The room was clean, and decorated nicely. It was comfortable, AC/heater worked great. Totally worth every dollar, definately going back.
The hotel was in a convenient location. The pillows were very poor quality.
very close to the location to we were attending. Also, not hard to find Nothing to do with the staff but we had some loud partiers near us, and it was right off the freeway so you could hear traffic all the time.
Close to where I needed to stay. Many prostitutes
The room I was in was clean, comfortable and amazingly roomy. I was especially charmed with the tall ceilings. The towels were on the small size. If I were to stay again, I would bring by own larger towel.
Very clean, freindly staff. Easy freeway access
I liked how inexpensive it was compared to a 4star hotel I didn't like how there wasn't a double lock and a piece of chewed gum in our bed. I was too tired to even discuss this with the front desk. I just wanted out of there the next morning
The room was very big and looked nice. Dippy tub fixture. Not good when the state has water issues.
Walking distance to universal and reasonable droving distance to many LA locations. Cost of parking.
Staff and less than 10 minutes walking distance to Universal studio Wait for elevator and parking was pricey
Close to Universal Studios The outside hallway carpet was greasy and muddy. Even after having them clean it, we continued to bring grease and grime and dirt into our hotel room. Our entry walkway was pretty disgusting because of it.
Staff was great, location to other attractions The parking garage was pricey considering I paid 200.00 a night should get a discount when staying. The elevators were all not in service. Breakfast was too expensive for a weeks stay. I couldn't find a salon inside for service.
Best place to stay when going to Universal Studios, and I go a lot. There's a free shuttle that takes you to the entrance of City Walk or you can walk there in less than 10 minutes via the pedestrian bridge.
The pool, corner room & breakfast. The parking situation upon arrival.
The staff, the comfy beds, location Funny smells, noisy electronics/shower, parking price. The place is good but could use an update
The room was spacious...good pillows. Good gym, nice pool. Two elevators were out (and have been for 3 years!), making trips up and down sometimes very lengthy. You can call the operator each time you go to the elevator asking to be picked up, but how ridiculous for a hotel of this caliber. Restaurant food was boring. All three places to eat at the hotel had the same menu, with tiny differences. The first meal or two it is fine, you can find alternate foods to eat, but after a few days, a change is necessary. It cost $18 for a so-called, all you can eat 'continental breakfast'...yogurt, fruit, cereal, muffins and coffee! This Hilton is near the Universal City Walk, all franchise restaurants so no good food nearby for real foodies...if you like buffets with all you can eat, this is your place.
Everything was perfect
A jug of milk, ordered for my three young children was 22 dollars.
Due to an oversight from booking.com we ended up without a place to stay for the evening, we never tried kayak before and in less than a minute we secured a room, cheaper than the original booking. The hotel was clean room was spacious they had a shuttle in a three mile radius. Close to shops malls etc. Hated the lumpy pillows , gel pillows work so much better. Our heads weigh a lot so down pillows just get smashed down. Shower head was way too high and was low flow,
Weekend rates were excellent and it is centrally located within a mile of dozens of restaurants, a movie theatre, malls, etc.. 15 minutes from the beach and 30 minutes from Hollywood. Great location if you are visiting someone in the West San Fernando Valley The lobby was under constructions so it was a little bit hectic with the limited operating space.
Big room. Walking distance to shopping (Westfield Topanga). Noisy. The room is not well insulated from noise in the hall way and adjacent rooms. The mattress was too soft. The bed frame made noise and had to be fixed. No safe in the room for valuables. Internet costs extra. $17 for parking.
Why is there no pool at this facility?
Staff was very nice. No Fridge in room. Windows didn't open.
very good, clean room wake up call system not reliable
Hotel is maintained nicely, staff is supportive and friendly. Rooms are showing their age. No in room safe, no in-room technology plate, wireless access only,
Friendly and helpful staff, room was very clean and comfortable they have removed the bath tubs, which was a bummer because I was really looking forward to a hot soak at the end of my day. Also, the overhead bathroom light automatically shuts off after a few minutes, so the room went mostly dark during my shower.
