View - Memorable!
I lived in that neighborhood when I first moved to NY. The outdoor space that has the view of the Statue of Liberty has been closed. There is no view of the Harbor from any common area.
I had a beautiful, comfortable room with a breathtaking view overlooking the Statue Of Liberty and all the commerce on the river. It was a wonderful place home away from home for a great Big Apple week-end! N/A
Very luxurious comfortable hotel. They seem to be able to find the perfect mix of attention or privacy based on what you are looking for and if you seek out any help. Very classy hotel with a great staff.
Great View and location
Large and very clean room. The housekeeping service was really professional. The bathroom was comfortable, with a lot of space and really clean. The garage too expensive and without in and out privilege. I would suggest one of the several garage that you can find nearby the hotel, they are all more convinient. The hotel was perfect but the negative note was the charges for the wifi connection which is commonly for free in lower category hotels.
The friendliness and good education of the entire Staff. The setup of the room plus the commodities of th bath immense bathroom. The limitations of the breakfast offers plus the poor value for money
This is a lovely hotel, but it is a business hotel. Go to the one in Central Park if you are looking for a more romantic or family-oriented place to stay, but it is still a really nice place to stay. It's in battery park, away from the main buzz of nyc - lovely and quiet and the views of the Statue of Liberty are beautiful, but stay elsewhere if you want to be in the centre of things.
The location was outstanding with a view of the harbor and Statue of Liberty. The room was large and well laid out with an oversize bathroom. The staff at the concierge desk was outstanding and extremely courteous and helpful. Very elegant and pleasant stay.
Nice and friendly staff TV did not work properly.
Bed's were comfortable and staff was super friendly. Bathroom was top notch. Getting a cab was super easy the staff were pro's at that. Nickle and dimed to death room from room service 4 drinks Cokes and Pepsi 2 of each were 30 plus dollars and they were the small bottles. I found pills in my room and my whute comforter had lots of dark lint.Food was standard at best. My room had no mini fridge. Windows were not sound proof. Really far from everything fun. Boat horns go off all times of the morning somtimes so loud it makes you look at your phone to see if its vibrating. Overall nice place could be the best if they fix these issues.
Bath + separate shower. Very friendly and professional service.
The room was quite clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed the water bottle refill station.
Very Clean, well maintained. Smallish rooms.
The staff was very polite.
Location to shopping, tourist attractions, and public transportation lump between two matresses being placed together to form a larger bed
The staff is very courteous and helpful. The premises are clean and well maintained. The location is awesome if you like to walk around and take in the sights. The Financial District is one of the few places I enjoy walking around as it isn't as densely populated at night. The room we had was right by a garbage disposal or ice machine so every so often we'd hear it go off. Very distracting and unpleasant. The room seemed smaller than it is because the ceilings are outrageously tall. The bathroom looks like the designer took a page out of the YMCA men's domicile for inspiration - cheap tile, crappy shower, meh. The windows haven't been washed in what I can only assume is eons so even if the view were breathtaking (it wasn't) you wouldn't be able to see it properly.
Location was excellent but hotel was way too expensive
I thought the staff very responsive to my questions. I had a document printed out at short notice, and it was done efficiently and without complaint. What I most disliked was the set-up with the television. It is absolutely standard these days --even at a motel 6 -- to have a large number of cable tv stations available with at least some of the more common movie channels. There was none of that. Also, one would expect a large movies-on-demand set-up on the television and that too was missing. 2) my in-house phone did not work, and so to communicate with the front desk, I had to go down by elevator; 3) it was difficult to catch a cab in this part of wall street, and there was no way of doing so, according to the staff, except to walk 2 or 3 blocks and hope for the best. The hotel should have a better arrangement when it comes to cabs; 4) the bed was fine, but the only cover/comforter doubled as a bed-spread, which meant one had to sleep with the bed-spread, which I find off-putting -- potentially unclean.
It is a really good choice! Clean and new hotel, in the middle of wall street, it is really cheap compared to other much more options in new york. The price I paid was 20% less expensive than other hotel in town. Rooms are clean, nice and confortable. Self check in is strange but very efficient at the end!!!
I had a PHENOMENAL front dresk staff Saturday when I got in! Super helpful!!
Location and cleanliness of room
The location, included amenities, and service were all spot on. Will definitely return here. Only complaint was the hard bed. That said, it was well worth the trade off.
The location was very convenient to all of the Financial District. The attached restaurant provided good food and standard NY prices. The room was clean, quite (outside noise was minimal) and the staff very accommodating. Although the parking was discounted, it was about a block away. It was not clear where the parking facility was located and I circled the blocks a few times and wound up having to call the hotel to give me instructions on where to go.
