Great location. Close to Times Square, Central Park, and Rockefeller Center. Large rooms for a New York hotel. Very professionally run and business like facility. High energy level with constant activity in the public areas. It isn't cheap but you can easily pay more for less value in NYC.
Nice sized room for NY. Updated and modern. Heat was stuck on high and it was super hot. Luckily the windows work and we could get a cold breeze. Pillows were fluffy and flat at the same time.
Clean room with a comfortable bed. The hotel is very centrally located with many attractions close by. Staff was very efficient and friendly. The walls are paper thin and we had very loud neighbors. We could hear everything going on in the room next door. Unfortunately the neighbors were very inconsiderate and we had to call down to security to ask them to be quiet.

Very clean, great location! I have stayed here a few times and always have a nice time there. The cleaning staff is so friendly. The food at the hotel is very expensive. I searched all over for an atm machine and couldn't find one. The lines for the elevator can be a bit long

Great accommodating staff. Helpful concierge. So close to Times Square & all the theaters, so perfect for the 1st time visitor. Clean & comfortable. Beds are nice & cozy. Pool is part of the gym inside the building, so it's only a lap pool. Not for lounging & definitely not for kids. There is a sauna which would be nice in the winter. Very busy hotel! Not a relaxing lobby or even many places to sit (only 4 chairs & some makeshift areas around the plants)! No mini fridge in room.

Great hotel if you're a tourist and want to be in Times Square - easy walking distance to many attractions and not too far can / uber ride to others. The rooms were nice and clean, the maids always bought us new soaps, razors, toothpaste, towels etc. some of the staff are seriously awful. My partner has a severe allergy to nuts, and we had issues with two waiters there who seemed preoccupied and had to ask a manager to go and confirm if there was nuts in a dish she wanted for dinner or not. The waiter made us feel awful and then progressively got ruder (getting in our faces, yelling, etc) after the manager had been involved. We did get given a few free drinks and a box of chocolates from management (although she couldn't have the chocolates due to nuts) But otherwise we had a lovely stay, only ruined by a few staff members who need to learn if you work in a service job it's part of your job to at least TRY and be polite and understanding!

It was in a perfect location in Times Square. A few blocks from the subway. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Needs some updating/maintenance. For the price you pay for location, seems they could upkeep better. All 3 drawers in our dresser didn't close properly, off track or something. Bathrooms could use some new caulk, gappy and dirty looking.
My wife has a convention here once a year in January so I tag along. We had a stunning view of Broadway and Times Square from our corner room on the 45th floor (out of 46). Room was clean. Service is friendly and courteous. Bell Captain kept our bags for us after checkout so we could do a bit of sight-seeing until we had to go to the airport. When it was time to get our bags, he walked them down to the taxi stand for us and made sure we had a cab. Wi-fi seemed a bit slow.
The location was good. Their concierge staff were nice . Check in was quick .we were givin compound of 2 free complimentary drinks from their bar but we did nit use it.wifi was included in the service fees but also I did not need to use it. When I checked in the toilet was ful of hair & there was a nail on the toilet table .generally the housekeeping service is not good. I noticed that paper napkin was not refilled as if they are saying you have to use one box per stay
Location of the Crowne Plaza Times Square was perfect and centrally located. The Concierge, Corinne, was amazing. She gave great tips, directions, and was so personable and friendly. Our room was awesome, with a great view. The exercise facility was great, many areas to work out in and a large variety of equipment. All staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a great time.

Great location, just steps from Central Park, shopping, restaurants, etc. Nice decor. The $25 fee per guest. Really? What a rip off. BUT, it includes free wifi! And a bottle of water! Many hotels offer wifi and water for free to anyone that signs up for their loyalty/rewards program (which is free!) You do get a $10 credit, though, which can be used to purchase a $20 drink on the roof top. Stop gaming your customers.

