The previous really positive guest reviews made me try this hotel and I wasn't disappointed. The location close to St Paul's is perfect, and the value for money you get at this hotel is OK for London standards. Big plus: Though the hotel is in the upper price category, they offer free WiFi. I expect this from hotels of any category nowadays, but it´s not standard (yet). The spa area closes already at 9pm, and you have to leave the building to enter the spa *brrr*. I know significantly cheaper venues that will switch on the sauna on guests' request 24/7. After an exhausting day at work that might last until 7-8pm, 9pm is just too early to close the spa.
My room was probably the quietest I have ever had in a city hotel. The position of the hotel is good for access to the river, the St Pauls/Tower Bridge tourist interests and comfortable walking distance from the city. Although not my favourite architectural style, the steel, glass and marble style of this hotel is well implemented. My room was well equipped with electronic gadgetry from contactless door card to Ipod dock and flat screen TV with good range of channels. The brilliantly illuminated advertising display that extended the full height of the 6 floor attrium seemed an odd feature and required two layers of curtain the shield the light from my inner facing room window.
I thought the hotel was beautiful. The design of the building was very impressive. I found the staff very helpful and informative. I had a very relaxed weekend away at Grange St Pauls and thought the location was perfect as it was just round the corner from the tube with only 2 stops to Oxford Circus. I think there should be swimming costumes available to buy at the spa.
Everything about Grange St. Paul's contributes to a premium hospitality experience. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or stay there again and again.
The new look, contemporary design and rooms are furnished immaculately and easily one of the best rooms I have stayed at in London. I recommend contacting Guest Relations (Simonetta in particular - who is simply one of the most professional and courteous people I have ever met)prior to arrival so they can ensure an enjoyable stay. They ensure all your needs are met prior to check in.
I found the staff to be very helpful and professional in every aspect.
The location of hotel was excellent, just a short walk from St Paul's Station. The facillities at the hotel paricularly the swimming pool/spa were fantastic, we just wished we could have stayed longer.
Great facilities and location - truly 4 to 5 star. Staff are not outstanding but try to be helpful. Skip the breakfast - a rip off , go to Starbucks instead. easy access to tube and major sights. Great gym !
the gorgeous spa the breakfast not being included
It's location, the size of the room and its design. Good staff too, concierge staff was very nice and useful. However, the bar staff was terrible, took forever to get any service and they did not take orders properly. Only negative of the hotel really.
Quality Suites, Good Food, Fitness Center, Location Minor Issue at reception with breakfast not being delivered because the breakfast card was not picked up from the door, which I did not mind.
We had a really comfortable room with a sofa and a view over the atrium The lifts were a real problem. There are only two and at peak times we had to wait a long time. No alternative stairs were signposted which might relieve the delays.
Perfect location. Quiet. Excellent breakfast Restaurant closed at 4 pm
Red headed receptionist let me wait 30 minutes to check in while I had a lomg flight send traveling with my 4 years old son who was sleeping on my shoulder then she forced to upgrade my room for a fee of 60 euro as an option to stay in the hotel otherwise the room is not good and won't fit us even though we said is ok I sleep with my son in a king size bed. Breakfast was ok but stuff spoke bearly English!!!
excellent restaurant! highest quality Breakfastbuffet ever! great gym/spa stylish
The Andaz is in a great location and near the Liverpool St. Underground station. It is very well maintained and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. There was also plenty of staff if you needed assistance or information.
easy check-in, nice rooms terrible, over priced food... £20 for a sandwich! Also woken-up four times by the housekeeper in the morning.
The staff were very courteous and helpful. The interior is definitely a sight to see. The location was excellent. The free Wifi Internet service was poor, and there was no Internet service when hooked up directly to an ethernet cable.
The breakfast was very good. Staff over-the-top friendly and eager to please. Room was quite basic and spartan, but very clean, comfortable and quiet. The ancient pipes whined like sad puppies every time I used the sink, but I got used to it!
The reception people, the room, and the breakfasts were all great. Location is a bit out of the way if you plan on spending lots of time around Mayfair or Knightsbridge, so I ended up spending a ton on taxi. There is subway right around the corner though; but my company wanted to avoid.
I found the atmosphere at the Andaz to be very pleasant & relaxing. The majority of the staff were very convivial, efficient & well mannered. They couldn't do enough for you; particularly Sari in 1901 & the "head waiter" in Eastway on the Sat morning. We will definitely bereturning at some point.
The hotel was very modern and current which I liked and the staff were superb - very polite and couldn't do enought for me. Check in procedure - seemed a bit unorganised with the laptops and no real check in desk. The computers also kept breaking so staff had to go to a seperate room to activate room keys etc. Would prefer a traditional check in desk system.
