Clean, excellent accessability, comfortable
When I found the accomodation the room was very modern well equiped and very clean.
Location Room cleaned once a week and not sufficient
We loved the decorations and furnishings in the hotel and how close it was to the tube station. Location was very convenient for getting around London and staying in Notting Hill made us feel like locals. There really wasnt't anything we didn't like.
Staff was polite, location is great. Cleaning is at good standard. Value for money is well disproportioned, will not visit again. Terrible draft coming from the window next to the bed. Heating was not working so they fit a portable eating in the room. Shower facility very bad design, it gets overloaded and is not sufficient light on the bathroom.
It was very comfortable, particularly for the price we paid. Nothing, really, except the heater was somewhat noisy (but that's what you get in an old building, even when it's been nicely updated).
The staff were amasing and very helpful. I stayed three nights and then returned for an additional night at the end of my trip because the place was perfect in location, comfort and staff. Very impressed. I came from Australia and intend to use this as a base for business in the future.
Nothing. No hot water supply and no one came to fix it at all. Poor service and management
the house and the room are beautiful, a great location near the underground, portobello road and its nice market. The fully furnished the kitchen is appreciable too for quick meals The shower was difficult to use,too hot!!! The internet was not working in the room or worked by 5 min periods and nobody to help. A light did not work and the coffee maker was out of order.
I have serious problems with overcharging. I stayed there from November the 15th to the 29th. I first booked through booking.com for a week (November the 15th to the 22nd) so the Notting Hill Suites charged the first week of booking. I asked to stay another week and the receptionist said it wasn't paid and charged me two weeks instead of the other one I was asking for. After I realised that the first week was already paid and asked for a refund. The receptionist said ok and pretended he did the refund but it wasn't so.Then I asked again and he finally did the refund. The problem is that they charged me again for another two weeks. So if you are going to stay there, be very careful about what you pay, double check if they are not overcharging you.
Location was wonderful and hotel was clean. Showers were great. Room was exceptionally small. No hair dryer.
The breakfast was outstanding. The shower did not have a curtain or way to keep the water from going all over the toilet
They did not give me the deluxe room I reserved but a roon in a "sister" hotel which is mot the same as the one I was shown. They should be honest about what you are getting
great location, free wi-fi internet I have no complaints
Very good location, very cleen, very good performance of staff. Very very small rooms
very well located, two tube stations near the hotel, modern interieur. Very tiny room. I lived alone in a double room, so it was ok. I had to sleep with ear plugs (cause of the noise).
The rooms are of good quality, but rather small, and very clean.
The location & accessibility to the city. Luggage facilities, laptop safe in room & complimentary internet access were excellent. Size of room - was quite small & no iron/ironing board
The location was excellent - Bayswater and Queensway underground stations, and from Bayswater, it was only 1 stop from Paddington, which is the most central/accessible station. It was a 1/2 block from Hyde Park, which was very convenient. The original reason we booked was for the gym, which all the websites say they have. It turns out they got rid of it a while ago. When I walked to the front desk, they helped me arrange to use the gym at one of their other hotel properties about 0.3 miles away, which was nice.
Laundry was relatively inexpensive for a hotel. I could hear everything the persons next door and above were doing. Every step they took on the creaky floors, and could hear their conversations and television programs quite clearly. If you are a light sleeper, this will be a bad experience. If noise does not bother you, and you sleep like the dead, this is an inexpensive, passible stay. The hotel is old, hallways and corners scuffed and scarred, but once the lights are off, you can't notice the cosmetic issues. Hearing your neighbors, unfortunately, can't be cured with a light switch.
cleanliness and quality of room and fittings walls a bit thin so you could just hear the other guests
My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights on a sightseeing/shopping trip. I can be very picky about hotels but this one was excellent. The staff were very friendly and the hotel was lovely. The hotel was very modern and clean. The rooms were lovely and finished to a high standard. The bathroom was very modern and clean which we loved. The hotel's location was excellent; in a quiet street around the corner from a busier street and Bayswater underground. Couldn't fault the hotel at al and I look forward to visiting it again in the future.
Friendly Staff, very nice ambience Room decor looked tired.
Good location and price was right My room smelled funny.