Location 1. No communication by hotel staff. They tried to place us in a room that is half the size of a regular room without even telling us when we checked in. We found about this when we actually entered the room. After that we had to reconcile this very uncomfortable and unexpected experience. 2. Hotel management spent 10 minutes explaining how they cannot keep the fully paid room and that upon check in they will place and assign the room of their availability. Why bother and pay in advance if there is no guarantee? 3. We didn't feel hospitality was there at all. It truly came across as just another place interested in making money rather than building long lasting experience 4. Hotel is definitely run down and it stinks super bad. 5. We would not recommend this hotel and definitely would not have given it 3 stars. Stay some place else!
Very good, central location on 7th Avenue. Just a few blocks from Times Square, Central Park, immediately adjacent to Broadway...can easily walk (or use subway) to anywhere in Midtown. Hotel staff was courteous and helpful. Had a decent breakfast bar in the lobby with very kind, courteous employees staffing it. Was an enjoyable visit every morning, though it's primarily only got muffins, fruit, and coffee. Room was very minimalist and small. Bed was not particularly comfortable. TV only has a few channels and reception was fuzzy on about half of them. Wi-fi is not free - costs roughly $15 per day, less if you buy several days' worth of usage up front. Noise from the street below was pretty noticeable; it would have been very difficult to tune it out completely had I not been using ear plugs. Basically, it's cheaper than the other (nicer, I would assume) hotels in the area, but the location could make it worthwhile if you don't plan to spend a lot of time in your room...and it's NYC, so why would you? Spend a lot of time out in Manhattan, making use of the great location, and you won't mind the facilities as much.

The location was ideal as it was close to tourist attractions. Lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas and had a very festive luxurious feel. The rooms however were comfortable, standard but clean and gave Bath and Body Works as complimentary toiletries which was a nice touch. Staff were also friendly. Chargable WIFI - We live in a day and age where communication abroad is important to some. Free WIFI should've been included with the room as it wasn't cheap to book here and would be nice if it was complimentary like other hotels in the area. Also we stayed in room 754 where the air con fan wouldn't switch off (in December)!
The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The location was excellent for our needs. The hotel is tired and worn. It needs an injection of cash to update and refresh the rooms and fixtures. It wasn't the worst place to stay because it was clean and the location was great. The front desk was understaffed at both check-in and check-out. This created long lines and long waits. We had to wait an hour for our room to be ready because they were behind on their turn-overs and we arrived at 8PM. They need to hire more staff for peak times.
Zachary at the front desk was wonderful! All of the staff were so pleasant. The fresh flowers in the lobby were just beautiful. The art in residence program showcased interesting pieces of art throughout the hotel. The rooms were lovely, comfortable bed, very clean - an all around 10 out of 10 stay! nothing negative.

The lobby ambiance The elevators that trapped us unless we called for help from staff. The hotel room we got had a terriie mold odor. The floors were wet especially by the front door. My husband was walking his mom to the front door and his socks were black and smelled from the carpet. So he then knew he must jump in the shower, the water pressure was so terrible and worst of all only cold water. All we wanted was a warm shower and a bed to retire for the night and we couldn't even do that. We called down to the manager and complained and they refunded our room we then left the hotel asap after we called.
The staff were as professional and as helpful as any I've ever experienced. The meeting amenities and food were very high quality. My room was difficult to get to a comfortable temperature. The thermostat did not appear to have any bearing on the room which left me shivering through the night. Also, the fixtures in the bathroom were loose and the sink would not hold water.
I liked the kindness of the staff and all the resources available to make the stay comfortable The room service food could be a little better and I'd like bubble bath to be offered at the spa. Everything else was fabulous.

THe room was amazing - largest I've ever seen in NYC. And sumptious. We were at the Waldorf during the Blizzard. Ordered room service for dinner (no restaurants were open) at 6:15pm, and they told us 1.5 hour wait. Fine, they were really busy. So, it wasn't until 8:45 that I called down to ask where was our order. It took them 15 minutes to discover that they had no record of our order, but they would expedite. So, we got our food by 9:20. One would have thought they would have comped us SOMETHING. Dessert, even. But, they didn't comp a thing. A REAL classy hotel would have offered something. Points off for that.
Staff and Bull and Bear. Grew up on the WA. It's looks very tired now though. Ironing board was broken, Almost burnt my foot off. Had to check out early, check out staff had no remorse or offering to lessen my bill. Good stay but they don't go the extra mile, which they need right now, considering the competitive landscape of midtown hotels and their current status as kind of a shitty/ outdated hotel. Sorry WA, I love you but either drop your price or update.
Very attentive, but not overdone and a great room very comfortable. Refreshing old world charm - it takes you back to a slower pace enjoying a drink at the Bull and Bear.
Great location, room was clean Old and they don't maintain the building anymore as they will close in 2018. Service not really at Hilton level, the good old days are probably over. I think the hotel offers the value of a EUR 50.- 3* hotel in France or Italy, that's it! The breakfast buffet is ridiculously expensive and average only. Service is not really 5* level. I wouldn't book the hotel again.

