Pros: "The staff at both airports were amazing. (SNA/SFO) From ease of arrival at check in by Alaska Airlines staff to the airport security at SFO providing assistance to help me guide my ride to pick me up the best description of where I was to ease pick up. That’s not to mention the Alaska staff that allowed me to move my flight up to accommodate my schedule or the excellent staff at the gate and on the plane. Very nice experience!"

If a customer has a short layover, which their system knows about since it is the sourve of the flight plans, put the customer toward the front of the aircraft since these flights are habitually late and customers end up having to sprint through airports to try to make connections."

Pros: "The seats were the widest with the most cushion and padding I've ever had on any flight, I think all their seats were like that. The plane we were on had more leg room than your average flight. Also the backs of the chair were very tall, leaving even mpre head room perfect for tall people . I fly a lot and sometimes my knees hit the seat in front of me or when they recline it shoves the tray to close to you. Not on this flight there was enough room for me to lay back in the seat had the adjustable headrest that went up and down and also curved in to hold your head from falling on your neighbor next to you. Love the fact they had the USB plug-in in front of you. And the crew constantly kept coming through to empty trash and offer beverages. The plane was clean bathrooms in front and back of the airplane. Over all quiet engine and we were above the wings. Temperature good."
Cons: "The crew member that was checking in people at the gate would talk so fast we could barely understand what he was saying on the overhead announcement. I was traveling with someone who was hearing impaired so we were unaware of that they were getting ready to board. The electronic TV monitor wasn't updating to say boarding to notify people that would be helpful for the hearing impaired. Or--if a crew member is muffled on the announcement or talks too fast you can't understand or know what's going on. The most frustrating thing for me and my daughter we were both expecting to use Delta online entertainment. There are no monitor screens in the seats in front of us on this plane. So we were able to use our phones, but it would not download and once It finally downloaded we couldn't upload any of the movies. Connection speed way too slow. The warning said there were too many people on it at that time. Also I like it when they offer free headphones for people that don't have them. An example that would benefit people that don't want to listen to loud people on the plane or babies that are crying."

Cons: "We had seats at first where there was what looked like bubble gum bits stuck on one of the food trays. The flight was clearly not cleaned although it landed 2+ hours before the departure. We had to ask for a wet tissue and clean it up. That was of no use too as it wouldn't scrub off. My wife was feeling under the weather and so we asked for a blanket. The blanket was hardly a blanket and more like a towel. We then luckily could switch seats as there were 2 vacant. But, the air conditioner was leaking water in the seat to our left. The crew was callous and just stuck the passenger with some napkins saying it does that. I don't fly Delta a lot and my experience in this trip isn't inspiring much confidence."

Cons: "The aft lavatory had a broken seat lid so they took the entire lavatory out of commission for our flight, and our flight knowingly experienced ground delays so one lavatory for 100 people for several hours is UNPLEASANT. One crewmember was in a foul mood, and due to the lavatory issue, refused to let anyone use the forward lavatory while she was doing drink service, even during an emergency."

Cons: "I arrived at the airport and had already checked in and had m boarding passes. For some reason they could not find me when I went to check my bag. After 30 minutes they saw that my seat assignment had been changed and that is why my boarding passes that I had printed at home did not match what their computer showed. I booked this reservation in May and had a seat chosen fairly toward the front. I am 73 years old and the closer to the front I can be helps. When I finally got on the plane to my surprise my seat was the very last seat on the plane across from the restroom. People continued to leave the door open after using the restroom so had to get up and continue to close the door or look at the restroom the whole flight. There was never any explanation as to why they did this. As a result, being lst off the plane, I almost missed my connection as I had to go two terminals over for my connection. At my age I cannot run so I arrived as the last people were getting on the plane. I will never fly American Airlines again."

Cons: "I called American Airlines as ssoon as I book my trip to set up and make sure my small dog could fly with me. They neglected to inform me their partner, jetstar, does not fly animals. My luggage did not arrive with me. Both of my suitcases were mangled and broken. Items in my suitcases were shattered and crushed even though they were well packed and protected. We got stuck on the terminal in MSP and missed our connecting flight. When we finally arrived the systems were down and could not get new flights or hotels. We were told we could not get hotels and had to argue for an hour. Even though it was a maintenance issue. I arrived a day late and had to take extra leave. The plane from LAX to Tokyo was horrific. I booked a window seat, was stuck in the very middle. There was no way to charge outlets devices. The screen did not work. And my new luggage was also damaged with even more items destroyed."

Cons: "Arrived in Phoenix and hurried to my next gate for the flight to Palm Springs only to discover a delay in the flight. No marguees were updated, no explanation just the plane had not arrived. Soon after we were told of a gate change, the marquee then said the flight would not arrive until 11 pm it is a one hour flight, so we actually arrived at 10 pm."