Bedding was terrible, paper thin
Price was, great for a safe and clean room. Had to pay $17 for parking when there are plenty of parking in near by malls. Room was no frills but clean and comfortable
Room was very clean and staff was very polite.
The pool area at night was beautiful The only thing I would mention is that the additional parking fee was not clear when I booked, I ve found out of this at the hotel
We stayed there before going to vegas for our honeymoon... Awesome place, staff is extremely friendly, totally recommended
The Hotel was clean and staff was super friendly but the parking wasn't free, $21 dollare a day. Yikes! No free parking.
We liked pretty much everything. There's a pool, fitness center, & gift shop. There's also a fully functioning restaurant (The Daily Grill) that is open early & closes late. Great place to have people in the area meet us for food or drinks. Very comfortable rooms with everything you need included. It was nice to have a parking lot in the hotel, but if you opted not to go with Valet, it was a little bit of a walk to get to the lobby with suitcases & such. Adding to that, the parking lot is shared with airport travelers, so there were times at night where we were concerned we wouldn't find any spaces, even though we were hotel guests. But, it still worked out, there were a couple of hidden spots. My biggest complaint is that the air-conditioning unit in our room was very loud & would wake us up throughout the night whenever it clicked on. On a minor note, the business area in the room with the extra outlets had blown a fuse & no power was coming out of it. We let the front desk know. Over-all, these are small complaints (other than the AC).
Great staff Double queen beds seemed a little small and mattresses were not very comfortable.
Great value for the price. Only thing that I can point out was check in. We had to wait for a room to get cleaned even though we were checking in 2 hrs past regular check in. Also no hot tub. :( staff was top notch. I have never had towels delivered so fast. I swear they were to us before I hung up, haha
I loved the bed but that's about it. When I first checked in I was carrying my baby and luggage and had my son follow. Got all the way to my room and my key didn't work so i had to drag it all back down and carry it all back up a second time. The shower clogged up. The tv was in & out and some channels didn't have any volume?! No fridge, no microwave, no table for us to eat on.... (There was a desk my son ate on but me & my husband had to eat standing up or on the bed) Parking is $21 a night for guest. You have to pay for wifi & breakfast.
Steak salad from room service was exceptional! Employees were friendly and helpful. Toilet stopped up. Hallways smelled musty. Bedspread smelled like someone's perfume - obviously was not washed before I arrived. Woodwork was full of nicks and scratches. Very dissapointing for a Marriott.
I did like that the front desk accommodated us despite the miscommunication about check in. They gave us free overnight parking as well. I did not like that guest parking was so expensive. Even just for a few hours would be pricey just for a quick visit.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. No breakfast for guests unless you pay at the restaurant or order room service.
Location was great. Staff was friendly. Property was gorgeous. Super comfortable. Relaxing. Very enjoyable.
- Very courteous staff - Comfy rooms and facilities - All my requests were taken care of within 10 minutes
Nice pool. Good service. Good Location.
room and gym all was very good
Pool side golf near by Location was great bar was friendly
Everything was nice. Valet was way to expensive, especially over night and your staying at the hotel.
The bell hop was so nice when helping me with my luggage. The rooms were very comfortable. As mentioned above the front desk's phone skills and the ice machine on my floor was broken.
This hotel was clean, comfortable and the staff was friendly. It was in a great location with nearby shopping and dining. It is also very close to Magic Mountain which was very convenient. nothing
Staff helpfulness - restaurant, bar, front desk, other staff encountered in hallway No rooms ready at check in time, limited menu, new room keys needed for late checkout, no double queen rooms
Arrived with family and Young Children. At midnight had a fire alarm that told us to exit the building via Staircase. We did. carrying 2 children and 20 flights of stairs later. We were told, It was the steam from the kitchen that caused it, go back to the room. 1 am, this gets repeated again. We get told someone was smoking, go back to the room. This happens again. We just go to the staircase with no energy to walk down 20 flights of stairs. We call 45 min. later to find out (false alarm). So next morning - the staff gets approached and we get told oh there was a party on the 21st floor that was using a fog machine. I asked why not have a PA system in the stairs so you can notify the people to not panic or there's a fire on the 2nd floor or anything. They said oh I know.. WTF.. I know. I just left with family never to return to that one again.