We think this is the best boutique hotel in New York. Impeccable service, historic surroundings, magnificent public rooms. Great room service food. A bit pricey, but so is everything in NYC.
The views from our tower room were amazing. Staff were helpful and courteous. I would especially like to thank Ces for his personalised service, even though the shuttle did not not pick us up. We were given the wrong information regarding where to board our shuttle service and consequently, missed our transfer to the airport. The shuttle service was rung by reception at the hotel, but the company told us we had been given the wrong information as to where to meet the shuttle and they were not willing to provide us with another service to the airport. We then had the added expense of a taxi fare to JFK, to meet our flight. I did not appreciate this. Also, given the cost of accommodation, I would like to have seen internet access built into the price, not as an additional cost to the customer.
Lovely location, very good service. The room was very nice but the bathroom was quite poor in comparison. Enjoyed Sunday brunch. Had a problem with checking in....had the reservation under the wrong name. Didn't like breakfast in Oscars...the food was poor and the coffee was cold

The hotel and staff were pleasant. Our room was nice and clean. Rooms are small but we expected that. The hotel is very busy. We were there for fun and enjoyed the craziness. New York never sleeps, but I like to. Bring ear plugs if you stay in Time Square. New Yorkers like their car horns.
The staff are very friendly, helpful and efficient, especially Justyna from Reception/Reservation. Location is awesome. The hotel has a great security policy. We felt secured. The hotel physical looks need to be updated and maintained. This may upgrade the hotel in general and compete with other hotels in the area.

With its location just hard to compete but, anything beyond that is not remarkable. The hotel old fashioned, we change three rooms and still have not found a room that has hot water which meets our demands. Only after a number of requests thay sent a plumber who fixed the problem. Very suitable for those who want mainly to visit the city and get a good-value because of the location. This huge hotel stay can not offer much more.
Location wasn't too bad. Very close to Times square. Walking distance to Broadway shows and shops. Extremely small bathroom with no ventilation. Walls are thin. Could here everything going on outside like the windows we open even though they weren't. No dresser to put clothes in. Very basic. Loud air conditioner. Laundry facilities would help a lot! Took forever to get an elevator bc they were always full. St Front desk staff not so friendly. Conceirse service not useful at all. Didn't even try to help us figure out things to do. Very disappointed.
I thought the hotel had some very positive attributes such as the entertance to the building and the location of the hotel but these positive atrributes were over shadowed by the disappointing service I had encountered here I was extremely unsatisfied with the service at the hotel. When I first arrived in my hotel room I found that the bathroom door knob was somewhat broken and the toilet handle was difficult to use making it hard to flush at times. My room was supposed to come with a coffee maker in it and there was not one. I was not upset with that fact but what did upset me was that when I called to have one delivered, I was told that one would be brought up right away. This however was not the case, I called the front desk again about 20 or so minutes later and they apologized and told me one would be sent up. Another 15 minutes went by and I was still kept waiting for the coffee maker. I called the front desk for a third time and they transferred me somewhere in the hotel where I was told that the person that was to bring the coffee went on lunch, considering I called way before noon this was very frustrating. After waiting a whole hour I finally received the coffee machine and to my surprise was just a simple keurig machine that anyone could of brought up to my room. Another issue that I faced here was upon checking out. I had called the front desk an hour and a half before it was time to check out to have them send security to my room because the safe was no longer working and to have them bring my car out of the parking garage, they asked for my ticket number which was to be given to me by the doorman at my arrival, sadly no such ticket was given to me when the doorman took my car.The front desk basically told me there was nothing they could do without the ticket number and sent my call to the doorman for him to assist me. I waited on the line and the phone just continued to ring with no response. I called back to the front desk after a period of time because I was still waiting for security to open the safe and to get the car issue settled and ended up being transferred from person to person and no one was helping me locate my car. It became evident that I would have to go to the front desk to get this handle because nothing was getting handled. At the desk they insisted that I had received a ticket, which was 100 percent false if I had received the ticket I wouldn't have been in the situation I was in. It wasn't until a manager came over and took over and helped my situation by having the doorman go an physically check the lot for my car, and when he returned I was again forced to wait at least another half an hour to get my car which I didn't quite understand why it wasn't taken out of the lot while the doorman was already over there. I really am not one to complain but when I'm paying over 500 dollars to stay at a hotel I'd expect my service to be much better than the way I was treated.
Room was clean. The ugly bath tub. Noisy heating system and bad pluming pipes made a awful noise all night . Didn't sleep well and was up early and checked out. This hotel was recommended to my spouse and I.
The Chatwal fires on all cylinders. Every need is attended to. Expensive, but worthwhile. The bathroom was amazing, but using the shower at full pressure actually caused a bit of a flood. The climate and lighting control is handled by a single touch-screen unit, but its operation is a little complicated. Light-switches shouldn't be confusing.
The decor and availability of room service as well as the location The hotel is very small and cramped. The floor we stayed on had a horrible fried food odor that was overwhelming every day of our stay. I did not feel that the overall quality was representative of a 5-star hotel.
Location is good. The front desk people are not friendly. They hit me with a "Facility Fee" of $30.00 puls tax (daily) no prior explanation from the front desk ( as to what Facility had I used) when I checked out. Poor communication with guests. Luckily I did ask them to waive this charge. They should explain to me on Facilities Fee when I check in!. Poor customer service! Would I come back to this hotel? You guess!