Hotel area, availability of the staff generally, however the restaurant service was not very good. The face that they offered us a room with baathroom handicap facilities in the first place, which we did not refuse (the room was nice, except the bathroom) as we understood the hotel was busy.
Too small bathroom
Just round the corner from Queensway tube station. Fire alarm at 8am on a Sunday morning but this couldn't be helped!

I really liked the location and the amenities. The Underground was close, along with a nice selection of restaurants and Hyde Park. It was very well decorated and attractive. Some of the wait staff and the housekeeping could have been more consistent in their service. The housekeeper may or may not get to some of the details of our room each day. The restaurant waitstaff had new people each day, so there was some confusion in the dining room. Overall though, the leadership was excellent and professional.
Very comfy beds, clean room and reception very accomodating my request for a park view The showers are very bad, really low pressure
Very close to Queensway. Shower was like dried up waterfall.
Basic services worked and stay was without any hitches Overall atmosphere, which lacked warmth both in terms of interiors n attention.
Location, facilities incl. internet, all-round very good. None.
Very nice and clean, fast check-in and out and very friendly staff Rooms are a bit small, but beautiful
the room was great although very small there was no hot water at the hotel... in winter.... and I was only informed when I got there to check in.
The hotel was right near all the underground stations so it was easy to get to and from Westminster abbey and downtown attractions Very over pricey, but I guess you can expect that being in London
The hotel has a comfy atmosphere. the staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was excellent since it was close to Bayswater station (5 min walk) and Queensaway street with many international restaurants and convenience stores. The room and bathroom were extremely small. Barely enough room for one person to walk around. The corridors were narrow and claustrophobic, and the elevator was as small as a phone booth!
Location. 1- room and toilet are too small. 2- the clib coffee lounge didnt have coffee. the clib lounge i normaly went to other hotels inclusive of free flowing drinks and snacks and with inclusive breakfast.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds were nice and the location is perfect for those who want to see all of London. The room we were in was tiny. There was barely enough space for the bed, let alone for two big bags. The water pressure in the shower is very poor and during the last two days of our stay, there was no warm water in the hotel. The boiler was defect and couldn't be fixed in time. The hotel taxi charged more then the pre-agreed price, eventhough we repeated the address twice.
Good rate, good standard, nice hotel Rooms far too small, shower did not work, no pressure.
the building is very impressive. Breakfast and reception staff very amiable and attentive. Room was quiet. nothing springs to mind
Inexpensive, good location, modern fittings, quite stylish (until you looked closely), wonderful lobby, clean Plumbing was appalling - very poor hot water pressure, window wouldn't open and radiator was too powerful for size of room, v small room
Great location, quiet room, staff friendly, historic building Horribly, almost comically small room; breakfast overpriced; almost no water pressure in shower
Rooms were clean, staff was friendly, and conviently located near the underground Rooms were small and no nightlife around at night
we arrived at the hotel to find the boiler had broken and as such, would have to move hotel. To the hotels credit, they moved us to another 4 star hotel in a better location, the marlebone hotel just off bond street. So all was well after a shaky start. The grand royal did look a lovely hotel from the lobby, just a pity we didn't get to see the room.
It is not noisy, very quiet No every things good .
Location was great! My room was very small over looking the AC units on the roof but I was on the 1st floor. Bathroom was also very small. I wouldn't choose to stay more then one night unless they have bigger rooms
The location and staff on check in were great Furnshings in our room were a bit dated.
Location is great, close to tube station and to many restaurants. Hotel is clean, staff is very nice, restaurant inside hotel is great. Room a bit small, phonic insulation is not that great, Wi-Fi did not have coverage in the room, disconnecting frequently.
This hotel does not have a fitness center and does not have access to one, so be prepared to run through Hyde Park.