Location, location and location - that's the only thing positive about this hotel. Otherwise, it is no better than a poor hotel with bad everything - Rooms are aged (badly need remodeling) - Rooms are not kept up and clean (there was mildew buildup around the sink and it was blocked for us) - Service is poor (45 min to get shower cap)
Clean beds. Parking is expensive ~$55 for 2 days. And if you decide to leave the hotel for few hours to cruise around town, you will pay even more for hotel parking. Nothing is free, not even the coffee in the room. $30 breakfast (basic) per person is ridiculous!
I loved the location; close to Universal but also a short drive from Hollywood and Warner Brothers. Walking distance to small restaurants and gas stations. The bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in! And the view from the 20th floor was incredible. The room needs some updating. Dings and marks were visible on the walls and the bathroom showed definite signs of wear.
Was charged a deposit at the hotel, had to pay to park. Also room was soooo cold had to sit in coat and hat, called front desk we were offered a space heater but it was never brought to the room. Called the front desk and was told the heat had been cut back on so heater in room should work now.. It didn't
Team members were friendly, shuttle to Universal Studio mall plus in walking distance if you choose and food was good. We were there for our grandsons birthday First I could have had better room rate then what we got Sheraton is a Starwood management and we are owners of a Hotel in San Diego that is also managed by Starwood.. So I had told the manager checking us in that and he still didn't do anything about a lesser rate. Second under remodeling no ATM machine black out curtain didn't close properly use hair clippies to keep outside lighting out at night..
Upgraded to larger family room with Sheik theme when they saw we had kids. Kids liked it. Location great. Porbably slightly older than the Hilton next door.
They charge extra just to use wifi, which is typically a standard accommodation everywhere. The place is run down.
Location was perfect for me. Rooms were nice and clean. Bed, comfortable. There is construction going at the corner of Lankershim and Universal Hollywood Dr. I stayed for two nights where the construction completed at 11PM the first night. Unfortunately construction continued ALL NIGHT the second night which was a Friday night. I was woken up several times by the work that was going on!
I did like that my room was ready on time and that it had a view. When I arrived there was a leak in the restroom that they did not fix... I has the same issue with the water leaking from the toilet when I woke up the next morning. Also the morning I checked out the TV did not work and I had to call room service to fix it and reprogram it. The price was not up to par with the type of room I was given.
The peace and quite and very relaxing and clean Leaving
Very nice room with good comfort Expensive breakfast! Including tax and normal tip we paid almost 70 dollars for a three persons continental breakfast (toast, muffin and fruit).
Pillows, beds, comfort of whole room. Excellent staff. Shuttle was lincoln town car. Across from 24hr grocery store. No view just another room 4 feet away. No pool. Spa water was warm but not hot. Did I mention, no pool!
Just how nice the staff was and the welcome feeling each time you entered the doors An $93 dollars charge a day later after paying the bill that was not given a reason for what it was for.
this hotel had the most comfortable bed i have slept in away from home. the stylish simple decor is relaxing and the small details are appreciated. the central location is one of the primary reasons i selected this hotel. very pleased with my experience at this hotel.
Everything was great! Would recommend to others
The rooms were clean and comfortable The staff were attentive and courtious The smoke alarm tests Lack of king bed availaîlity
Very clean Quite far from main la attraction. Neighborhood is a no man's land at night.
This is a very efficient, comfortable and stylish hotel. The staff is friendly and professional. Clearly, they hire customer oriented staff and pay great attention to detail. I'll definately return.
The guy at the front counter was very helpful room was clean but on the street didn't like that didn't seem like a four-star but did have a minibar valet guy stunk up my car not going back to this hotel because a dirty animal
The staff was very nice and helpful. Had no problems checking in and out. The room was mostly clean and comfortable. From what I saw, the hotel overall was well kept, clean and comfortable. Overall very happy with my stay. Don't get me wrong, I think the cleaning crew did a great job and I know their job is tough, but I would just like to point out a couple of things that could be better: hair on the bathroom floor and coffee pot was not clean.
