Travel to Mayotte is severely restricted until further notice. Only travelers who can prove that entry is for urgent family/work reasons will be allowed to enter, and they will be expected to fill in a travel certificate and provide proof.
Visitors from the United States must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) test taken 72 hours before departing to Mayotte.
All travelers over the age of 11 must undertake a test for COVID-19 within 72 hours before departure for Mayotte. The test is obligatory and the traveler must show proof of a negative result before embarking.
Visitors from the United States will need to quarantine for 7 days upon entering Mayotte.
Travelers returning from Mayotte must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) or Antigen (quick-test) test taken 72 hours before departure to the United States.
This applies to ALL incoming air travelers even those who have been fully vaccinated.
Children under the age of 2 are exempt from presenting a COVID-19 test results.
Visitors returning from Mayotte are not required to quarantine upon entering the United States.
Fully vaccinated visitors with approved vaccination certificates do not need to quarantine.
Travelers are not required but recommended to quarantine between 7-10 days after arrival in the US.
A COVID-19 test is recommended to be taken 3-5 days after arrival. If the test is negative, it is recommended that travelers quarantine for 7 days. If the test is positive, they should self-isolate until recovery.
Travelers should check quarantine requirements for the specific states they are going to as some states may still have mandatory quarantine for incoming international travelers.
Most foreign visitors from the United States will not be allowed to enter Mayotte. Please check the official guidelines from Mayotte for permitted groups and exceptions to the entry restrictions.
Fully vaccinated visitors from the United States will not be allowed to enter Mayotte.
Unvaccinated visitors from the United States will not be allowed to enter Mayotte.
