COVID-19 testing requirements
Test type
Visitors from the United States must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) test taken 120 hours before departing to Uganda.
Exceptions

Travelers without a negative test certificate are not allowed to travel. Children under the age of 3 are exempt as long as the accompanying parents have a negative test certificate.

Quarantine requirements
Visitors from the United States are not required to quarantine after entering Uganda.

COVID-19 testing requirements
Test type
Travelers returning from Uganda must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) or Antigen (quick-test) test taken 72 hours before departure to the United States.
Exceptions

Children under the age of 2 are exempt from presenting a COVID-19 test.

Travelers with proof of recovery from the virus within the last 90 days prior to boarding. Proof of a recent positive viral test and a letter from your healthcare provider or a public health official stating that you were cleared to travel.

Quarantine requirements
Visitors returning from Uganda will need to quarantine for 7 days upon entering the United States.
Exceptions

Travelers who did not get tested, are advised to stay home and self-quarantine for 10 days after travel.​