The staff was very friendly. I arrived around 11:30 and my room was ready. The room was small by American standards, but expected size for London. It was well appointed with nice linens and a lovely bathroom. The window faced an interior roof space, and not Hyde Park, but this is pretty minor in the scheme of things.
the staff were really helpful and friendly i found the room a little hot and didn't want to listen to air con all night (but this was just a small thing
The location was perfect for me. Two tube stops very close accessing the Circle, District, and Central lines. Ten minutes walk to Kensington Palace; both Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens are across the road. There are many ethnic restaurants within 5 minutes walk. Nice Shopping Center 10 minutes walk. Very good ice cream shop next door! Nothing
The location was great (next to the tube and on the other side of the street Kensington Park). Breakfast was also very good! Perfect place to stay for a city trip! Bathroom little old, everything works but it is a little bit old
Staff is helpful. Very close to tube. couple of pubs not far. Hyde Park across the street. !!! During a breakfast thieves stole a bag from a coupple in the !!! restaurant. Victims were foreigners. Lost all their money and !!! passports. Got a lot of troubles instead of having fun.
Hotel was a ideal location for London with underground next door
proximity to tube station and hye park
very good staff and location handy double room supplied to small and no storage no climate contol as in cool air if required
Easily accessible from London Heathrow to Paddington (10 minute walk) and very good location for tubes into city centre or access to Kensington and Hyde parks. This is the third time I have stayed at this hotel. Bathroom slightly on the small side, and shower curtain leaked, but on the scale of things nothing major.
The room was clean and not too small. Courteous staff even during a rush at check-in time. Location is good as it is close to a couple Underground lines and a 15 minute walk to Padington Station (where the Heathrow Express train ends). No Air Conditioning. Room was on the 3rd floor and the heat was almost stifling. Surprising given outside the temps were only in the mid 70's (F). They provided a fan, which made it bearable. They also limited the amount the window opened, making it very hard to get in fresh air. I would stay there again, but only when it is very cool out.
Looks nice, very good value for money, staff is very friendly Rooms should be refurbished, double bed shouldn't be made from two single beds
The non smoking restriction
breakfast was not so good
during our stay, we could actually hear the hotel guest in the next room snoring in the night as the walls are too thin. it was also quite noisy at night as our rooms were facing the street
City centre, close to London's main attractions. Nothing ... except the "key" always failed! Not a big problem though.
The location of the Hotel No Clear Policy for the extension of the stay for few hours ( 1 or 2 hours ) , the evening shift told me yes its possible they might charge 20 pounds , but the morning shift refused and ask for one day full payment :( and one more thing i didnt like in the hotel , they refuse to store the luggage for 2 hours :(
Nice tub, and was very accessible to the tube, nice bed and very comfortable stay. Some of the wires behind the bed were still jutting out and should have been covered. The bathtub needed some repair work.
The location of the hotel The staff were extremely unhelpful and unprofessional. I was very disappointed. We also had no hot water so could not have a shower which was absolutely horrible and for this there was no apology when I mentioned it. Our luggage was not held at the hotel, meaning we had to make a very long and tiring journey on the tube from Oxford Circus and back to place our luggage at St Pancras which cost us more money and wasted hours of the few hours that we had. We booked a room with a double bed and it was two single beds pushed together which was uncomfortable! I am 20 years of age and have stayed in many hotels around the world and CP was the worst experience.
early check-out time!
The room has a really nice, modern design. Great location. Really good value for money for a triple room in this area in London. We will defenitely come back here again. They are renovating the breakfast room,so now they have a tiny little room for the breakfast, which is really crowdy at the weekend.
Cleanliness, the location - silent and central. The room is stylish and modern. The toilet - difficult to flush and the bathroom is too small, however, clean and beautiful.
the bedroom and bathroom were amazing! could have been offered real milk for bedroom for tea tray
Good location. the staff is not particularly friendly or helpful; the bed in my room was very uncomfortable; the hotel is currently being renovated and there is ongoing construction work; the telephones did not work in any of the rooms; no internet access.
The rooms were charming and the space well-organised. The decor was modern and attractive. Breakfast was good and stocks of food replenished frequently.
The staff on reception, particularly the lady when I arrived, were extremely helpful and welcoming. The room I was given was excellent. I wasn't huge, but it had a great cosy feel to it and the decor gave it a slightly luxurious feel, which was pleasantly unexpected. I was also pleasantly surprised how close the hotel was to Paddington Staton for the Heathrow Express (an easy 15-20 minute walk). All in all it was a great place to stay and I would definitely use it again. The cleanliness of the bathroom was acceptable, but could have done with a deeper clean. However I would still stay at this hotel again as overall it really was a great experience.
