COVID-19 testing requirements
Test type

Unvaccinated visitors from the United States must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) or Antigen (quick-test) test taken within 72 hours for RT-PCR (NAAT) and 48 hours for Antigen (quick-test) before departing to Belize.

Fully vaccinated visitors with approved vaccination certificates do not need to present a negative COVID-19 test.

Details and exceptions
Home testing kits are not accepted. Travelers who are unable to take a COVID test before arrival will be required to take a test on arrival at their own expense. This requirement does not apply to travelers under the age of 5 and travelers who are fully vaccinated.
Travelers entering Belize through the Northern and Western borders will be required to take a COVID-19 rapid test at their own expense. External COVID-19 PCR or rapid tests will not be accepted.
Quarantine requirements

Visitors from the United States are not required to quarantine after entering Belize.

Details and exceptions
Unvaccinated travelers arriving without a negative COVID-19 test result are required to take a test on arrival. Travelers who test positive must quarantine for at least 10 days at their own expense.
Documents
Travelers are required to have proof of booking at a Gold Standard Certified Hotel or accommodation. This requirement does not apply to foreign homeowners, long stay non-nationals, VFR (visiting friends and relatives) and Belizean citizens and permanent residents.
Travelers are required to purchase travel health insurance with COVID-19 coverage from a local insurance provider before traveling to Belize. This requirement does not apply to citizens and permanent residents of Belize and long-stay non-nationals, Diplomats and military personnel, and Airline crew and travelers in Belize for less than 24 hours.
Visitor Visa
A paper or embassy visa is the only type of visa available for visitors. Typically the visa is a stamp or sticker added to your passport. You must submit your application through the consulate or local visa center.

You don't need a visa for Belize if you hold a multiple-entry visa or valid residence permit for the United States or Canada, or hold a valid multiple-entry Schengen visa.

COVID-19 testing requirements
Test type

Travelers returning from Belize must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) or Antigen (quick-test) test taken within 1 day for RT-PCR (NAAT) and 1 day for Antigen (quick-test) before departure to the United States.

Details and exceptions
Effective:December 6th, 2021: A COVID-19 negative test result taken within 1 day before departure must be presented to the airline before boarding your flight. This applies to ALL incoming air travelers, regardless of vaccination status or nationality.
Children under the age of 2 are exempt from test requirements as well as travelers who have both valid proof or documentation of recovery from COVID-19 in the past 90 days and a letter from a valid healthcare authority who has stated that they are cleared for travel. Refer to the CDC Website for more details.
Quarantine requirements

Visitors returning from Belize are not required to quarantine upon entering the United States.

Foreign nationals (non-U.S. citizens and non-U.S. immigrants) who are not fully vaccinated and are permitted to travel to the US by air by meeting certain vaccine exemptions are required to self quarantine for 7 days, unless they have a valid COVID-19 recovery document.
Travelers should also follow state and local requirements and recommendations after travel.