Convenient and clean. The rooms were a bit smaller than What I was use to.....but comfortable bed
Bathroom design is too crampy, no place to put extra toiletries. there was no refrigerator in my room.
the bathroom flooded every time i showered
I enjoyed the modern room style and the view of the city.
The location was prime. Especially if you're staying in the area for buisness. View was amazing. Staff was VERY friendly. Left some medication in my room after check out and they let me back into the room to grab it. The staff could work on giving better directions, but they were friendly and eager to help. Everything was clean and new. Also was nice cherry on top to be able to stay you've stayed at the tallest Holiday Inn in the world. Bar area was nice and bartender was friendly and offered us a free drink. Would certainly recommend this hotel if you're staying in the Financial District of Manhattan. The room was small. The king size bed took up about half the room, but we were only staying a night so we didn't mind. Also, the parking was a few blocks away, not well marked and a bit pricey (it is NYC after all). It was a bit of a hike to get to Central Park, Times Square etc. but the Statue of Liberty and 9/11 memorial/Freedom Tower are a short walk. No need for a cab or subway.
Location to major tourist attractions a huge plus! The 9/11 memorial and Statue of Liberty close by. Access to the subway is also walking distance. The room was small. The bathroom was even smaller. Could barely close the door once you step in. The elevator took forever to get to my floor. Over 10+ minutes. When the elevator doors finally opened, it's packed with people. I had to go down 13 flights of stairs with luggages! Not happy at all!
Location is the best thing about this hotel. Hotel was very clean. Rooms are too overcrowded. Can barely walk around my room. Very small rooms make me feel very clostophobic. Workers misinformed me about parking and had to pay full price for parking instead of getting discounted rate.
The toilet did not work and the desk sent someone up from engineering within 10 minutes.
Very nice stay. Almost my dream hotel room. The vendor machine at 10th floor doesn't work.
Staff was very friendly and helpful.
The location was great! Everything was at walking distance! The check out too early!
We arrived very early New York morning The hotel gave us a beautiful and very soon we got our room. Very nice hotel, our room too. Very comfortable, new and inviting. We were assisted by representatives of all that we had to receipt and received excellent service and answers to all our questions. We would be happy to stay at the hotel, even when we get next time.
Great price and good view from the 17th floor
Great view of the World Trade Center. Restaurant food was good. Breakfast options were limited and exactly the same everyday
The location, the amenities, the staff, and the rate ... everything about this hotel was spectacular. I suggest everyone at least take a look at the restaurant that overlooks the 9/11 memorial and the rooftop deck. The staff at 10pm and at 10am were bubbly and personable but most importantly, they were extremely helpful. I can't say enough nice things about this property. The only negative that I could possibly mention is the water pressure wasn't as strong as I like. Other than that, everything was wonderful.
that we had to leave
Style and cleanliness of hotel good. Room is small, but not unreasonably so. Construction around the site made access less trhan ideal.
Overall, our stay was short but sweet- the view from the restaurant is amazing, which can only be beat by the sun terrace! Absolutely breathtaking
I liked the value of this hotel, as finding a decent hotel at an affordable rate is difficult in Manhattan. The room was small but efficiently laid out. On the 20th floor in the restaurant, one can get a great view of the 9/11 Memorial from atop. Breakfast is not included in stay, so beware as the breakfast buffet and a cup of tea came out to $24. Since New York is full of great restaurants and places to grab brunch, I always prefer to grab a tasty bite elsewhere.
clean well appointed room with great view and great price
Location and value were superb! Nothing
The convenient location next to 911 Memorial Museum and great view from rootop. Old and outdated, worn out pillows, sheets, and ammenitis.
Ice cold filtered water and plastic bottles to fill, free of charge, on every floor - a lovely amenity in NYC in July. Room was luxe and comfortable, affordable by NYC standards, but there are signs that maintenance is being deferred - poorly patched ceilings and window seals, sluggish drains, housekeeping giving the once-over instead of a real cleaning. This was our second stay, but it was nicer last year. I hope it will be back on the upswing again next year! Better housekeeping and maintenance required - it's far from filthy and broken-down, but as an experienced traveler, I can see signs that things are being given a lick and a promise instead of the required cleaning and maintenance. My son's white socks were BLACK on the soles from walking around the carpeted room.
Modern and clean. Very secure.
The location was great. The room was adorable. The staff was very freindly and courteous
The hotel restaurant was brilliant. The location for Downtown exploration was amazing. Fantastic value for money. The was no pan for the hob in the room.