Good location close to 2 tube lines. Close to Paddington. Great staff. Nice rooms although small. The designer did a nice job of using a small space. Definitely recently updated. Nice breakfast selection
The room was very elegant and the ensuite was immaculate. We were upgraded on arrival to a four poster room - everything was very clean and nicely presented. There wasnt much left in the way of breakfast when we went down but it was nice enough. The room we were given was right next to the reception, so anytime anyone came or went we could hear it all, which wasn't good at 3.30am! Didn't get any sleep at all that night. Asked the receptionist if we could be moved to another room becasue of those reasons and he said that it would be quiet from then on. Was very annoyed by this. And lift was very slow!
Very trendy hotel, very helpful staff, great shower. Convenient to Paddington Station for transfer to Heathrow, Room was slightly smallish and hence a wee bit claustrophobic. As a solo traveler it was no problem but might be if there were two of us.
the shower was red hot couldn't turn it down bathroom cold. bulbs had blown in room asked for them to be replaced still waiting !!!
The staff were excellent very helpful and even if they couldnt help with our enquiry they found out for us. There was nothing
the hotel was perfect for us the reception staff where very freindly and helpfull a lovely hotel to stay can,t wait to go back .
Very close location to the metro station, clean and refurbished rooms Breakfast would have been better but the price was ok (6 pound per person)
The Staff were very helpful.
Nothing. No English breakfast in England. Bread and coffee only and start from 8.00am.
always open... good cleaning of rooms not very good breakfast...
Location, location, location staff, no room cleaning, no coffee/tea set, not hygiene set
That it was a great location, clean, friendly. i like everything.
Simple booking My room had very noisy air-condiitoning fans outside that ran all night and prevented me getting a good night's sleep.
Cosy and very nice hotel
The staff was nice and very helpfull, and the toilets were faily clean. The location was good. The room was very small. It was also cold in the nights. The breakfast was very unsatisfaying. The bed was uncomfortable, you could feel the springs, when you lied down. The pillow was hard as rock. The wind passed right through the room, and there were doors slamming often, right in front of our room (fire door without a pump)
The rooms were clean The rooms where very small! Had to climb over husband to use restroom. Also felt that it was very expensive, no breakfast included, no bar/lounge. Had to make 1 collect call and the hotel charged us $45.00 for it.
The hotel was clean and the staff were polite
facility is goood
The room was sparkling. I had the best nights' sleep I have ever had in a hotel - the temperature could be controlled from the room, and the woindow left open if desired as the room looked out onto a very quiet square. It was lovely to have a view of greenery in central London. The staff were very polite, greeting us at the door at all hours of the night, which made us feel safe and looked after. No
- location - the fact that we had to pay at check in...don't they trust their guests ?
Rooms were small but adequate and bed was very comfortable. Great location in Notting Hill. Plus a fantastic pub located conveniently across the street. Shower is very small, and my sink kept getting clogged. Housekeeping and the hotel were very responsive.
rooms were really nice together with in-room facilities. Very quiet and comfortable. No bar or restaurant was surprising considering the cost. Communal areas were spartan and not very welcoming. TV reception was terrible which wasn't too big an issue as it meant I didn't have to endure the X factor!!!!
the design was excellent some of the staff couldn't answer to any of my questions about the hotel, my room was next to the elevator and I could hear if someone used it, the towels I've got wasn't washed (it was brand new, but not washed)
The location was great. Near the Bayswater Tube and walking distance to the Portabella market. The room was decorated beautifully and on the first floor overlooking the park. Very quiet. The staff was very accomidating and friendly. The bed was not the most comfortable and the cost of breakfast was high. We went elsewhere.
Nice little hotel in a great, quiet location. There is NO Fitness Centre and I was told I had to pay for Breakfast when it was included. It costs 15 GBP (If you pre-bopok and pay in cash) for breakfast and it was not worth the price. Very small dinning room.
good location - close to tube stations/shops, friendly staff the world's smallest room (could not move!), pictures on website not at all like actual hotel, very basic decor (far from "luxurious, tasteful and elegant" as advertised) basic breakfast, no complimentary book in room as advertised, only 1 teabag on hospitality tray in room, constant background noise of generator outside
We had a room where the air conditioning was exiting and was noisy all night and also very hot! Poor service, not English speaking staff, poor value for the money!