Geografic Situation near Train Station. Loudness of air condition
High level of service from well presented staff, comfortable accomodation and welcoming coffee louunge. Noisy baby (unregistered) through thin walls in the next room. Your staff were helpful and accomodating
Comfortable room, great location Matress was a little soft and springy. Starting to look a little worn inside the rooms themselves
Very clean. Accessible. Not noisy. Bar has good food/drinks/dessert. Excellent breakfast!
Exceptional staff, amenities and location. US plugs were a bonus.
The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are very well appointed. The hotel is upgrading the heating system. We were mistakenly placed in a room that could not be heated to a reasonable temperature. It took multiple telephone calls before the manager was contacted and we were moved to another room.

Beautiful ckean room, with a great big bathroom (sepárate deep tub and shower)
We only stayed at the Threadneedles hotel for one night (Saturday night). We wished we would have stayed there during our entire stay in London. The May Fair Hotel (in the May Fair district) wasn't nearly as nice and/or personable. They really know how to threat a guest and exceeded our every expectation. Somewhat off the beaten path, but I'm now a firm believer that smaller boutique hotels are the way to go.

Location was perfect, comfort of a five star boutique hotel, fast service, front desk very helpful Room service only till 11pm I believe and no restaurant on Sunday evening. Not uncommon for London on a Sunday night as most hotel restaurants weren't open either and most local restaurant to were also closed. There were a couple of good alternatives
The staff are professional, warm and friendly. Location - wish it were closer to Victoria Train Station.
Loved it 💞
The staff were very helpful with everything we needed very nice hotel in a nice area. Close to the Tube.
The excellent location (30 second from St. Paul's Cathedral and 2minutes from the tube station), the room and the kindness of the staff.
The location is great, very close to the Underground, several train stations, and popular attractions. The front desk staff was excellent in handling our questions and requests. We needed to add a twin bed to our room for a 3rd guest, and they were very accommodating. The bells at St. Paul's Cathedral ring 24 hours a day, which makes it difficult for light sleepers. Fortunately the hotel can provide a noise machine if you ask.
Location was great. Right down the block from St Pauls, walk in one direction and there is the Tower Bridge, other way has the rest of the sights. Staff was incredible. We brought an infant, crib was set up and free. Forgot a power cord and they provided one. Room was a hotel room. Paid for the bigger room with kitchenette, not very exciting. Restaurant attached to hotel was great (dinner; did not have any other meals there). Very easy to get to from the airport (Gatwick). Link stop is across the street.
Location Quick registration process Access to public transport
the hotel was very clean and comfortable and had all comforts needed. very enjoyable stay.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. The guest lounge was lovely.
Ideal location in Central London at a reasonable price.
Excellent service, reasonable pricing. Smaller room.
Staff was attentive, professional. Hotel was clean. Location was ok. The bed was very uncomfortable. Room was very small, had bare essentials, but was clean.
Perfectly located for our venue. No Forex capabilities.
Great location opposite St Pauls Cathedral. Easy accesss to Gatwick with City Thameslink station 2 min walk Bells of St Paul's every 15 min but if you stay close, what can you expect.
The room was very expensive compared to other hotels that are better and the walls were that thin we were up all night listening to our neighbours.
The hotel was clean and comfortable. The decor was beautiful and it was a pleasure to stay there.,.10/10. Would definately go again.
Beds were amazingly comfy. Great location. Wonderful staff. Modern rooms. Would definitely stay again.
A consistent high standard is maintained that why we always stay here when visiting London. Nothing.
Clean, modern hotel. Friendly staff and good location for range of attractions. Perfect for a busy weekend break.
Excellent standards. The cost of drinks, (£5 for a whisky), and the fact that when I came to pay the bill, a 12% service charge was added which I wasn't told about when I ordered.
Convenient central location in City of London, near to Tower, river, transport etc Very poor value breakfasts - limited choice of cereal, 'toast' more like lukewarm bread
I felt I was being attended to at the hotel rather than just attending the Hotel Sound travelled between the rooms too easily. It wasn't a big issue for me but it was noticeable
Bed was comfortable and the staff was very friendly and willing to help give directions and recommendations. Breakfast in hotel lobby was not that appetizing. I would recommend finding another spot for breakfast.
Room very comfortable, breakfast good, staff excellent. Nothing comes to mind
the beds were very nice
Large, clean rooms; good beds.
We liked the clean and uncluttered room, the large shower space and the comfortable roomy bed. The slow service on check-in (we were running late so needed a quick turnaround) and the fact that the television did not work and it took a member of staff over half an hour to come and fix it.
All over wonderful stay. Friendly, helpful staff. Especially liked the purified fresh water and bottles near the elevator. Very close to pubs restaurants and transit.
Liked the location and the free latte in the lobby. Room was okay. Small but we'll organised and big enough for two. Window was overlooked by an office so had to keep the curtains closed. Bathroom was tiny and the shower was grimy - could do with a refresh.
The wifi was very good. Rooms were clean. Close to transport. The bathroom was old for this quality of hotel. Too expensive.