Clean nice hotel near ground zero. Subway sations near as well as some restaurants. A suite was not very large, but comfortable for four people. A special price was very resonable for quality of hotel and service. Construction noise may disturb in some rooms, not a problem for us. A suite was booked for four people, but towels etc. only for three. After complaint an extra was gotten, but same problem next day.
Clean rooms, the staff was incredibly helpful and very friendly (gave us an upgrade, too!), great price, rooftop restaurant/bar had great views and a nice happy hour. There is a lot of construction near Ground Zero which can make it a little noisy during weekdays, but obviously that's not their fault and it really wasn't anything terrible. And over the weekend there was no noise at all.
We picked the hotel because of its price and location. Very nice design, clever use of space. We had a handicap accessible room and it worked great.
Location was best for business. Location
Hotel was good but service not what was expected delay in releasing car from valet parking Bad customer service
subway closed price
The hotel was clean , the room was just the right size. The services provided are very good (free internet access, with yourown pc in your bedroom, or in the pc room, where you can print out your check-in on-line; free water provided; gym facilities). The hotel is in the Financial district, very close to the subway station, so in 15 minutes you can be at Time Square). The staff was helpful. I found a little hole in the bed-sheet, but I believe that was just something that can happen once in a while. Compared to many other hotels in NY the World Center had a reasonable price, but still I found it quite expensive...250 Dollars for just one night (it was the night of the Marathon though, so prices were quite high everywhere)! I guess that's just NY!
It was convenient in Manhattan, and the staff was very helpful. A little noisy with the construction nearby of the new Freedom Tower
Quiet environment like being at home with excellent service. Close to business excellent positioning Nothing
Not much You pay additional for everything except a basic bed. The staff has a negative attitude that borders on rude. The elevator service is very slow.
Everyone was helpful, and gave great suggesstions. The room was large enough for the 4 of us, not always the case in NYC, clean and comfortable. We were very happy with the location and the BLT restaurant was very good.
Was easy to get there, since it was a weekend we parked on the street without a problem and as we marked in the preferences we wanted a room with a view they gave us a a room looking at the Hudson River.
Considering it was the marathon weekend we were able to get a room here. Very clean. Beds were small and not that comfortable. But for NYC it was bigger than I have seen
awesome location, convenient restaurant downstairs, and a great staff. i didn't like my corner room. It was very hard to get into. Also the tv would stop working every 15 minutes and took a while to fix everytime. Then the thermostat would reset itself to 72 every couple of hours
The Building, 70 Pine, is absolutely gorgeous! The rooms are brand new -- and are more like a little apartment than a typical hotel room. The staff exceeded all expectations.
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
Size of room, beautiful lobby Check out process too slow, no live broadcast or cable/satellite TV
Great experience Pillows could have been fluffier

Very very clean! It was awesome having a full kitchen too. Bed was huge and comfy. The water pressure in the shower was AMAZING for NYC and really great for a hotel too! Location near subway was great. Wifi was pretty spotty and I needed it for work so that was an issue. Also- parking in the area is $$$$$$$. There's no real spot that is close by to unload luggage.
room was great
The room was great, mosre like a small apartment. Unloading and loading by car was inconvenient.
Spacious rooms with all necessary amenities in a suite. Yes, there was only one items. The cleaning staff is too harsh with their cleaning products. The white bed sheets were indeed white but they had a heavy smell of bleach. In the 2 rooms I stayed this was the case. Bad for the environment & humans sleeping.
The bathroom is gorgeous, huge free standing shower and elegant tub. I loved the power blackout shades. Staff went the extra mile every time we asked. AC was out and it was just too hot. Finally they supplied fans.
The staff was exceptionally helpful and nice-- I booked a room as a birthday surprise, but before I booked I wanted to see the room in person to make sure it looked as good as the pictures. I stopped by the hotel and asked a person at the front if I could go up to just see a room, and he said it was no problem and let me have a look. A lot of the pictures on this website are of the King Deluxe room, but the King Standard room still looked really nice (just a little smaller). After I booked the room, I went to check-in and told the person at the front that it was a birthday present. As a favor, she said that she would upgrade me for free, since it was for a birthday! I thought that was an extremely nice thing to do, since they had unfilled Deluxe rooms anyways. That was awesome and I really appreciated it, got to stay in the huge Deluxe room for a really cheap price! Would have been nice if we were able to make dinner reservations at Bar Seven Five, but you are only able to make breakfast/lunch reservations at Wall & Water.
