COVID-19 testing requirements
Test type

Visitors from the United States must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) or Antigen (quick-test) test taken within 72 hours for RT-PCR (NAAT) and 72 hours for Antigen (quick-test) before departing to The Bahamas.

Children under the age of two (2) are exempt from presenting a COVID-19 test.
Quarantine requirements

Visitors from the United States are not required to quarantine after entering The Bahamas.

Documents
Travelers must fill out the Bahamas Travel Health Visa application and receive confirmation before travel. Travelers under 18 years of age must be added to the parent or guardian account. Applications take up to 48 hours to process. If you are a resident of the Bahamas, you do not require a Travel Health Visa.
Health Insurance
All travelers are required to opt-in for mandatory COVID-19 health insurance when submitting their Bahamas Travel Health Visa application. The insurance covers travelers for the duration of their stay in The Bahamas.

An eVisa is the fastest and easiest way of obtaining a Bahamas visa as you can submit an application and supporting documents online. If approved, you'll receive your eVisa confirmation electronically. When you arrive in the Bahamas, border crossing will ask for your passport and eVisa to ensure you have the proper visas.

COVID-19 testing requirements
Test type

Travelers returning from The Bahamas must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) or Antigen (quick-test) test taken within 1 day for RT-PCR (NAAT) and 1 day for Antigen (quick-test) before departure to the United States.

Effective:December 6th, 2021: A COVID-19 negative test result taken within 1 day before departure must be presented to the airline before boarding your flight. This applies to ALL incoming air travelers, regardless of vaccination status or nationality.
Children under the age of 2 are exempt from test requirements as well as travelers who have both valid proof or documentation of recovery from COVID-19 in the past 90 days and a letter from a valid healthcare authority who has stated that they are cleared for travel. Refer to the CDC Website for more details.
Quarantine requirements

Visitors returning from The Bahamas are not required to quarantine upon entering the United States.

Foreign nationals (non-U.S. citizens and non-U.S. immigrants) who are not fully vaccinated and are permitted to travel to the US by air by meeting certain vaccine exemptions are required to self quarantine for 7 days, unless they have a valid COVID-19 recovery document.
Travelers should also follow state and local requirements and recommendations after travel.