Very pleased with this Comfort Suite. This one changed my mind after having a poor experience with one in San Diego. I will be back checking in now that not Comfort Inns are alike. Very good value, and easy to get to.
3 mile drive to Magic Mountain thru town streets. Nothing
Great hot breakfast! Bacon, eggs, waffles, breads fruits cereals. Comfortable and spacious suites. Quiet. Clean room. Minor fixes needed in bathroom. Toilet ran and small spots of mold above shower as well as small area of wallpaper above shower needing gluing.
i loved the cleanliness and attributes, like microwaves and fridgerators in rooms. i love the sitting area in the room as well. it's spacious, clean, updated and a very pleasant place to stay. Breakfast was great too, alot of great choices of foods. i loved just about everything! my only complaint is i wish the hotel had a lounge to have cocktails.
Most everything. The staff was great! The facilities clean and comfortable. Enough stations on the TV. Only complaint was the fitness facility could have been in a little better shape other wise no real complaints.
The staff was great, breakfast was great!
The room was nice, the bed was comfy and the staff was very professional, friendly and helpful. The breakfast food, while complimentary, was also not very palatable.
The good things...Entire hotel was clean and new looking. Check-in was quick. Beds are really comfortable & clean. Nice touch have the remote control in sleeve showing it was sanatized :) Business center was very useful for us! The downfall was someone got arrested in the room right next to us the next morning police everywhere, So that was a site for sore eyes. And a bit scary for us considering I was traveling with my daughter and mother :(
Clean Friendly staff Short drive to universal Spend more but avoid this location Neighborhood is shady Scary to walk on streets at night Liquor stores everywhere Not for families No good restaurants or shops around
The area in Burbank is never the best. It was nice to find this hotel which was very nice and made staying near Burbank Airport not only tolerable but very nice
Breakfast was okay, nothing special, but it was nice they had free breakfast at all. Location wasn't the greatest but I didn't feel unsafe. No pool.
Proximity to Hollywood Breakfast was marginal. Location was a bit dodgy
Staff was cool, place was fairly clean, great breakfast The area was horrible ,no pool. Funky smell.would rather pay an extra 50 bucks a night and stay at an embassy suite
The friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness and the updated everything. We always stay here when we come to California. WiFi included and free parking. The staff is awesome and they treat you with respect and not just like another unknown person.
Very nice hotel for the price. We were only 15min from Universal. Free parking Parking area was small luckily we didn't have a problem but if they were all booked I could see it being an issue
Nothing Upon our arrival and check in, we were assigned a room on the fifth floor. Having brought a number of items for family members, we needed to unload our vehicle as the Motel is located in a high crime area; full of abandoned buildings which previously housed Night Clubs, Pubs, Movie Theaters, Restaurants, and Strip Malls. I went in search of a luggage cart to speed and easy the task. Not finding any in the area of the elevator, I returned to the lobby and asked the front desk attendant where they stored them. I was informed they could be anywhere in the Hotel. After searching seven floors, I finally found one outside in the parking area. It was the one, and only one for the entire Hotel. Next problem we encountered was when I flushed the stool in the bathroom and water sprayed out from between where the tank sets on the bowl. I notified the front desk of the problem, and following repeated notifications to the front desk of the leak, it was repaired on the fourth day of our stay. During our stay, the fire alarm went off three times resulting in our evacuating the Hotel down five flights. The Hotel was undergoing major repairs due to the roof leaking and major water damage to dry wall in many areas of the Hotel. There Elevators move at the speed of stillness. They are hydraulic and jerk and bump you around as the hydraulic cylinders expand or collapse. The elevator by the lobby broke on the weekend, and all seven floors were reduced to one Elevator serving the entire population. The quality of the Continental Breakfast was very poor and second rate. We went out for breakfast after the first morning. The Hotel’s lack of concern for the well being and safety of their guests is a big issue. All you heard was guests talking about how bad things were with the Hotel and staff.