My clean, spacious room was a "large King" that I had been upgraded into. It felt more like a studio apartment than a hotel room. I loved the free mini bar and couldn't get over how friendly and helpful the staff was. The Andaz Hotel staff has nailed charming professionalism. I tried to watch a bit of TV one night and the cable was cutting in and out. Also, I had to request more snacks and beverages vs an automatic replenishment.
Stayed at the Andaz for one night bc of the location and price. It far exceeded our expectations - the room was immaculate, roomy and nicely decorated. We also felt like we had more amenities than other hotels for the price and the staff was great. Would go back in a heartbeat!
Huge bathroom...nice location and very pleasant staff...enjoyed our stay immensely.
We had a wonderful stay at Andaz Wall Street. The rooms were modern and clean. The staff were very friendly. The subway stop is a very convieneint walk away. Wall street was not a very convenient for us.
Nice spacious rooms, very very nice staff, very small dog friendly, very well maintained all around. Also great location to stay in nyc because it's close to the metro/buses and at night there isn't so much noise as compared to midtown or uptown. Since we went in winter there was only heat available in the room. So to cool the room I had to open a window. These windows are quite massive and if I were a drunk person or not in the right state of mind, I have no doubt someone could fall to their death. I think this is a definite safety issue the hotel should really look into. At the very least maybe put in stoppers that only allow one to crack the window and not fully open.
The staff is what made this hotel-- friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Sadly some rare traits these days at hotels. Also, loved the simplicity and elegance of the rooms and whole hotel. Would definitely return. Towels smelled a like chemicals
Through Kayak we were fortunate to get a good deal on the price of the Andaz. It is a beautiful hotel in a good location. While it is quite south of most of the activity in Manhattan, it's an easy subway ride to the activities north of the hotel.
The bathroom was so new and the huge shower with the glass doors was pretty cool. pretty much all the furniture looked like it was purchased from Ikea. I'm over the "modern" aka cheap ikea look in hotels.
Freebies in room, beautiful bathroom, comfy bed, great location I assume our room was above the restaurant so it smelled like the kitchen during open hours, could use a thorough cleaning in the rooms.
Nothing ,,,tuelly nothing in this hotel ,,,,its dirty ,old , not well located im sorry nothing i liked I had bed bugs at W downtown , i had to go to the doctor , i was red hittchy and full of spots . When i complaigned to the manager he told me i was wrong they have no bed buggs , they did a pedt control . So my doctor asked for a biopsy that came positive . Shame and they did not want to refund my 3 night this place is terrible , and i had a terrible stay .
Nice bathrooms. Room small but adequate.
Only the beds. Small bathroom. Small room. Low beds. Small TV. No proper lobby. Had reserved and paid for a King size bed but upon checkin was told there only two full sized beds left. Almost no apology. No trying to make up for it with a credit or free movie etc. Very matter of fact. Wasn't expecting that from W brand.
Soap Feels like walking thru a discoteque during daytime, sad vibe.
Has a nice boutique-ish vibe. Good music on the 5th floor lobby. Great location. Excellent staff. The rooms were large, clean and quite modern. No on-premise restaurant but not a biggie - plenty of good restaurants around.
Close to the r line Elevator took very long, would have to wait a long time
The staff of this hotel was great. The bed was comfortable. It was clean. The room was loud. Even at a high floor I could hear everything that happened outside my door or next door. Also things in the room showed wear: broken outlets and cracked tiles. The first floor entrance is confusing and gross--it smelled like damp and mold. The a/c/heater was so loud I just turned it off at night because it would wake me up.
Subway was right outside the door, a lot of food places and shops near by! Not busy and in a quiet street!
Friendly staff. Nothing to complain. Good location and easy access to go anywhere. The water running in the bathroom when i shower, the water pressure was to strong when i was washing my hands that every time i had to clean around me the water splashing and the towels where not clean. It shounds ridiculous but it's really. I don't complain just to be a pain in the a.. but to help them fix those problems.
Good shower, water pressure and area Bathroom a bit tight Air conditioner was noisy
Location and price were great. Room was clean, well-appointed and functional albeit small. Elevators. 3 elevators for 44 floors is simply insufficient. I had to wait for elevators every time I went down. At check out time it took me over 15 minutes and 4 missed elevators to get downstairs. I would've walked but for my 3 large bags. I can only imagine how long the waits are when one of the elevators goes down or the hotel is particularly busy.
Good service. Frenly staff .good value Elevators slow.
very polite staff great location close to a few subway lines (0.1 miles from R line) pharmacy right next to the hotel a lot of places for shopping and fast food restaurants if you occasionally need some extra clothes(e.g. elegant short) - you have TJMaxx in 5 minutes walking distance 3 elevators for 44 floors building are not enough (busy all the time) I had tiny ants on the floor in my bathroom.. other people probably will not even notice that..
