The location of the hotel is quite good, with good access to public transport and Knightsbridge shopping areas. The room I got was a handicapped room with bigger than usual bathroom (I assume). However, the open shower didnt drain and the whole bathroom was flooded within 30 seconds of turning on the shower. The toilet flushed for 3 hours with repairmen coming in at 5 in the morning to fix it. No compensation was offered, which for a 5 star hotel is not adequate.
Exceptional service and quality of the hotel. Very good location. Rates are quite high but it was 50% off through booking.com.
Location, Quit area , close proximity to every thing No facilities , and you need to go for the Carlton tower for the Gym and busniess center
location, rooms discretionary service charge added to bill, a guest has to ask for it to be removed rather than being asked before its included,
staff and location in particular slow service in bar / restaurant area
i liked the location, and its a samller hotel quick to get in and out i got a better rate on sunday night ..but all hotels have better sunday rates...i certainly wouldn't pay 4 or 5 hundred GBP to stay there....it simply is not worth it This is not a true 5 star hotel..more like a 4 it lacks the little extra's, i hate paying 20GBP for internet..that's a big turn off for me and probably why i won't stay again...small room but the rate reflected it...and i was alone but a little small for 2 people
Size of hotel and very convenientto tube etc.
great location, rooms are nicely designed and modern, staff is helpful limited breakfast, staff misinformed us about the services invcluded in our fee
location and a balcony in town the rates were misleading as they didn't reflect the true cost
Great staff , nice room after upgrade, although strange that the windows couldnt be openend... No 5 star, more 3+, all the facilities the state to have are in there yes 5 star sister hotel 1 block further down the street the Jumeirah carlton... hotel.. that might be 5 star, but there littke sister is not.. good room, but no facilities, and only after an upgrade ( excecutive) we had a real suite ( forget the junior...). but all in all a good hotel. nothing fancy though ( in the star and facilitie sector...)
The hotel's very central and a walking distance from many attractions - even in the cold winter weather. Museums, Harrods, high-end shopping and parks are all very near. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, available 24/7. We had an early flight back so checked out of the room and left early (6am) - we were greeted upon departure with take-away coffee and tea, along with fruits and pastries. Literally left good taste in our mouths as we left the hotel. We'll surely return to the Thompson on our next visit to London! The room as several articles which seem complimentary (such as USB cable, etc.) which upon checkout apparently cost quite a lot (we were charged 10 GBP for the cable). Continental breakfast is not diverse - just a few pork cold-cuts, a couple of cheeses, some juice, coffee, pastries etc. We asked for a few slices of tomato and cucumber and were charged 4 GBP for them.
liked everything nothing
staff location facilities room and bathroom too small 2 coffee and a water gbp16
Service minded hotel staff , devotedness of the concierge staff helping and organizing theater, journeys etc
nice rooms, clean pool, staff is excellent
there were very obviously prostitutes hanging around inside the hotel at night and this was not discreet at all
The staff were very kind and helpful. The rooms were really nicely fitted out with unexpected amenities like Bose iPod speakers.Great position for most of Londons attractions. Nice touches like coffee and croissants available in reception for early check out guests. Room service and housekeeping were particularly quick with their assistance and the prter conciege people seemd to genuinely want to help. Overall a really nice place to stay. The restaurant facilities are very poor indeed. The casual restaurant is right in the reception and was blighted by a freezing cold blast of wind every time the main door opened ( which was many times ). It also looked more like a reception than a place to eat - a place to drink coffee or wait for someone rather than a place to eat, even casually. The menu offered high quality food but the range was very limited, especially for vegetarians. In fact vegetarians in general are very poorly served by this hotel.
spacious room and amenities in room slow service in the Chinoiserie and staff not paying attention to room, must wait to catch their attention
location only room was smoky on non smoking flooor
Our stay at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower was truely amazing, the service is excellent, we were upgraded on arrival due to a request I had made, as it was my husband's birthday. The atmosphere is great the staff cannot do enough for you. The treatments were brilliant. Can't wait for our next trip.
friendly faces during peak season the hotel should have more than one choice to experience the after noon treat
Excellent breakfast in our room. Air con in the bar - we were freezing at 8pm on Sunday.
Stayed only for one day instead of three. The room was too small and the hotel overvalued.