Pros: -location -very clean -up-to-date -helpful and friendly staff -nice rooms -comfortable beds -delicious breakfast -Six Flags shuttle -very well priced -cozy and comfortable outdoor patio -nice pool Cons: -none. Seriously, this place was perfect for our needs
The facility was good and in OK location for major attractions. I booked a double several days in advance. When we arrived I was told they didn't have a double and had to take a king room with rollaway bed. I was given $25 off and two drinks. It was too late on Friday to find another hotel in the area. The rollaway was not very comfortable.
With the rise in parking cost at six flags choosing Hilton over comfort inn (where breakfast is included) for $10 more was a no brainer. The free shuttle service was just the icing on the cake to newly upgraded accommodations, cleanliness and pleasant staff. The second level has gorgeously high ceilings and not really a big point but I like the staircases being so open and not making you like you're about to be a victim in a horror movie. And even if breakfast isn't free the level of food service makes it worth it. Getting in early we expected to take a quick nap and go straight to dinner, but hitting the bed we immediately passed out in blissful slumber and come morning we didn't want to crawl out bed. As someone that travels to six flags 4+ times a year this is definitely my new favorite hotel. A second elevator would be nice, but not necessary
The beds were terrible. Very hard
Transportation to and from Magic Mountain was easy and convenient. The room was very comfortable and the pool/ spa was relaxing. The breakfast buffet was delicious and plentiful! No complaints here!
Easy access from the freeway. The room was very clean. The staff at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. We used the in house shuttle service, the drivers were very nice and good drivers. The breakfast was made to order and the servers made you feel they were glad to see us. Thanks again for a fun stay!
All was fabulous at the Anza. Love the room. The bed was very comfortable. Henry and Zoe at the front desk were very professional, informed and personable. My only suggestions would be to have a few hooks in the bathroom to hang wet towels and maybe a mirror on the side wall in the bathroom. I wear contacts and it sometimes hard to see across the vanity.
Rooms, common areas, and facilities were very nice and modern looking. Outside (dirty / run down), the parking (old / run down), and hallways (old / run down).
The beds were amazing!!! The bar was expensive and the staff was not attentive and appeared to only want to serve when it was convenient to them. For the money, I spent I would expect either a complementary continental breakfast or free parking. Neither was available.
The Anza was the only hotel in the area that was pet friendly so my choices were limited. Luckily! Very contrmporary design with hardwood floors in the rooms. I read comments about the shower design and how the floor gets wet. It does, but who cares? Threw down an extra towel and called it good. Very nice staff and easy check in. Mini-fridge in the room was also nice to keep wine cood. Very spacious rooms so the three of us sharing the room were plenty comfortable. Only downside I found was no room service. There are single brew coffee pots in the room but I would have loved to have been able to have a pot of fresh coffee each monring in the room. There is a restaurant in the hotel which DOES service breakfast and coffee as well.
Very friendly staff & offered us late check out since we didn't check in until 2am. Very clean, nice location. Doesn't include breakfast
restaurants and shopping nearby. Internet never worked and had to go outside for cell phone to work. really frustrating.
It was very relaxing environment, also accept dogs.
Great ambience, $6mil upgrade really showed hotel's quality & efforts to be hotel of choice in Calabasas. $10 parking fee No breakfast (?) Guests on 2nd floor (I stayed on 1) can be heard walking around above (ruined the hotel experience).
Pet friendly. Over priced
We had to kick and scream to get a room that matched our reservation. They told us they had no more king bed rooms available. Then after raising a stink they magically found us a king room. There is also no material (magazines) in the room that describe the city or activities in the area.
Staff was amazing (though having a newborn with us helped). Young pregnant woman at front desk (didn't catch her name) was exceptionally accomodating. First night was broken by several members of a wedding party banging on our door and being loud in general.
I enjoyed the entertainment Friday and Saturday night. Kareoke and the house band were awesome The pool area could use some upgrades and a jacuzzi
The rooms were amazing, and the view was very beautiful! The workers were very polite and very outgoing
Had frig and mirowave in the room . Our room had a connecting door in it. The one night someone in the other room went to sleep with his tv volume up. beginning of the night we were able to sleep but as it got to early morning it became a problem. However when we tried to fix problem they quickly helped solve the issue.