I was trying to clarify why they billed me the hotel twice. Took me hours waiting on the line being redirected from one person to another ending up with the most unfriendly, not listening person ever. Very dissatisfying!
The staff were friendly. Elevators could take up to four minutes to arrive at your floor.
Ok ok ok ok okkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
nice staff...comfortable bed...efficient room smokers hanging outside.....person vacuuming entry obviously would be doing something else
Lovely little place. Small rooms, big bathrooms. Clean and tidy. Good breakfast. Quiet. Great location. Needs some updating. Luggage stand in room was broken. Room had very few electrical outlets.
Great staff, wifi, comfortable room, great location (and on a quiet street). Price ok for NY. Breakfast was too simple to be called breakfast. I would stay here again.
Like the clean, nice facilities, several blocks from two different Metros, near some restaurants Also, booked a double room through Amoma through Kayak (which the booking agency told me it would be two beds): The Hotel had given me a King room, luckily they were able to accommodate us and switch to double beds as booked. The continental breakfast is limited: cereal, pastries, boiled eggs and coffee--until it runs out at 8:30am. No yogurt or fruit?
The room was lovely. It was clean, and I loved the decor. Very comfortable bed. Seriously, I wish I could have stolen it. The housekeeping staff was also very kind. The people at the reception desk seemed very short and unavailable. Upon entering the hotel no one was even there to check us in. Also, when we called the desk for information, they weren't terribly accommodating. It was the only hotel I'd ever been in where reception was so unsavory.
The rooms are quiet and confortable. The breakfast is nice. All my hangers were broken, and the tv in the gym was working one day and disconnected the next day.
Car service that hotel arranged did not show up.
I enjoyed the staff's friendliness, room's cleanliness, continental breakfast and hotel's outstanding location for sightseeing in New York city. It is a hotel to which I will by sure return in the future. My short stay (only 2 days). I should have stayed longer.
fitness machines, steam and sauna great, location excellent, near many restaurants Small rooms, charged for internet, elevator breakdown three times during stay
Super-comfy bed, free wi-fi and the room rate, which was not excessive by NYC standards included breakfast. Good and safe neighborhood, within walking distance of nearby subway station to connect to midtown and immediately near a very lively pub area. Breakfast selection was rather limited. The staff, while they did respond to our questions and requests, always seemed unhappy to do so. A smile wouldn't hurt.
The room was beautiful with one of the largest bathrooms I have ever seen. It was also so quiet on each floor with only a handful of rooms. The staff were polite and helpful. We were right in the heart of the Financial district. I would stay again. Nothing.
The night staff was very friendly! Especially Adrianna Coffee and Bkfst bar were good
Very walkable to the water taxi, 9-11 memorial, statue of liberty/battery park, etc. Excellent staff, Jonathan was great, got upgraded too! Great experience here. I couldn't access my balcony due to the construction going on at the hotel next door. :'( But still loved my room!
The room was great and felt like a hotel that would charge much more. The breakfast was above average for a free breakfast. The staff was amazing and a went out of their way to make sure my young children had a great stay!! I will search for Hampton Inn before others from now on. Nothing.
Staff courtesy and helpfulness; free Wi-Fi and great breakfast; location, location, location
Best buy in New York at that date, clean modern quarters great service We
Our room was on the first floor. You could hear the elevator dings, could hear staff talking with guests. It was just very loud.
Staff quite friendly and attentive...quick to answer questions, hail a taxi, etc....room attractive, comfortable and clean. Perfect location for running in the United half marathon as it is situated right near the finish line. Walking distance to varied restaurants and taverns. Would stay here again next time I need to be in this location of the city.
Other guests were extremely loud at all hours of the day and night.
Nothing Hairs in the bed that were not mine , barely slept due to paper thin windows and walls so every movement and word of the neighbors seemed like it was inside the room, and right above a shallow subway stop so literally the whole hotel rumbled and shook like an earthquake every time it went by . Rooms look chic but furnishings are junky and bath products watered down and low quality . Gross lobby , dirty like the rooms .
The location was great and staff was super friendly. Tons of space in the rooms, too! The idea and vibe they were trying to create was cool, but the execution was lacking the details to truly make it something great & memorable. Peeling wallpaper, shelves that hadn't been dusted, and lax finishing (sloping floor, sloppy caulk, price tags left on soap dispensers) kind of took away from the luxury vibe. Also, the "free coffe & tea" area is a joke.