They hit me with a $30 dollars plus tax facility fee which is ridiculous why should we pay facility valet parking is ridiculous expensive , they hotel needs to be updated the style is from the late 90's we should get more for what we paid for

I like the location of the Park Lane Hotel. The stuff was very friendly. I didn't like that when I got to my rood the bathroom looked dirty. The toilet seat had a urine on it which wasn't the best welcoming moment.
The staff was very accommodating. My son had to rehearse for a concert he was playing in and the Manager allowed him to use a Ball Room that was not in use. We greatly appreciated that. Also, the evening reception was very nice. The bathroom could be cleaner. There were chipped tiles and the faucet was lose.
The staff was friendly and the location was great. The guest services were pretty quick: We had issues with the first room and were quickly moved upon request. One of our charge ports stopped working and it was quickly replaced. Lamp shades were dusty and were quickly cleaned upon request. The rooms are really outdated and truly need to be updated, ESPECIALLY the bathrooms. We had to request a move from the first room due to the tub leaking. The sinks and tubs are chipped and the tubs don't drain well (both rooms). The lamps were dusty and some were broken. The hallways are a bit dark and carpet looks dingy. There is a mandatory facility fee that includes calls, wifi, etc...that is overpriced and totally not worth it.
The location is amazing and the staff generally helpful. Rooms need some updating as do the bathrooms, but overall the hotel is good value by NYC standards.
Location was perfect! They have a house car that can take you to the airport or pick you up. We had a king room that was beautifully decorated and so spacious. Would definitely stay here again. There were a couple of spots that were stained on the shower curtain and on the down comforter. However, I never felt that these things weren't clean there were just some spots. The knobs on the shower were backwards and the facet was slanted so it was sometimes difficult to turn the shower off. This doesn't take away from the fact that the shower felt absolutely amazing!
The room was overlooking Central Park and very enjoyable. My Grandaughter(10) and I were so impressed by the hotel service. Everyone was so accommodating and friendly. Best NY trip ever! Central to everything You see and hear everything in NY. Its a life experience !
They ignored my original reservation of a King executive suite and put me in a double room. This room had gum on the floor, the bathroom looked dirty, the carpet was disgusting and discolored, overall it needed to be updated. I complained and they ignored my reservation, again, and put me in another double room. This room was slightly updated, but still not what I paid for! After returning a third time, they finally gave me the King room I paid for, but it was almost as disgusting as the first room. Luckily, I had business meetings and was not in my room very much, but it made the end of a long day very uncomfortable. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!!

We liked everything about the hotel. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and the location was on Broadway, just one short block from 7th Avenue. I would stay again. It was a very good experience. The only thing I questioned (but was not a big deal) was the bathroom was small - couldn't fit 2 people in at once. The shower pressure was too good. Meaning that it hurt the body when the hand held was used. The rain shower was good but if you didn't want to wet your hair, you had to use the hand held which in turn was so powerful that it hurt the body. It didn't bother me that much but it was the only thing that was a bit uncomfortable.

Central location Long time waiting for a room as the majority of flights from Brazil arrives in the morning, and I saw so many people doing check out before 12h and no rooms avaiable before 15h. Price very high, considering that there were few facilities (only one elevator to the street; no room service (food); no hot water in one day)

I have stayed in this hotel previously which is why I booked to stay here again. Both times I have stayed in the Novotel times square there has only been one elevator working from the street level up to the Reception area. This is quite frustrating as you can be waiting a fair while for the elevator at times.
The location was brilliant and the hotel was lovely. The view of the lights is great. That is why I picked this hotel. I picked the hotel because of the view of the lights from the restaurant and it was taking my partner away for birthday. In saying this we never sat in the restaurant because we had breakfast one morning and it cost us 50 dollars for one fry and cereal. I felt it was absolutely disgraceful. It was a lovely looking hotel and location was great but i would not stay there again as we spent more time out of it becausde it was way too expensive.
The location is perfect, 200m to times square, rooms r very clean and comfortable. Why I paid so much, just only for times sq view, if there is another room, room doesnt worth for it. By reservation pay attention on this!!! Wifi should be free if I pay hundreds of Dollars for stayin there.