Ita the nicest holiday inn i hqve ever seen and the girl at the front desk told me it was the biggest too. Also PARKING IS FREE. . . A rarity in LA It was all good
My only suggestion is that the room service could be a bit nicer for the price... plasticware?
The rooms were very nice and comfy. Nice size bathroom. The non-smoking rooms wreaked of disgusting stale cigarettes. As a non-smoker, it made me gag!!
Staff was friendly, breakfast included was nice, room was cleaned very well. Nice hot tub. Everyone was helpful. It's nice that the hotel has gone smoke free. Small room for the price. No exhaust fan in the bathroom, hence when you take a shower, the steam builds up. We were on an end room and there was a light right outside of our room (kept the room with more light than I liked all night long). We had children running and very noisy outside of our room into the evening.
I liked the room (nice beds/ linens), workout room. Breakfast was good too While the breakfast was good, staff had a hard time keeping up with the cross country team that descended all at once. But even so, they managed pretty well. Need some overflow procedures! I bought my room on Travelocity, so could not see a closing receipt when I checked out. I wish that we're different. All in all, I liked the hotel and will come back if the opportunity arises. Thank you.
The staff was amazing! Everyone went out of their way to say hello and check if you needed anything! Room had lots of outlets for all our electronics. 24 hour coffee/hot cocoa along with warm cookies at night was a huge plus! Not to mention yummy full hot breakfast and ice cold bottled water by the heated pool!
The staff offer excellent service, when booked in advance you get a better deal but overall above average hotel
The fasted check in and out I have ever experienced. Th staff was friendly and courteous
The staff was extremely helpful and kind. My bed was the best hotel bed I've ever experienced. Coupled with an array of pillow choices, one that was perfect, I slept very well. I did not like the lack of space in the breakfast room and the use of barstools that are not accessible to elderly/wheelchair guests. The hot tray was in the corner and the line waiting to get food blocked other guests from getting different items, i.e. waffles. The room itself felt as though it were missing furniture, such as a chair and ottoman; there was a lot of wasted/unused space.
good and clean.. too far away from LA center
Very nice overall. Staff very nice.
It was unique with every room having different murals and great location, very friendly hotel staff, and they even have a coffee/espresso machine at all hours of the night as well as pastries provided in the morning! Would definitely recommend for a trip to LA and will be staying here again! Limited parking in front so have to park in the back lot
David was very helpful, we had a bit of trouble finding our way however he talked us through it all and we arrived eventually. We end up extending our booking by 2 nights as the stay was comfortable. I confirmed on check in that my credit card was being used as a pre auth only, however when checking out i was informed my card had been charged without letting me know and i could not charge my stay to the correct card and nothing could be done about it.
excellent spacious room, iphone/ipod connection with tv, very good bed, shower, air conditioning, everything works great. very well decorated room, light inside. close to warner bros, just 10 minutes by car to universal studios and 30 minutes or less to six flags magic mountain.
The room was comfortable and adequate. It was pretty inexpensive going through an online source. Having said all the negative comments it is tons better than most hotel rooms I have been in. They did not give free wi fi. I tried to use my computer with a wire in the business room and it did not work. The lobby was so noisy that it was impossible to use the computer there even though in the lobby the wi-fi was "free". The parking was like a block away and you had to pay. They were short on amenities. I felt like they were nickel and diming me. The nice view they gave me was rather short on the nice. ,They did not give free wi fi. The parking was like a block away and you had to pay. They were short on amenities. I felt like they were nickel and diming me. The nice view they gave me was rather short on the nice.
Location and price. Starbucks in the lobby. The hotel overall felt old, tired and way overdue for a complete renovation.
I had reserved 5 rooms each with 2 double beds. At checkin I was given 4 rooms each with a King bed & 1 room with 2 double beds. Each room was to accommodate a family of 4. Clearly, 4 people would not fit on 1 King bed. I was offered a rollaway in only 1 of the rooms with a King & told that there were no more rollaways available. Some members of my party could not stay at the hotel & went to stay with local relatives. Shame on Marriott for not honoring the reservations as made!!