The American travel agent was pleasant but we would have been out of luck if we weren't proactive and frequent travelers trying every flight option available. Finally, after over an hour on the phone we resolved the issue through another carrier."

Also, I've never been to an airport where you exit the boarding doors in the terminal then head down stairs to the tarmac to board a bus that make a complete lap of the terminal going near every AA plane obviously trying to figure out which one they need to drop us off at. If can get this close to losing people I now understand how luggage gets lost so often."

Cons: "Ear headphone jack would not turn down, you could hear the show from three seats away and the flight attendant was rude when I asked her for some different headphone to see if it would help. She acted like I was stupid and said "well did you turn it down?" Of course I tried that. I was very taken back by how she acted."

Cons: "Our plane ended up being delayed in Hermosillo for 2+ hours which caused us to miss our connections in Phoenix. The Mexican military gave American a very precise window in which they needed to take off from Hermosillo by, because of planned military maneuvers. The plan arrived on time but we missed our take-off window by 8 minutes. The ground crew and flt. crew showed no sense of urgency in getting the plane prepared to take off, the boarding of the plan etc. We could have easily taken off within the allotted window, except there was no sense of urgency or advance notice to any of the passengers. American in Phoenix made no attempt to accommodate us and we ended up having to buy tickets on Southwest in order to get home. Overall, a terrible experience."

Cons: "i had my boarding pass and chose my seat some time ago, in row 4. When I checked in, the AA representative switched my boarding card and I was told that my seat was no longer available. When I got to the gate, I spoke to the gate attendant. There were several people also speaking to them about their seats. I did not have a seat assigned to my boarding pass, so I stood until the entire plane boarded and the gate attendants could sort things out. In the end, I was given a seat at the back of the plane, even though booked my seat some time ago and am a Sapphire member. When I boarded, there was no room for my carry-on luggage. The flight attendant already understood what happened. She immediately took my bag, and found a space at the front of the airplane. This is the second disappointing flight in a row in 2 weeks I have had with AA. I'm not sure if it's just bad luck, or has something to do with the company. I had flown with U.S. Airways for years and never experienced any major issues."

Cons: "It was a tough day due to weather delays and cancellations, but the airport crew was overwhelmed and failed to control the massive crowd. At one point, service members started calling out destinations and it became a free for all. Passengers jumped over each other and across the ropes to cut in front. Elderly and children were pushed aside. At the gate, it was announced "in 15 minutes, we will ask passengers needing help to board", followed immediately by another crew member "we are already boarding all passengers!", then right back to the first crew "we are not boarding yet, we will start boarding in 15 minutes". Confusion! Departure was listed on time, but we really left 40 minutes late."

Cons: "Flight from San Francisco to Las Vegas on a Friday night: - 4 hour delay - After heading to the gate to finally board our flight (~30 minutes before departure), we overhear the desk agent telling the people coming to the desk - not even by announcement over intercom! - that the gate had been moved to the INTERNATIONAL TERMINAL. - This meant that we had to run across the airport and go through security again! The agent also neglected to tell us that mobile tickets for Frontier (even on the app?!) were not accepted at the international terminal. On top of that, you would think they'd have at least one agent available at the main counters to deal with any resulting problems. Two friends who could not get in with the mobile app and had to run around to even OTHER sister airline kiosks just to find someone to print the ticket (even the touchscreen kiosks wouldn't print). We even had a friend that did get through security run to the gate to talk to the boarding agent and was VERY rudely told to just "go ask TSA how to deal with it." - By the time everyone arrived to the gate (~30 minutes PAST the projected boarding time), they announced that they would just need a little time to just clean up and turn around the airplane. We take a look aside to see that there isn't even a plane at the gate! Overall, as cheap as these seats might get, don't waste your time your time. You get what you pay for, and a headache to add."

Then, keep I'm mind that you don't get to select a seat unless you pay another $20. When you finally do get on the plane after an hour delay and get your seat, you'll experience the most uncomfortable flight of your life in what can only be described as the equivalent of a folding plastic chair with fake leather glued to it. It doesn't recline, it has practically no padding, it has no head or neck support, the armrest is about 6" long and 1" wide to share with the overweight woman next to you, and the tray table is the size of an iPad mini. Whatever, brush it off and try to relax when they come by with your drink and pretzels, right? Wrong. Because the new Frontier Airlines has decided that they waste too much money on a cup of soda that must cost them a whopping 5 cents at the bulk rate they buy it in. You want that can of soda? $2 it is then. Bag of pretzels? $4 because f**k you, where the f**k else are you going to buy a snack at 34,000 feet in the air. To be perfectly fair, we arrived safe and sound, albeit late, and the people were friendly. That said, the measures Frontier has taken to inconvenience the customer just to make their ticket slightly cheaper is not worth it. I will not be returning. It's worth paying whatever the next best airline charges to avoid Frontier."

