pressure at 1030 am on a weekday.
Pros: Overall we loved the hotel and will go back. Very clean, comfortable, quiet. Nice restaurant/bar upstairs. Courtyard peaceful. Staff very friendly.
Cons: The paintings of the "Barbie"-like girls in the hallway were odd.
The Belamar is located 1.5 mi from downtown Manhattan Beach, and numerous restaurants and shops. The hotel lies 4 mi from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
Cons: Older noisy appliances, not a lot of food options in walking distance, uncomfortable bed.
Pros: The location is convenient
Cons: It was dirty and needs a renovation. Staff was NOT friendly.

Pros: The location is good - very close to the beach and restaurants
Cons: Horrible customer service - they overcharged me for a number of items, including mini bar purchases that we didn't make, and then 'investigated' while we waited 20 minutes for them to tell us they had no receipts. They never apologized after essentially suggesting we were lying. They rented out the entire pool and outdoor area for a Lincoln car event so guests had zero access to the outdoor pool area, which was a main selling point of this hotel. The carpet in the hallways had duct tape in many places because it was old and ripped. When I initially called to tell them we were checking in late, I had to call back three times because they first transferred me to the wrong person, then put me directly into voicemail. When I finally spoke to reception to confirm they would hold our king bed high floor room, they said they don't guarantee a high floor, which is exactly what we paid for and I told them that was listed on my reservation. After arguing over it, they confirmed I would be on a high floor. Overall, customer service was lacking and you didn't feel at any time that you were a priority - more of an inconvenience for them actually. Not worth the price they charge and definitely not a relaxing experience.
Pros: It didn't have the elegance - seemed cheesy w decor. We were sad it wAsnt on the beach for $650 a night. Dining room was not inviting - just a sad time overall but the beds were soft and linens were good.
Pros: It has a great service
Very nice decoration and design
Great location (crossing the street is the Hotel Shutters, on Ocean Avenue and 5 minute walk to third street promenade)
This Los Angeles-area hotel is set across from the civic center, 2 blocks from the beach and famed Santa Monica Pier; the airport is 9 miles away.
Pros: Clean room and convenient location. Nice common areas. Mostly friendly and helpful staff. The best price for the overpriced area.
Cons: This location has under gone a half hearted renovation. The price doesn't match the quality. The layout of the property is odd and there are no rooms with good views. Some of the furniture is banged up. The water temperature is difficult to control in the sinks. Sewer gas smells would come from the bathroom drains at night. Lower levels can hear movement from upper levels.
Pros: Good location and staff was very accommodating.

Pros: Clean, neat, great breakfast, lots of kids, great place to stay while visiting my hometown.
Pros: Nice, cozy space, loved that there's a kitchen.
Cons: Breakfast wasn't much better than a $100/night hotel

Pros: Good value for the price, Clean, comfortable, nice staff.
Pros: The location was unbeatable and after we found ants everywhere in the first room the staff was super accommodating and upgraded us to a suite right across from our first room so it was not a hassel for us to change rooms. Checked in on us after we moved which I thought was a nice touch. Rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable.
Cons: Ants EVERYWHERE in the first room. The vending machine was sold out of every drink?
Pros: For the cost, the location was good plus free parking really added to the overall value. It was an easy walk to the beach, to Hermosa pier and shopping. Nice neighborhood.
Cons: Noisy AC unit. Frig was turned off and had a puddle of water in it. TV was unplugged. Lighting was dim.
Pros: We were happy with the room its self and the location.
Cons: The staff was not very friendly or helpful and they said they offered a portible crib bit when we asked they said they had them but the janitor/maintence guy had the key so they didn't have access to them?
Pros: Perfect location and great value for the money. Nice staff and great location in hermosa! The rooms are updated and surpass the appearance of the outside. 100% staying here next time I come to hermosa, unless I just go ahead and move :)
Pros: Nice and friendly staff. Room always kept clean. Will come back
Pros: Very clean, very friendy, very comfortable, loved the ocean view, I will return again.

Hotel Oceana offers a cool inviting atmosphere throughout the suites and public spaces giving it the perfect mix of space and style. Hotel Oceana is ideally located on Santa Monica's famous Ocean Avenue and is just steps away from the Pacific Ocean, the Santa Monica pier, as well as the hip Third Street Promenade and Montana Avenue shopping districts, both well-known for their retails outlets, restaurants and entertainment options.
Pros: Service was excellent and the free exhale class each day and pool area make this my new go-to to relax in LA. Little touches like the house car make it really easy to enjoy the neighborhood and the great restaurants (many of which are walking distance, too).
Cons: Smoke in the room from the vent. Pillows feels like straw filling. Bedding ok. It is not a Fairmont standard.
We invite you to experience the very best of Santa Monica at Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows with bungalows designed by Michael Berman, seasonal cuisine at FIG Restaurant, The Bungalow by Brent Bolthouse and fitness by exhale mind body spa. Just steps away from the beach, the pier and the promenade.