The concierge office was good with instructions. Registration was friendly and helpful. When we first arrived and went to our room, they had not made the bed and the pillows were on the chair in the room. The room cleaning staff was not real up to the standard that Marriott offers other places. We found a wet towel on our side table one day, they never replaced the glasses once they were used. They either left them or just did not replace them even though they were gone or dirty. They did not remove used food on plates from the room - Had to place them in the hall for them to get taken. Left things as if they had not finished their job. It seems that the cleaning staff needs to be taught the proper things to do. DO NOT leave rooms unfinished! The concierge lounge was not what it has been at other stays in other areas. They ran out of food each evening. The selection was not at all what it has been other locations. The staff in this area were not very friendly.
We liked the comfortable beds and updated room. The hotel had everything we needed - although we didn't have the chance to try much out since we were staying there after a late wedding and left early morning. Valet was overpriced. For the price of the room self-park should at least be free. The room location (318) was level with the gravel top roof building below - unsightly and defeated the purpose of having a balcony.
Clean room for a good price near where I needed to go. Staff was friendly and answered all my questions. Rooms are plain wrap, with a view of a parking lot. Hallways and building looks a little out dated. Don't like paying for a hotel and then pay to park there. Nothing luxurious but not bad. No fridge, I like a fridge for my snacks! Airplanes were cool when you want to look, but not so cool when your sleeping!
Over all is great. None
AC don't work.. No free parking "We had validation for over night parking and to our surprise they still charged the card "!.. Loud Airport/Air field within 200 feet & airplanes flying almost all night. For almost $200 a night NOT worth it !
I come here twice a year and always booked at this hotel. Last year stay was very depressing. The room not clean, staff not helpful, and hotel was under repair, which make a lot of noise. So everything was a messed. Now it is the opposite. All staff very accomodating, room nice and clean, everything in order.......I gave this hotel a FIVE STAR!!!
Hotel was Clean, well-maintained, well-staffed, friendly...Not a bad place to stay! Bumps right up to Van Nuys Airport - and although the Jets dont fly in/out during the night (well, not usually...lol), they do start @5:00 AM as this is a Private Airport - My word of advice...Don't get a room on the Far WEST side of Hotel (my room was right across the parking lot from the Airport and those jet are LOUD @5;00AM!! (I'm a light sleeper too so it wasn't the best situation)....
Right on airport. Jets start taking off at 5am
Dont be fooled by the picture. This hotel is lame. I should've just booked the Marriott. Place. Room. Carpets. Front desk. Manager
Room was fine. Staff great. Location was good for me. I could come back from a stressfull day and have a drink in the bar, order dinner and feel comfortable being solo. Staff was very accomodating. Had a little trouble getting my boarding pass printed out. But the staff perservered and I got it. I had great meals at the cafe and also room service. Not sure that they are as green as they think they are. did not replenish the regular coffee packets.
Had a great room on the first floor with sliding doors that opened to a beautiful green court yard next to 2 spas very relaxing Wish there had been more eat in restaurants near by
The front desk staff was very efficient and pleasant upon check-in. We received a call in our room from the front desk shortly after we arrived to ensure we had everything that we needed. The common areas in the lobby were comfortably sized. The whole property was clean and orderly. The room layouts - standard for newer Marriott locations we have stayed in, are cramped. There are other hotels at the same price point that feel like apartments compared to the Marriott layout. If you are looking for a comfortable bed - look to other hotels. Marriott seems to use the cheapest mattresses on the market. Insufferable for more than one night.
The pool is amazing. Great rooms. Uhhhh... Fee for parking? Didn't see that coming. No info about that when I booked or checked in. Also, no breakfast? I was under the impression that was complimentary. Nope. But Summer at the front desk was super knowledge & helpful.
Very economic, clean, close to six flags, and the bistro food was good. We were the only ones in line and the bistro staff didn't even greet us and let us know they'd be with us shortly until they were finished with whatever task they were working on. Also for the price of food you get very little.
Bistro was great for breakfast You can hear slight freeway noise
The staff was frirndly and very helpful, the rooms were spacious and the grounds were gorgeous. The pool was clean and heated.