Its location and coziness. Small rooms
The location is perfect and discreet. The price is reasonable with VAT and breakfast included, its difficult to find this standard in a good location in London. The hotel rooms are quaint and clean. It feels like coming home to a quiet space. Breakfast could be more varied especially if your stay is a long one. The staff are friendly but could be a bit more dynamic. Carpets need to be cleaned.
Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, great design and ambience.
The boiler was not working for two days in a row. Its summer time, meaning that it is bearable if you fancy a cold shower !!!!
Friendly staff. a good location for exploring Central London. Decor was very tired and worn. Only one lift (small). Breakfast was ok but tables were not always fully supplied (condiments missing etc.), and rather slow and overpriced for what it was. No tea making facilities in the room.
location a bit dark and a small room
Location is amazing. Off the bustling path. Coffee could have been better!
Quiet and quite small Lousy Breakfast buffet
Very nicely decorated Problems with WiFi connection and inexperienced staff
location excellent however very dark and strange hotel sound proofing between rooms non existent too dark for my liking
I was a bit sceptical because I thought the price was a bit low for a five star hotel but the room was fantastic and the staff were very friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a short break in London. There was a stain on the carpet - This was negligible though as everything else about the room was amazing.
Very close to Victoria station and good restaurants. Service staff was very helpful and friendly. Nice bathroom and very modern rooms. Quiet street. AC not too strong, which is typical in Europe.
Very courteous and helpful staff - thank you Fabien. This high quality hotel is very well furnished with high quality fixtures and fittings. I would it to anyone.
Great location with easy access to Victoria station, Kings road & Sloan Square. Fair sized rooms which were cleaned daily. Had breakfast 2 out of 4 days. The meal was nice but price a bit expensive. Very helpful staff and pretty quiet given that there are only eleven rooms.
Large comfortable room with good access to all transportation Bathroom very small and hotel air conditioning still was not installed. It may finally be completed by end June
the service was impecable. nothing was too much trouble. the rooms were also beautiful. i would choose this over a similarly priced large hotel every time.
Quiet atmosphere. Water not hot enough.
We received a warm and friendly welcome which continued throughout the stay. The twin room we had was actually quite spacious unlike almost every other hotel I have stayed and was a positive improvement on having 2 beds squashed closely together with hardly any room around them.
The above says it all. Nothing.
The hotel is in a cracking area just 5 minutes from Victoria. The street is very quiet and the hotel was in a nice location. The hotel was very quiet (apart from the extract fan in the bathroom that sounded like a burst car engine at times)...Room was very comfortable, if a bit on the small side. Room was pretty small with no-where in the bathroom to put toiletries other than a little wire basket thing supplied. Also no real place to put your suitcase that then didn't interfere with any storage space for clothes. Also, surprisingly for a 5* hotel the staff never asked if we wanted any papers in the morning :(
The staff dotes on their guests. They go out of their way to do things well. They made us feel special.
The location, the competence and friendliness of the staff, and the breakfasts which, although expensive, were excellent The steep entrance stairway, the small lifts, the lack of suitcase stands, the height of the beds, the difficulty of getting into the shower and the danger of slipping on the bottom of the bath, and the cost. Whether I would recommend it depends on the type of person making the enquiry.
Attitude of staff, complimentary newspapers, ambience The room was really tiny
Stay was wonderful. As described, the room was small, but quite nice.
Very cosy, silent, good breakfast. Unfortunately, the web did not tell that the single room had only one single bed and was tremendously tiny. Do not book a single room!!!
home from home
excellent location, great hospitality, charming room, room service food was also good.
everything we asked 2 separate beds but received room with 1 king size
Location was excellent. Totally charming decor and welcome. 24/7 open. My request for "no feathers" was immediately addressed. All conveniences were provided. I do not understand the distinction between "didn't like" and "complaints". When I asked for the smoking room I had booked for, I was told perhaps there was a suite I could have that was smoking. (Not at these prices, I thought.) My room for 163 BP per night was so small as to be claustrophobia inducing. The bed was hard and very short. The price of breakfast was insane.
