Bermuda Travel Restrictions

Unvaccinated visitors from the United States will not be allowed to enter Bermuda.
Vaccinated visitors from the United States can enter Bermuda with a negative COVID-19 test result.

For restrictions that apply to vaccinated visitors, please check the official guidelines from Bermuda for the types of accepted and permitted COVID-19 vaccinations, requirements on proof of vaccination certificates, vaccination validity period, and persons and/or groups that may be exempt from vaccination restrictions.


Bermuda entry details and exceptions

All visitors arriving in Bermuda must be fully vaccinated. This does not apply to persons younger than 12 years and crew. Residents returning to Bermuda are not required to be vaccinated but a quarantine period applies Children aged 11 and younger will take on the vaccination status of the guardian traveling with them.

All immunized travelers will be given a red wristband upon arrival. Immunized travelers with pretest must wear it until receiving the negative arrival test. Immunized travelers WITHOUT pretest must wear it until receiving the negative DAY 4 test. Test and vaccine documentation must be uploaded to your travel authorization application.

COVID-19 testing requirements
Test type

Visitors from the United States must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) or Antigen (quick-test) test taken within 4 days for RT-PCR (NAAT) and 2 days for Antigen (quick-test) before departing to Bermuda.

Details and exceptions
All visitors aged 2 and older must have proof of a negative COVID-19 test result (both supervised antigen and PCR tests are accepted).
Quarantine requirements

Unvaccinated visitors from the United States will need to quarantine for 4 days upon entering Bermuda.

Fully vaccinated visitors with approved vaccination certificates do not need to quarantine.

Details and exceptions
Unvaccinated travelers are required to get an arrival COVID-19 PCR test and quarantine for 4 days. After that travelers are required to get a day 4 COVID-19 PCR exit test, and a day 10 supervised antigen test (the day of arrival is day 0)

Travel Authorisation Applications can be purchased for $40 up to a month before travel to permit review by the Quarantine Authority.

COVID-19 testing requirements
Test type

Travelers returning from Bermuda must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) or Antigen (quick-test) test taken within 1 day for RT-PCR (NAAT) and 1 day for Antigen (quick-test) before departure to the United States.

Details and exceptions
Effective:December 6th, 2021: A COVID-19 negative test result taken within 1 day before departure must be presented to the airline before boarding your flight. This applies to ALL incoming air travelers, regardless of vaccination status or nationality.
Children under the age of 2 are exempt from test requirements as well as travelers who have both valid proof or documentation of recovery from COVID-19 in the past 90 days and a letter from a valid healthcare authority who has stated that they are cleared for travel. Refer to the CDC Website for more details.
Quarantine requirements

Visitors returning from Bermuda are not required to quarantine upon entering the United States.

Details and exceptions
Foreign nationals (non-U.S. citizens and non-U.S. immigrants) who are not fully vaccinated and are permitted to travel to the US by air by meeting certain vaccine exemptions are required to self quarantine for 7 days, unless they have a valid COVID-19 recovery document.
Travelers should also follow state and local requirements and recommendations after travel.
