Most visitors from the United States, regardless of vaccination status, can enter Luxembourg.

Luxembourg entry details and exceptions

Travel restrictions do not apply to the following:

1. Citizens of the EU, and Schengen associated countries including their family members

2. Long-term EU residents and their family members

3. Travelers with an essential function or need

Permitted travelers aged 12 years and 2 months, or older, must present any of the following upon boarding:

1. Recognized vaccination certificate

2. Certificate of recovery

3. Negative covid test result (NAAT taken 48hrs before the flight) or (Antigen taken 24hrs before the flight)

COVID-19 testing requirements
Test type

Visitors from the United States are not required to present a negative COVID-19 PCR test or antigen result upon entering Luxembourg.

Details and exceptions
A negative result of the test must be presented, if necessary accompanied by a translation, in one of the administrative languages of Luxembourg or in English, Italian, Spanish or Portuguese.
Children who are under 12 years old are exempt from the test requirements.
Travelers from permitted third countries no longer need to have a negative test result.
Quarantine requirements

Visitors from the United States are not required to quarantine after entering Luxembourg.

There is no requirement to quarantine when entering Luxembourg for most arrivals.

COVID-19 testing requirements
Test type

Travelers returning from Luxembourg must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) or Antigen (quick-test) test taken within 1 day for RT-PCR (NAAT) and 1 day for Antigen (quick-test) before departure to the United States.

Details and exceptions
Effective:December 6th, 2021: A COVID-19 negative test result taken within 1 day before departure must be presented to the airline before boarding your flight. This applies to ALL incoming air travelers, regardless of vaccination status or nationality.
Children under the age of 2 are exempt from test requirements as well as travelers who have both valid proof or documentation of recovery from COVID-19 in the past 90 days and a letter from a valid healthcare authority who has stated that they are cleared for travel. Refer to the CDC Website for more details.
Quarantine requirements

Visitors returning from Luxembourg are not required to quarantine upon entering the United States.

Details and exceptions
Foreign nationals (non-U.S. citizens and non-U.S. immigrants) who are not fully vaccinated and are permitted to travel to the US by air by meeting certain vaccine exemptions are required to self quarantine for 7 days, unless they have a valid COVID-19 recovery document.
Travelers should also follow state and local requirements and recommendations after travel.
