Most visitors from the United States need to provide a negative COVID-19 test result and/or quarantine to enter Guyana.

Border status

Travelers must complete an online Passenger Locator Form at least 24 hours before arrival. Travelers should carry a printed copy of their Passenger Locator Form and their negative PCR COVID-19 test results for the airline at check-in.

COVID-19 testing requirements
Test type
Visitors from the United States must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) test taken 168 hours before departing to Guyana.
Exceptions

Travelers with a negative COVID-19 PCR test issued within 1-3 days prior to arrival will not be subjected to any further health checks.

Quarantine requirements
Visitors from the United States are not required to quarantine after entering Guyana.

COVID-19 testing requirements
Test type
Travelers returning from Guyana must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) or Antigen (quick-test) test taken 72 hours before departure to the United States.
Exceptions

Children under the age of 2 are exempt from presenting a COVID-19 test.

Travelers with proof of recovery from the virus within the last 90 days prior to boarding. Proof of a recent positive viral test and a letter from your healthcare provider or a public health official stating that you were cleared to travel.

Quarantine requirements
Visitors returning from Guyana will need to quarantine for 7 days upon entering the United States.
Exceptions

Travelers who did not get tested, are advised to stay home and self-quarantine for 10 days after travel.​
