The hotel is in a fabulous location in the middle of the theater district. Once you step into the hotel the city smell is gone and replaced by a blast of fragrance. The lobby is wide and decorated nicely. The elevator system is very efficient with elevators going to certain floors. The room was comfortable enough for the 3 of us. They never have enough people working at the desk. There are always lines throughout the day. A desk for questions would be helpful. For a hotel with 1,331 rooms they need more than 2-3 people assisting guests.
The furniture and the look of the room was nice; very modern. Also seemed very clean. Priced reasonably. Check in took quite a while and when we got to the counter the employee said she was upgrading us but I don't believe that was the case because the room was very small. One very simple thing was that there was no full length mirror which does not help when I'm getting ready for my boyfriend's birthday dinner.
Rooftop terrace, food service, and comfortable rooms. Bit overpriced. We have had comparable or better stays, for less money.
Nothing. Definitely STAY AWAY from that place!! I came at freezy night, the room temperature was at 76 and didn't go higher. I called operator, he sent "engineer" which couldn't do anything he said that's the highest, i called operator and said it's not acceptable, he said the they can't do nothing the whole hotel is set at this temperature (really??). I said show me another room as u sound now ridiculous. Then the same(!) "engineer" came and.. oh miracle (!) he fixed it. I said all of u guys are such LIARS!! Just made me SO mad and irritated for no reason. Overall: WAY overpriced hotel for the way it is, HORRIBLE "costumer service" from most of the stuff here, no room delivery after 11:30pm (really?!), No parking space, Spent almost $300/night for the room doesn't even have tube. It's not a hotel, it's bullshit!.
Location, Location, Location!
The most unfriendly staff I have encountered at a hotel
Extremely friendly staff upgraded us to a king bed, left champagne in our room for our husband's birthday
They didn't honor the booking for three so we walked out.
The did not clean the room very well
Location No elite services on weekends - $ charge to print out boarding pass - failed to clean room - front desk staff was not guest oriented - platinum member - will look for other hotels.
Clean Elegance and very rustic gets the true eccentricity for New York The AC didn't really work need an update or worked on to get room at right temperature
Location is great! room wifi signal too weak to get connected. Call operator 3 times and went to lobby twice. Reboot phone, other tricks. Not working. Staff show no patient. Told me to try another day... Room is not clean at all. Did not want to stay here in the future. Be aware! The hotel is going to charge you addition 20 dollar for wifi and facility. It is mandatory, although their wifi may not work!
Location was near Broadway shows, subway, and lotsa shops/restaurants. Staff was friendly n helpful. I received a parking ticket in front of hotel while I was checking in !
The staff was friendly and accommodating . The check out time was clearly stated for 12 pm . We went down to have breakfast in their hotel at the Tick Tock . Came back to our room to get our luggage at 11:45am , and to our surprise , our room keys no longer worked. We had a train to catch , so this was a huge inconvenience . When we finally got into our room , my husband went to dump our cooler down the bathtub and there was a huge roach in the tub . The cockroach was the size of a deck of cards . If we didn't have a train to catch , we would've went right down and complained . I called the hotel numerous times to tell them about this roach problem we encountered , left messages for the manager , but never received a return call . Very disappointed and will NEVER stay there again , or recommend to anyone .
The decor and availability of room service as well as the location The hotel is very small and cramped. The floor we stayed on had a horrible fried food odor that was overwhelming every day of our stay. I did not feel that the overall quality was representative of a 5-star hotel.
Location & service.
Location Poor a/c - room was very warm. Bathroom was small and bed wasn't that comfortable
The hotel has a lot of things going for it, judging by our recent visit. The property is very clean, the location close to Times Square and Hell's Kitchen is convenient, and there is a subway stop on the same block. The room was very spacious and comfortable. All in all, it was a great stay. The only thing to point out is if you're a light sleeper, earplugs may be needed. We were on the ninth floor but could still hear cars blowing their horns and there is a police station next door, so sirens can frequently be heard.
Good location Tiny room, too small for 4 people, could not open luggage. No coffee or water in lobby. Unfriendly front desk staff. Promised to move us on second night but never followed through.
This place is very clean and up to date. The size of the room.
Small rooms as though it was built for an aeroplane. Compact but with the essentials. FYI No fridge.