Pay to check a bag, and then when your bag returns to you demolished (seriously, they broke a wheel off my boyfriend's bag, which has been on many trips via other carriers with no damage, and they tore all the trim off my bag, which i have used for hardcore travel almost monthly). Pay to get decent seating. Pay for refreshments--that's right folks, if you want water on this flight, it'll cost you. Gate agents were huddling, talking to each other while we waited at the front of the line and folks stacked up behind us. Unprofessional. I'm sticking with Southwest from now on. You wait to print, then wait to check, then wait to drop your own bags (with zero instruction or customer service or signage), then wait for security. They hate for EVERYTHING: just to check in for your flight and pick a seat. $11-17-37 to sit together. Each. And then for bags. $35 to check and $60 to carry on (makes no sense) even when checking in online early. And even more cost to have both checked and carry on. And seats don't recline, that costs more. And have a 4inch by 5 inch-ish tray table. And EVERYTHING costs money onboard from WATER to Pepsi to snacks. It cost an extra $92 each way for two of us to check in and check one small bag. My back hurts and I will ALWAYS pay a bit more for another airline."

Had to pay to check OR to carry-on. 2) Flew out of Chicago O'Hare - a major hub - and Frontier, Spirit, Virgin America, & Alaskan all shared a SINGLE security check. Yes ladies and gentleman, one security scanner. I have never in my life (usually fly American, United, or Southwest) waited more than 30 minutes to get through security. This time was well over an hour, I almost missed my flight. 3) On-board staff was friendly (all but one woman), but there were no complimentary beverages or snacks. I did pay for some & they were not too pricey, but having to whip out my credit card yet again made my whole travel experience feel far from effortless."

Pros: "The flight was cancelled 1-1/2 hours before the scheduled take-off [9 am flight on 12/16/15] without any explanation whatsoever. The counter representatives gave very inadequate instruction, and did not appear very compassionate to the customers. I had to wait on hold for a CSR for 50 minutes before I was helped. Then, it took 45 more minutes to schedule another flight on American Airlines. The whole event was unnecessarily stressful."

Cons: "We didn't even get to go on the plane. The flight was cancelled before we got to the airport. They gave us no explanation why it was cancelled. Also the information they gave us was terrible. A woman gave us a parse that said "call this number to reschedule" as soon as we called it, the reply was "I'm sorry we are closed try calling this number." It took about 2 hours to figure out how to get scheduled on a different airline."

When a southwest flight going to the airport as us schedule for a original take off about 10 mins apart left four hours before our flight.. Does not make since to me. There was a open row and my friend and I traveling together just asked to sit there together since no one was in the isle at all.. After sitting in a small airport waiting for a flight for 7 hours I would have expected more welcoming service.. Cons: "A $30 ticket ended up costing me over $200 because of all the extra charges for baggage. Never once have I been charged to take my guitar on a plane but they wanted $60 at the gate. Not to mention that I flew Frontier with my guitar for free 3 weeks before this happened. I will never fly with Frontier again. Do yourself a favor and choose an airline that is upfront about what they will charge you for."

Now they're only offering me a $70 refund when I had to pay $300+ to actually get home for my 2yr old nephew's funeral. never flying spirit again. Even though you check in a bag online and print out your boarding pass, the line at the counter goes slow. Its probably because the weight of your check in bag needs to be less than 40lbs, this is unlike any other airline where the standard is 50lbs. So everyone is trying to take out their heavy items so that they don't have to pay an additional $25 on top of the $42 dollars they've already paid. THE WORST!!!"

Pros: "direct flight to west coast. nice."
Cons: "the seats seemed really new and cheap -- would not lean back and the pouch behind the seat with just cords, no pouch. They charge $55 each way for carry on's, $110 additional. Any drink.... in fact ANY thing additional during the flight is a $2 to $10 charge per. Just be prepared for that."

Cons: "I paid the same amount for a one way Southwest flight as I did for a Spirit flight going the opposite direction - however, when you add all the extra costs Spirit piles on, it's stupid. They even charged for WATER. We only were able to get a free glass of ICE. Don't use "Only pay for what you use" as a positive advertisement. That's cheap & petty, and I'm never flying with Spirit again. Southwest all the way! The website was really hard to navigate, and when I tried to process a payment to have my bag paid for early, it didn't go through. They want you to pay the higher price at the airport."

Cons: "mediocre really is the most reasonable description for literally everything, not terrible but just... meh"