Everything was just perfect - absolutely no complaints and cannot wait to stay there again Nothing
Very Much Problem with the heat and thermostat in our room
the location and the the welcoming staff and service on the floor(bathrobe ,chargers, slippers etc...) the single room are small but ok but no heating in the bathroom so basically a little cold
I have to give the Sloane Square Hotel five stars for great service. Everybody at the front desk was helpful and friendly... when I phoned them from the airport to say I couldn't find my passport, they called back soon saying that they'd found it and used their trusted private-taxi service to send it out to me! Brilliantly handled. The room itself was very nice, good-sized by European standards, and the whole hotel has a lot of style. Location: ideal for anybody who shops at Hugo Boss or Tiffany or other such shops; that's not me but it's certainly a nice neighborhood. Expensive? Yes, but all London hotels are outrageous.
Very comfortable bed Time taken to be allocated a room. Room was occupied when we got to it so had to start whole process again!
The helpful staff. The poor quality of the first room we were put into. It was small, hot and noisy.
The Staff was so kind and informative. The rooms were comfortable; specially the beds!!! Next time I go to London, I would again stay there without any hesitation. -
I really liked the location and in rarticularly the fact that our room had view on Sloan Sq The fact that the roam generally and especially the bathroom was rather small
The modern degin and interiors of the room. The closeness to sloane square tube and Kings Road shopping
Perfect location, helpful staff and the food at hotel's restaurant is exquisite
efficient staff, nice room, timely service only one computer in the business center, room service breakfast could have been better
Receptionist was excellent Nothing
Good location. This quasi-boutique hotel does not have the intimacy of a boutique hotel and not the broad facilities of a big hotel. It is caught in between. My room (single) was ridiculously small and bathroom even smaller. At the price quoted I would not recommend this hotel. Prices seem to be based mostly on their location in Chelsea. Breakfast buffet was almost finished and replenished with one roll at a time. Again very meager given the price.
Proximity to Chelsea flower show
Quiet location within walking distance of 2 famous museums, Brompton and Marsden hospitals and also Kings Road. Excellent friendly and helpful staff.
Peaceful location, good continental breakfast, excellent staff. Bathroom a little "jaded", fittings lose.
Friendliness of staff. Good room service food. Air conditioning almost too effective! Nice decor and quiet, comfortable room (Superior grade room.) Room could have been cleaner - the odd stray hair in bathroom, bedroom and particularly on counterpane.
Friendly staff Room not ready on arrival. Staff did their best to make up for it.
Excellent ambiance. Bar opened 24/24 for guests. Very good cookies left each day in my room. Excellent cleaning service.
location - v good
Room was spacious and very comfortable The hotel bar being closed between 6-8:30pm when we had planned pre dinner drinks at the hotel was frustrating and seems inappropriate when we've booked the hotel room and expect usual facilities.
The hotel was clean, the staff was courteous, helpful and always willing to help. The room was clean but there were a few things that need to be attended to: Duvet was worn in several spots, the bathroom knob on the sink plug was missing. the water spigot in the shower was loose., the toilet paper holder was broken.
Good and central location!. Breakfast offer was super and .... Very nice with the complimentary tea in the afternoon. Nice ambiance and the staff were extremely friendly!
complimemtary tea insufficient hot water in bath and shower
It is the perfect Hôtel to stay in London : the good place(area), the good price and the good services.
Service and Location. Double room rather small. Awarded a room that was not specified in confirmation at time of booking. Situation rectified though.
Convenient location. Simple administration. Relaxed ambiance. Impressive bathroom Room 16. Bed springs seemed tired. Bed sloped to one side.Inadequate table and sitting space in the bedroom
The room needed new wallpaper but otherwise it was really nice. The location of the hotel is excellent and the service staff is top notch. They also offered lots of extras, like free soda, creme tea, and alcoholic beverages. There was also a business center with a computer (internet provided) and fax machine. Would definately stay there again!
Location, clean, value for money, comfort Some of the reception staff unbearable!
The "Tea Time" and the "bar" included in the price The carpets were old and looking s if they are not very clean.
Very high quality environment in an almost surreal location... As an infrequent visitor to London the journey was fairly fraught - but then you turn into a high class side street and it is almost a different world! Excellent staff - clean rooms and ideal for switching off at the end of the day - and the complimentary reception bar is unusual too. The elevator! Not big enough to swing a cat let alone carry a travel bag and be taken to your room by a porter in... Anyone with claustrophobia should request a ground floor room! A minor negative overall though...