The shower never drain. it was water all at your feet. The door was broken . It was hard to close. I thought the room was bigger but it wasn't. It had a moldy smell
Good location, lovely staff.
Very clean and comfortable
proximity to business sector.. and the quietness at night.. no trouble sleeping also the service was available if required no
Relatively cheap and accessible need more check out staff on in the morning.
There was nothing best about it! I found it to be a very average hotel and it does not deserve its 4 star status! On the arrival details pack it says that you can have a dvd in your room for free. Just ask reception. I was charged £50.00 for this free service.
Location not too far from center London with good restaurants and bars across the street. Bed not confortable and tv positionned at a weird location far from the bed.
Friendly staff. It is a very quiet location during the weekend, most shops and restaurants are closed. So we would not recommend this hotel for a weekend break.
Very friendly staff. Beautiful rooms. Small and personal, without compromises in confort and design. nothing
The staff were all lovely, the room was beautiful and facilities in the room were excellent. The heating could not be adjusted so we were cold. The information in the room stated a set price breakfast was available but when we went down it was only available from a menu so very much more expensive.
Excellent location for purpose of our stay. Very nice room and the bed was very comfortable. Poor breakfast service. Waited half an hour. Food not very hot. Our first breakfast on the Frdiay (26th) had to be returned because of a hair in the cooked food! Overall not a good breakfast experience at all.
very friendly staff, hotel so clean. the area it was situated was so quite no other services near hand but tube station was near by.
We really enjoyed it. We stayed Friday night. Very comfortable sleep. We'll use it again.
The room was finished to a high standard and very comfortable
Staff were very helpful in directing us and lending myself an umbrella for the evening - nice touch. Bed was extremely comfortable and windows were also soundproof as there was work going on in the street outside that we were barely aware of until leaving the room.
Very helpful staff, nice room with big bed and bathroom nice to have a shower and a bath. Dirty toilet which was a shame as the rest was very clean
Recently opened, very clean, good bathroom with shower and bath. Good quality consumables and provisions. Staff very polite and helpful. Bar service and selection could be improved.
Location Internet charges - advertised 20 mins for 1 hour but only offered minimum 3 pound session
Unfussy but perfectly efficient service. Few staff but those who were there were very helpful. Only very very minor points, but I couldn't get the soap dispenser over the bath to work. Also, some drawers in the room would have been nice to help keep the room tidy.
Delightful and helpul young staff. They should be complimented. Unfortunately, I didn't take a note of their names.
No automatic heating system, beds too short!
Direct access to the adjoining Thames waterfront Pub/Restaurant greatly enhanced the experience - I do like to be able to view the river traffic. The only minor disappointment was the full English breafast cooked items in the tureens were not piping hot, and the plates for them were cold.
View of St Paul's and Thames at breakfast! Wonderful breakfast. Great situation for walking and tube . Rooms quiet and comfortable. Staff very pleasant . Anchor Bar very nice but drinks a bit expensive!
Staff in the hotel very efficient, friendly and attentive The room was very clean The air con was not adequate ?working. My husband had little sleep the firat night - reported to staff - we were refunded the cost of that night and moved to another room. The temperature in this room was a little better but the air con unit made rattling/banging noises on and off all night - this seriously disturbed my sleep. We reported this an apology was given, no refund given but as we weren't sure about the detail of your guantee we weren't expecting it. Had we not been going home we would have moved to another hotel. We were not the only people complaining so there was obviously a problem with the room temperatures - the weather was hot. The intrance to the hotel was through what looked like the back yard - not wonderful but ok, but seeing the chief, in his uniform, and other staff sat on the floor smoking was not good! The eating for the hotel was in the adjoining pub we had breakfast and one diner there. Rating ok but wouldn't eat there again, Food ok staff definately not up to Premier Inn standard. We have stayed in 3 other Premier Inns in the last 2 months - Tower Bridge, Hammersmith & Belfast we were completely satisfied with all of these - excellent service and value, we are not people who generally complain.
Very good location, the room was perfect, but the bed was a dream, the best sleep ever, kind like sleep in thje clouds, good staff, quality food, Have to pay for internet
Excellent location with friendly and informative reception staff. Room comfortable and quiet and rooms etc. well signposted. Well appointed restaurant with lovely view over the river. Soap dispenser in bathroom flimsy and did not work well. Restaurant for breakfast was cramped. Waiters were rushing around and general atmosphere was hectic. Several things were spilt. Coffee was cold and was located in a corner. Had to squeeze past people queueing for toast with a potentially hot drink which I assessed as being a hazard. A review of the layout might help this and maybe a new system of serving hot drinks so that they could be served fresh and hot.
Very clean. Bed very comfortable Initial booking taken in wrong name and despite several phone calls and an assurance that this had been amended it was not and the reservation was still in the wrong name when I arrived. On the Sunday evening at around 6.30 I was in my room. The door was locked and a amn with a suitcase let himself in under the impression this was his room. No staff apologised for this error.