The location was okay and the hotel was clean. The staff was particularly unhelpful and not attentive. No one would look at us, let alone say hello when we entered the lobby. Our room was a "family room" with four beds crammed into a room meant for two. If you can't accommodate four people then don't say you can. We were also in the basement next to the breakfast area. Not only was the set-up crew noisy at 6AM, our smoke alarm went off at 7AM because of toast in the toaster.
The hotel was situated in a nice quiet spot with pleasant, clean rooms and friendly staff. Breakfasts were ok, but often ran out of plates, or cutlery, or hot water and had to wait for resupply. Not really well organised in that respect.
The staff were friendly and efficient but the best feature was the location - close to Kensington Gardens and Bayswater tube. The room was beautifully clean The use of blankets seems to be a bit of a time warp especially in London.
Stayed here with my 16-year-old son for three nights; nice area; desk staff was courteous; we were able to check in a couple hours early; lots of food markets and restaurants nearby; this is a fine/functional hotel-- nothing tremendous but nothing horrible; a good value for $100 per night this close to Hyde Park There was some street noise as groups of people staying in the surrounding hotels were walking up and down the street at night; rooms are small, but what I expected for a four-star hotel in London
Every thing was o.k No
The size of the room and bathroom (for London standard) Excellent location Breakfast was very basic
the receptionnist was very nice the size of the room. even though we were staying 4 nights i think they gave us one of the if not the smallest room in the hotel
Very nice hotel and excellent hotel staff!!! Thank you for a pleasent stay!
The location Everything was ok actually
very convinient location: nearing 2 subway stations, Tesco and various chinese & italian restaurants. nearing Hyde Park where is the best place for walking and jogging. average breakfast. bad sound-proof. too narrow single room, uncomfortable bed.
The staff Tube noise was fairly significant. Also, the bathroom was extremely small in the single room.
Very close to many shops, staff kind. The web wireless doesn`t work in rooms in the basement.
Staff was really helpful and nice. Tasty candies at the reception :) Very small bathroom and only hot water in the shower, but OK for the price.
Some great friendly staffs and the location was fabulous. I will Definately stay there in the future. The room I booked online was not what they gave me on my arrival. The size of the room was so small and didn't reflect the double room I had payed for.
Pleasent and helful staff. The hotel is clean and comfortable
Breakfast was good. Staff were helpful and efficient in a pleasant way.The hotel is in an excellent position for safe walking access to everywhere or finding transport when necessary. The bed was comfortable and the roomwas a perfect temperature with an opening window! It was very good value for money.
stuff was really nice, and building is very beautifull - all this stairs and location is comfortable enough - hyde park in 2 minutes walk, 2 tube stations next line clearness of the room. when we arrived we found some litter in the wardrobe and during our stay. and sound isolation - we could here everybody doing everything, especcially in the corridor
Location. Close to the public transportation. My room was on the ground floor. You can hear the underground, loud and clear. It's really unaceeptable. Perhaps rooms in the first floor or above would be better.
It's a very nice and comfortable hotel. It's near the underground and near Hyde Park and near to some nice restaurants and shops...The staff was very helpfull and friendly... It's a very nice place, though the room was not very clean and there was a lot of noice...people started painting very early in the morning and there was a lot of noice...
Reliability, no queues for breakfast, adequate breakfast to start off a new day, staff all knowing what to do and having practical answers to all querries, good feeling when returning from a long london day, all facilities working effectively even if without frills. Our best hotel experience in 25 years of annual visits to the capital Not much really, poor tv channel choice perhaps and need to organise space well as the room is comfortable for only one large piece of luggage, but nothing compared with some rooms in other hotels we experienced in the past.
It is very central, the stuff are very nice and helpful. The services are good Rooms are a bit small and a bit noisy
Staff @ reception were attentive - our room was extremely hot and heating was centrally controlled so we couldn't operate it from the room. Receptionist turned off heating and our 2nd night was much more comfortable. Room too hot but rectified immediately we asked for heating to be turned off - central control only.
I asked for a quiet room and got one. Zero noise, except for that of doors closing in the corridor, which is unavoidable. This is the quietest hotel I have found in London, after many tries, and I will definitely return. Also, the reception staff are all exceptionally pleasant and obliging.
Room was comfortable, warm and quiet. The location is really good with being only minutes away from both Bayswater and Queensway Tube (just a few shops apart from each other).
clean room very small bedroom and a little shabby tho clean
Great value for money
The room was comfortable and clean. The walls were well sound-proofed and we had a quiet night. The breakfast was adequate.
The locationi was great and the room was larger than I expected. The bathroom was modern and very functional. Some of the staff left something to be desired in the way of customer service.
Clean room, bath tub and large beds. If price is lower, it is much better.
Cozy and friendliness of the staff. Would be nice if the cover of the furnitures and carpets got an upgrade.
the hotel staff and attitude
Good all round service offering and attention to detail
Single rooms were decent size and very clean, good location, good tvs and wifi signal, courteous staff
Exceptional location in Notting Hill and courtesy of the staff. The hotel needs a renovation.
bath with hydro massage - the bathroom in general night receptionist was particularly unhelpful and rude
The staff were very helpful. I liked the easy 24-hour access. The room was comfortable, if rather small, and its facilities were as expected. The breakfast was good and offered the option of a cooked breakfast. The price was rather high, but it is in London and quite central, so perhaps that was not a surprise.
just 2 mins walk from Notting Hill tube station. Light and clean room, well equipped.
the hotel have good place in londno too closde to undergraund and hayd park . that hotael is good for 2 night only
I was surprised given the excellent reviews received by the hotel to find a slightly ran down establishmentin need of some serious updating. Perhaps my views were coloured by my bad exerience with my stay but perhaps not. The first room I was given was quite adequate, if small. I was then moved to a different room because of a fault with the lighting (easily fixable it turned out). The "new" room had to be the worst one in the hotel! Low lighting, no work surface, desk or table, very hot, and no shower, just a hand held spray. I left the hotel a day early. On the positive side the breakfast was wxcellent.
Fantastic value for money, room was decent, fantastic location, would definitely recommend to anyone on a budget.
Staffs are very friendly, reasonable price, very close to tube, breakfast is good. Lifts are quite old and small.
It was close to Paddington and economical Beds not comfortable, rooms to hot and a bit run down, service a bit distant.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night but for £1 we could leave our bag so we could shop the next day. They were very happy for us to sit in reception until it was time to get our train home as well.
The location was OK, and that is the only good thing about this hotel. Queens Park Hotel is simply the worst Hotel that I have been to. When I checked in, they assigned me a room between 2 floors, where I could barely fit my carry on bag and a large bag. After a complaint, they gave me a somewhat larger room. However, everything in the room was old, it was stinky, and uncomfortable. Furthermore, it did not have A/C, which was needed. When I wanted to purchase the wifi service, they told me that it was not working. I would never recommend Queens Park Hotel to anybody.
position bed and breakfast
Location near the park Breakfast self service area was not clean, public areas worn and tired. Rooms very small. bathroom not big enough to get chnaged in
The price and location were the best part of the 3 night experience. The inclusive buffet breakfast had all the bases covered. The room was overall well kept by the housekeeping staff. The room was tiny, and the window opened to the view of bricks and concrete. I didn't mind as I wasn't expecting anything else for the price. However, I did feel a lack of breathable air at night due to the room size. I'm average build and found it too small. Also, the walls need a lick of paint...
Close to underground stations, restaurants and shops. Room was in basement, very stuffy. Airconditioning was one speed, either your'e too cold or too hot. No instructions for lockable safe for valubles. There wasn't a phone directory next to the phone so you didn't know what number to call for anything. Noisy people in other rooms. Housekeeping forgot to provide clean towels one day after taking the dirty ones. Room key had to be reactivated everyday in order for it to work.
The value for money and helpfulness of the staff along with the very convenient location for the Royal Albert Hall. Nothing
I liked the fact breakfast was included. Please change breakfast items, same thing daily. Ugh. No air conditioning in our room. Paid for wifi and had to use it in the lobby. Would not go back! Outdated, things falling apart.
Dirty hotel. No air conditionned in our room. Only a little broken window. Our bedroom were in the basement, not very confortable.
